The friendliness of the staff Nothing
Staff was friendly, took care of my requests for taxis immediately, provided information on the downtown area for a walk. Staff was professional and available.
Friendly staff, good restaurant and nice rooms.
excellent staff and central but peaceful location no issues
We booked for 2, checked in for 2, but room only had a blanket big enough for one and 1 towel. Upon checkout, they said we have to ask for more than one person. TV is locked so you can't play video via HDMI. I can't imagine why this hotel won an award as it is the worst for the money in Denmark.
The staff was very helpfull, and there was a good atmosphere. It was a bit cold in the restaurant.
The room was very comfortable and spacious. Good parking facilities although it was a bit expensive .Well situated very close to the city centre. Parking was a bit expensive.
Helpful staff and good location. The hotel rooms are also very quiet. A bit of a queue at check out. Breakfast expensive.
Staff were extremely friendly, couldn't do enough to help. Location was excellent, easy walking to the town. Bed the most comfortable I have ever slept in
Close distance to city centre/music hall, Nice breakfast I like it, Free internet without time limitation. Too expensive prices :-)
The location of the hotel is very good, good parking facilities There should be a room for kids with video games and other toys
The breakfasts were wonderful and the furnishings throughout very nice.
The room The breakfast is not buffet. Everyday the same food.
i had a really good time in this hotel. i love their flim posters decoration in the bedroom and the wines in the reception room. staff are warm and lovely, even the cleaner maiden is a beauty.
Well maintained, clean facilities. Polite, efficient staff. Breakfast was excellent. Location is ideal for visiting Aarhus city centre. Would stay here again. French styling is a little too basic for my taste, but the style was well implemented and very clean.
The hotel has a great ambience and is situated in th eheart of Aarhus The heating in the annex rooms is a little marginal in winter
Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable well presented room, with good facilities. Overall very relaxing and pleasant. Nothing
The little "extra" at breakfast: Freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit. The location: Very central. The size of the hotel: Small.
Good location. Shower curtain very small resulting in a wet bathroom.
Beautiful relaxing decor and cleanliness. Everything No bad points
Everything was so nice!Starting from the courtyard to the cozy rooms...the wine was excellent and also the breakfast was very good. The staff was so nice and friendly at us!We will reccomend this hotel and we will come back for sure!
The rooms are bright and delicately furnished and the Hästen beds very comfortable. The breakfast is also very good The rooms facing the railway line, are a bit noisy
Good breakfast, helpful staff. Great beds. Price - too expensive for what you get.
the bed I missed a restaurant and bar
It was close to the railway station and thus easy to get to the airport, centrally situated close to restaurants and close to the business we were attending
Nice desinged quiet hotel. Has it own parking. Nothing super super but very good money for value.
Breakfast was good, mostly organic food. The hotel is located at a busy intersection. It's very noisy even at night, and on a warm day you don't want to close the window since there is no air condition in the room.
Recognised immediately on arrival.High room on 8th floor away from traffic noise. Spectacular views. No
The location, close to city centre was good. So, we could walk to city centre. Internet/WiFi access included in room rate was highly appreciated, especially by my to elder boys. Pure breakfast (e.g. no fruits) in a almost dark room. Seams they want to safe money for electricity. Many tables not cleaned from previous guests due to insufficient staff. The elevator looks like a service elevator. Actually when I check in I walked back to the front desk and asked where the guests elevators are. In addition at breakfast time it's difficult to get an elevator staying at 7th floor (half up). Therefore we walked to breakfast at ground floor. If I had written the customer feedbacks on your web side more carefully I would have picked it up.
location, facilities (tea/coffee/drinks available). Ensuite very badly designed; it was both inconvenient and unsafe. At the least they should put in a non-slip floor coating.
Very convenient for ferry to Denmark Great amount of street noise during night.
Very helpful desk staff excellent view from room a second pillow would have been nice.
Excellent central location with stunning view over harbour from balcony. Balcony also a useful refuge for smokers - a good solution, suggested by check-in clerk, in a non-smoking hotel. Free wi-fi worked as advertised in the room. Free ho drinks day and night from vending machine in in lobby. Good breakfast buffet on top floor. Free parking for guests. Everything's dear in Denmark, but this was good value for money.
Breakfast was OK and nice and friendly staff working here Dirty Room / Bathroom & shower really need a renovation
Nice restaurant although the menu choice was rather limited A little noisy due to location
The view in the breakfast room Service staff trying to cleanup when you are in the breakfast room. Slow elevators. Small bathroom. No closed clauset. No safe in the room.
breakfast at the room the restaurant was not like the standard of the rest of the hotel
Outstanding rooms and location. Problems with their television system.
