Neighborhood, near everything
The location of the hotel and quality of rooms is great especially anyone spending multiple days in Lima. However, the service by each of the employees we came in contact was outstanding and certainly makes the Marriott name shine in Lima.
I'd just like to take this opportunity to publicly give my thanks to Juan Jose, the young bell man who took the time to kindly grab our luggage, welcome my wife and kid, and show the functionality of the room to them while I stayed in the lobby checking in. The first thing my wife said was: "Wow!! that young man really went above and beyond helping me and made me feel at home." Additionally, Priscilla, lady at the concierge desk, was very attentive and knowledgeable to accommodate our transportation and reservation needs while in the hotel. Even though, we only stayed one night (Sunday May 29th, 2016), we experience and saw enough from the hotel and staff that would makes us go back and stay at the JW Marriot Hotel Lima. Cheers
Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Bedding and towels were very soft. Very practical bathroom toiletries. Bar with live music was great. Cost and fee for wifi.
Wonderful service, beautiful hotel, location and views. Bottled water provided free and unlimited. Gym was FABULOUS! Shower door leaked, charge for wifi in room, coffee/expresso machine pods not restocked daily. But were provided after request. Bar drinks and breakfast buffett were overpriced.
location to airport was great bathroom smelled like mildew. beds were hard. Not supposed to drink the water, but had to pay for water in room. had to pay for coffee in room. good breakfast. excellent location next to airport, but pricey. staff very accommodating, held some luggage while we were traveling. it looks like they charged us for the room, even though we paid through priceline, so we'll have to check that out. (they took our credit card for incidentals, but my husband didn't notice that they charged us for the room)
It was a nice convenient hotel to stay at if you have a early flight. Staff very helpful expensive for a short stay
Procimity to aiortr Not anything
Only the location, right at airport. Sketchy hallways and not so clean room, especially for the price.
Location, convenience close to the airport Overpriced
Location, attentive staff. The gym could be better ... and easier to find. Breakfast is only for the American taste (but adequate).
Great airport location if you need to spend the night to catch a flight the next morning. It is not luxurious. Simple clean and comfortable.
Location. It is right in front of the airport. I requested "Junior Suite", but they don't have such a Junior suite at all.
Been near the airport.
Proximity to the airport meant no hassling with taxis and Lima traffic. It was noisy. Sirens and car alarms all night. Porters in the corridors noisy with banging doors.
The main attraction is that it is right at the airport - there is a walkway from the terminal. Also, the hotel is well-maintained, has a restaurant, gym, pool, bar, all the basics. The staff is helpful and speaks English. I would be happy to stay there again. Being on the airport grounds, it is not particularly easy to get around anywhere else. Therefore, it is best for people passing through.
Nothing This was the worst. I made my reservation through Kayak, received a "confirmation" code and all for nothing. When I arrived at the hotel I was at the check in area for 4 hours. They never found my reservation. I had to pay for a whole new reservation at the spot cause I just couldn't take it anymore. Do not book this hotel through Kayak EVER. BOTH THE HOTEL STAFF AND KAYAK ARE RESPONSIBLE and a disgrace.
Like the previous poster... get the Tower room. The service/rooms are not as upscale, but for the price you can't beat it.
Used the ATM in the lobby, and my card info was robbed. Later, unauthorized withdrawals. Be VERY careful.
We stayed 1 night at this hotel. Should of been 3 but we ran like hell. Its a tiired dirty old smelly hotel. How it stays part of the Sheraton is beyond me. Its a complete garbage can. Stay there at your own risk!!
Absolutely the best hotel in Lima. The rooms have amazing views and the staff is extremely helpful.
This hotel is located in the downtown area of Lima. It was very loud with honking and street noise and I was up on the 10th floor. I preferred staying in the Miraflores area of Lima. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a pleasant experience in Lima.
Great hotel, but expensive. It is located in a very busy site of Lima, the only transportation is by taxi, walking is not very fun. They extended my staying for 8 hours, because my plane was departing late, and they charged me for the 8 hours, not for a new day or half of a day, which it was very nice.
