Kids loved the pool. Weight room was decent for a hotel gym. No wifi in my room! I had to go downstairs to the front lobby to get wifi. So no working from your room and no Netflix from your room. The room felt outdated. The lamps were old lamps, the bed was very stiff.
The elevator service was so poor the holes Halls were extremely hot Hotel elevator extremely slow and the Halls were completely hot could not breathe thank you I will not travel there again
It was nice that there were 2 pools and that they were available a lot of the time with long hours of operation. We updated for a "deluxe" room but we had mold on our ceiling, and there was a chunk of wood missing from our balcony, and also the mattress was very poor quality.
The hotel is too far from downtown. You have to take a bus and then the subway. The write-up gave you the impression that you are very close to downtown. We had to change our room due to the fact that the air wasn't working. The elevator was not working.
The room was extremely dirty, with the exception of the bed. There were almond bits left on the furnace and the tables were sticky. The décor of the room needs to be refurbished, as paint and other areas are deteriorating. There's also been multiple times when there were no staffs at the reception area, leading to long wait times.
Nice pool and workout facilities, good location, comfortable bed, nice grounds around the hotel On demand wasn't working we called several times for someone to come and fix and each time they said they would and never did. The pool was being repaired as we swam (painted around the pool area), the breakfast included was great however the information was not conveyed correctly and we were apparently in the "wrong dining area" the exact same breakfast was in the "right " are so don't understand the comment by staff.Simple information about the breakfast and hotel was not available in the room directory so we actually had to call down to ask(no reason for this if made available in the room)
the hotel is good for the value of money the elevator not working properly , no water boiler in the room
the only Too many stairs
Breakfast was good Staff was extremely helpful Rooms weren't clean Insects in room Slow elevators Balcony dirty
The location, lobby and pool were all nice features The rooms seemed very old and dirty, room service not that great
I had stayed here in the past and it always wasn't as nice as it was this time. Rooms have been painted and updated. The bed was great! Prices went up a little and still breakfast isn't included. Parking should be cheaper for those staying at the hotel.
When we arrived I had asked for a handicap room if available as my husband is disabled. We were given one on the first floor. When we entered the room it was hot and had a dank odor. The air conditioner was blowing out warm air only. We called the front desk they sent a gentleman to checkb it out. His reponse was "it's running as cold as it can". We asked to be moved to another room. The second room we were moved on the second floor was dirty and smelled of tobacco smoke. what upset me the most was the strong tobacco smoke smell on supposedly clean towels. At this point we were tired and didn't want to call the front desk again. The next day I had gone to the front desk again and stated the particulars. The women was very professional and very willing to make things righ. We were moved to the 6th floor and it was as if we were in a different hotel. It was clean well kept and did not smell! Update/upkeep the rooms that require updating. No wifi available in rooms on 1st and 2nd floors. 6th floor had wifi.
I did like the location for my purposes. However, it was a bit confusing getting to it and you had to follow the directions signs very carefully to get to the hotel. I found the food a little expensive for the quality that I received.
good location, clean and friendly staff
Location, location, location. Near Yorkdale Shopping mall. Did not like the fact I had to pay $7 for parking and had to pay $0.85 cents for local calling.
The location is good as it is located right beside a shopping mall and the subway station. overall moderate
Nicely decorated and above average food! Many young children running around, playing hide and seek in the hotel. Hockey teams, etc.
Clean, comfortable, inexpensive, updated, good access to freeway, and loved the amenities
The baby liked the pool Had my iPad stolen from my room during cleaning.
The service was great, fast check ins and friendly customer service. My only complaint was the price, it should have been a little cheaper.
It was affordable They need cleaner rooms and they need to renovate almost every part of the hote. Also the shuttle charge should be in bold writing so that you know in advance that you need to pay extra.
Nothing You will smell smoking everywhere in the building. You can hear people talking or having sex in rooms like they are right beside you. All night long, drug addicts were screaming, running, and knocking every single doors. Would never go back.
Location Room are in horrible conditions ac keep turning off toilet flush broken shower tab rusty Didn't complain it was bad experience left same day without argument it wasn't worth staying
Everyone was friendly even though they were doing renovations. Would have liked to go there after the pool was finished, it seemed very nice. It was an amazing deal,I expected the hotel to be slightly bad, but it was amazing.
Price Cleanliness ... beds probably had bed bugs
the cleaning staff were friendly but were over worked. The price was the only good thing There was fruit flies and there was cockroaches in the room. I had to buy bath room cleaning equipment to keep it clean. the corners and sides flithy. I had to reprogram my remote every 2 or 3 days. Some of the Font desk did not have good customer service skils
We liked the rate, the location, and the free parking. The website was decieving. It said free breakfast (there is no free breakfast). We saw bugs. The halways wreak of cigarette smoke. The room key would stop working daily and we would have to go to the front desk to reactivate it. The bathroom ventilation doesn't work. The televison, among many other furniture, was beyond outdated. Like circa WW2.
