The staff. They help you with any kind of problems or questions that you may have.
a/c staff dont clean everyday
location rooms are need to be renovation
twice blocked money from my kredit card for room
the location is brilliant The bed and pillow were very uncomfortable. It was impossible to sleep especially on the side that faces the square because it was too noisy. Windows were not thick enough. I was charged immediately after I made my reservation, contrary to the rules.
helpful staff, well located if one is interested in this district rather than staying in touisty sultanamhet bathrooms need up dating! no english movie channel, need kettle and tea and coffee facilities in the rooms
The location. Its located in downtown Istanbul. Hat disappeared from the room. Took over an hour and a half to do check in. They tried to include a breakfast package that I never hired.
twice bloked money from my kredit card for room
Upgrading my room to better one Nothing
Nothing Yes, the Hotel cannot be a 5 Starts Hotel, im referring back to the Rooom set up itself, (the carper, the bed, the TV, the size fo teh room, the Bathroom...) all were way below expectation.
nice hotel we feel comfort, near to one of the famous shopping street, nice view, and it is easy to go to every where in Istanbul nothing at all
Pool on the roof.
good hotel staff, professional no
Fantastic Location and not so busy!
5 of 5 starsReviewed 1 week ago Our trip in Istanbul was for 6 days, and the idea was to find a hotel with an outdoor pool, to be able to get away from the hustle & bustle and chill out every once in a while. I’ve found that most hotels with pool have indoor pools and Hamam's....which is nice… of course... but in the summer heat, an outdoor pool is more what we need... Some of the high end expensive Hotels seem to have it but we didn't want to spend hundreds of $$$ per night... Anyway, I’ve found and booked the Marmara Pera and wasn't totally sure what to expect. Here our impressions: Perfect location in an upscale neighborhood, 1 minute from the famous walking street Istiklal, between Taksim square and Galata Tower. The building is the tallest on that hill and it gets you the most stunning views without any obstructions whatsoever. We stayed in room 901 and had a fantastic view over the city and river. Best of all was the sunset because the sun would go down right in the center of the window...absolutely beautfiful. The pool on the roof is not big but it doesn't matter because you are overlooking Bosporus river, the old town, the blue mosque, the whole shebang. You can overlook all directions from the Rooftop and again, you are on the tallest building around, so no obstructions. Very friendly & English speaking staff, easy check in Nice Amenities in the room Power outlets that keep charging your devices even when not in the room and key card removed from the main power switch. Our local friend mentioned that the restaurant on the Rooftop is excellent but we never actually ate there. Not sure if the hotel prices were lowered because it happened to be Ramadan or maybe because tourists bought into the terror scare that is rampant ever since 9/11 and stayed away... but we've only paid $80 per night for that room with the sunset view. Btw, there is a metal detector and 24h security at the entrance. I've visited Istanbul before and I think having a view and a central location is really making all the difference. I will come back here and stay in this very hotel. One last thing: download the App called BiTaksi and link it with your credit card. It's like UBER but it's what the locals use over here. I started already at the airport and never waited more than 4 minutes for a Taxi. This way, we’ve never had to hackle for price, got rejected because of the destination, or worse...got scammed when paying in cash... and believe me.... Taxi stories were my worst experience on my previous trips to Istanbul. Love Istanbul, don't get discouraged, help yourself, use technology and Apps to make the most of your trip. Stay open minded, be friendly, stay cool and you will get great things in return. Nothing at all!
well english speaking staff towel were old, extremely noisy at night time. and also bed's sheet were a bit smelly. in general we spend our worth night in this hotel, because we couldn't sleep up to 2;30 at night.
rooms are small and not really comfortable do not value for 150 euro small size beds.
I like the location. The hotel is in the city center. Room has a nice view. The most importantly, I like the people who works at the hotel. People are so kind and friendly. I recommend that you listen their advices about where to go to eat and go out. They know the best restaurants and the places..
The location for shopping cannot be better few meters from Istiklal Str. and 5min to Taqsem Square. Only the cleanness of the room was not up to that level.
the Location in Taksim area evry thing is fine
Great view and great staff. Overall I loved it.
