The view from our room was fantastic, the buffet breakfast was also quite impressive there was a lot to choose from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel did not offer a shuttle service down to beach. Bringing luggage down to the ferry was also quite difficult so we had to pay a porter to do it. This should really be included in the price of the accomodation.
The view, the terrace, the cocktails and dinner, the manager and hostess, the breakfast. The staff was helpful. Was nicely furnished. The matress and the pillow.
Great hotel with wonderful views. Staff were very helpful. Also, hotel offers free boat trips, great bonus. Bathrooms are very small and showers are too tiny.
Location with fantastic view, excellent place for relax. Nothing!
I liked the location and the hotel staff. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. It was noisy.
Beautiful spot on the Amalfi Coast, and a good choice if you want to be able to walk to town/breach/restaurants/etc.
the ambience of the hotel was magical and the staff were friendly helpful and so hospitable. the view from the bedroom was stunning. and the terrace off th ebedroom was a lovely spot to sit and relax at
This was the second time we have stayed at the hotel and being a family-run business it has the ideal mix of friendliness, helpfulness and peace that one wishes for in this ideal location.` We found our bedroom rather noisy as it was situated below the kitchens. We asked to change the room but as the hotel was fully booked it was not possible. Whilst slightly annoying to be woken at 6am it did not deter us from enjoying our holiday.
The hotel was extremely clean and well looked after. Not luxury but very professionally run and very neat and tidy. All staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. A very good atmosphere and a real pleasure to stay in.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very polite and friendly. They made us feel very welcome. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel.
We stayed at the Belvedere for eleven days and everyone of them was an absloute delight. All of the staff members were friendly, courteous, helpful and professional in all of their interactions with us. The hotel was an excellent balance of style and relaxation - we always felt peaceful and valued as a visitor. Our room was excellent, with superb views, the food was extremely good (Fabulous service and different menues every night) and the swimming pool and terrace were beautiful. (The friendly guys, numersous sunbeds and fresh towels added to the experience).
One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Fantastic service, great food, wonderful cocktails ...There is a nice pool amd good access to the sea.
The staff, the view, good pool, good public transport The access to the sea remote, quiet, would not suit younger customers, poor choice of TV channels, plumbing could be improved
The scenery, staff and uniqueness of the hotel were the highlights.
The hotel staff was extremely courteous, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Always willing to help, and to go above and beyond expectations. The hotel itself is lovely, offering breathtaking scenery, an excellent pool and fine food. If you're looking for shopping or entertainment hub, this is not the hotel for you. It is within reach of shopping and entertainment, but the hotel itself if a quiet haven for rest and relaxation.
The Staff was the best. The rooms were large and airy. The view from the rooms was fabulous. The welcome letter in advance of our arrival was unique. The hotel is well appointed Only that some of the furniture in the room needs updating
The hotel was in a stunning location with beautiful views, the pool was lovely and a decent size, our rooms looked out over the sea and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.
the location is fantastic as were the facilities. The hotel has (via lift) access to an own pool as well as to the sea (after 80 more steps on a stair). The breakfast was particularly good is it was nicely served on an open terrace high above the Mediterranean with wonderful views to Amalfi and as far as Salerno. The dinner was somewhat slow as the maitre d' took great pains to explain and discuss the selection options at each and every table, holding up the rest of the room waiting for their turn to come
The views, the pool and location
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - prepared to go the extra mile. Quality of the rooms we stayed and the layout/location of pool and supporting staff service were all excellent. Quality of dinners was excellent. Breakfast might offer a little more variety around just rolls and croissants.
The hotel staff is amazing: humorous and helpful. The 'conca' (a cove) fences off from other swimming places letting one enjoy a big chunk of the see almost on his own. The hotel is located in the countryside, whic is better as it is quiter and less crowded. The bedsheets were changed once in several days which was quite stange for **** hotel.
A beautiful scenary and seaview. Very quiet, and suitable for people who are happy with the hotel's facilities and not much else. Most importantly: the hotel is deserted. It's very difficult to get to other places, as nothing is nearby (except for the Grotta Smeraldo). Buses are often late, and taxis are incredibly expensive. The hotel is vey quiet after dinner, so don't expect charming bars or nightlife. Some rooms might have big trees blocking the seaview. Swimming facilities are poor, with one ladder, no beach and sometimes strong currents and high waves.
