This is a very efficient, comfortable and stylish hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Clearly, they hire customer oriented staff and pay great attention to detail. I'll definately return.
Everything was great! Would recommend to others
The peace and quite and very relaxing and clean Leaving
Very clean Quite far from main la attraction. Neighborhood is a no man's land at night.
Pillows, beds, comfort of whole room. Excellent staff. Shuttle was lincoln town car. Across from 24hr grocery store. No view just another room 4 feet away. No pool. Spa water was warm but not hot. Did I mention, no pool!
The guy at the front counter was very helpful room was clean but on the street didn't like that didn't seem like a four-star but did have a minibar valet guy stunk up my car not going back to this hotel because a dirty animal
this hotel had the most comfortable bed i have slept in away from home. the stylish simple decor is relaxing and the small details are appreciated. the central location is one of the primary reasons i selected this hotel. very pleased with my experience at this hotel.
Very nice room with good comfort Expensive breakfast! Including tax and normal tip we paid almost 70 dollars for a three persons continental breakfast (toast, muffin and fruit).
The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were attentive and courtious The smoke alarm tests Lack of king bed availaîlity
Just how nice the staff was and the welcome feeling each time you entered the doors An $93 dollars charge a day later after paying the bill that was not given a reason for what it was for.
Close to BUR, transport starts at 5:30 AM--but I was bumped to 5:45 despite confirmation, apparently because another traveler had a 5:30 slot. The transportation service is contracted out. The van was there at 5:40. Light traffic for the few miles. Courtesy was everywhere. . Middle of nowhere. Only meal source is a Jack in the Box across a major intersection. Staff told me "restaurants" etc about a mile away at a mall. I walked (car or Uber necessary) about 2/3rd miles and found a local but very good Mexican 50s-60s decor overhead fluorescent bar restaurant specializing in seafood. The selection was great (half dozen fresh oysters on the half shell $16/dozen), hot/cold seafood soups + just fine homemade fare. "Costa Azul."
It was very cozy Staff was very helpful
nothing Room was dirty, location was terrible, staff was rude except for the young lady in the morning she was okay.
location see above comments
Had to swap rooms 3 times. The rooms were smelly and the non smoking rooms smelled of smoke. It was very noisy
Even in absence of the reservation, the staff was very helpful and frindly.
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
Everything was perfect
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Close to where I had to go for some meetings. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but ok and the hours were good. Good, secure parking facilities. Hardly any good eating places in the area. Still using old tv models! Room wasn't ready when we arrived at the door of the room.
The pool is located poorly with almost no sunlight. The location is far from any decent walking or eating areas, thus requiring a car.
The breakfast was good and the breakfast area was nice. Room was comfortable. The parking was scarce. We got to the hotel early but was afraid to leave because we were told we'd have to park behind another car and leave the keys so it could be moved it necessary. The area of town seemed a bit run down and not safe to walk in.
The hotel was nice.
Neighbourhood is run down, few restaurant options
Having a variety breakfast, choice of hot or cold and a change every other day. The help in breakfast room always pleasant and kept everything filled, and cleaned up after the messy people. Didn't like having to pay $5. for a refrigerator in room, they were remodeling practically the whole floor and the cabinets where the micro and refrig went were empty so when we ask for the refrig were told it would be $5. so yes it was worth it for the days we were there although it was not very cold. Parking was an issue if you had to leave your keys with desk, when you are responsible for a rental having someone else have keys is a worry, and most aggravating is keys that become demagnetized and your room the farthest from desk and your tired and have to go back down for it to be fixed it happened twice
it was cheap, had parking, close to my business meetings. 1. They did not have me listed as having a reservation. 2. From February 1 to Feb 3 I stayed in room 323 at the N Hollywood Comfort Inn. All was well but for one huge issue - the toilet seat looked disgusting. There was a brown ring around the inside of the seat itself. Upon closer inspection it was a ring of rust or the paint was scraped off - but frankly, it was very unappealing and made sitting extremely uncomfortable and disquieting. Considering a toilet seat can be bought for under $30 and is very easy to install I was shocked to see this in the room. Such an easy fix for such an obvious problem. Most discouraging...will I stay @ Comfort Inn again - I doubt it
This hotel was great for us. We got a large room with king bed and fold out queen. It was very clean and the location was great for us, we really appreciated how secure the hotel was. The breakfast in the morning was nice and it was walking distance to many fast food options and a grocery store right across the street. The only problem we had was with the shower, it was very clean and nicely redone, but the water pressure was horrible and I don't think the shower head was hooked up correctly. Other than that it was great.
