room is newly renovated and well equipped (with hair dryer). staff is very helpful
locality and staff
Great location for first time tourist to the Lourdes Grotto
The location to the Lourdes Sanctuary was excellent. Close to the gates. Many pilgramage groups and tour buses but we didn't feel it was crowded. The front desk was very helpful and attentive in answering questions and helping us with a security box. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are large and updated. The linens were a little worn and there were no shampoos or soaps in the bathrooms so it was a good thing we brought some. All in all it was a good stay for the short two nights. The restaurant was fair. The breakfast was not worth the 8Euro that was charged. The breakfast consisted of coffee from a push button machine, one type of cheese, one type of cold cut, dry breads, canned fruit salad and milk, tea, juice. One part of the dining room was set up for groups and the other end of the room for others. The service differed on each side. The group reservation side received cloth napkins and servers to attend them. On the side I was on with my family we had to get our napkins at the service table and they were only paper and no one attended to us at all.
Very friendly and helpful staff. So close to the Grotto.
The place was pretty, the rooms were clean and the hotel food was exceptional! Everything was just as expected!
Proximity to the Basilica of Immaculate Conception/Grotto and shopping. Lack of amenities and hotel scent.
The hotel is just 10 minutes walk to the Grotto.
The location to Lourdes, very central. The people who worked there were nice. rooms were extremely out of date, not value for money! I think if i was in the newer part of the hotel it would have been ok. Cheap covers on the bed, dated wallpaper, orange carpet on the walls. Clean, but definitely 30 years since last changed. The cleaners knocked at 7.30am! I stayed in Lourdes last year in Mariale and this was only 53 euro a night for a brand new studio with kitchen
Very central Breakfast could be better, with some cooked hot food.
The room was serviced regularly and the reception staff were helpful. The continental breakfast is rather basic. They only serve one croissant and a hard bread roll. Some tables were given biscuits some were not. When I asked one of the staff if I could have my croissant toasted because it was such a cold morning I was told that they do not do that, no oven or toaster.
I loved its contemporary design and deco. From the hotel lobby right down to the room. I requested for a room on the highest floor and with a great view and they gave us a great room with a truly beautiful view of the mountains...even from the bathroom! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and wonderful to chat with.
Good Location The breakfast was very poor
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, all spoke english, and they went out out their way to help us.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect. Near to everything.
It's location. Some of the staff very helpful
staff were very friendly and helpful. the view of the city from the hotel is beautiful. hotel has outdoor pool and areas to relax (indoor and outdoor), which oversee the city not much sound proofing, which made it very noisy. the plumbing is very noisy and kept us awake
the location near the sanctuary ,shop and resto The receptionist would change my reserved selection room and I must pay more if I want to take my reserved room.
The receptionist she greeted us with a smile and very curtious and friendly. Very helpful. Even when we told her we were checking out earlier than previous planned. Too loud in the evening and too hot. My mother was not very comfortable for the price she was paying.
The personal service was fantastic. Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and to make us feel welcome.
Only the location I like I chose to stay because they are interested in from this dihotel 4 stars and of course hoping to get 4 star service and facilities, it turns out after living there for three nights I was disappointed especially for the bathroom ammenities there's only soap and shampoo there was no shower cap or something any facilities of four star hotel also in the bedroom, may need to be reconsidered to install a four-star hotel with facilities and services in accordance with the standard 4 star hotel
Location was only plus No way this is a four star hotel, old, run down, no mini bar or fridge that worked
Staff was very friendly and accomodating Room was ok considering Lourdes is really not known for their hotels.. Hallway was kinda creepy.
The service provided by all the staff. Rooms are too small but it is fine.
solitude, proximity to the sanctuary and shops. beddings(sheets & duvee)could be enhanced for greater comfort.
It was like going back in time to a very gracious and elegant time. I really enjoyed the decor , the space, the gardens, I especially loved th breakfast room and the breakfast
Proximity to Lourdes Domain It was very noisy late at night with pilgrims in bar till 3am. My mother & I couldn't sleep.
