The hotel has its own beach. Lanai view was parking lot with plants taller than patio.
The spa was terrific (we went back for seconds) and the live music at the pool-side restaurant was lovely. This hotel was a bit pricey, considering the level of service.
Room very nice, loved the beach. Always enjoy the jazz in the evening, location excellent.
I liked the view from our room, and the restaurant attached to the hotel had great food. the town itself was excellent and beutiful. very over priced tho. the price was very high for what you get. The staff were only alright. the front desk staff were great, but the servers in the restaurant were very unpleasant and dident seem to care. although the food was great, the servers were not.
Absolute perfect location to experience all of Key West! Big bonus having the option to enjoy the beach/ocean and the pool. Will stay here again.
Very good location; own parking lot; roof-top bar; fresh fruits for breakfast
Our room was charming and tastefully decorated--very Key West. Extremely quiet. Nice rooftop pool.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The amenities and staff were outstanding. The location to all the hot spots in Key West was so convenient. We couldn't have asked more more. It made our wedding getaway that much more pleasurable. There was nothing that we didn't lik .
The best is the location. You don't need to use the car. It's clean. No charm. It's impersonal. It fright me when I find ear plug in the room and your wine come in a plastic cup!
The hotel is very centrally located, and has a nice lobby and bar, and the pool area looked good for families The room had no window and was extremely dark. Light bulbs were burned out and the bedspreads were very dingy and dirty looking. For the money I paid, this was extremely disappointing.
The location is excellent. The room was very quiet and comfortable. One of the main reasons I booked here was because there was a pool at the site. It was very disappointing to find out upon arrival that the pool was not in service. The hotel should have given reserved customers advanced warning so that other arrangements could have been made.
not much very tiny, tiny bathroom. window was to look out at Duval street. impossible. rooms to small. stayed with because was a Crowne Plaza. was the worst one ever because of size and no BKF included. only friendly staff was the valet, probably for the tip. no thank-you, have a good day from from desk when checked out
Comfortable room with couch (instead of the usual table & chairs), nice decor (shutters instead of blinds, marble bathroom vanity). A short walk to Mallory Square and many good restaurants. Construction was in progress on facade, so had to use side & back entrances, but noise wasn't an issue.
Rooms are small, over priced, front desk made us stay in lobby for an hour before checking in, (from 3:00 until 4:00) we were booked 2 weeks in advance.
Very professional Small bathroom
the location was in the center of duval st. that is really all the good i have to say... I did not like that we had to walk through old, nasty water puddle to get to the pool from our location, I did not like the extremely high prices in the restaurant, and when we looked for breakfast the next morn, we were told it was a $16. buffet. I thought we were promised breakfast with our reservation, so we ate somewhere else, only to ask later about it and the front desk clerk looked at me like I was stupid, then reluctantly gave me a pass for the next day? Room way overpriced for not having a ceiling fan or a functional air conditioner, it was set for what the hotel obviously wanted the temp at...
Great location, high standard and reasonable price. And parking which was rare in that neighborhood.
Attentive and responsive staff. The 4:00 am rooster, friendly bird but took his wake up service very seriously. Being located at Mallory , the 5:30 am dumpster collection finished any further attempts to remain in the comfortable bed. Great facility, noisy location.
the location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. The decorating is whimsical masking the garage. the pool area is comfortable and friendly. We were able to rent great bicycles right there.
Room was spacious and clean. Our room had no view; we were practically on a parking lot with cars parked a few feet away. We had asked for a quiet room with a view and we were supposed to get a "view of the Old Town". "Island view" means looking out on a car park! The room had a connecting door to another room and we could hear all from next door (and they from us). Front desk staff quite rude: if you book with Booking.com, you'll automatically get the worst rooms, this is what you get if you go for their low rates..., we were told. There is no beach, just a small pool. However, we were able to leave after 2 nights.
The location, decor, and service were excellent, and the amenities were most pleasant.
Pool is awesome. Nice rooms. Location is also great. A little difficult to navigate hotel.
The location was great, staff at front desk were friendly, the pool area and the rooms were all good and comfortable, bathrooms were nice. Overall very good experience The cupboards in the rooms under tv (518 and 520) were very tatty - chipped etc not good for the image and price we were paying
Best location for Key West. Every thing is close by, Not cheap but worth it.Would stay there again Restaurant was closed on the last day of our stay. No idea why.
Customer service and staff was excellent. The view of the Golf of Mexico was paradise.
My visit was due to a wedding I attended at the resort. Location was beautiful. Overall the staff were helpful, kind and considerate. The room housekeeper did not understand English and I was unable to get items requested of her.