In Breakfast added Halal food WIFI will be perfect .
The stay was fine and we liked the duvet covers on the bed. It was very comfortable. Door in bathroom looked like it had water damage, shower may have caused the problem. When we showered the floor was full of water.
The breakfast was good and the staff working breakfast was wonderful. The air conditioner did not work and there was died blood on a pillow. The staff brushed these issues off saying they already had maintenance look at the AC.
comfortable bedrooms Hotel is too far out of "downtown " toronto and located on a busy ringroad and not convenient to go out walking.
The Young lady who was on the reception desk in the mornings we were there was absolutely brilliant. She was bright knowledgeable and advised us about going down town and also arranged our bus trip to niagra falls Possibly if lunch was served as we invited people over to lunch before we realised you did not serve lunch.(minor detail)
The staff that works there was friendly and accomodating. I made the reservation through Kayak, however upon check in the attendant at the front desk had couldn't find any indication that we had a reservation. I showed him my email receipt which included my confirmation # but he still wasn't able to locate our reservation. Luckily there were rooms available for the night, but unfortunately I had to pay for the room again.
Their high speed internet is actually the lowest speed I have ever experienced. And it goes on and off oftenly. About this the front desk already knew when complained. Which left us feel cheated at the first place. They should not say HIGH speed internet facility, when it actually crawls like a tortoise.
Nothing bad to say overall ! The only questionable thing is the parking. When we Check in they only ask for my Plate number and nothing about the parking fees. When I Check out they charge me 2 days parking... Just to let u know
Fleas in the room! Old and used off interior.
I loved the proximity of the different highways and to downtown Toronto. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant especially for a Sunday morning and I was underwhelmed by the room itself.
The room was quite large an the staff were nice The description of the hotel is deceitful, the hotel is not near any sights. You will have to pay $40 in a taxi just to get downtown. If you are there for a holiday, I'd suggest staying elsewhere
Only one of three elevator worked. This is a safety hazard. The shower curtain smelled. It made the bathroom smell like urine.
This brand hotel that you can stay worldwide but for the value of money the toronto east is the a good one for your consideration . Yes.
The staff were extremely polite, friendly, service oriented. I really got impressed by them. Everything was good.
Love that hotel and the Japanese restaurant there.
Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Wi-Fi should be free.
the tennis facility Not well maintained. Grass needed cutting.
Friendly helpful staff
Yes I would
quiet, great food, nicely appointed room, super service, nice location our mattress felt like we had to make an effor to roll out of it..i.e.sagged a bit in the middle!
Good location - nice amenities - good price The Hotel had not processed my booking and did not have the reservation in place - it took some time to sort it out.
Everything was great. The layout. The 3 restaurants located INSIDE. Several food establishments directly across the street. The location was good for someone who is driving or willing to use Public transportation to get downtown or to the mall. Wi-fi was free. Parking wad not free but was reasonable. Nothing bad really. Free parking would've been a cherry on an already delicious cake but $12 isn't bad.
Zen feeling, close to highway , specially if you dont need to be in downtown Toronto. Our coffee cup was not changed , actually had hair inside. The hotel staff was paologetic and compensated later.
Nice lobby. Comfortable bed. Good location. Bathroom was old and dirty. Ventilation was old and noisy. Elevator noise in room even with inner door closed.
our room had stains in the carpet and should have been steam cleaned.the check in attendant did not register our car or tell us there was a $11 parking charge
good parking, quiet area
I liked the price that we paid. I did not like the area that it was located in and the hotel is looking run down and in need of a sprucing up.
Located very close to Wonderland amusement park, Toronto, places to eat. Minor, but my sink seems to have had slow running drain. Once I reported it, it still wasnt corrected. Otherwise. I liked it.
Clean, excellent location and secure despite the neighbourhood. Reassuring to have #31 Division next door. I would be happy to stay there again and recommend to friends.
It had been a convenient location and themost accomodating. The price was budget-fitting, and the pool is another great feature to the hotel, where you probably can't find at other locals for as good a price. Besides having to pay for breakfast, there was an impressive selection of orders on the menu. I would visit again just for that! No.
Room and restaurants
I liked the price and I liked having two showers with one of them being a walk in shower. It was also quiet. The room was kept clean. I didn't like the location. The room was also advertised on Kayak as having a kitchenette but it did not. That was a major disappointment.
The hot tub and pool was very relaxing and open long hours. The room was amazing, we had a regular queen room. The bed was comfortable, there was a microwave and fridge, and there was a walk in glass shower. So comfortable and clean and at a very good price. The pillows weren't very comfortable, felt like a pillow case filled with air. When I'd put my head on the pillow a bunch of air would come out and the pillow was flat, not comfortable.
