Nice failities Needs a hot tub/pool
Friendliness and helpfullness of front desk. Housekeeping did not show up 2 of 4 days, even with complaints. I notified them that I would be out of the room from 6am until noon while I had dialysis and would need to sleep all Wednesday and Friday afternoons. No action, not even clean towels!
The beds were uncomfortable..hard pellows and not a comfortable matress. The tv and dvd player were both borken..repoted to staff and they were unable to do anything. Also the almost 200 dollar hold on my card was not expected.
yes there were a lot of noise during the night (of other guests)
Very well situated place in the center of Silicon Valley. At least, the "Club Level" is of very high quality considering the price of the room. At the hotel itself, the dining service is not top-grade but sufficient. Anyway, the place is rounded by lot of restaurants.
Proximity to buisiness event; quiet Resturant not open
safe location, easy to acces free ways, excellent families restaurant next door of Hotel I have no complain.
The hotel is conveniently located for car access to Santana Row and the Valley Fair Shopping Mall and has onsite parking facilities. The room was nice and comfortable but nothing fancy. We stayed there as we wanted to be close to the shopping areas.
Nice rooms and very friendly staff
Location was perfect for us and the place is warm and attractive with a very professional and helpful staff.
Although we arrived late in the evening (about 10:30), we were greeted by the upbeat and friendly front desk staff, who quickly took care of checking us in. Not long after we got into our room, we received a call to check that all was well. We requested extra towels and they arrived in less than 10 minutes. The beds, pillows and bedding were 1st class and very comfortable. Our room was quiet and nicely appointed.
Staff was fantastic and the hotel was very nice
Despite being in an outer corner room on a very busy intersection, it was extremely quite in our room. We did hear sirens a few times but nothing too bad. Our room was very clean and comfortable with pleasant decor. The breakfast was plenitful and with a fair amount of options. The bed and pillows were both very comfortable. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay again as well as recommend it. Only a slight nit pick, but I would suggest maybe updating the down comforter in the room we stayed (3257) or others possibly. Ours definitely had seen better days and was a lot more worn out than what I would expect from a Joie de Vivre hotel. Do something to fill the gap at the bottom of the door to the room, it's too big allowing air come in and a bit of noise from the hallway.
There are great people working at Wild Palms Hotel!
Much of the property is under construction...plastic and sawdust everywhere, and workers start very early in the morning. If this was disclosed during booking it would have helped set my expectations of the place. The shower handle was broken off and there was hair in the drain. They are clearly focused on the renovation, not their current guests.
Central location, good parking A little noisy (room was near the pool). Blinds did not close properly and there was landscape lighting outside
Good breakfast, nice room, good location for us.
Free wifi, comfy bed, decent shower. Convenient and free parking, close to some great restaurants. Crap TV channels, no on site food/beverage services, small room, overpriced, horrible breakfast, construction on my outside wall early morning,
Little touches like pool towel service (soft rich absorbent!) and text confirmations. Not really a high end or charming boutique hotel, just a well run chain.
Chintzy Internet that requires reauthenticating every day. Location is not convenient to highways.
The room was large and immaculate. The gym was better than most hotel gyms. Everything loowed clean and new, and breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were extremely helpful. Best hotel of our trip so far. The laundry facilities were too small for such a large hotel. There were two people waiting when I went, so we had to look for an alternative.
Great value. Nice staff. Excellent value for the price! Everything met or exceeded my expectations.
Good for price not to many ammenties The noise how small the rooms were. Only two double or king with a sofa bed, My daughter had to sleep on the sofa bed and it was very uncomfortable. It was very noisy. I asked for a room that was not facing the road and she said I will the best I can. Well it was so bad that I didn't sleep. Definitely a business hotel.
We felt really comfortable
The hotel does exhibit some age, but is well kept, located near family we are visiting, clean, staffing always very accommodating, parking is covered. The daily breakfast is excellent, represents a great value, eliminating the need to go off site. No complaints
The location was were we wanted to be. The first bed we had was hard. They did upgrade us to a better room and bed. The TV in both rooms did not work properly. Because of the low number of guests, the 'Breakfast' was skimpy and the coffee was poor.
location breakfast was to say the least was werid
I was too cold at night, needed a better balanket...