Great view! Exelent location with amazing rooftop and coctails , central ... great choice best view than the galata tower Gym too small
Reading was impossible in bed as bedside light was too dim. This is the reason for the fair rating only for comfort.
hamaam A five star hotel that do not have irons at all ! We were told that they only offer a pressing service at a cost ! A swimming pool that we have to purchase swimming caps for in order to use. The first room we were given had construction outside it and when asked to be moved we were told the hotel is full! Five minutes later we were told they have a another room...
close to center limited facility
Excellent service, excellent approach to the score, so it Should Be Every hotel, all staff in August nalerzy great praise, recommend
The Turkish Spa is a must, clean, relaxing environment and great service. The Hotel Location is also very good, in a calm street, coffee shops are open 24h, in the heart of the city, 3min walking from the centre (Taksim Square). Ideal location in Taksim The Buffet was good and various plates/dishes/ but the quality could be much better.
Nice place My reservation Didn't Reach the hotel which made me make a new one although I have been chrged for it.. A refund process is being done by Kyak.
Very good position close to Taxsim Square. Well run hotel with friendly staff and well appointed bedrooms.
The lobby! They charged the full amount of 4 nights on my visa card before my arrival !!!!!
great hotel, great location in the heart of the down town. really liked it.
They charged me in Turkish currency despite me receiving a quote in euros They charged me in Turkish currency despite me receiving a quote in euros
The view is great, specially on the high floors. Valet parking is convinient. Location is great for those who like busy life day and night that area does not sleep The club intercontinental does not offer much, there is no all day refreshments like other executive floors in other hotels.
Everything was great.Rooms spacious and always clean .The service for the rooms was 3 or 4 times a day and continuous supply of water(free). Reception staff friendly and helpful. An excellent choice for our 5day trip to Istanbul. The shopping center only a few minutes walking away. Although they had been notified for our late afternoon arrival one of the two rooms took one hour to get ready.
Well located and spacious. It is definitively an aging hotel. Was on the 1st floor and the hallway and rooms smelled like smoke even if it was non-smoking.
Location is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms of good size, all amenties are available, resteaurants and food is good. Price is a bit in the high side.
The Spa with Haman was fantastic. The staff was very professional. The restaurant recomendation from the Concierge to a restaurant also on the hotels website. It was very touristy and not level expected. Would have preferred that the hotel had a buffet at dinner.
The room had a lovely view. The person on the enquiries desk was extremely helpful in assisting us in finding a restaurant and booking it for us. I thought the room was a bit small for a deluxe room. I also did not like the fact that they did not have slippers in the room.
It's Location. Air Conditions.
our room view
One of the best None
It might not be brand new but with an unbeatable location next to Taksim square and splendid views of the Bosphorus from almost every room as I found out, this is the best value for a luxury stay in Istanbul. The breakfast is vast, the staff incredibly attentive and courteus and it has one of the best gyms I'vê ever seen at hotels around the world. Highly recommend it Maybe the room furniture is a bit old world style but of good quality
hotel has good location , staff very polite and helpful , speaking perfect english we didnt like the hotel room , it needs renovation , really very old , stains everywhere at bathroom ,we stayed only first night out of 3 .
Very nice hotel It was away from tourist area of old town. But that was not nessessary a bad thing
The location was great. It was accessible to shopping and eating. Some of the people at the front desk we working with the cab drivers to get a cut on the fares when they called the cabs. Try to get your own cab.
Staff were courteous, decor was great, hotel has a warm cosy feel to it Breakfast room - bit lacking in atmosphere.
The staff was friendly, the room not very spacious, but spacious enough and very clean. The hotel is located at Taksim Square; public transport is within a few minutes' walk. We could choose between a quiet room at the backside of the hotel and a less quiet room at the front side. We chose the backside which indeed appeared to be quiet. Breakfast was served on a great roof terrace with a view on the Bosporus.
This is the ideal hotel if you are transferring between Istanbul and either of its airports, as the Havas airport transfer bus drops off/picks up on the opposite side of the street. It is comfortable and clean and has a nice rooftop terrace. The breakfast was pleasant and varied (although served in a windowless basement room).
I Like the style of room in Germir Palas and breakfast. the food for brakfast are very fresh. Also tea is great. There was no problem during my staying.