The king sized bed "Private patio" room was a cement slab directly conceded to the parking lot. Not even a chair on the patio. The sliding door on one patio was broken, an could not be opened. Tile floor by the pool was always wet, even 2 hours after the pool closed. The "hot tub" was pool temperature and the pool temperature was cooler than the lake. 9The resturant in the hotel was closed. "Continental breakfast included 1 muffin, an apple, and an orange juice.
Very nice staff, nice decor, comfortable beds, in-room mini-fridge with freezer compartment, clean room and common areas. Close to the airport without the noise of planes taking off. Lighting in the room was very dim, especially in the bathroom. It was hard to shave cleanly and virtually impossible for my wife to apply makeup at the vanity because of the poor light.
The comfort of the room was excellent and I enjoyed my stay. The room cleanliness needs to be improved. The room where I stayed had a big dirt mark on the carpet.
Bike trail 100m north of hotel. Decor was very up to date. Better than expected. Average sound proofing. Location is industrial. Exterior looks worn down.
It is very close - short 15-minute walk - to where my relatives live. And your breads are really wonderful, as highlighted ! So breakfast each morning (which is my most inportant meal for the day) was a big delight :) One Front Desk staff (gentleman) could have been more polite.
they told me i booked for a king bed, however I booked for 2 dble beds, and front desk made me feel as if I was lying
It would be nice to get a smile from your staff
the hotel is not located in Toronto city centre but in the North York City Centre, which is by subway 25 minutes away. the subway is just 2 minutes away by foot which is great. the quarter is very safe, a mall is under the hotel and lots of shops. the hotel is good, except the breakfast should be included in the room rate.
So confy and the location is perfect and I want to thank the house keeping they r so great All the ladies of the reception were so unfriendly
Nothing in particular They booked a king size bed room instead of a 2 beds room. The staff is poorly trained and always gave wrong information
location, close to sub, shops, supermarkets, resturants
The breakfast was very good and we liked the subway location right at the hotel. It was an easy trip into the downtown area. The room was on the small side and with the parking fee and all the taxes, our rate was almost $200 per night, which is on the very high end for us.
Good location, clean room, eco-friendly I was given the wrong room keys the first time
Wireless Internet Elevator
Location is the only thing good about this hotel. Start with the moldy smell in the hallway and room. Walls in both bedrooms had holes and dirty. Windows open because of moldy smell in room. Sheets on one bed was dirty. Worse lace I've ever tried to stay at, had to leave lose 2 paid nights.
The rooms were new and clean. It was also very spacious with a kitchenette It was too far away from downtown, a lot further than stated on the website
Though the residence inn is not fancy, it's very tidy and clean. The staff are very helpful too. The continental breakfast is bland.
Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Bus stops nearby. Comfortable beds. Wi-Fi connection was excellent. Difficult to get to the hotel using a GPS. You can see the hotel and not know how to get to the parking lot. I had to turn around twice before a student came in the car with us and showed us how to get to the hotel entrance.
Easy access from highway; very quiet. Like the space available per suite. A very strong cleaning or fragrance based smell... It was very bothersome, but luckily the room could be vented, and the smell was mostly gone by the second day.
I never knew that college residences also rented out rooms to people who where not attending their college. The room was half the price of anywhere else in Toronto and included a continental breakfast. The staff was quick to point out the HUGE display of pamphlets that no only featured things to do but also included big discounts on everything from travel to food. My room came with free internet, cable t.v., kitchenette and a large bathroom. I definately will be recommending them to all my friends.
convenient location Limited parking, Room felt congested, kitchenette counter crowded by tv, microwave, coffee pot on a tray over the sinkand pretty much unusable
Suite style rooms and kitchenette. Odd stale cigarette and cologne smell, the tub didn't drain well and I showered in about an inch of water.
The bed was very comfortable and it was good over all for one night, very homey. Kinda staff too. The room was small so for an extended stay there might not be much room for luggage. Communal kitchen, living room and bathroom - the staff actually stayed in a seperate house down the road. The "breakfast" was toast with jam or peanut butter and cereal. Simple, but good for a night!
The hotel staff - each and every one - were pleasant, effecient and very helpful!
no newspaper available for guests either delivered or in lobby.
the logation. it was to far from the subway
Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, pleasant staff, good pool facilities We were charged a $20 fee for parking over our four day stay. We were sightseeing every day so the car was only in the lot overnight. It was not noted when we booked that parking was extra. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Yorkdale in Toronto and they do not charge for parking. I think this should be included in room rates, especially if you're using their restaurant as well during your stay.
room was very, very nice, Bed was so comfortable My reservation was messed up. I called 2 times to confirm it and when I got there they still could not find it. I did not get the king size bed I requested.