The location was very convenient for our needs -- we were visiting family and stayed there for several days. The room was large and comfortable with a sitting area.
New carpet, very clean room. Breakfast was great! Plenty of choices. Overall I would definitely recommend. Sink was backed up but was taken care of when we reported it.
We enjoyed the ease of the location to and from universal studios hollywood and traffic was not bad Late night staff seemed busy he was not very cheerful
Nothing Horrible neighborhood, there were prostitutes or what looked to be prositutes walking the streets all hours of the day. I had my 9 month old daughter and 7 year old son and i had to run out and buy sheets for our beds because my son found a condom in the bed. Overall this was the worst experience ive ever had in a hotel. I believe a Motel 6 would have been 10 times better.
My boyfriend and I stayed here because we were going to Universal Studios. The location was perfect only about a 15/20 minute drive. The staff was so nice. I thought the valet parking only would be inconvenient but it actually wasn't. Comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!
facilities user friendly, complete, quiet, relax, secure and confort.. none
Everything, everyone was very helpful and pleasant. We will stay here again! Thank you
What I loved the most was that I was close to everything in LA! Breakfast was delicious! Will be coming back for sure!
Staff was very nice and room was clean. I have no complaints. Valet parking was free but only because we had to sign up for a rewards program. If we didn't sign up it would have been 7.50 a night.
Shower had instant hot water and there is Free Parking. Breakfast is available but it's pretty low-key: cereal, some juice, milk, or coffee. The location is the best part, this place was close to everything we needed - which was a visit to a couple local animation studios and a conference at the nearby Burbank Marriott by the airport. It definitely has that old motel feeling, it's not bad but it's not great - we paid $104 excluding taxes and it definitely felt more like a $65-75 sort of place - but that could have been because it was a popular weekend and the rates were hiked. The towels are a little over bleached and the pillows were a little too over stuffed for my taste - but the bed was comfy.
It was quiet and I felt I could just be myself and not feel hassled in nay way Parking was a little tight
This was a great inn. Very clean and the room was fantastic! I lived in the area for 8 years and when my friends caame in they all said the same thing: "Wow, this is nice, I never would have guessed!" Nothing, everything about it was more than I expected for the money I paid.
Rooms are very clean and surprisingly nice. The outside of the hotel is not impressive but the rooms are great. The hotel did not have a double room reserved for us, even though we specifically stated that when booking. We were forced to stay in a smoking room, as it was the only double left, and hotel staff blamed us for the mistake, even though we had the paperwork proving we signed up for a double room. The rates were ridiculously expensive - not worth the price.
Room was great, no problems. Bed very comfortable. Everything I needed was there. Good wireless. Nearby restaurants were great. Wireless went down occationally. Front desk staff inconsistant. Outside a bit depressing.
The rooms were very comfortable and the modern, updated look was fabulous. Looking at the hotel's exterior it is not obvious how updated the rooms are. Loved the spacious two queen beds. Nice choice of bed covers.
Free juice/coffee and generic continental breakfast the sheets and pillows smelled like they sprayed a cleaning spray on them and left them wet. mildew-ish
Quiet, private room, great new interior. Big comfy bed. Fridge was abit noisy, and breakfast a little dull, but not big things to worry about.
Nice staff upon check in. Good location and a decent place to stay compared to prices of other hotels in the area. Coffee was good. Ample parking. Quiet. The bedspread was smelly. The continental breakfast was terrible.