The whole environment was relaxing. Nothing we didn't like but I would say its not the best location if you don't have a car and want a stroll in the evening.
breath taking scenery, rooms with panoramic views extremely helpfull staff great wine cellar great menu .... wow
Location, location, location
The views were stunning and the hotel was located in a lovely tranquil spot 2km from Amalfi. The food was fresh and very tasty. The rooms were well decorated and spacious if a little tired. However, We first noticed a really loud noise that sounded 10 times louder than a hand dryer come from underneath the bathtub. This roaring sound came suddenly approximately every 2 hours and lasted 3 minutes. We called reception to report this noise twice but no action, We forgot about it and had a nice dinner and wine. The loud noise woke us up all through the night and we were exhausted the next day. Receptionist told that it was our fault for not escalating it despite us calling them twice the previous day. The Owner later compensated us with dinner, but being blamed by receptionist ruined our stay
Very helpful staff, extremely clean room, in a beautiful spot on the coast. The private swimming area does not have a beach, just a patio by the sea- it is lovely, but we were unclear from the website description.
Location was good- half way between Amalfi and Positano, though since we were not in one of those towns, we had to use the busses more. Lovely patio dining area. Great views. Access down to the water. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Showering was difficult because the fixture wasn't properly installed. Many tour groups were dropped off outside in the mornings to shop in the ceramics store. Seemed to make it difficult to catch the bus.
The room, view, and staff were wonderful. Everyhing was a total tourist trap. The food was terrible and overpriced. I am a chef and this was like a bad diner experience with inflated prices. No taste. Just food thrown together. I paid 80 euro for a small load of laundry. Internet was not available until 2 days after arrival. No staff were available at night. Whoever owns this hotel is arrogant. A view does not a hotel make.
A relaxing visit to the Amalfi coast. The views from the hotel are lovely. Situated well for visiting the coast and Pompei. Breakfast and Dinner were a joy overlooking the coast. Nothing
Good restaurant and helpful staff. Great view from room. The rooms and hallways are in need of updating. Hallway carpets, room furniture and bedding need to be updated.
Facilities were very good with the tennis court and pool. Also the hotel location was excellent. There seem to be no twin rooms which can be a probablem if you are travelling with a friend. However the hotel staff found us a larger room but my friend still had to sleep on a sofa bed.
the scenery and pool area
nice hotel in a good location
The restaurant had a limited buffet menu. There was difficulty getting food outside the restaurant rigid schedule.
The pool Location was a quite a bit of a steep walk from the beach, that was no problem for us although maybe for others
the veiw, the staf, every thing no
The comfort of the room, the excellent breakfast (with lots of varieties) No internet in the rooms...They don't have any kind of shuttle to get to the hotel. We arrived at the port and were told that we need to get up to the piazza and grab the local bus to get to the hotel. No big deal when you're without luggage, but when you're carrying heavy suitcases you really don't feel on a relaxing vacation. There is a Porter company that offers this service for 7 euros per suitcase. It's kinda ridiculous when you realize that you're off to a 4 star hotel and are going to pay over 150 euro per night. One would imagine that someone else would have thought about that before you... but no. Same for the way out, you have to carry all your luggage higher on the mountain to grab the bus back to Naples.
We were very dissappointed with our stay the first impression was very bad they try to put us in a standard room when we had paid for classic triple sea view. There was no sea view. The staff did not understand us lanuage barrier which was very frustrating. Rooms needed alick of paint black marks on the walls. Things we enjoyed were the pool and the room was cleaned every day. The cleaning staff were friendly the rest of the staff could take a lesson from this a smile costs nothing.
The view was amazing. The restaurant should open to others not staying at hotel. Great food, would have liked to have friends join us for dinner, but they only charge to room and would not provide separate check for those not staying at hotel.
The couple that owns the hotel were very nice; additionally, they drove us to the bus stop and picked us up each day as it is a very far walk. The suite we had was very nice and a good value. Great views. The hotel is located on a hill with very limited bus service. The jacuzzi on the solarium does not have a heater.
the cleanliness of my room was awesome. it has 106 stairs to it. Not very good for older people.
This is a great property and the view is fantastic. Breakast and evening drinks on the balcony will be treasured memories of our time there.
The venue and location and the freindly staff.