Terrific and diverse breakfast compared to other hotels at this level. Very quiet. Upscale deco and room appointments, but functional. Particularly like that the room was reader and personal electronics-centric, with nice built-in AC outlets on both sides of the bed stand in addition to adjustable reading lights on the outside of each bed's headboard, so that the person sleeping on the outside to the center lamp could also have light to read or whatever without having to employ a headlamp. Very nice upscale shower and bathroom with the minor caveat listed in critiques. Green flush options always nice to see. Adjusting the shower head away from yourself while the water heats up was a a little less than optimal and would have been impossible from anyone much shorter than about 5'4" (average height for American women). The valve that switches the water from the main head to the handheld head was way up there out of obvious view.
Our room was very quiet and comfortable.
I stay at the Maple Tree Inn when I visit my son and his wife in Sunnyvale. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. I feel right at home in the lobby. The room is clean with all the amenities. The breakfast is wonderful. I would like to have access to the newspaper.
Comfortable bed, quiet heating/cooling system. Internet stalled occasionally. Freezer portion of refrigerator barely worked and needed defrosting. Highway access mediocre. Only one treadmill. Closed captioning on television did not work.
freandly personal. good location convinuse parking and reasanable budget.
Breakfast was a typical buffet for this class of hotel with cold and hot foods that met my needs. Quick check-in and check-out Good value for the price Booked two rooms online but the rooms were charged different rates. The manager on watch could not correct the charge. The Front Desk immediately corrected the charge the next morning. Room was dim especially by the desk. The desk lamp was too focused. Needed a broader beamed lamp by the desk. Did not have an easy chair to watch TV. Watched from the bed.
Staff are very courteous. Top of the line toiletries - comparable to 5 starts deluxe. Room, and common areas are sufficiently clean. Nice breakfast included. Nice social/dining room. Address on the internet fail to state that it is on "East" El Camino Real, and since there's a "West" El Camino Real, it's makes it difficult to find. Room and furnishing, while adequately & functional, is rather aged, and "country inn" like. No flat screen TV.
Ease of access close to shops & restaurants Don't expect to sleep much at night! The Heating/AC unit in all the rooms are so noisy that, not only was I waken up by the one in my room each time it started, but also when the units in the rooms on either side started as well. For the price, it is very disappointing.
big noise in the bathroom
Hotel looks great when you walk in. Very friendly staff. Parking available in basement garage which was perfect considering it rained the day I checked out - stayed dry. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Excellent king size bed. Just the right amount of stiffness. Comforter was cozy. Hotel is on a three lane one way street. Meaning you have to make a u-turn when you want to get back to the freeway. And Sunnyvale lights aren't time-generous with turning light signals. Be prepared to wait a few turns before making that U-turn. Wished the bar was open later than 12am. Caught a Sharks game, grabbed a bite afterwards, came back to the hotel for drinks and the bar was closed. Very disappointing. Room had a stereo alarm with a dated iPhone 4 dock. Did have an auxiliary port though. Pillows are waaaay too soft. Room was located on the main floor. Not as convenient as you'd think if you like privacy. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE. Over $8 for the standard continental and over $16 for the full breakfast bar - PER PERSON. Billable to your room of course. Still very displeasing. Settled for some subway down the street - $17 for two mouths. You do the math.
Excellent bed, friendly staff who also gave us traffic update Shower was either scalding or freezing, mostly freezing. Thought breakfast was included, but it was $12.95. Paid $17 for 3 incinerated taquitos and an iced tea for dinner.
perfect for business stays
i liked the independent nature of the inn - you could go directly to your room from the garage, rather than going through the lobby. great breakfast, happy hour, and snacks at front desk upon arrival. great housekeeping staff and nice touches in the room - i.e., bottle of water and premium chocolates to say hello. i liked the clearly clean, shrink-wrapped dishes, glasses, cutlery. centrally located - near a shopping center to get groceries and manicures, etc. i will definitely stay here again.
Very nice and well equipped appartments, good price, good location, free underground parking
The staff would not try to help guests, rather just "do" their job Very bad experience interacting with the staff. Inconsistent information among them to guests, got misled, and they were not helping at all. Disappointed.
The tootsie rolls at the front desk, the effort to try and turn a very basic hotel into something a little more via small things like stocking the fridge with a few beverages that you could purchase was a nice effort. While the breakfast may be basic, I thought the steamed rice, fresh pineapples and papaya juice helped make it feel more special than a run-of-the-mill hotel. If you can't change the architecture, you can add little touches, which they did. The fruit infused water was nice too. Staff was great. While we were there they offered fresh-made guac for a small fee during the evening hours--totally unexpected.