Location was excellent It was all ok except Internet available only on the hall
The location, definitely. The grotto is literally 3 minutes away. Comfortable, if sparsely furnished, rooms.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean and comfortable
Spacious comfortable room, beautiful view from balcony, very grand reception area, spotlessly clean, helpful reception staff who spoke perfect english.
fabulous view of the river and suroundings entrance & exit of parking
Our rooms did not have suitable walk in showers as stated and then we were moved to a two level room with a difficult stair access, where the shower on the upper level had only cold water on two of the mornings. Also on the Sunday evening our table in the restaurant although booked in advance was not available and we had to sit by the side of the through-way which was very noisy and the manager did move out table after our first course but we were not served the food we ordered after 45 minutes and had to leave before desert as the restaurant so so full and having problems dealing with the numbers.
Nothing, even the breakfast ,which we had to pay in advance was very poor . Far to expensive for what you get plus the wrong info from Booking.com
We enjoyed the closeness to the Lourdes Sanctuary. There were two very loud parties on two nights of our stay. We were on the 4th floor and were kept awake. When we asked for the music to be turned down they replied no until I went downstairs and yelled at them. Also, the pool was shut down for 2 days which is why we chose the hotel.
Good location No parking, room cleaning service too early- 8 am.
Location is very good, room is super small. The breakfast is very limited choices.
the close distance from the sanctuary the hotel has too many noices... and too many people from contingents that make me feel that they were the owner of the hotel... people was not friendly
Nothing, place needs a refurbisment. Internet pictures lie,as we were lone travellers I beleieve that is why we ended up in the annex and not the main hotel. It was a fight each morning to get breakfast as we were not part of a group and they didn't want to know us.The doors to the breakfast room were slammed closed just before 9 am finish time to stop us going in for breakfast. Never will stay in a vinuales hotel again. Value for money, see what you get in a Hi Express hotel for less.
Staff is very helping and kind. I reached the hotel at 23.45hrs and they were very considerate.
The Main staff spoke english n helpful. Did not provide full comprehensive option regarding transport to and from train station.
The whole refurbishing of the hotel was excellent. The staff of the dining room were equally excellent We stayed at the hotel 8 nights. We asked for a double bed and our request was flatly refused. Very disapointed
The food and its location
There was nothing I really liked about this hotel. It had cramped rooms and the shower cubicle is almost impossible to use. You cannot bend over to wash you feet. There are inadequate facilities to put your clothes . The marble table is useless and should be replaced with a drawer unit. The size of the rooms are small and are really only suitable for the use of one person. Website indicates that the hotel has a shuttle bus to and from the Railway Station and Airport It does not
The Hotel was in fact close to the Sanctuary as it states. It was also nice to have a restaurant at the hotel. The food was good but a little over-priced. The hotel was extremely noisy. The rooms were not sound proof at all. The bathroom was also very tiny which would have been fine but it did not have a real door. The beds were also old.
Excellant location, 5 minute walk to Sancturies. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room very dated. No facilities in room (minibar, kettle etc) although this seems standard in Europe.
Helpful staff, clean room For environmental considerations I asked that towels not be replaced daily. However, this was probably misunderstood by the cleaning staff given my accent. I would have appreciated tea/coffee-making facilities. For a private guest the number of young school children's parties deterred me from using the restaurant at breakfast. No air-conditioning, though given the temperature this was not a problem.
Hotel is very near to the Sanctuary
The location of this hotel is the best fiture. The rooms are a little dated.I had breakfast and it had a very good choice.
City centre location with easy access to Pyrenees Limited car parking on site, approximately 8 cars. Only alternative is a payable car park opposite
Very quaint, clean and staff were very accommodating and excellent to deal with. Would recommend anyone to stay here and we would go back. Our room was a little smaller than we expected; however, our stay was very enjoyable.
staff very helpful and friendly central position
proximity to sites of interest. genral good standard and good value for money. would stay there again
the room faced the front of the hotel so we had a great view. we were booked in to a handicap room which upset us , so they said we would have to wait to see if there was a cancellation later in the day. There was so we then got a standard room. We could not sign up for breakfast/dinner each day, cause it was booked. they said we should have signed up at the time we booked The toilet seat would not stay up, which I reported first day, but it was never fixed. the elevators were very slow, not enough room each time for all to enter.
Hotel staff very freindly, the rooms were very clean. there was some confusion over breakfast, as to were we was sitting due to them having two different places to eat, but it all worked out in the end
The location The rooms are very small and our bed very hard
because my knees were a problem, i found its proximity to the sanctuary very convenient. the claustrophobic toilet (enclosed fr the bath) and the dark room (you cannot open the curtains because you will be seen from the outside). the walls should be painted a light color and the carpet should be changed to wood (even simulated only)
the staff were all extremely friendly and very helpfu
A nice friendly hotel conveniently located
Close to the church, Good rate, Helpful staff, Not enough light in the room, too dark to change.
