The location of this hotel is ok. The hotel is not of the standard promised. The room was average but not so clean, the curtains were not clean, the bathroom was very old. I would not stay in this hotel again. The girl in the bar was busy but very rude. This hotel is used by tours.
Location is excellent however because it is in the center of town there is a lot of homeless people in the area including at least 2 living right in front of the hotel who are constantly bugging you for money. The breakfast was horrible. After the first day we ended up paying for breakfast at a restaurant around the corner. Cleanliness was lacking. The maids only clean on the surface. Our bathtub had a ring around it and it looks like it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for months. The staff did not clean our room on the 24th or the 25th of December Bc they were on holiday. When my child spilled chips on the floor, the maid only picked up the visible chips not the ones around our bed, night table, suit cases. I would not stay there again.
Reception staff, porters, housekeepers -- all were very customer-oriented, helpful, and friendly. The hotel location was perfect while visiting various museums and plazas. Breakfast pastries were plentiful, delicious, and fresh -- and great coffee! The food service staff in the breakfast area were attentive for requests, but the scrambled eggs container was empty when I arrived for breakfast each day around 10 am. The staff would, of course, fill the container but that requires time. Also, staff did not remove used plates until after a customer left rather than during. Lunch in dining room near the reception desk was delicious but, again, staff did not "attend" to the tables quickly. I ate dinner in the hotel dining room only one evening and the service was very slow. I believe the food service personnel could learn a great deal from the front desk/porter personnel. :-) The length of the twin bed in my room was fine for me but may be a bit short for a person of approximately 6 feet tall.
Staff is great! Hotel is clean, safe. There was a fridge in our room...wonderful!! We could walk to the old city. Kitchen area available 24/7 for making our own breakfasts + lunches/snacks. Comfortable common area. Good computer for general use. We had a room too near the stairs and foyer and it was somewhat noisy later at night and first thing in the morning. Ask for a room higher and at back in new part.
the staff were very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was excellent and the hotel had a nice feeling about it. location was also great. i was travelling with a baby and found staff tried hard to accommodate us.
Good location - 10 minutes walk from Old Town. Good TV package with sport and films. Free internet in the lobby on guest computer. There were bats in the spaces between the walls and ceilings and there were gaps between the skirting and the walls meaning that when we woke up in the morning there was a bat in our room flying around - this was frightening especially as bats are rabies carriers. One of the reception staff came up and stamped on the bat and then took it away in a bag! He seemed like a bit of a bat killing pro (had experience). We had not had the window open at all and so the bat did come from inside the building.
Liked the location. Hotel was located close to the business district and walking distance to some of the most important touristic sites. Feel like room was misrepresented. Mine had really old furniture, and felt more like a low-grade motel. This was in contrast to a new/modern lobby and breakfast area.
The bed, super comfortable. The lobby is amazing. Looks like a 4 star but once you get out of the elevator it becomes a 2 star. Dingy at best. This place was safe and the staff were great but some paint and new carpeting would make this place great.
