it was a nice place and location the electricity went out, someone was hollering down the hall from us, the toilet would not fill up with water after being flushed I would remove the tank lid to jiggle some parts to make it work we didnt want to call maintenance not to be embarrassed to call maintenance after using the rest room
To be honest I was very disappointed in this stay. I was a returning guest and had high expectations which were not met. However, upon check out I met Peter and he did everything right to rectify the situation. His level of customer service won me as a returning guest.
the staff was very helpfully, the coffee and pj sandwiches was a nice addition. the roof top pool was nice. it was also heated. the hot tub wasn't working
My friends and I were very satisfied with our entire stay. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms were very comfortable. The coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator are three amenities that I think are often taken for granted! The PB&J bar is not only charming, but a useful and welcome snack when coming in late and not wanting to spend time or money stopping somewhere else for a snack. The rooftop pool and hot tub had amazing views. Though I didn't get to use it, the fitness center on the top floor also looked well equipped and taken care of. The staff was very professional, enthusiastic, and talented. From our hotel, we were able to walk to the French quarter in 10 minutes or less, had instant access to Canal St and the St Charles streetcar, and we were also able to easily walk to the two stadiums. Would definitely look to book here first upon returning to New Orleans. While the free wifi worked fast and was very much appreciated, on mobile devices you needed to continuously log back into it any time you turned your screen off.
Friendly staff Convenient location PB&J sandwiches from 10-11pm In need of renovation Dirty carpet Dirty bed sheets Did not provide bottled water as stated on sight
The Pool It Was Sweet rooftop and had great view and look very rich Pay up for a room King is not that big also plumbing sounds bad like an old hotel will keep you up if light sleeper.
It's very antique and beautiful Our room was not clean
Amazing classic decor. Great location just far enough away from the noise of Bourbon street. Lacking some of the amenities necessary for a longer stay. No mini-fridge, etc. Parking is overpriced.
Friendly staff, easy check in and close enough to walk to everything! Small bathroom but not really a big deal
Location & staff Housekeeper didn't do a good job 1. She forgot to leave a bath mat in the bathroom for the first day cleaning 2. She didn't take away the used towels and leave enough clean towels in the room for the second day. 3. The minibar was not on and the hotel did not want to turn on,either.
Monteleone is marvelous and I will come again. My only criticisms are 1. It is not fully handicap accessible 2. The bathrooms are nice but small and dated, no walk in showers 3. Bedrooms are small by modern standards (limited to 2 to a room comfortably. Restaurant, entertainment, bars, service par excellence, cleanliness, doormen extraordinarily helpful( (we needed extra assistance and always received what we needed and more)
The location is right in the heart of the French Quarter just a block off Bourbon Street and on the classier Royal Street. The décor is beautiful. The rooms are small but nicely decorated. The drapes were incredible. The cafe are the hotel was very good for breakfast with beignets as good, if not better than Cafe du Monde without the crowds. The walls were fairly thin so you could hear your neighbors. Also, nearly got high from the marijuana fumes seeing through the air system.
This hotel has the perfect location for a tourist travel in New Orleans, one street away from Bourbon street and a few blocks from Jackson square. The Hotel has also the best house keeping I ever had in the USA. They really think of everything. Unfortunately breakfast was not included in the price although this could easily be foreseen.
Location. We had a bad problem with people smoking on our floor and it was a non-smoking hotel. I complained several times but the staff did nothing except spray air freshener. I came home with a sinus infection from all the second-hand smoke.
Excellent room service. The carousel bar was fun. It's located in a prime location. N/A
Great location in heart of French quarter! Friendly staff, super clean and awesome rooftop pool with bar! Hotel restless awesome and we received voucher for complimentary bottle of wine! Sent my clothes out for laundry and was told it would be a one day turn around. After 3 days still no laundry and I had to call twice to finally get it back. Also our last night we needed to actually get some sleep as we had a 630am flight home. Unfortunately the guests next to us were so loud we didn't get more than an hour of sleep. I called front desk twice and finally after security made their second attempt to get these rude guests to quite down the lowered their voices slightly.