Its proximity to the Shrine and the helpfulness of the hotel staff. The dustbins were emptied at 6 00am and, being in the heart of the town the noise meant that it was impossible to sleep through it.
friendly staff,very central
Close to the event. The carpet and drapery needs replacing. There was no towels or shampoo in the bathroom. We could not use shower because it smelled of dead rat (maybe the drain or sewer?) Good thing the toilet was separate. Our complain was just ignored by hotel staff.
Checking in was very fast and easy. The staff were courteous and helpful. And especially honest too -- they picked up a medallion on the floor and returned it on top of the table so I can see it!! Thank you very much. And the location is very good. It was smelly and the room doesnt look and smell clean -- especially the bathroom. It has a strong musty smell. Please improve on this.
the hotel was in a perfect location, the staff was very helpful and made my stay very comfortable, i would defently recommend this hotel
I only stayed one night and thought it was very basic considering the price of the room
Very friendly staff, nice room service I didnt find the price great for value
The receptionist was not friendly. She was more stressed than us who just arrived from a long travel. There is definitely no sense of "customer service".
great location, clean rooms separate rooms for bathroom and toilet, toilet has no sink
Very close to the Sanctuary The hotel is rated as a 3 star but I do not believe it to be so. The shower stall was so tiny that we had a difficult time getting my 6' 2", 14 year son fit into it. The days we were in Lourdes were not too hot, therefore, it was ok that there was no air conditioning in the rooms. However, it had been hotter, we probably would not have been able to sleep with 3 people in the room.
Lovely balcony looking out onto the street. Got terrible service from a waiter in Restaurant he was extremely rude and unhelpful complained to the Receptionist at the time. Would stop us going back we were out to enjoy the night and he spoiled our evening in the Restaurant, Never came across rudeness like it. This Hotel was lovely and one person put us off going back.
not a lot Toilet too small, drinks too expensive rooms very basic
We stayed at this hotel during a short visit to Lourdes. It was really well situated for the grotto being only 300 yards approximate from the grotto entrance. We had booked 2 rooms & were initially shown rooms by the kitchen/laundry area which we declined. We were then given 2 lovely rooms on the 2nd floor with little juliet balconies. The rooms were spotlessly clean especially the bathrooms. I would recommend room only as lots of nearby restaurants and cafes serving decent well priced food. This hotel is also especially good for anyone with disabilities and they even have wheelchairs for use by guests. One of our party became unwell during the stay and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and caring.
Its proximity to all the major attractions and town centre The room was somewhat dark, facing out onto a narrow courtyard, and the bread (which was the main food at breakfast) although an excellent type, was obviously prepared and left out at the start of breakfast hours of 5am, and therefore stale by 9am when we came to eat it.
The hotel is very close to the sanctuary. That was the greatest help. We could spend the morning at the sanctuary, and come to the room and rest a while before we go again to spend the evening at the sanctaury.
Clean and Tidy, friendly Hotel staff. Very near to Lourdes. Would liked to have had a kettle and cups available to make some coffee whilst resting in our room.
The staff helpuful and very smart! The breakfast is terribile (old bread, small selection of food, terrbile coffee) and incredibly expansive (9 euro) for the quality!
most of the staff were friendly and helpful i was not happy staying in this hotel especially the location of my room very very dark no window i could not stay for five minutes in the room during the day to take a rest because of the darkness and also the price compare to other hotels is very expensive i have seen others friend hotel during that time it was bright and clean and the price was resonable.
It was our pilgrimage to Lourdes Grotto and the Santuaries. We were pleased to find the loaction very convenient to our needs. We would have preferred a room with the tea & coffee making facilities!
Staff very friendly. Good breakfast. Room very clean . Very good location
Nice hotel, nice lunch and dinner. Breakfast : good croisant but the other bread is too hard for us old people. I stay four days, 3 days from the organizer and 1 day by myself The location from the sanctuary is going up and take a lot of energy for us old people.
Very well located for the Grotto, nice welcome, staff was willing to help and give information, good parking facilities. The carpet in one of our rooms was fairly dirty. Breakfast is only served between 7 and 9 but that's ok if you come to Lourdes for the pilgrimage as not many people feel like partying late into the night anyway.