GOOD LOCATION. BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS OK THE ODOR IN THE ROOM WAS ALMOST UNBEARABLE, HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS TWICE, AND IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE CARPETING IN THE WHOLE HOTEL. ADD THE HUMIDITY OF THE CITY AND YOU'RE BREATHING FUNGUS TROUGHOUT YOUR WHOLE STAY. IN GENERAL THE HOTEL NEEDS MAINTENANCE AND REMODELING. FOR ONE NIGHT AND NEXT MORNING UNTIL 11:00AM WE HAD NO HOT WATER! STAFF WAS NICE BUT THEY SEEMED UNMOTIVATED, NOT OVERLY NICE, EXCEPT FOR THAT VERY SWEET CHOCOLATE LADY.
From the moment you are welcomed by the doorman Andres and Alfredo . To the front desk Daniel and his crew . All were incredible . Great breakfast , again service is a ten . Housekeeping is immaculate . You can walk anywhere in ten minutes . The office center is staffed by a woman named Brenda . The reason i know the names of the staff is everyone is so helpful. I live in Maui Hawaii and have to travel six months a year . This is in my top five business hotels across the world . Get the junior suite its worth it The carpet is shohing age in the rooms
The hotel did not have my reservation. As a result I had to pay twice for my stay, a total of $1,800.00. This will be the last time I book with kayak. The hotel staff was not concerned at all with helping me resolve the issue.
It's Location No a/c at temperatures of mid 30's degrees celcius. Reception staff not very informative
great location, great budget option for this location, safe, well run proffessional staff, online booking and communication only one very minor thing: the smell of the cleaning agent was over powering
Room is very clean and comfortable ,it's make me feel like home.Great signal free wi-fi in room. Staff are really helpful. Great location no air conditioning.
The hotel is quite nice but the room was very dingy and depressing although clean.
Had comfortable large twin beds. Not a very good breakfast selection, no alarm clock in the rooms.
The garden in front of the gound zero bedrooms. Good intercontinental breakfast (for the price/room).Cleaness. The rooms in ground zero (we asked because there's no elevator) are humid and have a strong smell to humidity (not dirty, though). But we had to pay extra 3 dolares for a small heating (wich solved the smell of humidity problem). However, the hotel should have compensate the unconfortable smell with free heating.
My Granddaughter and I recently spent a week in Peru and stayed at the Sonesta Posada Miraflores Hotel. What a perfect choice we made when booking the hotel! It is centrally located in a very nice area with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel room was very nice. We each had our own bedroom with plenty of space to move around. The room was very clean and room service was very quick to bring us whatever we needed. There is a small cafe in the hotel where we ate breakfast every morning. The attendant was very helpful and cleared the dishes promptly. The food was very good and gave us a good start each day. We would highly recommend this hotel.
We had a bad bed the first night--too hard. A comfortable replacement arrived within 30 minutes. Very helpful and appropriate.
The staff was exceptional. From arranging car services to helping extend checkout times to overall kindness I couldn't give better marks. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. If I return to Lima I won't even look for another hotel! Mike Seattle WA
Club lounge has become a children's playroom, excellent staff, terrible patents
Comfortable room, beautiful neighborhood, excellent breakfast Bit off the beaten path for going out/night life. Otherwise a great location.
great service; wonderful breakfast buffet; convenient transport to/from airport (for a fee but safe!); good location for "away from it all", more local feel of a nice area of Lima;excellent restaurants nearby.
Everything. San isidro neighborhood is a residential place, so you don't have crowded streets. You have a supermarket one block from the hotel. The staff is amazing. Free parking. I had food poisoning on my trip and they took care of everything calling ambulances and preparing all the food i ask for my illness
The hotel room was spacious and well cleaned. Staff were really helpful and many spoke English. The hotel offers a lot of amenities that American hotels offer like a gym, laundry service, etc. It was really close to a supermarket and ATM which was really handy - quick access to water, groceries, and money. The hallways have a kind of funny smell and our bathroom smelled pretty bad. We asked them to switch our room because of the smell but they preferred to try and fix the smell. It improved but lingered for the duration of our stay. The breakfast that was included was satisfactory but I feel like for the money that was spent it should have been more expansive. For example, plain scrambled eggs are included but there's a charge for adding ham or cheese. I've had better breakfasts at a lot of budget hotels.
Excellent food, friendly staff, clean & very comfortable.
the hotel is located close to the central part of Miraflores so its easy to get oriented to the area. The airport pick up was great, right there when we arrived. They say the rooms have wi fi but we could never get it to work in the rooms, only the lobby. Staff are okay but don't go out of their way...They were out of standard rooms and put us in a larger room but charged us the larger room price without us knowing that at check in, when I could much more easily have pulled out the room reservation paperwork.