The location of the resort is better then most, the one LCD/Plasma TV in the room was nice, and the bedding was comfortable. They failed to notify us that the hotel would be under going various construction activities during our stay (water pipe repairs/changes, elevator nearest room didn't function, etc... or that we would be forced to endure daily the excruciating noise of rigs pounding in 100'+ metal beams immediately adjacent to the pool as part of pier repairs. The concierge's changed daily and apparently make a considerable amount of money from referral fees/commissions paid directly to them by vendors providing any and every type of service (boat outings, dinner reservations, car rentals, etc...) to the tourists. This resulted in Concierge B on Monday providing us completely different recommendations then Concierge A had on Saturday. This was so extreme it would have been comical had it not left me with absolutely no faith that any of them were actually interested in meeting my/our needs which is really the heart of what I did not like about this hotel and did not feel was properly represented in the comments shown on Bookings website. This was merely one stop in a lengthy vacation my wife and I took for our 15 year anniversary, but it was supposed to be the highlight as we were there for 10 days and willing to pay for the best of the best throughout. In all reality it was clear that if we had just drove up for the weekend we would have received a better rate and room.
Wonderful view from the room of sunset island and sunsets, awesome pool with great drinks and bartenders that'll bring them to you in the pool, great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable, loved every minute of staying here!!! Leaving
The location was great - right near the pier and overlooking the ocean. Our room was large (we were in a 1 bedroom suite), but everything was dated in the room. Plus, I found some leftover trash from what I imagine was the previous occupant in the bedroom so seems like housekeeping was not very thorough. Staff at the front desk was ok, but not incredibly helpful, just average.
It was a beautiful hotel with really stunning landscaping and great pools. Pricey, but worth it in my opinion
everything is perfect! excellent place for stay! love this hotel!
A very nice and charming place to stay. A great value and perfect for couples. The staff are wonderful! We will definitely be back. If you decide not to pay the $25/day to park in their spaces it can get a bit tricky to find parking.
The resort is broken up into small pool areas. We were given a street facing room which had road construction going on all week, making the balcony unusable and preventing sleep at night. The VACANCY sign was posted at the office. We feel they should have been sensitive to this situation and given us another room.
Very little. Yet, the place appears brand new ( the pictures on booking.com are still the planning pictures). It's only attraction is that it is within walking distance from duval Street, say 15 minutes to midpoint of Duval Street. Rooms were clean and relatively spacous and internet was free. Forget about the announced 'island view' or 'pool view', to be renamed 'street view' (= no view), or 'parking lot view': indeed, two sides of the very small inner pool (area) are literally adjacent to the hotel inner parking lot. There is basically no lobby, as the small area adjacent to reception is used as a rather primitive self service breakfast area, all with plastic/foam plates and cups, with the cups for orange juice just large enough for a standard shot of whisky, but then without adding ice. No wonder they make you prepay for the stay. Certainly no resort hotel, and way overpriced ... And by the way: we had booked a "street view" and were allotted a "parking lot view" instead ( at a 20 usd rebate per night).
New renovated, well equipped and really clean rooms. They've charged us a city tax twice however when we've complained they had returned one payment immediately.
This hotel is brand new and the facilities are excellent. Great value.
The room was clean Receptionist was not pleasant, tried to ask for a different softer pillow, was told there are only the pillows in the room and there were no different than those. Not helpful at all. Breakfast was not much to much to speak of, some pastries, and over cooked hard boiled eggs. Definitely not worth the money . It was close to Duvall Street but other than that there is nothing that would compell me to stay there again!
Excellent choice for a weekend escape. Nice and clean king room at the corner of the hotel. Not too close from downtown but yet at walking distance.
Our room had a full kitchen, was very reasonably priced, and the staff was superb. They were very flexible with our arriving early and checkin out late. Everyone made the effort to look me in the eye and greeted me with a smile. Very professional. The cleaning staff started their rounds pretty early, like 9:30, and we weren't up and moving yet.
The room was clean, nice pool area, the location was great and very friendly staffs. I'll definitely stay here again. None
Very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, the best location (walking distance to Duval restaurants and galleries), cozy rooms, outdoor chairs right by your room, life music from the next door restaurant. I will definitely come back and would recommend to stay at Wicker Guesthouse . The outdoor patio looks a little old, but due to the weather specific in the Keys (rain and flooding ) I guess it's not easy to keep it at perfect condition all the time. Everything else is great.