The view from the hotel is really amazing. The access to the hotel is difficult, there are too many ladders to get into it and also it is far from the beach/city center. To use the air conditioning, we had to pay 10EUR per day! The service at the jacuzzi area is not so good, we have asked for bruschetta and they brought it without knife and knappings. Further the bed and pillows were not confortable.
the View was absolutely fabulous room was small; many steps to get to the hotel
The views are fantastic but that's because the hotel is way up the hill from the main town. The hotel is very nice. No complaints except maybe the breakfast could have been a bit more varied. Positano is fantastic. For me the best place in the area. I see other reviewers are praising the location! For me it was not good. Apart from the 100 or so stairs you have to walk up it is probably almost a mile uphill from the main center before you reach the stairs.
The hotel was clean, and the staff courteous and helpful. The food was very good also Access up the steps was difficult for some - but good exercise!
This is my second stay at the Conca d'Oro, and I will return again and again. The views are spectacular, the breakfast is ample, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Many excellent restaurants and charming shops are within easy walking distance along the winding road to the beach. The Hotel Conca d'Oro is a lovely retreat with large terraces and incredible views of Positano and the glistening bay below.
Spectacular views. The "Terrace Rooms" are definitely worth the extra $. Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding breakfast with the option to add eggs/omlet for small charge. Very helpful staff. Parking available close by. Comfortable spacious rooms. All around great value. 120 steps from the street to the hotel desk. Not for those who have very limited mobility. (This is true for most of Positano). Porter will meet you at the parking area to bring your luggage.
Outstanding views of the water and hillside if you have a sea view room Not really an issue but lots of stairs to get to the hotel
It's just a very nice hotel. It's pretty expensive.
Very helpful and personal service. Sitting out on the terrace relaxing with the wonderful view. We could always ask for something and receive satisfaction. The car parking lot was very helpful, so close and the attendants were courteous. Good value for the money spent. No
View Location a bit far from activity
The staff was helpful and friendly, location excellent, only 5 minutes from the free beach (approximately 150 steps). Our room had sea view (it was a superior room) which was beautiful, very much worth the price we paid. Breakfast was excellent, not just sweet things, but fresh vegetables and fruits, and bread.
Great views from the rooms and parking is worth its weight in gold in this area, being in between the "main" hubs in the area Positano and Amalfi was a bit more relaxed and well positioned to visit either.
The staaf was very kind' The rooms are big and comfortable, The view marvelousץ
relaxe and look around in the area No
The free parking was very nice since it is difficult to park in the area. The local bus was easy to use to visit nearby towns. The hotel was very quiet at night and the rooms spotless. The views from the rooms were spectacular.I definitely would go back. The only down side was the hotel didn't have a restaurant for dinner. But the hotel staff was very helpful in suggesting local restaurants. They even came to pick us up and brought us back to the hotel after dinner free of charge.
The view from our room was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed sitting on our own terrace and watching the boats as well as the Amalfi Coast. Also, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. No, we thought it was a very good value for the money.
Cleanliness No Wi Fi Internet access
The extremely pleasant and multilingual staff worked tirelessly to ensure our stay a positive experience. Our room was spotlessly clean each day, the size and condition of the room surprisingly good, and the large balconies overlooking the Mediterranean were incredible. Due to availability at the end of the season, they upgraded us to the mini-suite at no charge. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. nothing.
Loved the room and the location, tho a bit out of the way, i liked that about it. Had own private beach so didn't have to go to public beach which was always way crowded. Loved the terraces and the views. A lovely place and recommend to all. Would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room due to it being out of the way. It would have helped to have some snacks since the hotel did not have full time restuarant.
The best thing about this apartment is the fantastic location, right on the beach. We arrived by boat and only had a minutes walk to the front door. It's a nice traditional apartment and was exceptionally clean. The staff we met were also very charming and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this apartment mainly due to the easy location for access to the beach/ restaurants etc.
The location is the best right on the beach with amazing views both ways you look. It is clean, safe and well designed.
The room is small, but bed comfortable, air-conditioning worked, it was clean and convenient for the beach and boat dock with restaurants nearby. For those who don't want to walk up and down the steep paths each time to go to and from the beach/hotel/restaurants, this could be a help, although there are stairs to the room. The window opens to the beach and you can hear the waves when the window is open. A little bit hard to find the entrance. It's accessed from the beach in front of the pay-beach area. The staff were looking for us, otherwise we wouldn't have known where to enter. There is no reception desk. Good budget place to stay if you're not planning to spend much time in the room. As far as I know, no parking is available although the booking indicated otherwise. This is not an area accessible by car.
If you wish to enjoy a relaxed holiday, in the absolute prime location in Positano, La Caravella is simply the place to stay.