Cheap booze Freezing cold, no heating in the middle of winter
like being in a museum room not all that comfortable
The rooms were fantastic and the location was good. We booked the hotel based on reviews of good wifi since my wife had a couple of online meetings during our trip. The wifi did not work at all the night of the first meeting and the staff was of little help and did not let us use the computers they had hooked into a land line despite there being more computers than people working. We were fairly upset about the situation since it was quite literally the only reason we booked the hotel at all. he following nights the wifi was also pretty bad, but at least we got through my wife's other meeting. If you want a nice place, it is great. If you need wifi, try somewhere else.
The rooms were very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was very helpful too
This hotel was such a great value. It was walking distance from parks, the beach, the Larco Mar shopping center, and the Indian Market. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a reasonable breakfast included and a restaurant on site with tasty food and 22 kinds of pisco sour. The decor in the rooms was minimal, but clean and bright. In the common spaces, it was clear the family who owns the hotel had taken great care to decorate with antiques, vibrant colors, and interesting fabrics that honored the hotel's history as a former mansion. I didn't love Lima, but I did love this hotel. I would stay here again without question. The family intends to open a new hotel in Cusco. That should also be worth checking out! The walls are a bit thin, so there wasn't much privacy in the bathroom. The hotel is also about an hour from the airport (~50-60 soles for a taxi). This is to be expected, though, if you want to stay in Miraflores. It's just worth noting that this isn't a hotel you would stay at if you have an overnight stopover.
very peaceful in a big city
Cheap restaurant and drinks Freezing cold, no heating
Good location in Miraflores, good secure hotel with helpful staff. Free internet use in lobby area. Good sized rooms.
Friendly, intelligent service from the time the porter took my luggage to the room. The wi-fi worked superbly. Room was comfortable--wish I could have stayed longer! The location was quiet, but just down the road the busiest commercial streets in Miraflores were open for all sorts of purchases and services. NO
Good and large bed. Excellent breakfast choice and excellent breakfast room. Good location near to shopping district in Miraflores Noisy room for two reasons: located at the back of the very noisy elevetors, and one floor up from the swimming pool with terrace where two american ladies had a quite noisy conversation after midnight; limited parking lot, with too limited space for the average car.
decent place, but perhaps a bit tatty around the edges to be considered a true international hotel. That said, the location - both in Miraflores and within the district is excellent. If you want to hit the casino, the two best - Fiesta and Atlantic - at weithin 1 block. If you want to dine in at the hotel, resist the urge as there are numerous restaurants within blocks that are are miles ahead. The staff was excellent and to our surprise honest in assessment of restaurants, etc. Overall, not bad but not 4 star, either.
Great location and staff was very heldil with internet problems I had that has nothing to do with the hotel. Great free breakfast No visitors to room seemed juvenile
Location, quality, staff, view
Very comfortable bed. Fantastic restaurant setting on the 21st floor
Great value and fantastic place to stay in a safe and the nice area of Sa ISIdro. The hotel staff were very freiendly and helpful in so many ways. The free breakfast was incredible! Would definately book at this hotel again.
The large room, very clean and great shower.
Spacious, clean, well appointed rooms, courteous staff, quiet location, good hot/cold water pressure, internet works well. Room soundproofing not so good, especially if you have a conjoined room.
The hotel was very nice, especially the starff. It is located in a very nice section of town near some very nice restaurants.
The rooms were spacious, full cable tv. jacuzzi in the bathroom, VERY clean. The breakfast buffet (included) was excellent The dinner was very good but too expensive and the service was VERY SLOW!!
Location of the hotel excellent in the heart of San Isidro a very nice neighborhood in Lima Peru. Very nice reception service, I'm bilingual. Breakfast accomodate my style and taste: lots of fresh fruits, breads, eggs etc. Rooms are very quiet and clean.
No complaints. The staff was friendly and courteous. Great neighborhood around many embassies. Rates competetive to everything else in San Isdro and Miraflores. Short walk or cab ride to : the fountains, archeological sites, the beach and down town. This says it all. We checked out and were loading into the cab. In the time to load bags into the cab, the staff had already done a once through the room and found the point and shoot camera my brother and I had missed when we had done our once through. They got the camera to us even before we had gotten into the cab ourselves. The beds are rooms are quite spacious. While not on business, they appeared to have all the amenities for the business travel : spacious area to hang suits, desk, iron, etc.
The rooms very very nicely appointed and very spacious.
