Excellent location on the main avenue. Refreshing pool on the 19th floor. Staff was adding tips on our bill after we signed it.
Staff is really friendly, courteous and care for your needs. Internet service is a bit poor in some areas of the hotel.
They charged me the two nights i stayed in advanced. The restaurant they recomended me wasn't good. Te painting of the lavatory and bathtub wasn't in good conditions
Overall the facility is a good quality and located well. The room did not over look Reforma. The room faced the rear of the hotel...
Extremly good service, nice & competent people at the desk, restaurant & room-service. Comfortable bed. We'll go back longer to enjoy the live music! Good location. Bathroom & shower need up dating.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant buffet options. Great location. Really nice outdoor patio seating. 24 hour gym. Room door to hallway had a noticeable gap under it. I could hear people in the hallway rather clearly, so I imagine they could also hear me. I was gone most of the day, and in the room alone on business so it didn't bother much. I imagine I would have felt very differently given other circumstances. Also, I'm not sure AC temp was just for show. The first night at 76*F felt almost the same as second night at 65*F
Location Service very slow, room and bathroom not clean
AC don't work even after the tech adjusted it. This is my 2nd stay in a week where this has happened
Everyone that we encountered with questions or request was friendly and helpful.
Once inside the room, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. You can feel safety with the service provided. The check in computer system was always not working properly and even with the clercs were working hard there always was a long row of people waiting to be checked in. You would be lucky if you could check-in in less than 40 minutes. But there were a number of people claiming Someone else was already staying in the room you finally got. There was a day when more than ten people were overbooked and claiming for hours. The electric key was broken, sometimes it worked, but gets broken again, and usually you have to wait about 7-8 minutes for someone to come and open your room.
The pool and gym are very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is very central in the downtown so the surrounding neighborhood does not have much charm. The facilities were great except the fancy elevators.
It was clean. Room service was excellent. The staff adjusting A/C controls when cleaning.
I really like the attention to detail by the staff of the hotel, room service was prompt and the front desk was very helpful. Also the hotel itself is nicely upgraded.
Everything was clean and very luxurious. Blackout curtains will let you sleep in as much as you want. Loved the huge bathroom and shower. Great location for tourists close to downtown. No fridge or ice machines (to be fair, the hotel staff will bring you ice if you call). Hard to get to by car due to street closings.
Staff is slow and sometimes unresponsive.
The Location. The second day after our arrival we returned to our room and our room was not clean.
It was in a good location, the rooms were clean and the esthetics of the hotel were nice. The service from check-in was horrible. The staff were pretentious and not helpful. They were not friendly and had an attitude of getting the job done at the very least effort. If asked to do something mundane, like giving you change for a bill, it was obvious they were irritated. We had issues with the ATM, which ended up eating up our ATM card and the staff said they were not responsible and didn’t offer any help; not even to call the bank in charge of the ATM. The elevators were really slow and the check in line was really long.
Accommodating staff, friendly. The hotel is very clean. They have a Nesspreso coffee shop. Great views of the city from our room. Close to Bellas Artes, el Angel and the revolution observatory tower. Overall it was great!!
Clean, quite, modern, well located cold environment.
access to airport terminal is great, no cab needed. You just walk across a bridge so it makes it easy to get in and easy to get out.
Beds were comfortable, shower hot, doormen and luggage guys very nice. Location very convenient to airport. Very disappointed daughter when found out pool was closed for maintenance....also ridiculous that a "nice" hotel charges extra for internet and refrigerator is locked up tight unless you call for a key. (When i mentioned the pool to the desk staff at least they gave us "free" internet access. ) The hotel restaurants were crazy expensive- a $20 personal pizza? Not even a continental breakfast nor coffee included with room. I thought the name Camino Real guaranteed a certain quality or luxury, but not so impressed.
Having stayed in this hotel a number of times before (mostly because of its convenient location) by and large the hotel exceeded my expectations. It has been recently renovated, and the result is very good. My room was impeccable and in excellent condition, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom amenities well above average. The only thing I don't like is the lack of free Wi-Fi and the price of food in the La Huerta Cafe.
Overall, the hotel was clean, easy to get to, and staff were very welcoming upon arrival. Our room had a comfortable space for us to sleep and shower the next day. Our room was provided with a bucket for ice, however, I was unable to find an ice machine on my floor.
A great location if you have an early departure! Location!
Only Closed to Airport Horrible Service, Very unfriendly Staff, very poor trained Personnel, very poor value for money charged !!! Definitely not recommended for any stay if there are other options!!!
