$19 charge per day for guest parking.
The lobby was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. My only negative comment would be that the carpert needed to be cleaned in the room. Everything else in the hotel was so clean that the dirty carpet in the room stood out. But this was very minor and should not deter anyone from staying here.
Very friendly check in. Location for shopping and business meeting was good. Parking fees were comped after reporting an issue with our room not being cleaned during one of the days of our stay. Room had an odor. Room was not cleaned during one of the days as we were missed according to their schedule as a result of having our privacy sign on the door until about 10:00 am. When reported to the front desk, the room was cleaned and we were comped for our parking fees. Parking is $10.00 which we were fully aware of but we question why the extra charge. Our room was located right next to the elevator which we could hear continually. We did not ask for a room change but the next time we book a room that will be one of my requests to not be near an elevator.
Doubles Tree by Hilton Hotel Irvine meet all of our needs. The staff is very courteous!!!
The room was great. The bed was super comfortable. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the servers were fun and friendly. Not too happy that we had to pay for overnight parking- I feel there should have been some sort of compensation for this as a guest. Perhaps free breakfast?
It was clean No refrigerator or microwave
My first encounter was the best impression ever. I believe her name is Mika. She was outstanding and with a warm smile to boot. Very attentive to detail and she was prompt. Excellent job.
Could not enjoy anything because of the parking fee. Mandatory $18 parking fee for all paying guests. What a trap. There is no excuse for a scam like that.
Room was very nice and spacious - (disclaimer: i never stayed at a hilton hotel before) i paid quite a bit for the hotel and parking already but you have to pay for wifi separately per night. They also overcharged me (which they did get corrected). They sent me an email later as a followup, but the email had lots of typos and syntax errors. Looks unprofessional for a classy place.
Desk attendants were very courteous. I wish I was told that the hotel would charge for parking, per day.
Good location. Building is older and you can hear all the neighbors and noise at night.
Outdated, $18 daily parking fee
The hotel was recently remodeled so the interior is clean and brand new.
Allows dogs, modern furnishings, no fee for parking, near airport Pool was closed. $75 dog cleaning fee.
Parking fee and having to pay for internet.
Young man who checked us in was increadable, great young man
Nice, clean place. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. The $18 parking charge was unpleasant. Other hotels in same area don't charge this. The walls are very thin and if you are a light sleeper, will suffer.
Loved the market place and the Dj at the bar in the evenings!
I had a problem with another room being extremely loud and disruptive,, the front desk and security took care of the situation, quickly. Also, the GM comped my valet charges...still not what I expected from a hotel like this.
Pool was great! Lots of space and fun games around the pool. Rooms were nice, good breakfast and fun bar/lounge
I stayed a long weekend here with my friend and the lovely people at hotel Irvine really made us feel like welcome guests! From the complimentary bikes, to the Friday night movie on the lawn, to the friendly and delightful staff, every minute here was relaxing and stress-free. My friend has severe food allergies which the staff graciously and professionally worked arround for her. It really meant a lot to be able to enjoy my mini-vacation knowing that everything we needed was being taken care of. Thank you so much!
Impressive, grand entry, airily quick check-in, comfortable beds, clean shower Music at the bar was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. In addition the check-in attendant never told me details, such check-out time or that a continental breakfast was included ( I had to ask the next morning). They seemed rushed and ready for the next customer. Another issue was non-smoking on a designated non-smoking floor. I smelled smoke as I slept and saw butts on the carpet in the hallway. Lastly, breakfast was limited to toast, cold cereal, yogurt, and hard-boiled eggs.
The hotel is centrally located and six minutes from the airport, making it a great choice if you've an early morning departure or late night arrival. Our room was very quiet. The Marketplace was great for snacks and provided a good selection of tasty foods. The staff was friendly and the bed comfortable. The parking fee of $22-24 per night seems excessive for a suburb like Irvine which is pretty much made of concrete, shopping malls and parking lots. The sink drain didn't work properly, one of my pet peeves in a hotel in any price category and unexpected in this type of hotel.