Even thought the point of an extended stay is to have a place with a kitchen and a way to cook the room had no pots, pans, or dishes starting out and I had to request them. It then took the staff hours to get me the things that I had requested. It was always noisy and difficult to get sleep. I would never recommend staying here.
We liked pretty much everything. There's a pool, fitness center, & gift shop. There's also a fully functioning restaurant (The Daily Grill) that is open early & closes late. Great place to have people in the area meet us for food or drinks. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need included. It was nice to have a parking lot in the hotel, but if you opted not to go with Valet, it was a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby with suitcases & such. Adding to that, the parking lot is shared with airport travelers, so there were times at night where we were concerned we wouldn't find any spaces, even though we were hotel guests. But, it still worked out, there were a couple of hidden spots. My biggest complaint is that the air-conditioning unit in our room was very loud & would wake us up throughout the night whenever it clicked on. On a minor note, the business area in the room with the extra outlets had blown a fuse & no power was coming out of it. We let the front desk know. Over-all, these are small complaints (other than the AC).
Room was very clean and staff was very polite.
Great value for the price. Only thing that I can point out was check in. We had to wait for a room to get cleaned even though we were checking in 2 hrs past regular check in. Also no hot tub. :( staff was top notch. I have never had towels delivered so fast. I swear they were to us before I hung up, haha
Great staff Double queen beds seemed a little small and mattresses were not very comfortable.
I did like that the front desk accommodated us despite the miscommunication about check in. They gave us free overnight parking as well. I did not like that guest parking was so expensive. Even just for a few hours would be pricey just for a quick visit.
I loved the bed but that's about it. When I first checked in I was carrying my baby and luggage and had my son follow. Got all the way to my room and my key didn't work so i had to drag it all back down and carry it all back up a second time. The shower clogged up. The tv was in & out and some channels didn't have any volume?! No fridge, no microwave, no table for us to eat on.... (There was a desk my son ate on but me & my husband had to eat standing up or on the bed) Parking is $21 a night for guest. You have to pay for wifi & breakfast.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast for guests unless you pay at the restaurant or order room service.
The Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly but the parking wasn't free, $21 dollare a day. Yikes! No free parking.
The pool area at night was beautiful The only thing I would mention is that the additional parking fee was not clear when I booked, I ve found out of this at the hotel
I like the assistance the hotel provided in helping us plan our trip and visit sights around the area. Our room had a used cot in it when we arrived, but they handled it quickly and moved us to a new room.
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
The public area is very nice Check in was very delayed. No iron in room. No wifi and public computers didn't work properly
The proximity to Universal studios was great. The porter/valet, front desk and concierge were all very friendly.
5 minutes walking to Universal Studios! Staff was super friendly and the room service was fanastic. Nothing!!!!
Vary close to park and city walk. Vary clean and friendly service.
Location as it is closed to the Universal studio No water being provided
I loved the location; close to Universal but also a short drive from Hollywood and Warner Brothers. Walking distance to small restaurants and gas stations. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And the view from the 20th floor was incredible. The room needs some updating. Dings and marks were visible on the walls and the bathroom showed definite signs of wear.
Close to visit Universal Studios and not far from airport.
The valet parking chaps were efficient and helpful and fresh breakfast was fast and good electronic key had to be changed on 3rd day sd it wasnt programmed for my full stay
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view. When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything - Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
Overpriced. Pictures don't reflect the rooms. It's definitely false advertisement
Everything was great... The size, the bathroom, the noise was non-existent, a fridge and microwave.. The check out time is NOT noon as stated on the bill, email, receipt, etc. It is 11am. I even asked when I got there to make sure and was told even by staff that check out is noon. I was out most of the night with my girlfriend and got back around 3am, went to sleep at 4am. I woke up to a phone call from staff at 10:45am that 11am is check out. I checked the receipt and told him it's clearly printed that it's noon. He said "no" that the maids need time to clean the rooms and check out time is always 11am. This is the same guy that when my girlfriend arrived to the hotel before me refused to let her check in (despite both our names were a part of the guests and later got resolved by the next guy's shift. (She sat in her car waiting and the next employee was happy to let her check in and doesn't know why the previous guy didn't.) This is the only experience that I'm really pissed at is that I paid for a given time and that it was abruptly changed without warning. (And through no fault of my own).