The hotel location was fantastic walk out the door to all the restaurants, night life etc., Bathroom very clean. Great Bar down stairs. The Old world charm of this Hotel is really nice.
essence festival n/a
The hotel and staff are beautiful and amazing. But when we got to our room it was fairly warm. We called down to the concierge and asked that someone come look into the issue. We left for the afternoon and when we returned there was a note sarying someone had come to fix the problem. Two additional requests later and it was still around 80 in our room. Staff didn't even call to see if we were satisfied (after 3 requests). Difficult to sleep and not enjoyable. See above.
The pool was a welcoming retreat after a day of touring the city. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. I would have liked to be a part of the carousel bar, never any seating available. The view was not to my liking, and the bathrooms were small.
Top notch hotel and facilities. The front desk clerk could have been nicer, but overall it was a great stay.
I liked its atmosphere of a first class european hotel, the very good taste shown in the decoration of the room as well as the elegance of the reception area. During our stay the used soap and shampoo were not replaced when the roorm was made,
Great rooms that are well designed for accommodating multiple family members
The hotel is right around the corner from Bourbon St, which made it very convenient.
We found a roach in our room the first day. When we told the woman at the front desk, she was nice and apologetic, but said it happens when there's rain. I understand, having dealt with roach in my apartment, but asked her to have the room sprayed, and wondered why that wasn't the default answer. The water stank. It smelled like putrid pond water, like it came from the river or Lake Ponchartrain. It was hard water too, so rinsing in the sink or shower is a long chore that never seems possible to finish. I believe this is what made the tub slimy and slippery. It didn't appear dirty, but it was impossible to stand in the shower without a wash cloth underfoot. The hotel is located on the 2nd-6th floors in the Ritz Carlton. The Ritz locks their doors in the evening, but the key readers don't allow Courtyard guests in, so you need to go around the block to get inside. Either way, it's a maze of elevators, since you always need to take at least 2 elevators to get to your room. The Ritz spa smells like an over-chlorinated YMCA pool, and permeates the entire lower floor. Coupled with the arctic air conditioning, coming in from the outside is a violent jolt with a mild burning sensation in the nose. And it's $25/person/day for the privilege of immersing yourself in the water.
Nice suite style room, good staff, location They were performing some work to the facade of the hotel. At 9:00 am they were literally right outside our room pounding with hammers. I looked out the window and a worker on scaffolding was right outside of our window. Had my girlfriend been in a state of disrobe, he would have been able to tell were all of her freckles are. 9:00am....on a Saturday....in New Orleans....in the Quarter. I had been out late drinking the night before, so you can imagine a 9:00 wake up call with a hammer was most unexpected....and un-welcome. No mention of the construction was made during our check in.
Great staff and location
We were right in the middle of everything. All we had to do was walk out of the hotel and we were right there. The rooms were awesome. Way more than I was expecting. The staff was great. We will definitely have them on the top of our list when we return. Nothing
Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything in French Quarter was a short walk including Jackson Square. Would stay here again.
My friends and I ended up here last minute when our original plans to stay somewhere else didn't pan out. We were a little stressed when we got there given that we were far from home in California and had to find this place last minute in an unknown city. But from the valet to the front desk, the staff was super friendly and helpful and made it so easy for us. Our room was clean and well decorated. In fact, the whole hotel is very nice and a great value for your money. On top of that, it's in the perfect location in the French quarter. if I ever find myself in New Orleans again, I'll definitely be staying here. There was only one thing and very minor. Being that it is the French quarter and so close to bourbon street, my friends and I had a late night. We knew we were going to want to sleep in and take our time getting ready in the morning, so I called the front desk to see about a late check-out. They said It was perfectly fine we just had to put the do not disturb sign on the door and be out by 1. At 10:45, housekeeping came knocking on the door. We yelled no thank you and then we could hear her talking to another employee about how we weren't supposed to be there. Then at 12:30, they came back again as we were preparing to leave. It wasn't a huge deal, but I think maybe the late check-out policy should be better communicated with the cleaning staff.
