The staff was friendly. That's about it. To keep things simple: -The card reader on the door was broken. -The remote didn't work. -The air conditioner didn't turn on until nearly three hours after it should have. -The room smelled like smoke and dust. -The bathroom smelled like a combination of sewer and mold. -There was mold all over the shower and wooden stand in bathroom. (Ended up not even showering.) -There was a hole in the floor where the pipe led to the sewer, where I'd imagine much of the smell was coming from. Had to keep the bathroom door closed whenever possible and hold my breath when entering. Wouldn't recommend unless you're on a super tight budget and don't mind being a bit uncomfortable.
Sort of close to the subway, nice staff. Sheets were not cleaned at all and had dirt/sweat stains all over the sheets, shower was moldy, outlets in walls did not work properly, tv did not work, card reader barely worked, bad area of London, and very thin walls.
The young trainee receptionist, Anna, was polite, helpful and charming. She was quick to change our room for one with a king size bed and she assisted in the move. The restaurant staff could not have been more attentive over breakfast The duvet was like a biscuit, flat and far from cosy. I presume this form of duvet is to facilitate laundering but efforts to up-grade should be made.
I thiought that the breakfast buffet and staff were very good
We went to our grandaughters christening in eNFIELD
Location was excellent for what we wanted 11am checkout Is a bit early.
The food was excellent. Plenty of car parking space. Quite large bedrooms. In the room the headboard was fixed to the wall, but the bed was not fixed to the headboard, so the bed moved about quite easily, which was not very good if you are a restless sleeper as the pillows kept dropping between the bed and the wall. The bed was not very comfortable, the mattress being quite hard.
Staff were very friendly and nice There was no kettle, coffee/tea in room. And thought was a bit mean to be charge £5 extra just to deliver couple of tooth brush to my room.
proximity to M25 and the rooms the bar food is a little lacking
Reception, Noise by outside party
Little slep with a bouncy castle under our window being used by children until 1 am in the morning
clean and comfortable but rooms on the small side
Location vs Cost = Perfect
The room was very nice just the bedspread was a little dirty and was a surprise considering the quality and room furnishings (very nice). In the area of the building where I stayed, I could hear the occupants in the other rooms I.E. if they opened a door, used a power outlet. This is my only complaint. On the upside, Savoro does not have so many rooms so when it was time to sleep it was fine. Otherwise, it was very nice and a very high standard compared to most hotels in London I.E. if you are not paying â£300/night.
The restaurant was excellent and the room was stylish and suitable for a nights stay. The bathroom could have been warmer.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was good. The rooms were noisy, with thin walls. The main problem was with banging doors in the small and early hours. The sprung doors need to have silencing pads as they close. We did mention this to the staff.
Good food at good prices Parking
easy access rooms to small not worth £40 per night
Clean and easy to access The internet di not work. It did notshow it was within range even though it was.
The location was good for our visit to relatives in the area. I was also able to walk to the Underground station for trips to central London. The room was a bit small.
Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff friendly and helpful Hotel need air conditioning hotel room very warm
Generally very good
New small hotel, quiet neighbourhood, good connection to London (train, underground). Our double room was really very small, but equipped well.
Really nice, sparkling clean room with quite luxurious fittings - I was pleasantly surprised at the budget price. Location is pretty convenient given the speed of trains from Liverpool Street to Ilford. Walls were quite thin and was woken up early by conversations at reception, and the staff's children running around. Breakfast was toast and cereal - more than adequate at budget prices but a bit unexciting.
The lady on reception who seemed to do everything in the hotel was amazing. She was kind, helpful and lovely. The bathroom toilet and shower
Excellent service...friendly and experience and helpful staff Room was a bit too small...feels restricted to move about
The hotel is in a great location, and I found the staff very friendly and obliging. Breakfast was sufficient and the garden very relaxing. Bedroom carpets are very dirty (room 14 and 15) and detract from the decor of the rooms.
Friendliness of staff; their attempts to meet requests/ deal with problems with facilities within the limitations of those faclilities. Ensuite and heating systems need upgrading.
Clean. helpful staff .
A clean and well organised small family hotel My single room was small and had a shower room acroos the landing that was very small - luckily i am not a fat person or I would never have got into the shower.
Very clean and modern. The one thing wrong was the room we were put in was too noisy, it was at the front and the road was too busy.
very basic, Economy pack sliced bread - not nice. Poor parking facilities, not at all as shown on the web.