The grounds, the staff was friendly and helpful, bed was comfy, pool area and 24 hour marketplace were very nice. Paying for parking, odd odor on the different floors, no cold water, half-closed shower door.
Comfort No room service Weird shower stall that is made so its hard to reach handles
TOO LARGE THROUGHT IT WAS A BOUTIQU
I liked the pool, room size, little market downstairs with reasonable prices, location to where I was going and the feel of the hotel. There is a mini refrigerator that you can fill up. I like the concept, instead of an overpriced minibar. The front desk was confused as to when breakfast ended. (We were told 8am which is ridiculous, but it was actually 9:30.) we missed a few days due to thinking we missed it. The carpet and little features could be updated, but for the most part it was clean. We would stay again.
Good hotel, excellent location. Clean and comfortable. The music in the lobby is a bit loud.
We loved our room with a view. Even though the hotel was busy with dance competition and softball teams, our room was quiet and service was great. We will definitely be back soon!
I mostly try and stay at Embassy Suites when I travel. This hotel was clean, friendly staff and great accommodations. Parking at $15 dollars a day seems a little excessive. Other than the parking everything else was good.
Complimentary breakfast, snacks in the evening along with a two hour complimentary beer and mixed drink happy hour free for all. Complimentary shuttle to the very close airport. 7 miles from the beach a running trail about a mile from the hotel that goes all the way to the beach. Shuttle delivered me to my office within the 3 mile max radius. Staff helped with a mildly exceptional request of providing me with a screw driver from maintenance so I could repair my luggage. The key card opens doors with proximity so I could keep my key in my wallet and put my wallet next to the sensor. I should have complained about the heat / air vent. Watching TV it was fine but going to bed it was just loud enough that I slept with a pillow on both sides of my head. Oh and after the two hour happy hour the prices for drinks become a bit unreasonable an interesting strategy they have.
Could hear the service elevator from my room went until late at night and started early in the morning. Loud squeal and banging doors made it impossible to sleep. The front desk offered no help they said it should stop by 11:00 pm which it did not and they did not tell me it would start again at 6:00 am.
Most everything was perfect We would have much preferred to be on the same floor as family we were with!!! We made reservations at least 2-3 weeks prior and requested 2 rooms together. Thankfully we were with young adult and 2 teenagers that could be on different floor but it was u settling and inconvenient
Nice, just recently renovated hotel rooms. Everything was in pristine condition. Comfortable beds, good breakfast (made to order eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal etc). Housekeeping woke us up at 8:00 am. Not happy about that. Also pillows are not that good.
The room was nice. Clean. Comfortable. Parking is an extra $15 ridiculous. Room service dishes sat outside of rooms all day kinda gross. Maid service asked if we were gone yet way before check out kinda rude. 3 candy bars cost us $9 way too expensive
Nice hotel, good service, comfortable beds, great breakfast Hotel is doing construction and they gave us a room directly under the floor they were working on. To their credit they did stop working at a reasonable time and did not start working till 9am.
Clean facilities, comfortable bed and free drinks Expected larger suite for the high price. Few amenities close by
Great overall experience Paying for parking
Staff were great! Love the great breakfast. Great location. Clean and comfortable. We will return! Honestly everything was great!
The staff was very helpful. Our truck did not fit in the parking garage so they made sure there was a spot for us in the short term parking lot for our whole stay. Very friendly helpful staff. Complementary breakfast was perfect way to start our day. Clean nice sized rooms. The location of the hotel was close to everything! Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and balboa all 20-30 min away. Dinning and activities for the family only 7-10 min away. Great hotel!!
The room was big! The pub area was a fun, breakfast and managers cocktail/snack time are always a plus. Gym was small, but worked for my needs. Laundry facility was kind of janky, just one chair, maybe a TV or more than one chair or something would help.