The door separating the bedroom from the living room area. The bathroom was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable
The staff was awesome, every person we encountered at the front desk and valet was in a great mood and extremely helpful.
The location was great: close enough to Bourbon and Canal Streets so I was near the action, but removed enough so that noise was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had very good water pressure. Housekeeping heads for the hills around 2 or so, so if your room is made by then you are out of luck.
Friendly staff, very close to Bourbon Street. No locks on bedroom and bathroom doors
Convience to the downtown area and central location to restaurants and entertainment. Parking was very easy and convient. Coffee pot in room was not cleaned.
Old fashion style was cool Rooms smelt "old" and muggy, check-in was extremely late (4 PM) and apparently "ungarunteed" (some people waited 2 hours), parking was $42 a night (extremely unreasonabled to other hotels), no bell hop even though rooms were split between streets
the hotel was close to everything, and it was nice. the heater didnt work and theres 2 buildings and you had to go to the main building for everything.
A very hip, cool vibe, in a great location and at an even better price point. The rooms were extremely loud at night, and the staff was not helpful in solving the problem.
Very stylish and confortable rooms. The menu at the kitchen tried to be a bit too artisinal. There was one waitress who seemed pretty bogged down.
convience of location the TV stations, the bed, and the AC
The Staff was great very helpful
Good quality decor good location. Very rude staff on front desk.
My friend and I were staying here for a conference (at a nearby hotel). It was a beautiful hotel very chic and stylish. It was well placed to walk to the French Quarter and many other points of interest. Staff was very kind, hospitable and helpful, especially Michael. We would definitely stay there again! No cold water from the tap in our room.
don't like add on cost. Telephone ect.
Employees were generally happy and gladly answered any questions. Hotel is groovy and quaint, as are the rooms.
Parking lot behind the hotel was very convenient. Comfortable rooms. Closet to everything but still off the major streets Staff wasn't knowledgable when asked what highlights a touris couple should see. Wasn't friendly during check in or check out
Location was great and felt very safe. Room were the right size and they were lovely and moved us up to a top floor because it was my daughter's first trip to NOLA Pipes broke the last night and our room had wet carpet; they moved us once I reported it
Not as expected for a JW
I liked the room and where the hotel was located I paid too much and was constantly dealing with hassles like slow elevators, stupid rules, staff that lied about a room being available. We paid $310 for a room and $42 to park and couldn't get free Wifi, really? The Valets were rude and they basically forced me to use baggage handlers.
The bell hops were nice and that's about all I can say nice about the place. When we got there they couldn't find our reservation. They put us in a tiny room. (We paid extra for a corner executive king.) After 4 hours the room was still at 80 degrees. We were moved to a corner executive king (what we should had have from the beginning.) We called down to the front desk for a bottle opener waited 2 hours they never brought it up. The pool was dirty and disgusting. They claim its a 4 star hotel but we will never stay here again. We should have gone to the double tree.
The location is very convenient -- on Canal right between the French Quarter and the CBD. The rooms and facilities are very comfortable and well appointed. There was nothing lacking. What really separates this hotel, though, is the staff. From the front desk people, to the people on the door, to housekeeping, to the valets, everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful. A very positive attitude permeates this hotel. I certainly would stay again. The only negative aspects were that the hotel's front (on Canal) is undergoing a major renovation which makes it hard to find the hotel from Canal and, sort of related to this, the actual front desk/check in area is not on Canal at all. It's on Common. I understand the hotel wanting a Canal address, but it does make it confusing to find the check-in area.