It was very close to Taksim. Perfect location I guess they cannot improve that but the rooms are small and overloaded. Maybe some redecoration would make the rooms look bigger and more spacy
The hotel in general is good...location, cleanness, staff,,, nothing really is over expectations I would say is a good hotel only nothing in partecular
-Location -Hotel amenities -Staff friendliness My wife and my passports were stolen from me. The hotel was more than accommodating to our needs. They even gave us a discount when we extended our stay.
It's very well-located, if you have to be near Taksim this is the best place. It's close enough to the meydan and to the Metro and buses, but not so close to Istiklal where all of the noise and crowds are. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The Wifi was very slow and kept going in and out, if you're paying $140 for a room you shouldn't have to deal with something even $28/night hotels in Istanbul get right.
Fabulous spa, gym, and pool. Breakfast delivered to my room was amazing and only cost around $20. The service was excellent. I was shocked that the internet and local calls cost extra money. I had to change a booking at a hamam and the concierge changed the hamam time but never re-booked my massage, which I was unable to get as they were fully booked.
I like the stuff
We enjoyed the hospitality, the comfort, breakfast was great, we felt safe with great security in and around the hotel, On Iron, no hairdryer in our room, we are also a custom to having a microwave in hotel rooms in America. I didn't see any of that.
the sutiation very smal rooms
Friendly and helpful stuff , good facilities , nice location in the city..i would stay again if i were to town!
Comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities including a good shower. The decor was attractive and it offered a variety of services. The breakfast buffet was very nicely presented. It is located in easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping areas. Although the room was adequate it was quite small with little walking space or place for suitcases.
I travel extensively, however the staff at The Perra Tulip were outstanding, it was the best staff I have ever dealt with in a hotel. bit pricy for the location, however the staff and service made up for it
Nice hotel for the price. Good location in a nice neighborhood of Istanbul. Breakfast is included which is pretty good. Rooms are quite small and bathroom gets flooded when showering which is annoying.
Staff speak English very poor
The Staff were friendly, willing to help, considerate
its location as well as room cleanliness I asked for two interconnected rooms and what I got is seperated rooms. I was only offered interconnected rooms after two nights of my stay
Lovely hotel , staff is very helpfull , very good location ...
Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, and clean rooms ... Thanks for everything to hotel staff ...
Rooms are designed very well.
The friendly staff, the tasty food during the breakfast, all together was perfect, I highly recommend it The room needs more lighting, the pool was cold and small, the gym room is very small.
Great location, nice pool and sauna, beautiful bathroom and large tiled shower. Friendly staff, but there appears to be only one reservation specialist that speaks english. Hot tub was not working, even after we requested they turn it on. Uncomfortable bed and poor lighting in the bathroom. Rate for last day we stayed was higher than what was indicated when we booked the hotel.
The location is excellent. Only a 30 second walk away from Takseem Square and all the great mom and pop shops \ designer brands. The restaraunts around the area are great as well. The gym is very small. And the location is difficult for Taxis to get to because it's so deep into Takseem.
Friendly,clean, not expensive, excellent service
this hotel is not the same the way it was displayed in booking.com website, they have a service of wi-fi mentioned in the website, but in real there was nothing, the room service is sooo poor , once you have finished your shampoo or any disposable items in the room, they dont prtovide it again. the rooms are really small and the windows cant be open wide and some of them are stuck. the weird thing that they charge from the credit card without your permission before u arrive to the hotel. and first paper will be given to you upon arrival is to sign the payment.
Nice view / well designed room / very clean When we arrived, they proposed to upgrade our room for an extra 10 euro per night. We agreed. The room was very nice but... Temperature in istanbul was around 8 degree C and the air conditionning was broken in the room !! It was freezing in the room and we caught a cold on the second night. They repaired it once but it worked only for one night so, finally, they changed our room on the 6th night We complained for having to pay for an upgrade in a room which was freezing. They were suppose to email us back and reimburse the extra 10 euros for 4 nights (the nights with no heating) out of 7... But they didn't email back and did not reimburse us !
Location was good and central. Hotel was a nightmare!! We didnt get what we paid for! Air condition wasnt working, tv satellite wasnt working, Wi Fi connection wasnt working!!! No refill for shampoo or shower gel or bathrobes (and we stayed for 7 nights). The staff, concierge and Hotel manager were our worst nightmare!!! We asked for a wake up call to the airport they forgot, we booked a taxi for the airport they didnt book it, we booked a sufi show through the hotel and arrived and as usual, No booking!!!! Not only that, they were very rude whenever we inquired about anything!! Seriously the hotel is a nightmare!