Hotel looks nothing like the pictures. And the continental breakfast is a joke
Not a thing. Very dirty outside and inside the rooms. Some non smoking rooms smelled like smoke. Ash trays just outside the doors of non smoking rooms. Mattresses stacked up by the dumpsters. It says breakfast included..instant coffee and granola bars is not breakfast
when I left everything, had I known what I was booking I would have never made that mistake
There is no designated breakfast area. If the hotel could expand its breakfast cuisine and provide a breakfast area, that would be beneficial.

I had a small issue with the room i was in however the staff was very nice and accomadating didnt give me a hard time about changing rooms. Nice hotel great staff no complaints.
Nothing. Nasty coffee and dollar store muffins are the free breakfast. The bedding was what you would get from the goodwill. Sketchy characters loitering outside.
The best thing was the location and price was desirable. The overall feel of the hotel was unclean. My children identified dirty linens immediately. My wife also recognized heavily stained linen. We chose to sleep on top on the linens and shower elsewhere. I Would not recommend this place.
Location There was no desk. It is uncomfortable to work from a raised counter. The bed could be better. The ants in the parking lot engulfed my car.
Parking is easy. Was a nice place for just sleeping and showering.
The rooms need to be updated.
Clean an beautiful room I did not like paying $32 to valet our car for one night
Quiet room, good gym, nice pool area, friendly staff. Limited food options (restaurant closed for lunch on Saturday), mediocre TV reception (channels and quality), room looked a bit tired.
Mattress was comfy. No self parking option. Valet $32 but half price for hybrid vehicles.
We booked a single King. We got a tiny room with two double beds. Said they were out of Kings. Said they don't guarantee requests for online bookings. We were very disappointed. They did move us the second night but there was a constant banging noise in the vent so we couldn't sleep. We were treated like second class boarders. Parking is $32 a night with no option. The breakfast was not up to Fairmont standards. We will not stay there again.
Below average service Room had a weird smell. Asked reception to change my room and they said that they couldnt. They told me that I would need to upgrade and pay the price difference. Cleaning service were cleaning empty rooms at 10 pm while we were trying to sleep. 32$ parking per night in an area where it should be free. Better options out there. Definitely not returning.
It was all very beautiful, nice comfortable bed. Everything seems nice, new, and fresh. Amazing internet speed. Seems very executive. No where nearby will have free or cheap parking. I paid $30 bucks for parking overnight and $20 for wifi. Room was decently priced, but it was so fancy i didn't want to take the complimentary soaps just incase they'd charge me for that too.
$32/night mandatory valet parking is ridiculous. Other than that, nice place.
The staff was very friendly and they surprised us a an anniversary treat!! The room was beautiful and the bed was super comfy! Valet is mandatory and quite expensive!
$32 for parking! My god.
Got a great deal great location! Be prepared for the $30 parking fee.
The bathroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was just fair.
EVERYTHING was Amazing. The view, service, room service, amenities and the room was perferct We loved everything
the views and the bungalow room was great food service (both in room and at the pool lunch) was slow, inaccurate and not as expected. although the food quality was very good.
Much better than the Ritz @ Laguna Nigel or Montage. Outstanding service
The place is awesome and we really enjoyed it The place is 5stars but the service and the employees are 0 stare
Beautiful resort! Loved our room. Food was amazing! Love the boutique on site. Front desk was great. Had an early check in. Staff overall was very slow and not to experienced when it came to bellman and room service. Every time we called for something we sat on hold for a period of time. Then when we left the resort i couldn't see out of my car windows. I had hard water spots all over my beautiful clean mercedes. The sprinklers covered my car and when i asked the valet to help with windex they looked at me like I was crazy.
Located right by John Wayne airport. Our room was not updated, when we first checked in because we used a third party we received the worst location until we complained. We had to pay $12 parking a day. Our daughter checked in with their team got an updated room and breakfast buffet included. This is our second time at the Atrium, and we won't be coming back.