It is physically connected to the airport (Terminal 1) by a short walkway which makes it very convenient for an otherwise chaotic Mexico City airport No coffee maker in the room which would have been a small addition. Also, not related to the hotel but rather the airport: this hotel is only connected to Terminal 1 but all Aeromexico/Delta flights operate out of Terminal 2 which is something like 3 miles away. There is an "AirTrain" connecting the terminals but it was not functioning. This forced me to take what is, basically, a public bus between the terminals which would be fine with the exception that they, literally, charge you MX $14 pesos to take you there and I did not have them in local currency. BIG HASSLE and completely unjustified. Shame on the airport administrators!!!!
Well located for an airport overnight. Helpful, friendly staff. The room had a slight smell of mildew and the windows do not open. We turned off our A/C unit which seemed to help. It's the kind of place where drivers and bellhops are eager to take your bags from you and carry them short distances for you. I didn't have any cash on me and there were three times just on our arrival and check-in where I felt I should have tipped someone.
Price was spot on. Breakfast for every budget. Great staff very friendly. I would stay here again.
The location is the main reason we always return to the Camino Real. It is at the airport, so there is no need for taxis nor any worry about traffic.
Not as expensive as the other 2 hotels directly connected to the airport, easy access, quick check-in. The hotel itself looks and feels dated, however this is absolutely secondary
Great view from 39th floor room, nice bed, good bathroom Hotel Management feels and acts a bit "stingy"
Rooms clean, big. Staff were excellent
Location, attentiveness of staff and feeling of security were as expected.
Attentive staff, great location in the best part of town, newly renovated comfortable rooms, great value. Dining options were not commensurate with a 5 star hotel.
We enjoyed the room, once we'd upgraded to the renovated rooms. The regular rooms are dingy 1980s style, but the newer ones (for $30/night more) are very nice, if a bit small. Great views on the upper floors. Close to the museums and a few restaurants. Polanco is a fairly good district to hang in if you're new to Mexico DF. The taxi services they provide are outrageously priced. Don't take them; just wait downstairs for someone to get out of a regular taxi and take it (tell the driver to turn on the "taximetro" if he doesn't). The closest metro stop isn't a very useful one. The lobby is a big slab of concrete, although the statues are nice. The regular rooms they'll put you in initially are nasty, especially for the price, then you have to pay $30 to upgrade. They didn't find my toiletries bag that was accidentally left in the room. :(
Very nice and safe location. Close to city centre. Good place for children too - 5 mintes walk to the park and zoo.
personalised service on executive levels, fantastic staff, great food, great location, choice of tours available, very quiet, great room
The staff there was amazing. The friendliest maids and all the staff there always super accommodating. I would definitely return there! It's also very close to all the cool parts of Polanca.
Great hotel staff and service.
great location, very nice staff at check in. I attempted to work out in the gym and could not because I did not have a pair of tennis shoes. Asked to rent a pair and was offered an old pair of shoes that had been washed so many times they were at least 3 times smaller than the stated size. Asked if I could walk on the tread-mill will rubber soled shoes and told that I could not. From what I could see it was a very nice facility wish I could have used it. When I travel especially internationally I only take what I can take in the cabin. this should be recognized as the norm in todays setting and accomdations should be made. I know they do at the JW Marriott two doors down. also the price quoted did not include all the taxes that added up to almost 60 dollars more a night.
The hotel staff was great. They truly seemed to care and I loved how secure and safe I felt. The hotel is in a great location and I truly loved my time there.
Please write at least 15 words location staff cleanliness design. Service The Benkay restaurant
exellant service. good location near the park and all the important musiums. very comftuble and big room.excelent business lounge.very good varaety of restorants at the hotel.
Hotel is in a great location adjacent to walking trails in park and nearby restaurants, bars and shopping. Hotel is modern, beautifully appointed and very spacious. Rooms are scpacious as well and modernly appointed, very comfortable. Hotel has several axcellent restaurants, shops and services. It is a complete hotel with all the amenities required of the business or leisure t raveller.
The location was good. The accomodations good, but somewhat dated. The hotel is massive, very large public spaces. A number of the public rooms were too loud to allow conversation.
Outstanding Architecture Excellent staff and service Poor maintenance, specially on rooms / bathrooms Internet service not free anywhere in the hotel and not working properly Poor amenities in the room
Comfortable bed and the food @ the China grill was excellent. I couldn't check out because the line was too long and I would have missed my plane. I waited in line to check out for 255 minutes and finally had to leave. When I left there were still 7 people in front of me in line!