Just an ordinary motel - nothing bad but nothing extraordinary good as well. A quiet place and clean bed to sleep - just what I needed. A coffee machine is a pleasant bonus ) Despite the fact that it was the cheapest motel in North Hollywood I could find it's still overpriced - like all accomodation in LA. Wi-fi signal isn't so good.
Neat and spacious room. Parking space was not clean.
Clean and spacious room. Good value for money. Breakfast area was small and options limited.
No ice or vending machines.
Acoustic insulation is not good at all. We could hear every conversations of people walking by our room. Both queen bed is squeeking too much and curtain has multiple holes.
Some of the front desk staff was polite. Pool was a decent size. Bed was not leveled .Floors also felt like it had holes at least 1 square foot in some spots. Shower head was pretty dirty. The noise was bad from construction crew that was fixing a room close to my room. Noise from highway was pretty bad early morning and late at night. Walls were so thin that I heard conversations as if I was in the same room.
Cheap, relatively clean Rooms and building exterior badly need rehabbing. Tub was patched with repair compound and needs to be reglazed. Shower head is waaaay too low, and I'm only 5'10
Poor hotel Infested with silver bag Poor internet so called free WiFi
The room size Very out of date, not worth the price. Needs to be 25% cheaper.
The beds very hard.
The carpets and floor were filthy
The room was cleaned daily, beds were made and they have lots of pillows in the room. Couldn't hear noise from other rooms. Although you are right by the freeway, you don't hear lots of noise. Little to no parking. One day we came back late to the room and there was no parking, and it was confusing on where it was ok to park out on the street. My husband had to help me take the kids up stairs then come down and park the car in a compact area. The check in staff was not the friendliest.
It was dirty and smelled weird.
We spent few days in this Hotel & we really liked it. It was very quiet, comfortable, very nice & spacious room, good restaurant, very nice staff, good position to go to the main places, good prices.Gay friendly. Hellen & Lorenz
that everyone had a smile on their face
Everything was great! I can write a lot of about this hotel and it would be only good. The hotel was an amazingly positive surprise for me. The room and the bathroom were very, very nice. And the pool on the rooftop… From there you see the Hollywood Hills, the huge LA and the skyscrapers of Downtown. We took breakfast on the roof every morning and while my wife was on the pool I worked on my Laptop (WiFi). The place is perfect for me!
size of the room Facet was broken and not fixed. Air conditioning did not cool back of room.
The hotel has a great location and very friendly staff. At night, the area is very calm and safe, although it is close to all major attractions and only a few steps from public transportation (Metro). I will definitely book Le Montrose again for my next stay in la!!!
Only there 1 night but loved it, particularly the under stated designer decor. Excellent breakfast.
The Staff was very friendly and efficient. My room had only one window and it faced a wall but had a tiny peek a boo view of the city.
Location and service Slightly older and dark (hallways and elevator banks) but still with a lot of character
I enjoyed the entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Kareoke and the house band were awesome The pool area could use some upgrades and a jacuzzi
My only suggestion is that the room service could be a bit nicer for the price... plasticware?
The rooms were very nice and comfy. Nice size bathroom. The non-smoking rooms wreaked of disgusting stale cigarettes. As a non-smoker, it made me gag!!
Ita the nicest holiday inn i hqve ever seen and the girl at the front desk told me it was the biggest too. Also PARKING IS FREE. . . A rarity in LA It was all good
Staff was amazing (though having a newborn with us helped). Young pregnant woman at front desk (didn't catch her name) was exceptionally accomodating. First night was broken by several members of a wedding party banging on our door and being loud in general.
Had frig and mirowave in the room . Our room had a connecting door in it. The one night someone in the other room went to sleep with his tv volume up. beginning of the night we were able to sleep but as it got to early morning it became a problem. However when we tried to fix problem they quickly helped solve the issue.