The location is excellent if you need to be close to the airport. Kurt reception at the desk. Maybe it was my attire as I just completed work, but should that matter? I think not! The lobby area portends to encourage "dayum, this is gonna be nice" but once you walk down the hallways it starts to set in. The drab and dreary decor starts your depressing decline as you close the distance to your room. Once the door opens you then realize they have one of those Hollywood photographers. Shooting all the right angles to make this glorified Super 8 Hotel into a "resort". Plus they charged $15 for parking! The bathrooms were a joke! The shower was a tub as well but was really small. It was like a converted closet. Just odd. But of course I had the "city view" into the adjacent parking lot... Madison Ave glitz in marketing, but skid row in reality...
Close to airport and close to my conference Paying for parking
Pool area and lobby were very nice. They looked like they have been updated in recent years. Staff was great. Check in and out was fast and easy. Very convenient location. Quiet and comfortable. Rooms are getting outdated. I noticed some rusted door nobs. Hate paying for parking even though I could expense it. Not really a resort.
Not much This hotel is a bit old, needs improvements, i.e. broken floor tiles in the public areas, no Kleenex in the room, given false parking information - pricing - and wouldn't make amends... The place is like an aging beauty queen...
Nice pool area and lobby. Easy check in and out process. Fast and responsive room service It costs $12 a day to park. $14 if you valet. Old decor in the rooms
It's close to a project we are working on. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was clean and organized. The biggest disappointments were that there was no free breakfast and parking is $12 a night.
The pool area and friendly staff smell of the room when you first walked in and the furniture and carpet is outdated. They also charge you for parking!
Room was cute. Nice pool area. I booked a standard room the day before we arrived and paid $162 online; when I went to check in they told me that my booking was canceled. My money was deducted from my bank account and I received no email saying my booking got canceled. The guy didn't really put much effort into explaining what happened, he just made me pay for another room again. So I basically had to pay for the room twice... When we first walked into the hotel room, there was trash everywhere from the people before us. The bed was made and fresh but there were towels on the floor, reciepts on the floor, wrappers, and bags everywhere. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were knocked over and the room was pretty messy. I don't like to complain so my boyfriend and I just picked it up ourselves.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Silverfish, low quality furnishings/accessories, rusted drains, rough towels, dirty carpet. Basically a motel 6/budget inn with a nicely renovated entry lobby area. You get what you pay for and definitely worth spending an additional $50-$100/night for better quality experience. Can't recommend this hotel.
I really like the atrium pool area. Very attractive and comfortable Skip the shuttle and just walk across the street.
Nothing ,, Old hotel , the carpet smell really bad with fleas ,, they charge for the parking Sucks.
Very clean, room with internet and service attendants were excellent. The food was very good. Ciomplement the fitness center with more options than what was available.
Breakfast excellent. Free Internet. Good location. Parts of the hotel could do with updating.
Quite for relaxation Nothing I can think off.
Manager on site was very rude and unfriendly ! He never apologized for his behavior nor did he offer a solution
We enjoyed the beds. We had a great night sleep.
Staff, always professional always polite. Pool fantastic, Spa clean and warm. I loved the Bed, super cloud pillow topped, room clean. Bathroom luxury, from soaps to towels good size. 24/7 always staff on hand. Had starbucks in hotel foyer. Blackout curtains kept morning sun at bay. My 71 yr old mother did not enjoy the pillow top beds, suggested they smothered her. Could hear some trucks on highway braking in mornings and night. It is geared for business, so appeared everything has an additional cost per unit.
Good location, since it's close to the airport. Facility is extremely outdated, room was tiny and noisy. Parking is an additional $22 per day, which is robbery. I suggest you stay at the Irivne Wyndam instead.
The layout of the bathrooms and sleeping areas were very good for an extended stay. The bathroom had enough shelf space for toiletries, and the closet and dresser were sufficient for clothes. The layout of the living room and kitchen made it very comfortable. The bathroom does need to have at least one addition towel rack. Hotels now ask that you hang your towel to dry rather than replace it each day - which is wonderful. However, there is no place to hang it... That is a problem. I decided to place my towel on a hanger and hang it in the doorway. Not the best, but it worked. A few more pots would have been nice also. There were enough items for the microwave, but not the stove. A small dish soap would be helpful as well so as not to run the dishwasher for a few items. I used a small bar of soap and a face cloth.