I stay here every time i go to Mex city for Travel. We appreciate the saftey of the hotel
Very pleasant, homely atmosphere and strategically located 1.Loud music, at the bar near the reception. 2. Difficult, and lack of promt assistance, in accessing into internet service in the hotel rooms.
I have stayed there several times throughout the years and will definitely come back. Magnificent arquitecture of Legorreta
the public areas of the hotel The rooms are terribly old and in need of renovation. I will not stay at his hotel until this happens.
It is spacious, with excellent service The plumbing fixtures in the bathroom require maintence. The shower did not provide a good spray, since half the water esaped to the bath filler.
Huge buffet for dinner and breakfast. Loved that there was a restaurant and bar, as well as 24hr room service available. Great location to the airport - we walked! Room was slanted - the whole room and floor we were on for that matter was slanted - gave us vertigo!
It was convenient for staying in between flights. I was unable to adjust the heat in the room and felt too hot all the time. I think you should have directions for adjusting the thermostat posted in the room as the adjustment I made seemed not to work. I also found the noise of its fan a little aggravating.
Very close to the airport and the metro, easy to get anywhere in Mexico City from there. The prices for the breakfast and room service was pretty high
We liked the willingness of the staff to help us. It was good. Thank you.
closenest to Aeropuerto. nignths, weather is cold enough, but they dont have heating system.
Clean and comfy rooms Seemed to have poor customer services skills at the restaurant area.
Breakfast was included in the rate. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. They made our stay pleasant. Transportation to airport was very satisfactory. I would go back again. The bathrooms could be more modern but satisfactory
Thank you for comfortable stay. I will always recomend your hotel in case someone of my friends or collegs is coming to Mexico
Fast and convienent.
RESERVATION WAS CONFIRMED ON THE WEB I GOT TO THE HOTEL AND RESERVATION WAS NOT THERE HAD TO PAY WALK IN PRICE
clean hotel , friendly staff no refrigerator
Fast and efficient to wait overnigth for another flight.
everything was ok.
Beautiful building. Room beautiful as well, though a little tiny. Good position in the center of Reforma. Staff can't speak english.
I liked the location, the confort and good price. No, all was good.
2 lifts, big tv, bathroom having all requirments
The location was good. The hallways are too small, the rooms are really small and tight, there was a cockroach in my room, the internet did not work one of the days we were there.
When you read breakfast included you think you'll get a continental breakfast, but it was excellent. It had fresh fruit, juice, good coffee, waffles, pancake, cereals, different regional dishes, quesadillas. It was a treat. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is amazing. Located centrally and only a few miles from the historical center. The Zona Rosa is walking distance and is fun. Saul on the reception desk is AMAZING and will give you the low down on what to do in Mexixo City. Saul made my stay! He is fantastic. There are so many excursions you can go on bookable at reception. I recommend the Pyramids and Taxco. The hotel bar and restraunt is ok but there are better places in the area to eat and less expensive.
Good location! Confort is a great point there! Small room.... But Oks...!
The location is the best feature of the hotel, it was clean. The rooms were not comfortable.
this hotel place is useful. near the city. room is clean. hotel to airport about 20 dullar by taxy.
Rooms were nice and good lighting for work and bed very comfortable - best part was superb breakfasts very surprised that there was no bar in the hotel and the area behind the hotel is not so good
Good location and the rooms were quiet and a good size. Food was good and service was very quick and efficient.
rooms are quite and excellent matrass ,and the athmosphere is very pleasant.
Central location, comfortable room Hotel staff not up to 5 star standard
Staff were nice, helpful and courteous.Hotel is luxurious, safe and in an excellent location in the city center. It's outrageous to be charging 14USD for wireless internet.
Great location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Very clean room with a great view. Spacious room. Very noisy ventilation system. The fan in the ventilation system made an incredible racket. Staff said it could not be fixed though they tried. Lights in the bathroom were delayed fluorescent bulbs which made being in the bathroom a dark experience.
helpful staff, good sized rooms and not too expensive well the taxis they recommended or hauled from the door tended to be more expensive than the taxis on the street- as in dramatically more expensive.
Very close to perfect. Located close to the historic center, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel has a selection of nice restaurants on the premises which is ideal when you don't feel like wandering out after dark. Hotel staff is very friendly and competent. Although it seems to become more and more customary, I think that a hotel of that category should not charge extra for WiFi - this is a bit akin like charging extra for the water to take a shower.