I liked the location of Oak Lodge very much because it had eating places and so on just a five minuite walk away. You do not have to have a car to go there, they are buses. And fantastic if you can get free buses. I thought the 'breakfast' could have been better. Cereals, toast and fruit is not very good for a hotel. I call it a guest house because that is what it is.
I liked the fact that it was understated. It was just what we needed. It was clean and neat. I would recommend it to others for a place to stay for a short London break. Not a lot.
Great value and breakfast included in the rate.No aircon but windows opened OK. No parking available in hotel grounds - forced to park in public car park 500 metres away. Because windows opened for air the traffic noise was quite audible as room face the main road!
The hotel was situated close to the venue we required. The hotel room was tired, dull and not all together clean. The room was booked as a double but we recieved a room with two single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets instead of a double.
Friendly, very clean & comfortable and being able to park was a bonus, extremely good value for money. Breakfast was greasy & cold, and our table was not cleaned from the previous people, we went down for breakfast at 9.30am, there were no other clean tables available.
it was good for the money. i didn't like the tiny bed
The staff was friendly; I had a parking space; the immediate access to the tube (Central Line) and main roads for a quick get-away; the use of the WLAN; the English Breakfast; the room was clean; the bed was comfortable; the easy access from London-Stansted airport. Overall, I had a really nice stay and would come back anytime. That the bed rolled away when leaning against the wall to watch TV (just a minor thing that can easily be fixed by a stopper).
Very conveniently situated, close to tube trains, buses, shops and restaurants. Greatest boon for me was having a car park. Stayed on a very warm Saturday night, and was unable to keep the windows open because of the noise from the cocktail bar and night club.
Easy access to the tube Car park, could be cleaner, third floor room and no lift, no jaccuzzi
Het is een eenvoudig hotel. Onze kamers waren schoon, bedden waren goed. Prijs was in goede verhouding met kamers
the room was clean, there was no hassle at reception everythig was in place. the room smelled a bit musty it needed airing especially as they knew guests were coming in.
The location is good, very near to the tube station. Rooms are satisfactory according to the price. The staff on the reception was too rude and asked for full payment at arrival, although this was never mentioned earlier. We stayed there on the weekend and the music of the local pub was too annoying and we were not able to sleep
Clean and well maintained. Room was big. The price I paid was too expansive for such a basic hotel. Ate in the restaurant first night and food was awful. Avoided the restaurant after that. Flat screen TV would have been better. Aircondition system in the room not working but replacement heater was available.
Outstanding staff...welcoming, good humoured. Being alone, it would have been nice to watch the major football matches in the bar. As it was, there were something like 15-20 people in the bar all wanting to do the same thing who all left to visit a nearby pub where the football was on. Inconvenient for the (mostly male) guests especially since the sports channels were not available in the rooms. It also seems to be a totally lost profit opportunity for the hotel losing out on highly profitable alcohol sales.
Clean and modern hotel with efficient staff. Not much to look at (but we expected that) and "does what it says on the tin" but soulless (do not expect a personal touch).
Helpulness of staff. Nearby & convenient pub/dining.
The heating did not work. We did not complain as we were hardly in the room.It was cold when we returned each night.
convenient location, friendly staff none
Premier hotels are the same throughout the country very good generally. Front desk staff were very good. Hotel room excellent. Breakfast food really let the hotel down. There were items missing on the full breakfast menu, The coffee ran dry, Then the milk, There were no tea spoons out.Went for a table and they were either not cleaned or not layed up. I know it is a busy hotel but if we were 1st time users of the hotel We would not be impressed with the breakfast set up.
Clean environment. Can seem rather sterile and unfriendly.
Conveniant for place I have to be
The friendly reception staff
Location is good, on a busy street but close to train station. Breakfast included was a good thing, but unacceptable that it was served in lobby while the breakfast room was rented out for seminars. The staff is awful and very unprofessional. They ran it like B&B, not a hotel. Impossible to speak to management, as she is so busy and no one new when she will be around. No phone number nor callback.
the staff were very good, helpful and caring. no air conditioning, but a fan was supplied when asked for.
The reception staff were very professional and friendly. Bed too small in disabled room. My daughter's room on the other hand was very comfortable with a big bed.
It was chosen for convenience, near to our son's student digs, plus right next to a tube station. Premier Inns usually do "what they say on the tin". The rooms are far too hot. No air con and if the windows are opened the traffic noise is very loud.