The room was clean and a good size not to big and not to small but perfect for a couple. Staff was very friendly You cloud hear people next door when they were loud
The hotel is clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's a small breakfast/dinner cafe in the lobby, which is pretty decent. It's a business hotel--just a pretty standard place to crash between runs on the hamster wheel. The hotel advertises wired internet, and even advertises it as a feature on an information card in the room, but in truth there is no wired internet. So, caveat emptor on that score. There is wireless internet that works pretty well, but it's unsecured (totally open, anybody can read your traffic.)
everything except the HOT, HOT, HOT weather. could not get hotel room cool enough in face of heat wave (25 degrees above expected temperature).
Very relaxing, wonderful food and brilliant staff. Did not use Spa. Pool was good. We had to move rooms as there was building work on that side of the hotel. Very surprised that they even put guests in such rooms as work started as early as 5am and we did not sleep after that time.
Hotel was beautiful, staff was courteous and friendly. $29/day for valet parking when no public parking was available. This added an additional 10% to the total cost of my stay. Ridiculous.
The Hotel was truly five star, excellent staff and the rooms were great. Good location but you need a car to get anywhere in California. The Fashion Island shopping centre is next door and offers alternative dining options. This was our first visit to Newport Beach and the Hotel was a positive start to a great trip. As with most west coast hotels the parking costs do increase the cost of staying but overall this was a minor issue.
Great location - right across from Fashion Island shopping center. Easy access to restaurants, movies, shopping. Staff was very courteous and friendly. This was my second stay here. I would come back.
Very nice & comfortable rooms Wonderful staff. Very helpful & personable Nothing. All was good
The decor was awesome A little pricy
The location was perfect close to shops, restaurant with easy access. The hotel rooms were very comfortable & roomy. The staff was excellent, exceeded any expectations. My toilet had some trouble flushing but aside from that no problems. Please do not print that for public use.
Nice hotel which is close to PIMCO and Pacific Life Insurance
Excellent customer service. Everything was great!
I think the valet parking fee was too high. There wasn't any options provided to self parking. You had no choice but to pay $32 parking fee.
We come back regularly. The hotel is well appointed and the staff is very professional. Rooms are comfortable and view to ocean side over fashion island is super. Oak Grill Room on the deck for breakfast is a treat.
I really like the feeling of home away from home in this hotel. With the exception of Brenda who is a bit arrogant with a bad attitude, the front desk staff are amazing and accommodating. Fantastic amenities like free washer and dryer, practically a mini grocery store on your honor that you can pay for or have charged to your room. Plenty of parking, relatively quiet and laid back atmosphere. The kitchens are fully stocked with not only the basics but also measuring cup, mixing bowls, extra pot with lid, ceramic cooktop et cetera. All linens are upscale and clean with no stains and not one rouge dark hair (I am blonde) anywhere. Bed had over stuffed sheepskin like mattress cover that was very comfortable. One last thing that is always very important to me... I didn't have to wash my feet before getting into bed, not ever! Now that is clean. Even with all of the amenities I have listed that I like this is after all a 2-star Hotel and it is a bit overpriced. Further, the 20 percent discount offered through RetailMeNot and other reputable sites of the like, are not accepted at all. I could get no break off the daily rate ever. 2 hours on the phone with IHG and it is still a mystery. Counting on that discount is what finalized my decision to stay here while searching for an apartment. Now I'm just further in debt. my feeling on that is a bait and switch which is the fault of the corporation not the facility. I am currently staying on top of my complaint. The shower head is definitely in need of some maintenance to clear out the hard water so the water flows. On only a few occasions I was disturbed by the loud speaking housekeepers outside my door as well as the banging and hitting the walls while cleaning the room next to me. They need to realize that sometimes people work late and sleep late. For the price it should be respected.
room was setup in a unique way allowing 1 person to sleep and another to do work and/or watch TV without being disturbed - ice cold AC was great - toilet and shower were separated which was also nice - good size TV and channel selection - free HBO - easy access to room - plenty of available parking - close to major freeways shower leaked all over the floor due to a bad seal on shower door
We were only there for 1 night and we throughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the hotel; from the front entrance to our room. We loved the complimentary breakfast served in the morning. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Would do definitely go again. Price was also reasonable and we'll worth it.