First, THE LOCATION. It was perfect. Its centrally located. Everything is at walking distance (Mallory Sq., Southern most point, Duval, etc). We could even come back to the hotel in no time for a quick shower in the evening before we headed out for dinner again. The house itself is very cozy and comfortable. We were received by this very nice lady who gave us an overview of the town and the hotel. The house had this unique antique look. The room was very clean and very well maintained. We were there only for a night but i wish we had a few more days to spare. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good too. The lady serving the breakfast was very nice and polite as well. Over all we had a great time. I would definitely recommended this house for an extended stay.
Large Suite for Key West. Super clean. Location Location Location!! Nope.
The location The bed was a lil worn out.
Beautiful spacious rooms, especially for Key West, charming pool area and accommodating staff.
Staff, grounds, amenities, fridge/microwave in room Not all the towels were stain-free; iron was dirty and ruined a shirt; I'm not a fan of 'continental breakfasts' as they are carb heavy and nutrient poor. But, that seems the standard in the US...too bad the standard couldn't be exceeded
Quiet. Great location. Nice staff. Very comfortable. No
Great location in the midst of the Old Town. Very nice room, helpful staff
Beautifully landscaped, wonderful room. The location is charming, quiet and private, yet only a few blocks from the main Duval Street strip. There is a scooter rental place 2 blocks away and they have bicycles for rent on-site. Delightful. Romantic.
Nice rooms, relaxing pool, good breakfast and close to Ferry terminal. distance from Duval street, little far for walking every day
- General location - Pillows very hard. Mattress uncomfortable. - The weather outside was so nice that leaving windows open would be great, but with no screens on windows, choice between AC and flying insects. - I wish the site had made it clear that hotel had two set of buildings, one by the hotel office, the other across a very busy street (Eaton). Checking in and then bringing luggage back over was a little scary. Same with crossing street for breakfast.
The staff was very friendly and responsive. The breakfast was really good. I didn't think the linens were really up to the standards of an expensive hotel. There was a plastic like cover on the mattress which I couldn't stand. The staff gave me an extra comforter to cover it which made it a lot better. The pillows were hard. We had one bar of soap to share between the shower and 2 sinks. The window blinds were cheap and didn't cover the window adequately, and so much light came through from the security light that we couldn't sleep. We covered it with paper after the first night. It looked like they never cleaned behind the bathroom door.
Front desk was very curious and accommodating.
Room was clean and comfortable. Great location! The continental breakfast was great! The pool temperature was HOT. Why would you heat a pool in July?
Location, clean, and friendly PARKING! On street parking only, not very fun.
My husband and I came to Key West for a short getaway. We were very please with Ambrosia. The staff and amenities met all of our expectations. The staff was lovely, the breakfast was delicious with many hot and cold choices, the property was beautiful and quiet and we loved being only a couple of blocks from Duval street. We liked that we could relax and recharge at Ambrosia when we needed to and we could walk down to Duval street for the action. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Staff was very helpful and friendly, room was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again!
The staff here is amazing, especially Lexi at the front desk/office. She constantly answered our questions and gave great suggestions and met all of our needs. She was extremely accommodating to things we needed while traveling with a 2.5 yr old. The rest of the staff was amazing as well, we just mainly interacted with Lexi. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The hotel is very quaint with beautiful grounds and great pools. They provide a full complimentary hot breakfast which was delicious. It is very close to everything you need in town so you can walk almost everywhere! If we came back to Key West we would definitely stay at the Ambrosia again! The ONLY con I would say is that the wifi is very slow.
Cleanliness Location...when I left, there was no one available for check out
SHORT WALK TO DUVAL AND SIGHTS OF OLD TOWN. STAFF EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY. NICE HAPPY HOUR AND CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. ROOM WAS QUIET. NO
An amazing hotel, especially the staff does a great job! Worth the price! Ask for the receptionist, he did an outstanding great job...Without him our stay wouldn't have been so great in Key West! Thank you!
The staff were all pleasant and informative. Amenities just as they said. I love bananas you can add them to the free breakfast. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. I have already recomended The Cabana Inn to my son.
The staff were super polite! The room was not the cleanest! Hair all over bathroom. Seemed over priced as well.
Location was excellent! Continental breakfast and happy hour of wine and cheese was very well done. Three flights of stairs to carry bags up and down without assistance offered. Had to pay for bike rentals from the hotel. Many places have them as a complimentary service. The tv was small and didn't rotate properly to be seen adequately from the bed.