Hotel was only 30 mins from liverpool st station. It was good after spending all day in central london to get away to Redbridge. beefeater next door was ideal. We have stayed in over ten different hiltons and i can assure you the breakfast was on a par with them. Our room was immaculate. Bathroom spotless. We paid £260 for 3 nights for 2 adults and 3 children. Really good value. The girl who served us at breakfast was really polite and courteous as were all staff. A really good hotel for a city visit. Check - in not until 2pm which I suppose is understandable but some hotels do start check - ins from 12 noon.
Excellent service and staff. Very attentive and friendly staff whom could not be faulted. Clean, comfortable rooms and suitable for a family of four and was excellent for the tube which was directly opposite the hotel which was a real bonus but it did take one change and about 30 mins to get to any tourist site in London which is just about acceptable I believe. Good value for money Room could be heated but cooling meant leaving a window open but not too noisy. The Inn was a bit out of London if that is where you want to visit but provided you can put up with a tube journey of 30 mins was not really an issue.
Polite , easy parking & convenient
Tube Station adjacent to hotel Not all staff gave the same level of customer service
Extremely polite attentive and friendly staff.
The friendliness of the staff both at reception and at breakfast. No
The staff were very polite and courteous Yes I am 64 and there was no lift and i had a very full case and a smaller one and no lift, blessedly enough although the receptionist was a petite girl she did help me up the stairs 3 sets of them.My room was near a very busy road and both sets of sliding windows would not get even close to closing to shut out the noise which was all through the night. So thank goodness I was only booked for 1 night.Besides those 2 negatives the rest was very good.
Free parking, Sheets on one bed dirty, only one pillow per bed supplied, Woken by manager at 0720 hrs to tell me that I hadn't paid when I had paid total bill on arrival, Hotel did not return key deposit at check-out. very noisy staff cleaning rooms and changing beds.
The room was clean, all staff were pleasant and the breakfast were great. The male receptionist helped me back my car into security parking at rear A little noisy early in the morning before breakfast. I was on the ground floor and on the main corridor leading to breakfast area.
no！！！ I have a hotel reservation by credit card，They deducted from my bank card had room rate, but also has charged me cash.
Nothing this is a hotel to avoid Shared bathroom, old and sparse decoration. Room was like an old bedsit. Not en-suite as promised. Staff unwilling to change room. Room really not good enough for paying guests.
The staff were catious and helpful, tidy room and good breakfast. Check out time was advertised as 12noon but on arival was adviced it was 11am. This was inconvinient and had to be harried out by 11.30am. I recommend that the advertised check out time be changed to reflect what is expected.
It is a nightmare, the heating is not working, smell keep comming from all over, you cant turn off the ex fans as there is no switch Strange type of smell, not enough heating, unsecure .. fraud hotel.... giving wrong information to customers
Clean and breakfast good. No hot water sometimes at night!
I liked everything at the hotel.
Booking, Frendly Reception and staff, clean. Room had damp patches therefore making the room damp. Now personal touches were added to the room very bare and bland. No wall sockect for the side lamp. Wall lamp was to high had to stand on the bed to reach it. Breakfast room to small although lovely as was the service. I'd stay here again, only if I was unable to find somewhere else.
The helpfulness of the staff the hard eggs at breakfast
Good heating. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Polite staff. Cleanliness.Good car park. Evidence of gradual refurbishment. Hot water. Light and well carpeted corridors. Poor lighting in the bedroom as two of the three lights - including the bedside light - were broken. No BBC1 on TV. No chair in bedroom.
Pleasant and helpful staff Infestation of bedbugs
the breakfast no chairs / seats in room; thin duvets; small sheets, no matress cover; portable TV with internal ariel - poor reception
Correct staff, although the hotel highly needs some refurbishment the room was clean. Bed was OK. The furniture is a mixture of very old (and damaged) items of different styles.
45 minutes from center, but very good connections, bus and then tube (gants hill) central line. Staff and breakfast are OK, rooms are quiet old but value for money
although bar was closed for referbishment staff were all more than helpful
fantastic breakfast its an old hotell who needs to be painted and other things. they have started but is far from finished.
Availability of family room
Location good, parking good, breakfast good We were locked out when we returned at 11:30pm (even though we were told that reception was manned 24 hours) and staff did not respond to the intercomm bell. After quarter of an hour another customer finally let us in (he was also looking for a member of staff) by opening a fire-door - which set off an alarm.
in need of modinisation.
the tranquility and proximity to high street and above to reaching the excel centre in time. saturday and sunday breakfast is servered earlier and the dinning room doors are locked very early in my opinion. I dont think it is necessary to lock the entrance of the dinning room. On wednesday when i was checking out, i went to deposit my case at the dinnig room according to instructions i got from the front desk but to my greatest astonishment i found a male member of staff smoking in the dinning room by the breakfast counter. I think it against policy.