All you can expect from a 5 stars hotel, including great breakfast. The only missing thing in my room was a 220V outlet.
Clean & the availability of the good foods.
Good location Wifi did not work until around midnight of the night that I was there. Hot water in the shower didn't work either.
Great location, good value, clean facilities, quiet, friendly staff
The price and confort offered. Cofee or tea in the hall negar the room No thing .
everything was excellnt
I like the caring of the personal a breakfast should be a minimum to offer for the price
staff, location, comfort
Very friendly staff, excellent quality room, very comfortable bed. Busy road intersection but convenient for park and museums. Much better than staying in the centre of the city lack of outside space or lounge to relax in.
nice big room, early check in was possible, amazing view at the wellness center, nice view towards the park and the castle not all staff was understanding Englisch, high price at the spa though part of the jacuzzi was not working
I like restaurant and room amenities, great view fo Chapultepec castle, excellent room service.
I liked everything. Location, friendly staff, excellent service.
The restaurant is serving food with very good presentation. Our room was heading towards the backside of the building and having some noises of the AC.
I was in a business travel and I need my invoice according with the Mexican tax rules and they didn't give it to me, the argument was because I bought with Kayak
I liked the location, the viewes, friendly and helpful staff. n/a
The hotel is located in a great location. The staff was great. The rooms are small.
Location. Staff members were very accommodating and did successfully resolve a major problem with noise. There was a terrible problem with noise late one night due to needed repairs. This should not have happened; an alternative should have been found., and conflict avoided.
Best view of Zocalo, the front desk staff were very professional and accommodating. The free water bottles and apples were quite welcoming. Rooftop restaurant did not have a bar, you have to order and sit on a table to drink. I paid the most expensive mojitos I ever had $24 dollars for two to be exact plus tip for the waiter. The room I had was tiny with a 1foot by two slim overhead window, quite claustrophobic for me... The breakfast buffet was $24 dollars, really! You walk next block to Restaurant El Popular and order their menus for less than $6.
location, comfort of room The website states this hotel has an airport shuttle - incorrect
Fantastic location in the heart of CDMX. Excellent service. Professional and personable staff work hard to make your stay enjoyable. Lovely boutique hotel.
The rooms at the Zocalo Central are well accommodated and well maintained. The staff is phenomenally helpful and friendly, and the roof-top cafe has an unbelievable view of the national cathedral and central plaza below. For sightseeing purposes, one can't beat the location, which is merely steps away from the cathedral, Palacio Nacional, and the city's archeological site.
The wonderful location. Nothing
Holiday Inn Zocalo is located on Constitution Plaza and was an excellent location, especially for those interested in history. The surrounding area is also a major shopping area. On Our first stay we had a room that the toilet didn't flush and the plumbing generally was poor. Our second stay, a few days later was much better. We wondered, not for the first time, whether internet bookings tend to be given lower grade rooms.
Super friendly staff and great location. Need more sound proofing walls, you can hear your neighbors conversations.
The hotel is a gem. It is centrally located, very clean and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and helped us out with getting around the city. As soon as you walk in they make you feel welcomed. They greet you with a smile and a glass of authentic horchata or jamaica. Love it!! The evening guest services provides us with suggestions for excursions, which we took advantage of. The restaurant buffett was a bit overpriced. It does provide a great view, so that's what you mainly pay for.
Location, location, location - the old heart of Mexico City
the easy access in the airport and the quietness even near an airport. the dryness in the room.it lacks of humidity.
It is well located in Terminal 1 (close to check in for KLM, Lufthansa etc.). They offer free wifi and the bed was huge.
the staff are very helpful and polite house keeping was a bit slack. We went out and arrived back room on 2nd day at 7.30pm and the room was not yet made! we called house keeping to make the room and went out for dinner. When we got back, there was no replacement of tea/milk set nor stationary and the contact lens solution on the sink disappeared. We tried to launch a complaint but the staff in general could not understand English very well and we were not able to recover the contact lens solution, which was very inconvenient because we could not get the same brand in a foreign country. We did not know whether the cleaning lady took it or threw it away by mistake. In either case, it was intolerable.
Ideal for stay whilst waiting for ongoing flights
It is very convenient to stay at this hotel when your arrival at the airport is late or if you only stay for a few days. The metro is nearby and brings you everywhere in town in a reasonable short time. Also the bus station (for the pyramids) is at 10 minutes by metro. Although the hotel is situated in the middle of the airport, we had two excellent nights. To reduce outside noise to the minimum, our room looked out on a kind of winter garden, with its own transparent roof for daylight. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is super.