The location, the room & the hotel's decorum were excellent and worth the cost. The quality of coffee for breakfast (espresso and capuccino 'made to order' and charged separately) was awful. The best hotel in Aarhus should be able to fix that easily, no?
Truly elegant and comfortable with interesting original artwork throughout.
Breakfast Two single beds pushed together to make the double I booked
The very welcoming staff and the fabulous decor throughout, positively regal but also comfortable and interesting. Our room was beautiful, very comfortable and furnished with antiques or very good copies. We appreciated the nice range of hot drinks and a TV with more than CNN in English so we could have a very relaxing evening in, after we had eaten out. This was aided by the arm chairs and foot rests.! The position of the hotel is excellent, close to shops, museums and the canal side restaurants. We subsequently stayed for 2 nights in the local Radisson which was modern but also comfortable and has to be given points for the variety in its breakfast over that supplied by the Royal which was fine but certainly not as memorable as its other superb features
Location, style and service Toilet seat bolts must be tightened. It was not corrected during our stay.
The gent on reception was fabulous. The hotel was spotless. The suite was excellant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
excelent,but not for hadicap
VEry comfortable hotel. Combines traditional and modern style very well
The excellent organic breakfast, organic products in bathroom.
the room was adorable, service was charming, breakfast was very good
The location of this hotel is superb. Easy-accessed to the city center by feet. Many beautiful and interesting boutiques on the same street where the hotel located. Breakast is also good, tasty and healthy. Our room is rather small and dark.
The breakfast - a wonderful range of muesli, fruit and breads Very pleasant and helpful staff No lift. Small rooms
cosy atmosphere bed too soft
Cosy feeling No elevator to get to 3rd floor room. Very steep and narrow staircase.
Quiet location, good breakfast buffet selection Service at breakfast was slow and the dining area quite crowded. The crockery was chipped and cups were stained and had handles missing. Chipped crockery is not very hygeinic.
It is very centrally located, close to the central station and the main tourist attractions, as well as restaurants and bars. The rooms are very small. Even the beds were quite small for someone of average height and build like me. The bathroom is extraordinarily small, with the shower water flooding the entire bathroom floor. No mini-bar or other accessories except for a pouch of shampoo and a small soap bar.
Very well sitiuated, everything worked as I expected, but in addition the staff were very helpful, looking up travel information on the internet for me.
I liked the central location .The cleanliness of the rooms. The quietness of the hotel Ididnt like that there was no mirrors in the room only bathroom
Good situation and nice staff Rooms are somewhat small and beds too.
easy to use and clean! noise from other rooms at night wasn't so great
When checking in I was not advised that the room allocated was over the street alongside the canal and was very noisy at night. If that had been I would have selected one overlooking the court yard
we found the staff to be helpful, we speak only english and they could speak english.
When you enter the lobby of the hotel it is very modern. We only noticed that the reason the hotel is called the Cab Inn because the rooms are exactly like the Cab-in in a boat. Very central which was perfect for us. Underneath was a lovely resturaunt overlooking the river banks, very nice. The breakfast was great, so fresh and worth every penny. It was continental. The beds were a small but extremly comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights and we were young visiting friends. However if we stayed for longer the room was not very spacious. We only usd it for sleeping and that wasnt much.
The location being near the restaurants and shops The size of the room--I asked for a "complimentary once only" upgrade to try the bigger rooms for future business trips--none was forth coming. Now none the wiser.
Very clean, recently refurbished in my judgment, superb shower room, comfortable beds. Very good buffet breakfast No coffee facilities in the room, no room service. The restaurant was closed while we stayed, a temporary measure i expect.
Free parking at the other side of the road.
well positioned for visiting the city the room was very small, as well as the bed. breackfast quite "simple"..., parking not included,
Good sense of service of the staffs of the hotel front.Well trained and knowledgeable. Easy morning-call system instructed in English may be necessary.
The bed and the cover - it was really great! I would have liked a bathtub
Location location location and very friendly staff Beds nice but rolled away from each other at night no truly a double bed since it was two single next to each other
Excellent friendly staff
Excellent customer service by the receptions staff. Very friendly, very helpful and clearly seeking to represent the hotel strongly. Spoke briefly to the owner too, and was impressed all round. The MASH restaurant next door (entry via hotel) is near to the best specialist steak restaurant that I have ever been to anywhere in the world. Though a separate business to the hotel, it is a great asset to the hotel. A businessman's steakhouse. My single room was very clean and well appointed, including with internet access, but a little austere. It would have been great to have a little added touch like a vase of flowers, a kettle and complimentary coffee, or a bowl of fruit - something to add to the friendliness of the room.