We enjoyed the location so much! Close to everything important-restaurant, water, ferry and nightlife! Rosa was absolutely wonderful! Very helpful! Not very comfortable beds but great view and clean! Wifi a little expensive to use for 3 days and wifi service in the whole town not great. But overall wonderful and beautiful great people!
The location was amazing and any minor grumble paled in comparison. Arrival was a little tricky as it is not clear how to get a staff members attention, some of the apartments in the block appeared to be privately owned. The staff were average in their interpersonal skills however as mentioned this did not impact on the stay. The apartment is literally gate, sand, beach. The water was crystal clear and we swam everyday. It was helpful having the kitchenette as the local restaurants are average.
Tha staff was helpfull, but not invasive. The site is not operated like hotel, rather like rental rooms / appartments, well appointed and very clean. the location was exellent, on the beach, yet close to all other attractions like restaurants, shops, etc.
The Location was excellent!! They want us to pay cash, which wasn't stated on the website! I felt a little uncomfortable paying cash as she was hesitant about giving me a reciept!
The location is fabulous as well as the view and all facilities were great. It is difficult to bring your luggage back and forth but if you are in shape, it is fine. Not recommended for seniors. The air circulation was not good in the apartment and we could have used a fan since the curtains kept the air still but that is solvable.
The advert specified two bathrooms. We only had one.Towels were not provided on daily basis.Beds and rooms were not made or cleaned on daily basis.
The amazing views from the balcony every morning and the relaxing atmosphere The beds were very hard and with two singles pushed together created an uncomfortable lump between my husband and I during sleep. Also due to the surrounding area there were ants in our room that needed to be sprayed each evening. Not a major problem as the hotel was amazing.
The location and views The stairs and the venicular breaking down. A bit shabby around the edges as well.
The best part of the hotel is the private beach. It's a bit of an adventure to get down there... taking the outdoor 'funicular', down some steps, then another lift....but once you're there, it's the most beautiful and peaceful place to relax, swim and sunbathe. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. It's only a small one but had everything we fancied - fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, scrambled egg and bacon. Our private patio area was amazing. We had a table with two chairs on the upper level of the patio, and two sunbeds and an umbrella on the lower level. And the view was spectacular! The staff are so friendly, pleasant and helpful. If there was one problem I found with it, it's that the umbrella's on the beach aren't weighed down enough. Ours kept blowing over in the breeze.
Spectacular views, excellent service, and friendly staff. The beds were average comfort.
Amazing views but the hotel is very very dated and done with minimum amount of expense. Not good value for money -- it is 3 stars at the most
Le Agavi is beautiful! It's set on the mountainside, just outside Possitano, Italy. The shuttle from the hotel takes you to and from the town.
Beautiful view. Great beach. Lift broke - so we had to walk 400 steps up and down to room. Not fun when you are on vacation. Also, felt staff was not honest about when it was going to be fixed. We were told one day then the next. Loud hotel. You can hear your neighbors very clearly. Ac was broken - thank goodness it was not hot outside. We were told it would be fixed - never got fixed.
The hotel is in a fantastic location , the view from our room (609) was just amazing,, the free bus service takes you to Positano which saves you 30 euro return trip by taxi. The staff were always helpful and the food in the restaurant coupled with amazing views over the sea and Positano was very good. The private beach was good too, we were there two days and had it to ourselves for most of it.We will be back For 5 star we cant believe there is not a kettle and some tea or coffee in the room so you can make yourself a drink , room service is fine but pricey.
The location Pool not clean enough
OUr view from the balcony was amazing!! The pool staff was not very friendly. All the other staff were superb.
Hotel Staff excellent except the pool attendant he had an attitude problem.Food and service excellent. The beds very uncomfortable
It was a beautiful hotel tucked away in the cliffs of Positano. The views were magnificant I didn't like that we had to leave! :)
The location offers stunning views of Positano. The hotel staff were very welcoming and efficient and the room, although slightly dated, was very comfortable and quiet at night. We used a car which was collected and dropped off at the hotel for us whenever we needed it. We didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel but the breakfasts were delicious! All in all a very relaxing stay. make sure you don't get a room next to the lift!
Friendleness of the staff of shuttle bus service the shuttle bus times could have been a bit more frequent
One of the best hotels we have stayed in and our holiday was an absolute pleasure Nothing
Location and View, restaurant
Loved the location and the view of the beach No
Excellent customer service.
