Very poor condition. Door hardware loose and in disrepair. Heavy smell of cleaning chemicals. Very worn ot building.
It was disgusting.
Decent room and wifi Staff guy was very rude and then waved at my girlfriend with extremely offensive comment to me after I booked my room with credit card he waited to wave at my girlfriend after we parked never will I go back or suggest anyone to go back for that reason
They were terrible people, only guy I liked worked the over night, owner was rude; hated the experience
Hallway smelled really bad
Close to the north way Musty and dated
A bit rundown
Good location Good price Room service didn't bang on my door at 6am. Wifi in the part of the hotel I was in was pretty much no functional. Patio door on the ground floor had seen some better days. Room was clean. No sign of bedbugs or roaches, but did spot a house centipede near the above mentioned patio door.
The price was good, the staff was friendly and attentive. It's very old and not too appealing. They are going through construction too, so it may look better once that is completed. When we were there the second day we lost cable connection. Not a huge deal, but kind of stinks. We also had an old fashion TV, don't expect any upgrades or updates with this date hotel.
The continental breakfast was OK. However, could have had blueberries and bananas to put on the waffles. Clerks never smiled. They appeared to not like their job. They just went through the motions. Bathroom was not cleaned well. Long hair and cheetos on floor. Soap scum on counter top. Tub drain clogged. Bathroom sink drain slow.
My room was a complete dump. Ripped wallpaper, bathroom towel rack broken, Chrome kleenex holder fell off the wall when I touched it. My friend said his room was completely different, and was nice.
You can't beat the location. The staff is always very accommodating and the rooms are always clean, but the beds and pillows are not particularly comfortable. But for the price, you make some allowances.
Great rate for a clean room No frills
Good for a brief stay - just your basic drive in motel. Nothing outstanding, but no real shortcomings either. Sort of a weird floor plan (lots of short stair cases), but is only a problem if you have mobility issues.
Nothing The service I booked a room for three days on my second day they cut the phone off I couldn't make local calls. The service was garbage I give them a rating of zero
rooms where nice... staff especial Bar tender was really nice food okay and breakfast nothing special
Got a band aide from the front desk Dirty, can't explain the feeling of pulling down bedding and having who knows what on the sheets. ..thankful my wife looked, very bad smell to room. Had to change rooms after getting in late and carrying up luggage 2 flight of stairs. ..should had just slept in car
No elevator and security doors work intermittently.
Close to NYS Thruway Lots of steps
The room was clean and did not smell. It was spacious and even had a fridge/microwave combo. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. The air conditioner worked just fine and we enjoyed our relaxing evening in after a long day's drive and anticipating another one the next day. The ice machine didn't work but I can understand how that happens. However this facility has both smoking and non-smoking rooms. The hallways, lobby, and breakfast area smell disgustingly like a stale ashtray. I was terrified walking to our room that it was going to smell like that because there was no way we'd be staying if it did. Luckily the room smelling nothing like the hallway and we stayed but they really need to do something about it. I couldn't even stay to eat where there were a few tables because it was smelled so heavily of stale cigarettes.
The gentleman who checked us in, was a total sweetheart. He was helpful, understanding, and very professional while still holding a warm tone. He helped my family and I know where each other were, and he was genuinely sweet. Thank you so much!
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and accomodating. The location was good for my needs. The facility was very large but we were still able to park near our room. We had no hot water and had to contact the front desk and were told the hot water heater had to be reset. the room smelled sweaty like the sheets hadn't been cleaned I was slighty intimidated about sleeping in them.
The location was good. It was quiet No TV for 4 days out of 6, no refrigerator like other rooms had, twice we had no hot water, continental breakfast sucked, toast, cereal, and frozen waffles and at 9 AM it was gone so heaven forbid you slept in a bit.
The staff was great and very helpful. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The room accommodations were sorely lacking. The room was damp and had a very musty smell. The curtains and blanket on the bed had holes in it. The mirror fell off the wall within the first hour of us getting into the hotel room. We originally booked a 2-night stay and stayed only 1 night because we were too tired to change hotels after we checked in late in the day. The hotel is in dire need of a complete renovation because the facility is quite old.
Was in a first floor room near the reception desk. A lot of banging late at night that could have been guests in floor above. Confusion about whether or not there is an airport shuttle.
FRINDLY STAFF QUICK CHECK IN DIRTY SMELLY ROOM VERY HARD BED AC DID NOT SEEM TO COOL WELL EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN FIFTIES OUTSIDE ?
The room smelled like a dog. The bathroom floor was sticky.
Cleanliness, helpfulness and very nice staff, our room was very comfortable, loved the indoor pool and hot tub, close to the parkway and Newburgh airport, location is great not far from restaurants, fast food and gas stations. The price was JUST RIGHT! I didn't like how the food area was only open during certain times.
Really enjoyed it. Very clean, comfortable bed. I would stay again
Customer service was great - comped us on beer, very friendly, very helpful (everyone) Fresh cute lobby decor Great bed and bedding, lots of space in room (typical of Starwood hotels) Nothing!
Location and price Small room, no fridge, lot of noise.
The overall hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. A good location for a night or two stay. Also the breakfast was actually quite good. The bed, it was not comfortable and sunk down to much.
THE BED!!!! How the room was poorly designed - door wise/stopper and the tub and it's water
Nice place to stay for the night. I'd stay here again if I am taking the train to the city. A bit pricey, but nice.
The best part of the stay was the help. Dwight & Kadeem at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay great!! The breakfast was mediocre; we went to the diner down the road. Also rooms are only for sleeping extremely small.
The people were so friendly and engaging. I felt safe as a lone traveler. Would be healthier if they had yogurt and/or eggs for protein for Breakfast. Ran out of energy early.