Wonderful service, comfortable and clean. Great location for us. Would love to stay there again. No cold water from faucet
Nice and clean. Close to the main attraction. Noise when trying to sleep. Air vents would slam down making a loud noise and jolted me awake all night. Out of items more than once when ordering room service. Cold pool with no hot tub.
Location & parking Quality, condition & service not up to par with reputation and cost. Not family oriented. Very old rooms. Certainly not a luxury property.
Ii liked Royal Sonesta's central location, sense of history, in house restaurants and jazz club. The beds, linen and towels were luxurious. The hotel is showing some signs of age. Light to right of bed did not work. All the elevator buttons would not light up. Small things.
I drove a hour away to get there only to be told I was never booked when I received a confirmation number . I'll never book with this site again !!!!!!! I drove a hour away to get there only to be told I was never booked when I received a confirmation number . I'll never book with this site again !!!!!!!
Well located for easy walk to all attractions on the French Quarter. Elegant, well maintained LARGE roomsnothing
location, value and decor breakfast was overpriced
Decor, hotel pool , downstairs bar Elevators but they're putting new ones in
The salt water pool was nice. I really wanted a balcony room and they didn't even asked me if I want one. The water didn't even get hot shower
Great location. Close to restaurants and nightlife. Fabulous Staff. Try Restaurant R'evolution, it was a fabulous experience. Currently the hotel is renovating. Our room was near the construction area, so it made the visit less than optimal and not our normal Sonesta experience. I look forward to a future visit once the renovations are completed.
Great location! Down in the heart of French Quarter. Kayak didn't inform me we needed to pay for Valet parking, but a great stay.
Have stayed at this location numerous times but have never had such a small cramped room. AC could not keep up wife was hot and uncomfortable both nights. Called maintenance first day of stay and he said it was working ok. Could not enter the hotel without being accosted by losers trying to get you to come into their strip clubs which surround the hotel.
I enjoyed the location, clean rooms, pool, staff, bed, nature sounds from radio, and smell. Noisy at night due to burbon st, but that was expected. Nature sounds come in handy.
Parking $45 too high. Noise and construction would have pick other hotel if known.
Clean, modern amenities. Comfortable beds. Lots of young adults stayed during the weekend and they were up and loud at all hours if the night. Hanging out in the hallways and keeping us up.
staff was great, decor was very nice, great bed and linens... the shower/tub combo wasn't bad, but it would be really nice if it were an upgraded glass door shower. not a complaint... but that's something i do look for in a hotel where i pay this much. thanks!
Lovely hotel, very pretty. Restaurant is great as well. Nothing
We stay here everytime we come to New Orleans. We love the location and the service has yet to disappoint. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
Great location and staff. The valet parking crew was very professional and courteous. Olga at the bar was a pleasure to talk too. I liked the modern decor as well. I would recommend this hotel most of the time. Walls are thin--I could hear people talking on both sides of my room. I imagine it has something to do with being an old building. Fortunately it didn't last long, however, if you are there for any kind of festival where there will be a lot of late night partying (it's near Bourbon street so this may happen quite a bit), I'd recommend being one of them instead and not assuming a good night sleep.
Location just a block from all the action in the French Quarter was perfect. Room was very small for the price. No pool or spa facilities.
Room was clean and comfortable. Cozy bed with very thick pillows. Nothing
Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Parking was 3 blocks away
Room was nice and clean and updated, staff was very friendly There's no pool at this hotel like kayak claims
It was close to french quarter, the ac was amazing, it was close to canal st without being right on it. the hotel was nice looking and the little workout room had good equipment in it but limited. The elevator broke and we had to walk up 8 flights of stairs, the staff was kinda rude when they over changed us for parking, the maid didn't empty our trash and we had to bring it down ourselves bc the food started smelling, the entrance to the hotel is on a road where at night there are many homeless and shady people it's kind of scary, so you end up walking around the longer way to avoid it, there is only beverage vending in the workout room, the being and curtains had stains on them.