It is a nice hotel with big and clean rooms, good location, friendly staff and beutiful sea views. The promised jacuzzi did not work.
The room was beautiful. The staff Julio, Stefano Genaro and our room maid were absolutely wonderful, couldn't be more helpful and full of information. The hotel had wifi in the lobby and terrace restaurant. The views from the balcony were spectacular. The breakfast were continental style but simply fantastic from cold meats and cereal to never ending pastries, fruit and the coffee was very good
How attentive the staff was. It made the trip that much more enjoyable.
I did not enjoy my stay at all. This is a 2/3 star hotel under the name of 4 stars. I asked for my room to be changed because I did not like it, i was told that I should have booked a "suite". So I got one at an exhobitant price, apart for being slightly larger the facilities were the same: non exhistent. Food, position, facilities non exihstent, staff very patronising.
beautiful view from balcony, attentive and courteous staff, spacious and clean room
Great staff and location room need some restoration and repair
The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were great.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large, the beds comfortable and the view out of this world. I would highly recommend a visit to the Hotel Posa Posa. I have only been back in Australian for 4 days and am already saving and dreaming of my next trip to Positano, where I will certainly stay at the same hotel. I loved everything
Position of hotel is good with good views This hotel certainly does not merit a four star rating even by Italian standards.
The staff was wonderful. My niece's wedding reception at the hotel was superb.
Absolutely beautiful landscape, spacesious well furnished rooms, extremely friendly and efficient staff, very convenient packing arrangements, everything is excellent! We liked everything, only cardboard doors were a bit noisy and not fully convenient.
Amazing staff, always smiling and cheerful. Nice views across Positano from the rooms...big spacious rooms with balcony...a refreshing change from the shoebox I had in Rome which was more expensive. 10 min walk to the beach, bus stop very close by so easy to get to Sorrento or Amalfi where you can catch the train to Pompeii, Vesusvius and Herculaneum. Would definitely go back. No complaints.
the stuff is very very nice! they help you in everything. This hotel is well known in positano and everybody respect it and their stuff so when you get to a restaurant you get the best seat! The position of the hotel is great!
The hotel was everything that we could ask for on this part of the coast. The aspect across the bay from our balcony was spectacular and the suite had all the facilities we required. We ate a few times at the hotel in the evening and the food was always good. Nowhere in Positano is an easy walk but the Eden Roc is in a great position to get straight to the shopping. Best of all were the staff. Many thanks especially to Simona, Pascal and Carlo who could not have been more helpful. Nothing!!
Great value for a four star. Fine location, excellent view and competent/friendly staff. Sould have informed in advance of 25 Euro/night parking charge.
The staff were very friendly, especially Simona. Location was excellent and the room was great! Antonio or Tony that made breakfast was very accomodating and his scrambled eggs were excellent. Thumbs up in all departments. I thank all the staff for the wonderful stay. Parking was a little pricey.
Amazing view. Dinner was great. Wine tasting, Service was outstanding Need to improve breakfast. Service was good tho
Hotel staff helpful and professional. Pillows were like rocks.
The entire staff was exceptional
everyting about eden roc was beautiful. We loved our room, the view and the staff. The bed wasn't great, but easy to forget in such a great hotel.
We absolutely loved the view...it was wonderful to have when you wake of a morning! A man at Reception was not pleasant upon arrival (he was not wearing a name badge) and it did not make us feel welcome which was unfortunate being our honeymoon. As a travel agent I was quite disappointed.
Staff were great. Very helpful. We had a very large terrace with probably one of the best views in the world. Cannot think of anything.
The staff recommended several great restaurants, and also helped set up driver to take us to Pompei. The scenery was magnificent.
Staff was helpful and kind, especially for Italians. Arranged car to transfer us to/from Naples train station. Location was a little high up in the town. It made the trek to/from city center and the beach quite long and arduous. Still, easier to access than other hotels.
hotel staff and location
Loved the hotel & especially enjoyed the private terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Ocean. Hard to find such a good breakfast in Italy. Bus stop located in front of the hotel.
The views Their arrangements regarding parking
Service from the staff, pleasant, cheerful and very helpful
Rooms were as they were depicted; clean and fresh. Staff were very helpful in recommending excellent restaurants and taxi service made the evenings out so enjoyable as we could both enjoy wine with our meals. In room Internet was not working which meant we had to go to the lobby for access. This was a disappointment.