Free wireless available in the room. When you have a non-smoking room, the hotel is fine. Breakfast is good. The hotel has many smoking rooms, and stating you like a non-smoking room on the booking.com form, is apparently not a reason to give you a non-smoking room. I received a smoking room and was not told so, and when trying to sleep I had troubles getting into sleep because of the disgusting smell. At first nothing was possible, without extra pay. However, when really annoyed and complaining suddenly the rest of the night I could spent elsewhere in the hotel, but I did lose some valuable hours of nightrest.
Breakfast was very good. Noise during night from back yard.
Nice people and good service. Nice view from the window I had to good outside to get into the restaurant
Big room - nice restaurant..... The room had a bad smell, most likely from the kitchen even though it was on the top floor. The windows had to be open during the whole stay and it was freezing.
The resturant was awesome for dinner. Rooms are great. Noisy street life in the weekends but you can shut the doors and block most out. Breakfast was basic but ok.
Hotel & Brasserie Ferdinand was an appartment hotel which offers all amenities necessary for a sort of pied-a-terre experience: you can cook your own meal, wash and dry your clothes etc. The staff was friendly, the service was good and the rooms were very spacious. It's not a typical hotel experience, but generally it will convenience most needs for a simple fuss free stay. There's a nightclub right across the street which can get noisy even on weekdays. The hotel is quite lovely, however it's a bit pricey for what it offers service-wise. Still, the rooms are very spacious and perhaps for some this justifies the price.
Staff were very helpful. Room was excellent particularly for a family as it was 2 separate rooms and a sitting area. Internet access was free which is always a bonus. We ate one night at the restaurant and the food was excellent - one of the best we ate in Europe. The hotel was a bit noisy early in the morning as it was right on the canal but the hotel provided ear plugs. Would have liked a separate small bottle of conditioner as well as the shampoo because now with travelling taking liquids is difficult
very good option for Arhus, with a large suite for the price of a small room in other hotels. Strange smell in the bathroom though, not clean enough. brasserie Ferdinand is a good restaurant
Very clean and modern facility. The electronic check in went very well, however it was somewhat confusing between the pincode and reservation number from booking.com and the (separately emailed) pin/reservation number from the hotel. I came in late and went before breakfast. Allthough vending machines were there in the hallway, I did not succeed in getting a coffee or whatever, machine gave card errors, also not clear if payable by credit card or hotelkeycard... A description in the room how to do this, or , simply, paying by coins/cash would be appreciated.
Looks new. Free internet (need cable). clean room. Quiet surroundings. Need car though to get to center city. Enough free parking. For Danish standards this is a budget hotel. NO desk or personel for checking in. This goes totally through a machine which requires your registration details. Not difficult however. Opening the windows of a warm room realised that rooms on the ground level floor lack privacy as windows open up on the passage way where pedestrian walk.
Clean simple room. Calm area in Aarhus, not that far from the city center. You can borrow city-bicycle to ride it to the city center. Comfortable bed. Free parking. There was a problem with retrieving the electronic key card from the card machine in the hotel - but the hotel staff which we called by phone during the night came fast and solved the matter immediately. So it was not really negative experience.
Very good location, directly on a small marina on the side of the main harbour. 5 minutes drive from the downtown of Arhus only. Free parking. Very basic room furniture and restricted number of international TV channels. No proper invoice will be issued by the automatic check-in counter. Breakfast not included in the high price of the room !
It is a very nice and clean hotel. It offers all conveniences at the price. no
I had a great experience here! First starting with calling Kirsten to let her know I was running late for check-in - which she informed me was quite alright. Upon arrival Kirsten was very welcoming and hospitable. I was given great information about the city and about what I was interested in (parks & museums), I was even recommended the best place to get my first smørrebrød! My room was sweet and clean with plenty of space. I had full access to kitchen/ironing board/washing machine/wifi, everything I needed. Being able to make myself tea/coffee and reheat my leftovers was very nice. I took a pleasant afternoon nap outside on the balcony upstairs while reading a book. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Kirsten! As a backpacker, the stairs were a challenge, though I'd hardly consider them negative.