The rooms were amazing, and the view was very beautiful! The workers were very polite and very outgoing
Everything. Food very Good. Could not fault anything.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! There was not much nearby that was walking distance, but easy enough to get an über to take you to nearby sights/activities.
Room was ready upon arrival, very clean, nicely appointed rooms, easy access location. Rooms open to central courtyard which was noisy from the var at night. Room service never brought my order, no call or any apology and the desk staff didn't seem to care the next morning when I told them.
Staff was great. Hotel was clean and comfortable. A little off the beaten path but seemingly a nice neighborhood. I asked for a pre noon check in online the day before and I was not allowed to check in until 3 pm.
helpful staff, good service The pool they were supposed to have was located at another motel. A little deceptive to say they have a pool.
Nice quiet neighborhood feel. Short walk to Starbucks, Trader Joes and. A number of other food choices. Hotel looks like it is just about due for a renovation. Still nice though but showing age. Kind of trivial but the pillows were just too soft, no options for more structured pillow.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The location and the decor.
It was boutique and romantic for a getaway with my girlfriend. The air condition unit was in wall and very loud. The fireplace in the room did not work.
Room Valet don't pay too expensive park at meeter free till 8 am
Rooftop pool. Free wifi. Free coffee in the AM. Free shuttle to within 3 miles. The shower is weird with no curtain or door
GREAT location right in the heart of it all. Extremely nice staff who were very responsive to any question/concern. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Location The staff was rather lack luster. One staff member let me know they have a shuttle service, which I ended up using. However another staff member said they had no such service.
The rooms are a little worn.
location, staff a little pretentious
Quiet meighborhood This is not a four star hotel and I've stayed at most of the four star hotels in LA. They have standard old time air conditioning units in the wall right above th bed and they are noisy and must run constantly to work at all. Plumbing very noisy.
clean comfortable and quiet
I liked the location. It's very central to Hollywood and West Hollywood. This hotel is very noisy. The rooms are very spartan, and this is not a hotel for people not there to party into the wee hours.
upon arrival the front desk staff was a bit testy with me and made me wait past 4pm for my room after i had been on the road and on planes for eay too long. i got cut off by a gentleman when i tried to talk in a stern voice i got name and reservation? not even a hi, how are you doing today? location for price isn't too great anymore, elevator was out one night, no one really asks if you need anything, maids don't speak english but at least they smile. not worth what i paid. ridiculously overpriced. i asked about restaurants and all they wanted me to do was order from their room service. had problems getting on internet in room.stayed there yrs. ago, quality of service has gone down. when i arrived no one even asked if i needed help with bags.
Great service, fun times, great parties and very comfortable and clean.
there's a great vibe about this hotel. and the best part is, if you find yourself in hollywood and not sure where to go, you can pretty much party in the lobby! also, mini bar items are super cool and fun. not enough space to hang clothes! the mini bar location is cool but not practical.
The design of the hotel and the rooms was extremely appealing. The staff was nice and helpful
Had a good stay. Will definitely stay again. Bathroom was a little diry when I arrived. Food i thought could be better.
Interesting venue, good location. Service wasn't great, ceilings and walls are particularly thin, making it too noisy at times to sleep. Especially, with some young dork band, relentlessly body slamming each other in the room above from 3am to 7am in the morning, before going swimming in the pool, fully clothed outside my room at 7.30am. The staff seemed to be oblivious to this.
The location was very central. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The floors need updating. They made very loud creaking sounds. It seemed like the guests above us were going to fall thru the ceiling onto our bed. Guests in a nearby room partied on their deck at sunrise and were very loud.
The walls are very thin, you can hear everything going on in the room next door..
Location and pool area. Comfort, price, room condition, a dog park right next to the hotel that bothered like hell!
For a fair price I enjoyed a very pleasant suite in a building with character in a quiet, pleasant, convenient neighborhood. The roof deck was, as promised, charming. Nothing
I like the garden at the top as well as the swimmingpool. The food was great. the service good as well. The rooms could look a bit better... but my main concern was the lift! The slowest lift ever! that was really bad...