Location to West Point! Great diner just below hotel. Nice staff. Room had everything we needed. Room was on second floor with window view behind hotel. Heard some road noise from I-87 but not a big deal. (The train noise at the Thayer is much worse.) Slept great. Its not a luxury hotel -- but you're not paying luxury prices either.
There were TWO ESPN 2 channels and no ESPN channel. I missed second half of a game I really wanted to watch and the front desk gave me a completely wrong channel when I asked. Also, provide a CURRENT TV channel lineup in your in room book. This completely ruined what may have been a perfectly good stay. Can't read this. I suggest you use larger font.
Nice staff. Prompt shuttle service from airport.
I was attending a wedding and needed a hotel to stay. I arrived and found it to have a great view of a lake, right in front of the hotel. Upon entering the hotel, it looks new and modern, our rooms were well kept, large and beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay and recommend to others. Extended stay was only until 12PM. I was attending a wedding and got back to the hotel at 5AM, hard to get only a few hours of sleep to drive back, I was hoping for an hour more of sleep :D
The facility was quiet, affordable and clean The television in the room was way too small
price & location TV connection didn't work, no WiFi, outdated rooms, over-charged above booking.com price
not much everything. it is a very nasty place and we will never return
I liked that theres a pool out side it was good for the kids and breakfast.potential offer of the sausage or bacon with your eggs Not enough chairs around the pool this should be a microwave in the room so you don't have to go back and forth the lobby
Number: Message: We are at the Hudson Valley Hotel which we booked thru u for 2 nights. Last night they had a wedding here and the music and vibrations lasted till midnight if the hotel new this why put us in room (107) which was directly across on the ground level where our room was. I just went to front desk to complain and she said what did u want us to do it was an $8000 wedding, I said u should have advised us and pout us in a room farther away. To add insult to injury we got up 1 hour earlier because the clock was wrong, the hair dryer was broken no TV channel guilders pen paper this is a No Frills hotel. When I asked what they could do to take something off the bill she said that's what u get for booking thru Expedia. I am thinking of never using u again if this is what happens not booking directly
Location, location, location Made coffee on Thursday- the same left over coffee was still in the pot on Sunday! Electrical outlets were in such poor condition cords would not stay in them- definite fire hazard. Walls were dirty, wall paper falling off. It was just very run down.
I admit I was a little nervous with the past reviws I had read about this location. It was the nearest hotel to the location. But on arrival all fears were but aside with the friendly clerks' welcome and the quiet room to rest our heads for the night. The room was clean with what looked like a new bathroom and new beds; as we saw them removing the old ones. They had a small breakfast which was enough to get you moving and a computer in the lobby to check email. The computer was a little slow but was worth not luging my laptop from home.I will definately book here for the next get together in the fall.
checking out no one at front desk sketching people sitting on steps drinking beer and smoking something
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Horrible It's not clean.
Do yourself a favor and do not stay here! The place is dirty. The first room they checked me into had leaky plumbing, hair in the bed, and a brown dried material on the walls. After complaining they did provide me with a clean room. Luckily I had business away from property and was only there to sleep. No place to spend a vacation. I paid the online travel agency $* a night and they were renting to locals for $* a night. SCAM
location the free breakfast sucked.,the water to make tea was lukewarm at best...
This is hands-down the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The room was filthy; the carpet damp and dank; the beds very squishy/lumpy (resulting in a horrible night's sleep). It was very noisy all night. The bathroom was dirty and barely functional. It is very far off the highway, not at all convenient. Like the rooms, the lobby is filthy and dank.
The fact that it had a vacancy when none others did. The lack of amenities including knowledgeable staff.
The price Filthy
We got two different sets of directions, neither of which were very good, there are no mattresses, just 3 inch pads on the box springs, and the 'service' was extremely rude. When I entered the lobby the clerk barely looked up from her magazine - when I said, 'Hello?' she replied 'I know I'll be right there!' The hotel was practically empty that night but we were placed in a room neighbored by a crying baby, a blaring television, and loud voices. As we were driving all the next day and needed whatever rest we could get, I went back to the lobby to see if we could get another room. The clerk right in front of me called the room next to ours and told them we had complained! This got me pretty hot, and I told her she could either move us into another room or refund our money. She gave me a long dirty look and slapped a new room key on the counter. The next morning the room acroos the hall from ours had its door propprd open and the alarm blaring. Coincidence? I paid $86 for that crap!
when i got to this hotel they had no room booked for me the gent at the counter didnt even try to help us ended up going down the road to another hotel and now im still waiting to get my money back its been almost 2 weeks since i was there and even though i did not stay there they still have not refunded my money i would like to get my refund and not have to even think about it anymore it does nothing but aggravate me each time i do
Help on getting onto WiFi. Condition of the room.
Ok for overnight stay. Room lighting inadequate. Curtains not correctly aligned. Shower stall made for a skinny midget. Breakfast is available however, this is a transitional housing hotel. Breakfast was eaten up before 6:30 a.m. Poor staffing ratio. Inadequate breakfast supplies and utensils.Older TV console.Spouse bitten by either bedbugs or mosquitos in room.
It was close to where I needed to be. They have bed bugs. I was bitten on BOTH arms. The staff don't speak English well. the 'continental breakfast' was finished in less than 20 mins from the time it was suppose to be set out, nothing was left. would not stay there again.
It was next to a beautiful park on the Hudson River. A towel and floor mat were wet and dirty looking. The carpet was gross - melted spot and a very large stain. The shower dripped so much I had to put a towel under it as it was so noisy.
Room is terrible. Bad smell. Super dirty. Lots of bugs. Wall is as thin as a paper.
The price was nice It was dirty and run down it said no smoking room but smelled of smoke as soon as I opened the door.