Great pool, no children, quiet. We can even manage the roosters for no kids and a real pool. :)
Quiet and low key. Staff very accomodating. THey let you do what you want with no hassle. Nothing.
the closenes to town great staff beatufil lay out great pool and spa great happy hour would recomend to anyone none
hotel staff, spa, waterpool,
very nice jacuzzi, nice gardens too small rooms
extremely friendly hotel staff; warm atmosphere; nice building with lots of plants and trees; serving free drinks during siesta time; 10min on foot to Duval street 1) Our room was facing the swimming pool and a fountain with a small waterfall which was extremely noisy 24/7. Moreover, at 10 am hotel stuff at the reception switched the music on which was supposed to be heard everywhere in the hotel as well as in our room. This was rather uncomfortable to listen to the waterfall noise all night accompanied by loud music starting from 10 a.m. 2) Being located on the ground floor, our room had the only window facing the path from all rooms to the swimming pool. Therefore we had to keep the curtains shut all the time and use electric lightning instead of day one which is pretty uncomfortable. Otherwise we had hotel guests walking all around next to our window!
The hospitality of the Eden House staff was amazing! We travel often and it was probably the best customer service experience we've ever had at a hotel or resort. Mike was great and made us feel right at home. The location was great and was only about 6 blocks from Duval street, so it was close to there, but far enough away for some peace and quiet. The layout of the hotel was wonderful because it had a bed and breakfast feel to it, but had a nice pool area in the courtyard and a hammock area. The only complaint we could find was that we had a spot on our sheets, but the room was clean and seemed to just be a stain that bleach didn't remove. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we'd definitely stay there again next time!
The room was to smalle with the bed in a corner. Nice garden, Price high compared to room standard Larger rooms
The Eden house is a nice property, nicely kept. Did not like the staff, this is my 2nd time staying there, I must say, last time the staff was much nicer, and informative. This time the girl just took us to our room and that;s it, no frills, no warm fuzzy welcoming feeling,,,she did not even mention that they have a complimentary happy hour, I knew because I had stayed there before. Kinda rude staff. Poor parking!
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with native Florida foliage and it really gives a feeling of being isolated in a tropical setting, yet it's not a long walk to Duval Street. Everything is kept clean and we didn't see any bugs inside the rooms or out. They just go above and beyond at the Eden House, from little extra conveniences in the rooms to hammocks scattered around the property, and a little happy hour every night. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and you will surely have a chance to meet the owner as well. No complaints from us!
What a great location. The room was small but adequate for what we wanted. We parked the car and walked everywhere. Would suggest to everyone on a budget and wanting a unique experience Everything was great. Cannot think of one negative comment
Gracious staff. Went out of their way to help us have a great vacation. Tasteful decor. Very relaxing, welcoming atmosphere.
Staff was friendly and very service-minded. The hotel is small and quiet, with nicely decorated rooms. Good location for those of us who want to be close to events, but not have our sleep disturbed by the noise. Be aware that the breakfast is served during limited hours. The staff was happy to get some breakfast out for us, as we turned up twenty minutes after the breakfast hours ended, but it's of course better to make it in time!
Knowledgable, informative, friendly, and helpful staff. Onsite parking was a little cramped for comfort.
We did not get a poolside king room
The perfect week-end get-away.
staff. especially Michael was great and very informatife and helpfull.
nobody at the reception despite the fact a confirmed booking! I could not get into the room and had to call an emergency number, the guy did not want to come to the hotel to open the room for us. I lost 50 dollar phone call with him to get myself a room key. Poor self-service breakfast, no bread, cheese, ham, just some cereal, a yoghurt and a muffin. Very expensive. I also cancelled my third night (a Saturday) and they simply divided the total price in three, while all hotels charge the most for the Saturday, I had to pay here the same for everyday of the week. So we did not like the hotel at all!
It was so quiet the air conditioner was a little insificient
Close to Duval Street; great staff, comfortable room and good food. Cold water in the shower in the morning. It took a long time for the hot water to come through.
Good clean room, excellent breakfast and ideal location.
Great service, beautiful historic building, comfortable rooms! Would defintely return to this place!
It is right in the heart of the activities area. 2 blocks for bike and motorscooter rental (highly recommended as parking is almost non-existent around the tourist and activities area - but you can park a bike or scooter anyway). Or just walk another couple of blocks. The room is quaint and charming. This is a small hotel, a converted old home like many of the hotels in the old area are. The pool area is charming as well. With I think only 6 or 8 rooms, very quiet. A couple of the rooms such as ours have a private bathroom/shower, but it is down the hall. Most rooms have their own bathroom. I didn't mind the private lockable bathroom being a few feet down the hall, but my wife wasn't that fond of that aspect. There is no on-site parking - also common to those little hotels in the activities, historic and tourist district, but you can unload there. You can park your scooter there. Anyone familiar with Key West knows it is bicycle and scooter town due to limited parking everywhere. Otherwise you have to find street parking (free). We arrived late and they let us leave our car in the driveway until the next morning. For Key West, the price certainly was right and again super convenient. The BIG motels and hotels cost much more and are FAR away - not within walking distance.