Very friendly staff helpful A bar in the lobby would be great but not essential.
Location. The hotel is proximity to the all important thing to do, visit and eat. Nothing much.
The staff were friendly Very misleading. We booked our room and received an email 2 days later saying we would have to have an economy room, they said it just meant it was smaller. They failed to mention it has no windows and was not much bigger than my walk in closet at home. Instead of the queen bed she told me it had it was actually a double bed. To close the bathroom door you had to step to the side of the toilet and to get in bed you had to climb in from the end of the bed on one side because it was nearly touching the wall.
GREAT LOCATION - Wow. It was close to everything we wanted, everything we didn't know we wanted, but still managed to be quiet at night. Housekeeping was very attentive and helpful, as were the concierges and lobby staff. I'll be coming back!
Great location, close to bourbon Small room with no window!
The staff was awesome! Donna and Travis rock! Really liked the atmosphere, location and rooms. We'll definitely stay there again!
Location was awesome! Close to the french quarter without being right in the middle of it. It's lighted all around so walking even at 4am didn't feel too dangerous. Parking is 35 a night but it's New Orleans so that's expected and they charge you an amenity fee of 12 a night for a wifi that doesn't work very well. Make sure to ask for an exterior room because I got put in a room without any windows and that was a bummer.
Love the architecture.
Location, it was central Room was small and outdated Facilities non existent Restaurant was meh
Decent location, clean, nice bathrooms. Of the three prepaid rooms our group booked far in advance, only two were available and there was no roll-away bed available for the room in which three people were staying. One couple in our group had to take a taxi across town after about 20-30 minutes of searching for an open room. One person in the room sans roll-away bed had to sleep on the floor. The following day, another room was made available, however, no one from the hotel informed the group in the room without the roll-away that they needed to more their belongings until after everyone was out and about for the day. The hotel called us throughout the day, interrupting our plans. The manager was very rude and didn't seem to understand that the hotel was interfering with plans made months in advance. Eventually, we were bothered so constantly that some members of the group returned to resolve the situation in person. Overall a very bad experience. I have traveled quite a bit, and my experience at this hotel is the worst that comes to mind.
I booked this hotel in April 2014 for my trip in November 2014... i confirmed two days before my trip and everything was all set. We arrived and the lady behind the desk said there was a letter that was left for her that stated we needed to be sent to another hotel. No reason given and she wouldn't let us see the letter...ok... so we went to the other hotel which was conveniently located right in the middle of the French quarters... upon arrival we were told that they had no offiliation with the whitney nor do they know why we were sent there...after telling us we had to pay triple what the Whitney charged I explained that was not far to us...i was willing to pay the same rate as the Whitney but I was certainly not paying triple! One of the managers came out and accommodated us with a free night! Therefore I recommend taking your business to the Bourbon Orleans hotel!
Clean and comfortable room that was a great value for the money.
Very helpfull people, very clean, and perfect room All is perfect
We just expected a little better than what we got. Expected the sweet to be a little sweeter
The architecture, design, choice of furnishings and keeping the existing bank for a backdrop is a nice touch. The room (610) was quite nice and comfortable. The staff were all very professional but Jo Ann in the bar was wonderful. The only improvement possible would be the in-hotel restaurant. To be quite frank, the quality was not so good and the portions small when compared to every other place we dined in and around the French Quarter of equal or lesser price. Your meal pricing (we first tried breakfast and then stopped-) was also at the top of the cost range we experienced in and outside the French Quarter. Had the quality and quantity been better we would have happily spent more time in your restaurant. In our opinion, correct this and you'll have the perfect hotel.
The staff was absolutely amazing. The location wasn't bad. Nothing special, but not bad. The rooms were TINY. The furniture in the rooms were pretty chewed up. There really weren't any extra amenities. It's expensive for what you get. For about $10 more, you can get a bigger room at a hotel that is closer to the French Quarter. Yeah, the staff was great, but I don't pay extra for helpful staff.