Smoking allowed in room No bathroom. The toilet was in a closet, and the bathtub in the bedroom. The breakfast was very poor. You could feel the springs through the bed.
helpful reception staff
Too many to mention!! Review has already been left on trip advisor that touches on some of the low points!
Value for money it is not luxurious but it is clean friendly with excellent breakfast. Water pressure seems vaiable over 2 stays
Nice friendly staff with spacious room. Excellent Halal Breakfast and free wifi+parking was a bonus.Close to Ilford Town centre and shops. Rooms could do woth some renovation.
Breakfast Far from undeground, too cold in the room, absence of tableware
With the price you get this hotel room for, everything it offers is a steal deal. The hotel is located in a calm area but not far from the train station or the center of Ilford. It is very clean and the room service is done everyday. Excellent Wifi and that is free!! I will definetly stay here again if I come to Ilford and ofcourse if the room rate remains within the current range. [Note :The hotel may accomodate the guests in different buildings around the main building and you need to go to the main building for the reception or for breakfast which is like taking 20-30 steps from your room!! No big deal though!!] Nothing
The rooms were comfortable and clean and we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel could be a little bit tricky to get back to using public transport. It was easy to get into the centre but not as easy to get back.
it was a pleasant stay. the staff was friendly yet professional. breakfast was excellant. would definately reccomend to friends.
the breakfast the beds were uncomfy, the bathroom had several facilities which were broke, there was nightclub located directly outside our window which was playing loud music through the night
Staff were helpful Limited parking
Staff was very kind, hotel is in good location, breakfast is very basic, overall very good value for money. There were bedbugs in my bed, was bitten quite severely on the whole body. However, staff was helpful and we changed to an other (larger) room.
The decor, the worn furniture, only 1 towel given for a double room with two people!
large room, clean shower and toilets, television with dvd a bit far from the tube station
Full breakfast and friendly staff
close to station. staff fine. liked the bathroom. seemed clean at first but after shower realised there were lipstick marks on the neatly folded hand towel and grubby marks on the bath towel - eugh!! Room just about warm enough - heating valve closed and adjuster knobs had been removed. V windy night so windows and door rattling. Whilst a noin smoking hotel, i did feel there was still smoke in the fabric of the furnishings etc. for the money i think it was fine overall - apart from the towels. didnt check the bed!
Closee to Train station
Nothing The fact that at 3:30 in the morning, someone was trying to open the room to our door. When myself and my friend went to see what was going on, there was a naked man outside our door. Banging and trying to open our door carried on throughout the night. Staff didn't really seem that bothered about this.
Excellent value for money, wanted a budget hotel, flexible friendly staff, great breakfast chef and with the added bonus it was only a minutes walk to Ilford Station and 15 minutes into the city from there. Spa and jacuzzi was not available to use then again it is an economy stay not a honeymoon destination!
Free carpark Rundown
Nothing. The room was not clean. Bed was not comfortable. There was a nice in the early morning. Room looked very different from the pictures in the internet. Over all I did not like anything there.
the room was filthy and was never serviced at all in my 3 day stay. The English breakfast used a bacon substitute. I booked a double room but when they realisedv that i was alone i was given a room with a 3/4 size bed and only one seat. It lacks the basics such as glasses in the bathroom or soap. The toilet pot was black and disgusting.
Good location and close to station. Poor customer service. Room £360/8nights, Cash only without receipt! Taxman, hello!!! Very poor room. Poor water pressure in shower. Wash basin in room and not in bathroom and not working properly. No tv remote. Very old tv with only 2 channels working. No daily cleaning service. No in-room coffee/tea service. Old broken metallic blinds over the windows. No curtains. No table for storage. Tiny wardrobe. Dirty old carpets. Aa - 4diamonds How is this possible????? Rac - 3 diamonds How is this possible?????
Shower did not work well
None The Hotel was shabby . The shower for which I paid extra for ensuite did not work and the water was cold. The room was too close to the reception area. The male Night Porter had a female friend? Who talked to for quite a few hours after midnight. The breakfast was not pleasant - a staff member was walking around barefoot and I had to help another Foreign guest as the morning staff did not seem to understand English.