Like most reviews read, the hotel is located in a convenient location near enough to walk down Duval or head to Mallory Square. There is adequate parking for guest. Rooms are clean with a modern feel. The pool is popular with guest. Although small, it kept everyone happy. Breakfast was always set up by 7 am, but it is a light breakfast. If you want something heavier, there is a Denny's nearby that you can walk to. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast could have included eggs, and the bread choices dwindled if you came late, as it was not restocked. As said above, if you are looking for a bigger breakfast just walk over to Dennys.
Premises Breakfast included Mini terrace at each room Clean Location Having eggs, ham... something salty, would be a plus at breakfast minibar is empty/ no bar service around the pool Somewhat expensive
Good location, prople lind. Bugs in the bathroom
Really good service, clean rooms, great location. Overall nice place to stay. We had a room on the first level and you could hear every move made by the guests upstairs. Not for light sleepers.
Location and clean. I have nothing negative to say about our stay at Pegasus.
On Duval st and close to the action. The female staff at check in was rather rude. My mom entered first as she is ill while the rest of us got the luggage. My mon asked for a place to sit and was told by the female at the desk that there was nowhere to sit. She had to sit on the stairs. There was a seating area a few steps away around the corner. The room I was first given was hot, had a leaking fridge and a trail of ants on the wall. I hope my ethnicity had nothing to do with that. Never staying in this hotel again.
Smell of cigarette smoke in room even though the hotel is non-smoking.
Close to everything, quiet enough for its location, clean room. Nothing
The hotel is very well located. Lots of cockroaches and also they will just give you a bottle of water the day you arrive but if you stay more days they won't give you more.
Close to everything. older hotel but everything was nice. I'd stay again Had to pay for parking, the lot was one block away. No issues.
Great location right on duval st. Clean room and very helpful staff
Liked the location right on Duval Street and the rates. The rooms located above the pool and deck area are non smoking but because the people can smoke in the deck area under these rooms the smoke goes right up and into the ac and then filters into the room. When you enter it literally smells like someone has been smoking in the rooms. The rooms were small but for the rates that was okay. The thing I disliked most was the parking being located over a half of a block away. I think if I had none that before I booked I may have went with a different hotel, although I would have never been able to find the rates I did on a Friday night on Duval Street.
Old style hotel pleasant change from motels.Walking distance to most things of interest
Comfortable room, friendly staff, good location. Minimal parking (applies to whole town though).
good room and effective air conditioning Broken hair dryer
the bed was very comfortable, the location was perfect, the grounds were nice and relaxing the shower was less than ideal and there was no reading light or chair
Great friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the heart of Key West.
Location The rooms are well overpriced and in dire need of modernisation. Not even up to two star standard at four star prices.
Great staff, great location. Took care of our needs and special requests. Very nice atmosphere. Our "economy" room left much to be desired. Almost impossible for two people to be comfortable in the room. Bed could not be correctly made due to tight fit against side wall. Next time we'll stay in a larger room at Westwinds.
pleasant houses old-style, beautiful gardens, with library, neat places, dining in- and outside, 2 pools: a place to find peace and relax! the economy-room war quite little, but also neat
quite comfortable and clean. Facilities were good but not excellent. Nevertheless every hotel in the area is as expensive as this one. Poor breakfast.
I liked the kindness of the staff during all our stay. Not at all.
Location, beautiful room, nice people, pleasant friendly staff, good breakfast, would stay again.
The staff is great. I loved the atmosphere. Half a block from duval. Very quiet and clean. Great breakfast. Happy hour was very nice. Definitely going back!!!!
The hotel was amazing, very clean, quiet, friendly staff, great location, wonderful landscaping, clean salt pools. We really enjoyed our stay. This was the best place we have stayed in key west so far. We will return. My only suggestion is to watch for those extra fees (resort fee, parking fee, room amenities...). It was a bit much on top of the already expensive cost per night.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Extremely relaxing and beautiful place. It was brand new, clean, and luxurious! Nothing
Room Too expensivee
Loved the location. Near the marina. Near Duval Street. Resturant hours during the summer were limited. Nobody cares. Restaurants are everywhere.
