Wonderful location, updated decor, amenities. Good complete breakfast and great value for the price. Could hear people outside walking by and doors closing. Also, our door was right outside the first floor main elevator so increased foot traffic went by. Thin walls- if not for that, it would've been a five star rating.
The location was close to the water and by the River Walk Trail. Felt a little shabby, view out of the tiny window was of HVAC units.
The 24 hour pool and hottub Breakfast Cleanliness
We stayed in a room with a view of the river. We could hear the seals barking throughout the night. We loved it! The staff were friendly and very helpful. They accommodated us when we arrived early.
Toilet kept plugging up even after we reported the problem and it was allegedly fixed
Friendly staff. Gave great food recommendations. They gave us a water aide room. And there are sea lions.....
Nothing the place was filthy. Internet didn't work. Staff was unfriendly. Too noisy Staff, unclean room, noisy, old dilapidated needs t be torn down. A disgusting place
Everything worked - beds were comfortable - easy to find Rooms were not extremely clean, or well maintained. A little overprices for the look and feel.
Location was mostly useful for us walking to downtown and saving a buck or two. They did agree to change rooms easily. Nice to have a mini fridge and microwave. Our first room smelled so bad of mildew that I coughed right away. We tried to sticked it through the night with the window open (traffic noise made it hard to sleep), but the smell continue to be awful and unhealthy. Both beds made my back hurt.
Very clean. Comfortable bed. Room was not ready when requested. Cleaning staff entered room just after 9 am. I didn't have a do not disturb sign up, but check out isn't until 11. So this caught me by surprise.
The view from my room was very nice. Would have been better if it wasn't stormy the whole time. The staff was all very nice The comfort of the beds. Didn't sleep very well.
The rooms had nice finishes and were tastefully done. I loved the layout of the lobby and breakfast area, very spacious. I felt like we got what we paid for. Had a wonderful view, great location. Convenient to amenities at Pier 39. Staff was very attentive and thorough.
The bathrooms were nice
I paid 75$ and went to the seafood and wine festival. I was feeling too "happy" to walk to more bars later but could have and would definitely stay here again. There was no mold in the bathroom or hairs in the bed and although the room wasn't fancy, it was comfortable and clean and had a fridge, free parking, and free wireless internet.
It was a super cheap stay that is extremely conveniently located. The room was basic but shockingly clean. The bathroom in room 18 was simple but looked new and was spotless. Receptionist seemed cool and down to earth. The room was small but on par for how much we paid. There are minimal outlets which is expected in an older establishment. There wasn't a lot of natural light in room 18 because the only window was to the only exterior hallway that was dark. Minimal ammenities, front desk had coffee and that's about it. This hotel is perfect for a place to crash for the night while being out and about and having a hot shower in the morning.
WiFi worked Bed ok Smoky and smelly Musty smelling--mold? Towels weren't in room 10% coupon only works if you print it out from website Manager not helpful and smoking with her friends right outside Loud--on busy street, need earplugs Sink was plugged, couldn't use it Could not get refund Feel that I was robbed of $86!!!! All of our stuff smelled of smoke, we had to wash EVERYTHING when we got home.
Smelled like an ash tray and beds were uncomfortable. Sheets didn't look clean and there was hair in the bed.
Very centrally located. We caught the trolley two blocks away, great food four small blocks away, close to the riverfront, and close to the Historic District. The Manager was very friendly and informative. New bathroom fixtures, tile, and paint. Though the bathroom has been given a very nice facelift lately (looks like it took place sometime this year), but the tub was turning brown already and didn't look like it has been toughed with a good cleaner, and there were a couple of those nasty "hairs" in the tub too (the reason I ALWAYS travel with shower flip-flops). The highway is a little noisy all night, but what can you expect when it's only 40' away; it's both a convenience to have the highway that close, and a hindrance.
Simple, clean, central location. Location on Main Street precludes a quiet setting.
I liked the price the most! The room was clean and simple. The bed was a little firm and the pillows a little lumpy - but the price was great. Close enough to downtown and just across the street from the river walk. I would stay here again. The pillows were terrible. The windows (one in the room and one in the bathroom) were low to the ground so I was a little worried about leaving them open at night (watching too much Dateline?) But I left them open anyway, still alive, yay.