Staff was very helpful. Hotel was overbooked, but they arranged another hotel, gave a voucher for an extra night and a small gift bag and paid for the transport to my business meeting (since I couldn't use their shuttle).
Convenient location and easygoing staff. Room 100 is adjacent to the laundry, the lobby, and the breakfast room. It is the only room in the hotel like this. It sees constant noise until 1am and beginning again at 5am. Charging (after taxes) roughly 300/night for such a room is an embarrassment for any hotel, not least a business hotel for commuters. More professionalism please!
The staff was very friendly and the hotel facilities were very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and the favorite part of my stay!
Friendly staff. Good room. Modern, kitschy design. Hallways felt a little dreary. Same with the breakfast room.
I especially liked the hi-fi Lounge on our floor. Great place to sit and read when getting up early. Very relaxing.
The front desk people are really nice and helpful. Their staff seems to know what they are doing and genuinely care to accommodate you.
Fun location, great vibe, beautiful common areas and outdoor living space. Wonderful breakfast included with room. Called to confirm pool was open (November) with beverage service, were told it was and that someone would come out to offer us drinks. Nobody ever came for 3 hours.
Staycation Paradse... Ran away Halloween night... Great food drinks and security keep fun a perfect balance
the cleanliness and uniqueness of the room and facility
Great hot tub and pool in a convenient location right in Santana row. Spacious rooms, well furnished and decorated. A welcome respite from Silicon Valley. N/a
The Valencia Hotel is one of my all time favourite hotels. the location is excellent, priced competitively and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great service!
Convenient location, rooms are spacious Staff who were responsible for room service, hotel operator on phone were outright rude
Very comfortable room. Close to shopping and great food.

The staff The double beds were horrible and uncomfortable and the room reeked of stale cigarettes. No coffee pot, no trash can in room only in bathroom. Very disappointed
Great place, very neat as well as new. Nice counter table, high chairs, large like home fridge with stove and cabinets. It almost felt like a studio home.
Easy access to all freeways and your rate for that night. It was 'hiding out' behind another property....so I had to drive past a few times and finally stop at the lodge in front (on El Camino) and ask where it was? Once found, all was good.
Ok It was really hard to find. I was driving around for an hour and a half because no street sign existed identifying the hotel. Even the front desk on the phone couldn't give precision directions. It was my OnStar that finally got me there.
Ali went out of his way to assure my comfort when I first arrived. There was a problem with the heater in my room and I also wanted to have a quiet room away from the freeway noise. He was wonderful with all of my request. The 'grab and go' breakfast choices were not that great

- bathroom clean - good location - room very cramped (more than Alviso location) - sheets apparently not changed - breakfast pretty bad (esp. bad coffee, no milk) - could not extend stay, was not advised at checkin - employee promised late checkout, then other employee denied she had

Their service is really poor and the front desk was not polite
The Hotel was under renovation! I was given a room that literary worth a penny. When I complained - they moved me to a room much better (the excuse was given: ‘I requested the upper floor” – but not a shabby room!”). The next door hotel sign said 53.99. The attendance told me – no 48-hour notice and I have to pay for all five nights - because, it was booked through you. Everythings
There was nothing to like about this horrid place. Upon arriving, you discover a surprise welcome of a $10 "Resort fee", which is like a toll to merely enter a doctor's office. Filthy, mold in shower, pubic hairs around base of toilet, NO BEDSPREAD, burned out lightbulb by bedside lamp, REEKED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE--it was a "non-smoking room!" There are much cleaner and more pleasant motels up and down El Camino Real for $100/night. Naugahyde armchair was worn, PEELING/missing edging, unraveling The worst accommodations anywhere in the US--including the youth hostels of my college days!
The room was clean, Maid service WONDERFUL. Thre requested/confirmed room was not available. The breakfast bar was non-existant.Air conditioner broken (100+ temps). Cable TV was 1 station. Staff was non-responsive, I was told "Thats to bad" when I told them the AC did not work.
The hotel was almost empty, so it was very quite. My room was non-smoking room, but I think it used to be smoking room and converted to non-smoking by spraying some deodorant. The mixture of still lingering smoking odor along with chemical they used was not very pleasant.
Nothing 1. WiFi does not work. This was very critical for me. I called the front desk several times but they could not fix the problem. 2. Toilet and shower are dirty
Good parking area Yes. This is the worse hotel I have ever been to. The most smelly room, really stinking from Smoke. I arrived to the hotel at 11 PM and waited for the reception person to wake up. He told me that this is the last room he has, although I booked for non smoking room. I have throw up up all night, the smell was impossilbe. I do not recommend to even get closed to this hotel.