Free parking Breakfast
The Price is very attractive for the ficilities provide Just the fact that its a bit out of the way from central london.
Very good service by staff who were always available to assist. Dinner hall was in very good state and the English breakfast was excellent. Far from city of London - requires use of a car. Ilford rail station is nearby, but need to take a train to get to nearest tube station.
For the price it was comfortable and clean. Lot of noise in the middle of the night with people talking, door banging and music playing. I was awoken about 3.30am and because of the noise thought about leaving. However it quietened down about an hour later.
If we had a child, this would be a great little budget hotel. Hotel had tons of child safety measures, a crib and tons of strollers, which would be quite nice if we had a baby. Bed was quite comfy and location was right next to the train. Employees were decent. I loved that the room had a mini fridge and microwave! Overall acceptable and what was expected for the price. There was no wifi which sucked. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and not stocked with toilet paper. The lights were weird in the handicap bathroom and the main shower was just a storage room turned into a shower... It was quite weird. I didn't really like how they had rules of no drinking or swearing in the hotel, and it was weird that we had to return the room key everytime we left the hotel. Weird rules.
Staff are friendly and helpful; however, facilties are really old & poor! Facilities, furniture because they are old and broken, dirt and stinks on the chair.
Location to business Shower Head broken
Clean and friendly single room, friendly and helping staff, breakfast
Very friendly staff. Nice location. Clean, cheap room. Hall bathroom use was a pain.
I didn't enjoy anything from my stay at this hotel. The beds were rock- hard. I took a shower, then I had to take another shower because the first shower made me feel so filthy, then I just licked myself clean. The toilet had to be kickstarted. Breakfast was always full, and when we finally got it, all our food was burnt or even forgotten. Everything in the room was filthy. The wasn't enough room in the breakfast room, the staff/maids refused to speak English, my friends got much better rooms for the same amount of money in the same hotel. They advertised free internet, which was not available. There was noise every night. Honestly; everything was disgusting about this place. We will never, ever, come here again.
location, aviailibillity of public transport very old furniture; creaking beds and floor; teared curtains
Cheap basic accommodation. A decent cooked breakfast. Free car park. Clean. Bathroom needed some maintenance, but at least it was ensuite in this room. Almost impossible to get a smile from the serving staff at breakfast :-(
Okay low standard of the rooms (furniture, bath-room tends going mouldy...)
The level of cleanliness was good wireless internet not working, no bacon on tme breakfast menu
Very clean rooms and wondefully helpful and polite staff. Nothing.
Friendly welcome, great price. Everything was provided as expected, with some nice touches. The previous occupant of the room had smoked, against the landlady's wishes (she apologised for this though). The first night was quiet, but on the second night there was a gathering of people in the foyer below my room, which was very noisy (lots of laughing and shouting between 1 and 2pm), which was annoying and kept me awake.
The hotel is run by family, very nice and helpful couple, room was very much clean and got every thing,it was noice free hotel.I Would recommand everyone coz its value for money There was no bad thing I notice in my stay
-We felt like HOME,no issues at all. Nothing.
Welcoming staff clean and tidy
The warmness of the welcome, the price of the room and the cleanliness. Nothing
Room is well equipped, people were friendly.
Very good place, friendly staff and very clean. Close to the Ilford station and central ilford. Also is very easy to get to central london. For £40 this was a bargain. Would recommend to all. Nothing bad to say.
Very clean, puts some higher priced hotels to shame Limited breakfast choice
There was fresh juice and milk in the fridge. It made a lovely change from having long life milk pots and not having to go to a vending machine for a drink in the middle of the night. No complaints
Hospitality, 20 mins to central London, shops, restaurants nearby, DVD-player, warm even if outside is 0 degrees (which was quite usual in November). Traffic might be a bit complicated on wekends - you need more time -(eg. scheduled reconstructon works on the railway when I was there), but it is well organised with buses, the single room is quite small, without a cupboard
Very close to train station but in quiet area. Nice & cozy rooms. Typical full English breakfast included. Very good value for price. Strange way to turn on showers - button outside of the bathroom.
Quite comfortable ,the host is kind and friendly, and the breakfast is very nice.
The breakfast is so good, this hostel is very comfortable. no, everything is good!
the cozy room and kindness of owners
For the amount I was paying I expected the worst having stayed in a similar price hotel earlier in the week. However it proved very good value for money and was comfortable, friendly, warm and quiet. the breakfast was a pleasant bonus.Short walk to train station for 15 minute journey to central London.