It was clean, comfy, and helpful staff.
location beds are too old matreses laid down i can fell the spring terrible and stains all over. other people who were staying at the hotel smoked right out side of the rooms door. carpet so dark we didn't know if it was clean or dirty . got to the hotel the bathroom smell like the were smoking in it. ask the girl at the from desk she was nice but when she when to check it on her way down she was taking trash i count hear what she said.
Nice historical building On a train line. Extremely loud.
Staff were nice and friendly. the hotel is run down and the area attracts the less desirable. make sure you keep an eye on your belongings.
Room was very nice. We appreciated having breakfast available included in our nightly fee.
Roomy suite with good beds. Waffle station and Mon-Weds Happy Hour with beer, wine, and decent hors d'oeuvres. Not super clean. Quick surface clean looks good but refrigerator smells (ice maker makes un-usable ice). Dishes not clean - Rewash everything. If you don't see it, it probably hasn't been cleaned in a while.
We were very happy with our experience at this hotel. We especially enjoyed the free, hot breakfast. Be aware, however, that you must belong to the chain's club (free, but you must sign up) in order to have breakfast free.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel - the people were friendly and helpful and courteous. The rooms clean - pool very nice - and the location was great - easy access to several interstates - and it is so near the airport! I would highly recommend the hotel.
Great accommodations for the low price. ALL hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Maids would even speak to you in passing down the hall. FYI, make sure to get a breakfast voucher when you check in! Only ate there for breakfast and it was a great buffet.
The hotel was in really good condition and in a nice neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Next time I go out to Orange County I will be definatly staying here again
I stayed with my wife for 6 days, very good location, nice neighborhood, room is clean and close to rental car booth in nearby hotel. The breafast is excellent, nice staff, the only thing I comment would be the bed mattress feel too soft and not good for guests having back problem. Overall it is a valued hotel I will stay in my next trip to Orange Co..
This hotel offered everything I needed for a short unexpected trip to see my brother. But I had work to do and had to get up early and stay up late and ...you just couldn't get a cup of coffee...other than that...good.
My room was run down. The toilet seat was peeling, breakfast was powder eggs everyday for 2 weeks. Hotel food was at best a 2. (Dinner) bartender was friendly. Exercise room was a joke 2 treadmills , one stair climber and one bike.
Stayed end of Dec. 2007. Great room, bed. Quiet & safe. Only negative comment was that there is only one internet pc available in business center; but there is free connection in your room if u bring a pc. McDonald's is right next door. Easy acces to 405 & airport. Recommended.
This is very clean place. We stayed only one night. Room, Bed and Bath room were very clean. \nNice and clean pool and hot tub. \n \n \nCons: \n \nNo complimentary breakfast. \nMocrowave was not working properly. \nStaff was nice.
Hotel was very clean, great lounge with large TV's for sports, room was large and had 37' flat screed HDTV.
beds comfy, but reservations were for 3 people and we were only supplies in room for 2 as far as coffee cups. Why is it when you have 4 cup coffee makers that every motel only gives enough cream and sugar for 2?Also if you come for overnight, do they not think people are clean enough to take shower before bed and one in morning for fresh towels?? this is true everywhere I stay. but for the most part. I would stay here again. Very friendly people and helpful. All we had to do was ask..
the location was the best part of this hotel stay and it had a full kitchen, as well as the location being close to where we had to be. At first when we got there @ about almost midnight there was a complaint about the noise and the worker was not really worried about his complaint so that worried me...then when we checked in she gave us the wrong room on the wrong floor making a long night even longer...the breakfast was not the best, if you are a cold person you should take more blankets