A lot of restaurant close to the hotel, and the access is easy finding. And it is a secure place. The housekeeper make a lot of noise early at the morning (09am), this is dirty carpet in the room, but the bed is clean as well as the batroom. There is not restaurant for the breakfast, it is organise in the small loby.
wifi works excellent. clean room, quiet place
Place Kitchen facility is not available.
Nice people, good location In the front wall, there is the room's door, and all the rest of the wall is a giant show-window which can give an uncomfortable feeling regarding the stuff security
Loved the room. Wish I could always get it at that price!
Very nice property. Love having a full size kitchen in every room. The bed size was limited to a queen, which is okay, I just love a king sized bed! Breakfast was a continental plus as they had a waffle maker and party sausages and poached eggs. The TV is set up at an awkward angle from the bed. The sofa is also a bed, but I'm a person who has to watch tv to sleep. Very petty quibbles. This is a very nice property. Definately book if your worried about a nice clean room. This will impress you.
Sound attenuation from room to room is significantly lacking. We had to be relocated after two days. But could still hear convesations and noises from adjoining rooms. The mattreses are old and lumpy.
House setting kitchen
It is centrally located to shopping and night life easy cab ride.
Good location, good price, excellent staff-very friendly, very courteous, very responsive, overall very enjoyable stay. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the front desk to management were excellent. Everything was in working order. The pull out couch was not as comfortable but then again it is a couch. I did not expect it to be plush.
The kitchen had everything we needed,it was very clean, and breakfast was great. None.
Location and Bed
It was quiet, clean and updated. No complaints Close to what my needs were. Room didn't have a view a little small but fine for me alone.
The room was large and well equipped with a flat panel TV, DVD player, frig, microwave and coffe pot. The bed was a pillow top bed with four pillows. Also, the breakfast included eggs, a meat, bagels, toast, muffins and of course cereals. Nothing
Toilet ran 24/7, staff was oblivious while CA was in a severe drought. Toilet clogged, staff gave me a plunger to fit it myself. Dresser drawer would not stay closed, staff was oblivious. TV did not work during 1/2 of stay, received only 1/2 of the adjustment I was told I was getting. Staff was unable to make any decisions without management. Way overpriced for amenities offered!
It's nice to have breakfast included. Premium cable tv. We stayed right next to the ice machine. Not fun to wake up to that. Ask to be a little further. Tables in dining room were very squished together. Breakfast ended at 9:30am. Maybe they should extend it til at least 10:30. Possibly 11. I wouldn't stay here more than 2 nights. Very basic.
Cleanliness was average, but I did check around for bed bugs just in case. The outside was dirty and dated and made me nervous to sleep there-- wouldn't come back here even for the price.
The staff was great, the facility was very clean, and the location was awesome close to everything. I enjoyed check in and late check out. The staff bent over backwards to make my stay wonderful including letting me get juice after breakfast when I turned in my key and not saying anything when I checked out 20 minutes late. Well done to the management I would give you 10 stars if I could. Please do not change anything except maybe extend breakfast.
On the bottom floor closest to the entry door, was pretty loud. Should have asked for room move options. The sink is not in the bathroom. The HVAC system looks pretty old and was kinda loud. Other than that, a typical inexpensive hotel room. Wasn't going for a luxury stay, just a place to crash.
Location was great and bed was clean and comfortable. Paid for a room with whirlpool, water went from brown to green. So lovely! Complained to front desk and they pretended that they didn't know about it, when there where clear signs of maintenance in the room. I was just told that I had already paid and that I was good to go. Also didn't appreciate the meddling Indian guy at front desk, asking me where I work and what I was doing there, where I was coming from. Horrible. Looks outdated from outside. Quite loud.
Hotel Zico is sweet and like getting away to a Greek island. The hotel was beautifully set up to get away from the city bustle I'm used to. I enjoyed the comfy beds and close dining areas around the hotel. The walls are thin so we got to hear rowdy kids at night and loving couples too. So the other hotel visitors were the issue not the hotel it's self.
Decent staff, good bed, not terribly expensive for the area. Breakfast is all right, with eggs-to-order being the highlight. My room faced a porch where people talked on the phone and smoked at all hours, and the door didn't block noise or smoke. The wifi was terrible -- frequent dropouts, got kicked off the network all the time, and slow even when it worked. Hard to find in between freeway ramps. Ubers always get lost picking me up here.
Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet with custom omelettes, comfortable bed, heater and frig not too loud, convenient right off hwy 85. Lots of places to eat close by. Near to Stanford. Much better value than Domain Hotel nearby. Nothing.
Comfortable Room and able to good a good night's sleep. Breakfast room was a good size. Buffet style service- waffles, hard boiled eggs, toast, banana bread muffins, country potatoes, sausages/bacon or both, and made to order omelet, greek yogurt and toppings. We could usually skip lunch. Need to approach hotel slowly on El Camino- Entrance driveway is close to the entry for Route 85S - If you miss it- need to drive and make some U-turns on El Camino to get back.
Good Location and friendly staff Only one bath towel.
Rooms have flat screens with all HBOs. Bathrooms are redone nicely small but adequate. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. King bed is more comfortable than double quens. Breakfast has fruit, cerel, coffee, juice scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and home made omelette. Underground parking free and wifi free Noise is a factor so close to the freeway and main road. Moved my room to 210. That side of building is best. Have to do 2 cloverleafs on I-85 to get there from Camino Real.
The room was very stylish and functional. All the amenities that a solo traveler needed. If I'm in the area again this is where I'm staying.
The complimentary breakfast far exceeded our expectations - made to order omelets, sausage, freshly made potatoes. And the front desk staff were incredibly friendly.
It was very clean and comfortable. The room came with a mini fridge and microwave. Great cable TV channels, more than I've ever seen and it was free. Staff were always friendly. The free breakfast was good with made to order omelets, oatmeal with all the trimmings, breakfast potatoes, meat choice, waffles, cereals, etc. I stayed Sunday through Thursday and the price was unbelievable for this area with what it offers. I've recommended it to my friends and coworkers. Also the bed was super comfortable. The free internet was really fussy but I'm secret happy about that... It kept me from working and I actually relaxed instead. People complained about the noise-- my room faced the freeway above the wall-- I didn't really hear much and put the ac fan on only and I heard nothing-- so that isn't a complaint.
Friendly Staff. Clean, comfortable room with a better breakfast than one expected.
Great location, clean room, friendly service, above-average breakfast, fast WiFi, nice layout. Can't think of any complaints.
The newly renovated rooms and baths are simple and elegant. The Hedley Club lounge serves good food & cocktails. Conveniently located in downtown San Jose, short walk to Convention center. The room lacked many standard amenities: 1) password protected, high speed Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi was free, slow and unsecured) 2) in room safe large enough to fit a laptop 3) stocked mini-bar (empty mini-fridge provided but there were no vending machines or in hotel shop to buy snacks & drinks) 4) in room guide/magazine with local/city info
room service was delicious and fast. Stay was very comfortable. Beautiful large bathroom. Great location.
We loved the late night pantry
The bathrooms were well furnished... Better than the actual rooms. The staff was very friendly. True price I paid was not worth the room. It was a very crampt room with ancient furniture. The rooms were a boring shade of beige and our window view was another building being constructed. It's layout seemed more that of a comfort inn with a price tag of 90 dollars a night rather than 150. It's not worth the price, if you have a car go to a comfort inn and save some money cause got the same experience.
Location Bed was uncomfortable and did not have enough covers shower was outdated and shower head was cheap No coffee station in room Sparsely decorated
I liked that it was downtown close to bars, clubs and restaurants.
Great hotel, room and staff! Got free upgrade upon arrival and an extra 1/2 hour checkout time so we could go to the next door art museum without a hassle.
Clean rooms with feel of knowing they are clean Ac went out. Super hot. Small beds
Rooms Staff at the door
Fancy, various locations to eat and enjoy yourself with partner and great America in a 13 min drive distance just a great stay after all and great valet service Beware of an extra 100$ charge at check in just in case you break anything in the hotel but will be refunded after check out and line is to long with no one trying to help them out to make the line go faster
A property in the Fairmont family. Being in historical downtown next to sites of value. Relying on amenities of a high end hotel which did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful in all encounters. Extra fees for wifi these days seems unnecessary. Having to use hotel cards to go between tower and main facility (although security is appropriate).
Wonderful environment, great Beds close to San Jose Convention Center. Very Friendly Staff, impecible Service.
Walking distance to downtown San jose & Staff was great
Can't really think of anything. 1. Room was dated. 2. Room with a view had no view. 3. Parking was expensive. 4. Hotel had no charm or allure (other than the advertised picture).