Location, Value, Staff. We walked to the Riverwalk Outlets, Dragos, Harrahs Casino, Aquarium. We got a cab ride to the French Quarter and Bourbon St. The hotel was very clean and the suite was very spacious with 2 TV's. I loved the rich history of the building. It was originally a bank and still has the vault, teller service windows, etc on the lobby. VERY noisy. I could hear a lot of hallway noise. Also, it may have just been the night we stayed (Thursday) but at 4:30 AM the city came down Poydras to empty the dumpsters (very loud) and it woke the toddler (sigh). That can possibly be chalked up to wrong place, wrong time but just be aware if you're staying on a Thursday night. Parking was too expensive but to be fair that's ALL hotels in the area. The hotel was once a bank so there are very few (if any) extras...no roomservice, no spa, etc.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
Near the famous Bourbon St. Dirty room and absence of small fridges in the room
great position and good rate The hotel room could be more clean but it is not bad.
I have stayed at the St. Louis before, and it is my personal choice for location, atmosphere, and value in the French Quarter.
The staff was very accomodating in all respects. The location was also very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. This is a perfect location if you are going to Mardi Gras. The bar was only open until 9 pm which wasn't convenient, but there was a bar at the corner of Bienville and Burbon which was very close.
location and friendliness of staff
Location Electrical Disrepair, worn furniture, bad service in restaurant, mechanical problem, all night noise
It was nice having the proximity of the hotel to multiple attractions.
The hotel itself is really nice, especially the patio. The location of the hotel is also excellent The rooms were not really clean. The first room we had was so noisy that we could not sleep. We were then given another room which was quiet.
Great location, helpful staff, clean room, updated bathroom, great courtyards.
The staff was the best from start to finish!! I have to give props to house keeping for the amazing job they do, Ms Julie moves through the hotel like greased lightning!! Ms Janet, our concierges, made it possible for us to see as much as possible during our stay and is very knowledgeable about the area and the best tours. Our doormen, King Saloman, Sir Larry and Sir Lawrance , as my husband liked to call them, were friendly, fun and very helpful. From front to back, the staff was amazing. Rooms are clean, comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, so many choices. Can you tell we loved our stay!!??
Access to Bourbon Street and remainder of French Quarter There is a usage fee and utility fee that has to be paid at the end which really seem like charges that should either be incorporated in to the price of the room or dropped. I read about them online and was prepared. However, other parties checking out at the same time were very suprised. Also, parked for an overnight rate at a garage one block away for less than their garage rate.
Our room 1236 was a great room for us! The facilities were great and the staff was lovely. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant and the Wednesday jazz players. We would definitely return the next time we are in town!
We are frequent visitors of the Ritz Carltons and this was the worst facility I've ever been to and service was poor. I was paying $600 a night and felt like I was staying at a Sheraton or worst.
Very elegant and friendly hotel.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially John, the Valet. The room was great, and the location of the hotel was too. We will be back! Nothing, except we didn't get to stay longer
Very nice hotel! We had a beautiful corner room with a good amount of space and two comfortable double beds. Breakfast was basic, but great, and the staff was very nice. Clean and a great location! I only have one complaint -- I was frustrated that our towels were changed everyday, even if we hung them up. But otherwise, everything was great!
The staff was very friendly. Valet parking was fast and very nice. They held our luggage after checkout so we could go to the Saints game which was fantastic. Price we paid for a single King Size bed was sort of outrageous
Breakfast was fine, close to the sites Charged me $150 for deposit and still haven't gotten it back.
Location. Bed was comfortable. Was able to get early check in. air conditioner sounded like a jet Engine Taking off. Room lighting was terrible. Towels inconveniently placed in bathroom right above the only shelf/counter space.