Nice new hotel, very well situated in the middle of action but anyhow quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. We had to change the room: The first one on the groundfloor was very nice but in the bathroom it stank of catpiss because of the ventilation. We could change the room without any problem. We were offered 3 (!!!) alternatives to choose. The staff was very understanding and helpful.
SPA Very hot in room, cause couldn't open windows.
Friendly staff, great location, good breakfast (free upgrade ;p) breakfast good be improved slightly - but otherwise hotel was perfect
Everything was really excellent. I loved the breakfast who was so delicate! Maybe the light on the room was poor during the late hours.
For me I like the central location of the hotel, it's near by Istiklal street and the area is filled of shops and restaurants. Also rooms were clean and neat. I got a nice room facing Bosphorus. The only thing that I don't like : some of the hotel staff were Unfriendly and Unsocial, but on the other side there were a very helpful and nice people to the guests.
it was really clean Check-out at 12:00. Should be 2:00 pm
location no a/c, no iron, electric cable hanging in the shower, very dim room
staff, cleanliness ,late check out.breakfast free on early arrival 1-noisy road side ,u cannot sleep bcz a/c is central u cannot control it ,so u have to open window bcz of hot central2-breakfast very poor ,u have to pay for omlet or fresh juice??????????
the location of the hotel is great as it 2 minute from ESTICKLAL sounds of the cars as its so close to the taksim square
The location was excellent near by the most important area ( Taksim) with reasonable price and warm hospitality Poor of food staff and experience on service as it is new hotel
The location and the fast service The confusion regarding my payment procedures
The view from my window. Some of the staff did not have a good attitude. For example: The night before I asked that my room ticket be printed, the mini bar checked, a wake up call arranged and taxi service to the airport arranged. When I called the reception at 0630 that morning for help with my luggage, I was told it was early and they would send someone up in 15 minutes. There was fog out my window and I thought I should leave earlier. When I arrived at the lobby, my bill was not prepared, the receptionist said I drank one bottle of water from the mini bar and had me sign a form when I said I did not; wanted to charge me the conversion rate from US$ to TL and I was not told this when I checked in and gave a $1000 USD deposit on the room and additional charge
The staff is very friendly , the location is excellent .
The hotel staff were very helpful with directions and figuring out the metro and ferry times/locations to get us to our destinations.
the staff were helpfull and polit ,good location ,clean, breakfast was good. the spa was not ready to be in service and the roof restaurant too
hlepful staff, value of money and the location a bit noisy
The location of the hotel is excellent it is at the heart of Istanbul, taksim the wifi is available at the rooms and free, the breakfast is good The rooms is too small, the Majority of the staff can't speak english
Location & morning shift staff are very helpful & kind people unlike evening shift. Room has not enough space & there is no nice view.
Great location …
Helpful front desk. Not much interaction with staff at breakfast, but this might be a language problem.
Location near Taksim was by far the best feature of the hotel. The hotel was clean and safe. The complimentary breakfast was tasty, although you should expect to see the same dishes every day. Our room had water coming through the ceiling, dripping/pouring loudly for the first 3 days of our 4 day stay. We had to make many, many calls to get this fixed, and no comparable room was offered to us. There was no A/C for 1.5 days of our stay.
staff is very polite and the hotel resides in a convenient place. traffic noise + the fact that every morning the staff calls at 7 to wake up you for breakfast
the hotel in general is good with nice clean comfortable rooms. the staff in general were helpful though some were not speaking english. some staff does not speak english
Clean, very helpful staff and very good reliable internet connection ! No English news channels on TV !
excellent service, clean room, good people.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, amazing views from the restaurant/bar. Room was spacious and clean. Very good location. No
in the center of the city, close the everywhere, lovely sea view... breakfast was poor, needs a renovation...