Great, small, affordable hostel-style hotel. Shared bathrooms were beautiful and well-kept. Would absolutely recommend.
The staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel offers lots of extra amenities like free DVDs, free records and record player, free coffee in the AM, and free beer in the evening. Jerome was extremely friendly. Nothing. If I had stayed more than one night the walk down the hall to the bathrooms might have gotten old but I'll definitely stay again.
Hotel has a lot of character. We had a suite that ensued we had a private bathroom, which would be my recommendation to anyone staying here. Tons of great things to note: comfortable accommodations, great location, knowledgeable and engaging staff, free happy hour beer, tasteful decorations, trendy feel, great attached restaurant. Street nose is the only thing we could think of as a negative.
It was good for our night there.had no problems. It was a bummer that the pool was closed and for the money we paid breakfast should've. Been complimentary.
They have the base of being a nice place. Basics are covered, however crudely. Staff was very friendly. Charged too much for the quality of the room. Stained carpet, outdated everything, torn shower curtain etc, and still cost me almost $100/night needs a serious face lift/updating.
Everything was just average Street noise was terrible.
The beds were uncomfortable!!! The rooms were over priced!!! Wouldn't stay there again
We like the jacuzzi rooms and shaved stayed twice. Quiet hotel, friendly people. The driveway is hard to find but once you know where it is it's fine.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel. We are 57 years old. The lobby is beautiful with a gas fireplace and comfy seating. Breakfast was excellent! Room décor Maybe the hotel would consider a different pool additive as chlorine is not friendly.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, I'm diabetic also but am responsible enough to not eat all that sugar or complain about it.
Location was unbeatable as it is right on the boat docks. Not great for ambiance or creature comforts but as a fisherman, that isn't what is important. Location was great as I had a 2-minute walk to my charter's slip. Pretty pricey but at the height of the Buoy 10 fishery, it's a matter of supply & demand for a good location.
Comfortable lodging overlooking Marina with great views of bridge and use of bicycles.
The comfort level, room quality, scenery, and service were tops. The facility shows some age but doesn't hurt overall quality. We'lloyd go back. Nothing special to report.
Dan, the mgr, very friendly and kindhearted. Interesting decor. Loved the lobby area which is very open and inviting. 3rd generation baker delivers an array of wares each morning. Just updated. The name is actually Atomic Motel, which threw me off when first booked. Dan says it is a difficult process to get the name changed on all websites. No coffee maker in the room.
The hotel was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. And we loved our room the whole design and said it was just awesome it was a cozy and a home away from home I will definitely be back
Location was ok - room was clean We placed the do not disturb notice so we could get ready to leave for the day. When we returned my husband went to the office to request maid service and he said that the front desk person was so rude that we will not return to this location.
Quiet- we had a room facing the road but very little road noise. We have stayed here before. They've since changed owners and fixed it up. There is a large breakfast area now with ample tables. The breakfast included make your own waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels and other usual breakfast items. It's a little ways out of town but not much and it's more quieter and peaceful because of that. There's a hot tub and pet friendly. We got the no pet room. Great value for the money. We'd definitely stay here again on our coast trips. Nothing
Okay stay for outside of the town proper. I was quoted $70/night, but charged $142/night. I would NEVER pay such a rate for a hotel that offers so little in ammenties; we could hear every word from our neighbors; and the plumbing was loud at every hour.
We just got back from staying at the Astoria Crest Motel in room 120. It had a gorgeous view of the Columbia and the Astoria bridge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. I really liked how the sink, with coffee maker, fridge and microwave were separated from the main room and also separate from the toilet/bath room. There was a comfortable sofa that I kicked back in and watched the cargo ships. The continental breakfast and lobby area were very nice and comfortable. Lovely place to watch the rain this morning. The staff were pleasant to talk with while we waited for a break in the weather to go back to our room. The price was very economical and way less than the chain establishments in Astoria. Good Job. The hot tub is really tiny.