I like the fact that the hotel staff especially the Front Desk Manager Tashena Johnson helped me out when my credit card was compromised. She did the best she could to make my stay as comfortable as it should have been. The location was great. Not to far from everything attended. I didn't like the way my reservation was not in the system when I arrived and I didn't like the 1:00am phone call asking for authorization...
Location was perfect! A short walk to everything, but not so close that there was street noise. I also enjoyed the exposed brick walls, and my corner/wrap-around room was very spacious and full of natural light!! A/C worked great, and the number of towels provided was more than sufficient. Pillows were flat and needed more stuffing in them. The sheets were a bit rough/scratchy.
Everyone on the staff was so friendly and sincere about it. They were always will yo help us figure out things to do and where to go. This will not b our last trip to this great hotel! And the ladies who did breakfast were great! Nothing! It was a great week. It is just a well worn place.
Malcolm worked at the front. He was extremely sweet and helpful, giving great recommendations on where to go and what to do. He was always very happy and looked like he loved his job, which most people dont look like.
I like the fact that it was close to where I wanted to go easy to get around town. The only problem is that someone did call in the middle of the night trying to poach my credit card but they told me about that upon my arival. They've been having problems with someone messing with their customers.
Free hot breakfast, rooms were clean, on main streets so no walking on sketchy back roads late at night, bed was comfortable and pillows weren't those expensive fluffy pillows that are good for nothing, water pressure was great, shower was nice, staff was friendly, a/c worked great. No cons...
Great location and staff was wonderful! They picked us out a room on the 8th floor with a beautiful view of Canal Street and the Mississippi River. Will book again on our next trip back to New Orleans.
The helped helped secure my motorcycle in a safe place during my stay. It meant a lot to me!
simply superb, nice visual, great staff, very comfortable, nearby the points of interest. ...and a great summer deal for the rooms nothing...but the parking was a bit awkward, even with the valet. but not terrible
Good price. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Not many amenities
Ms. Kenya at the front desk made our trip very wonderful with her service and smile. We like to thank her for her hospitality.
Location was great. Walking distance from the quarter. Quite street. Parking was quite easy.
Wonderful historic hotel. We chose a small interior room as we never planned to spend much time in the room. Without windows though, it was easy to oversleep so I recommend setting an alarm. The bed was comfortable. The room had everything we needed: iron, coffee, refrigerator, toiletries and blow dryer. Leftovers in the fridge from previous guest. No bar in the hotel - we knew that going in but we found ourselves saying that it would have been nice.
I'd say the biggest con for me personally was the lack of a fitness room, staff could have been a bit more welcoming, I didn't find the customer service to be the best--but the room was nice enough and the location was great-overall an okay experience.
Location was perfect and extremely easy to get to anything and everything. The non-windowed closet... oops... room was tucked away... next to the stairs exit. Extremely noisy. The room was dirty, the toilet stopped up, the bathroom had mold in the shower and mildew on the wall (inside and out of the shower). We only had lukewarm water the entire visit. Our visits to NOLA have us in our rooms very little durring our stays... still want a clean room with hot water. Things will have to change a lot for me to ever stay there again. With all this negativity spoken I must say the staff was nice and very helpful.
Great location! Great staff! Great little boutique hotel. Beds are wonderful! Wish there was a fridge in our room, but otherwise I highly recommend this fantastic quiet little gem! ,Great location! Friendly staff. Clean room. Great location.
The room is too small and has no window.
This is a small old hotel that is very charming and in a great location. Close to the French Quarter and Riverwalk. Tiny rooms. My room took 5 - 10 minutes to get hot water running.
The location kept us a block or two away from the late night crazy of the French Quarter while still close enough that we could walk to nearly anything. It was also 1 block from the cable cars so we could go farther afield if we wanted to. The restaurant downstairs was really popular with locals and there was always a line. Not a real negative, because it was tasty, just a 'heads up!'
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The front door opens to the back door or a nearby hotel's trash collection site.