Room and the bar a the last floor Iron was not available after 21:00
The hotel staff were very polit and friendly and room service was excellent. I advise the hotel to debit the visa/master card of the customer as soon as he doese the booking and few days before customer arraival this because the customer might done early booking and has used the funds during the period from booking till arraival to hotel. the towls in thr rooms must be changed after usage
third time I stayed there, I highly recommend this hotel
The room was really nice furnitured and it had an amazing view of Bosphorus (4th floor and above) Pugging was not good, you could hear everything happening in your next rooms. Breakfast had good variety but it could be of better quality
the position perfect not very good breakfast, small room
it was on the istiklal street beyoğlu and it was close to the other places which are imporrtant places of istanbul
Very comfortable beds Great location Good service The anti-allergy pillows are limited and it has a first come first serve policy Internet not always stable for work
The stuff was very helpful and the free internet access too.
Quite and classic No proper curtains for the rooms' windows to block the sun lights. Not so good when it comes to bed covers/sheets cleaning. Bad sewage system smell in some of the rooms bathrooms.
The welcoming and respect I recieved since the first second I entered the lobby of Nippon Hotel till I left to the airport was outstanding. The cleanliness, the unbelievable location, the friendliness of staff was great. The lady who welcomed me at the front desk, escorted me to my room, and presented to me everything in my room. I went immediately outside the hotel and when I came back they left me a plate of fresh fruites and a welcoming note with direct phone numbers of the manager. I went for city trip and though, I spent two full days inside my room. It was worth the money I spent. I recommend it for every one. Not so much of disturbing, but a little noise I could hear from the neighbors. But it was not a big issue.
This is a well-run modern hotel with an excellent location for touring. It has a comprehensive gym and a good breakfast. The staff are friendly and competent. The key people spoke good english. There are many restaurants around it. It was easy to get to major tourist sites using the funicular and tram. The Metro to major modern shopping malls (recommend Kanyon at Levent) is close by. Only minor criticism is that our room lacked clothes storage for longer stays (ie no drawers) but plenty of hanging space.
i liked the stuff and your hospitality i didn t like the room it was clean but small and no back for the bed and it has to be more cute
Good staff with a positive attitude. Nothing
The service was excellent. We had a friendly and personal welcome at the check in where a special concierge presented hisself as our personal contact person who helps us booking restaurants, tours, etc. But also the rest of the staff we met was very friendly. We had a corner room which had a nice view because of large windows and very comfortable place to sit.
The hotel is in walking distance to Istiklal street & Taxim square the main shopping areas of Istanbul. The rooms and bathrooms are neat and clean. The staff is courteaus, polite & helpful. Though the hotel is located on a side street but yet it was a bit noisy due to the traffic, and loud music played in the Clubs & Pubs nearby the hotel.
A nice real 4-stars hotel. Staff is great. Comfotable room. Nice decoration. Good location (5 minutes walk from Taksim/Istiklal/undeground). Overall: 7 to 8 out of 10. Noise, Prices, and Room/Bath size.
The location was excellent. The room had clean and reasonably new furniture. The treatment and behavior of the hotel staff was average. They should behave more friendly when disagreements exist. Also, the housekeeping should be done more thoroughly when done daily rather than just a quick unorganized cleaning.
Nippon Hotel really was a good choise. This place was amazingly cosy with a really fantastic staff. The location of the hotel was easy to manage as well. By my mind it is a place where one would like to return again.
hi the location is very nice at the cener of taksim sequare avry thing is available like metro , tamway and bus it is not suitable for family because the bed is saperat
The view from the restaurant is spectaculair! For tourists the location is suberb. The hotel is situated directly at the Taxim square which, obvioulsy, gives some rumour of the traffic in front..
Location, nice views Poor air conditioning, noisy duct just outside window.
The room was large, clean and very comfortable, the staff were very kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is in a central place, on a very lively square. Unfortunately, the square is very noisy. A better acoustic isolation of the room from outside noise should be warranted.
We close to the main street, you can find easily a Taxi. The air condition was not working well, If you are opening the balcony its getiing a bit noisy.
Price for the Location. Air-conditioning was not working in the whole of hotel and it was the same in 2 rooms I stayed in on different dates and the staff was not willing to accept that the air-conditioning is not working. If one is not able to sleep due to the room being warm and noisy then what is the use of any thing else.
staff was very good as usual unfortunately they were going to reform in few days the building so some service was not available
i don't like the hotel , they give room without Air conditioner and leaking water not good service , not clean room , they can not speak English very will
The suicide bomb that went off outside on 31st October. Also rooms very hot according to my daughter
Didnt have blankets in the room, the room service took forever until they bring one, still it was thin.