I stayed one night because I had to take an early morning flight. No complaints at all, but I could not test the breakfast. The only thing which did not work was the power outlet at the desk to supply laptop etc, so I had to use another one which was okay. Cleaning was okay also in the bathroom. I booked it thru the internet, even I could have just stepping in, which may have been much more expensive. So I paid US $ 175 incl. taxes which was accetpable. Courtyard hat the same price, online booked.
location room too small
location at terminal is very good old, shabby room, dirty worn-out bathroom
Very nice reception and excellent restaurant Room are very small
Great location, nice business stay. Upcharge for everything. Works for business, not as ideal for family.
The staff No free wifi
I found the value for this hotel to be amazing. There were several restaurants to choose from in the lobby plus the bar stayed open past 2am. I thought the segregated spa was a bit odd, but my wife and I were able to get an excellent 90-minute couples massage. The hotel is close to the main park where there are plenty of attractions. The staff was always able to accommodate me and they were super friendly. Even though I speak Spanish, I didn't need to as the staff was very fluent in English. I would stay here again. I didn't like that the spa was segregated. I would like to have spent some time in the Jacuzzi with my wife, but that is not the case with the spa facility.
Service; gym, price; rooms; location
You feel robbed when you stay at this hotel. Food is ridiculously expensive. WiFi access not only is charged - something unthinkable these days - but also it is very expensive (~10 usd per day).
Conveniently located in doing business in the south part of Mexico City My reservation was not in the system when I arrived, I was lucky that they had a room available. Though small charges I thought it was abusive to charge 15% service for the water bottled in the room and a $20 pesos cover charge for breakfast
Location was good, rooms were clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Far too noisy. The windows have only single-glazing, the street is noisy ( a busy taxi rank along one edge) the central atrium is loud in the rooftop bar with DJ very noisy at night. I'm very disappointed that the hotel hasn't replied to either of two emails, sent 2 hours after our departure and again the next day, concerning a package of paintings we left in our room and would have liked forwarded at our own cost.
The atmosphere and design of the hotel was great.
4 words - Hip Chic Design Cool
I am already recommending this hotel - location, staff, quality of rooms, etc. - all very excellent value at twice the price. Nothing!
The reception can't speak English well enough to give correct information. So we had a bit trouble like time schedule for the tour and tourist information location. The tourist Information provided by the concierge.
The room was fantastic. The hotel is located centrally near bars and restaurants. Staff were very helpful, and the hotel is also very well styled.
Great location near Shopping areas, Zona Rosa and numerous Restaurants, Movie theatre and easy access to other parts of Mexico City. Our understanding at the time of booking was that all taxes were included in the booking price of US$411 for our stay of 6 nights. HOWEVER, at the check out, we were charged all taxes over and above the room rates. Our total bill was $486 Canadian (about US$472), the bill included about $13 of Telephone charges (very high charges of about $1/minute for local calls!!). So we feel that we were overcharged about US$48.
Excellent location, but still quiet, good and friendly staff, very helpful, nice rooms, spatious and clean, very good breakfast (buffet with changing offer almost every day), very good bed! small breakfast room, no bar
We like that the hotel was very close to shopping dining and tourist atractions rooms where modern up to date. We took a tour to teotihuacan piramids the staff help us book that and they pick us up from the hotel Beds where uncomftorble and brakefast was not worth the money and it could be cleaner
Location and Breakfast
Nice spacious rooms with comfortable kingsize bed and clean look. Great location, just 3 minute walk from la Reforma. A large modern shoppingcentre is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Roomservice from Chili's, Pizzahut and Sushi. Weak Wifi signal at the 9th floor. Breakfast with little choice.
The hotel is located in a very distinguished, safe neighborhood, near the US and UK Embassy which mean high security. All staff is attentive, considerate, respectful, and friendly and go beyond the expected to assist. Breakfast is varied and has healthy options cereal and fresh fruits. Room is spacious, tastefully modern, and clean. There are ample wardrobes. Excellent for an extended stay. Small refrigerator and bottled water is provided as a courtesy. The bathroom and shower are new and very clean. Free internet! Hotel can arrange tours for busy execs with limited time. The hotel does not have a restaurant for light dining or snacks. An in-house restaurant would be best when a guest arrives late, is unfamiliar with the area, or feels insecure in the City.
Exellent front desk teal Truly european. The king bed is made out 2 twins
very nice and big room no choice of hot drinks by breakfast, you need to ask the waiter
Proximity to everithing price
