The tours run by Aitana to the sites in the area. Excellent guide named Ivan.
My husband and child and I loved staying at this hotel. We arrived early the morning we were supposed to stay and they let us check in early and when we were leaving they let us leave our bag there so we wouldn't have to lug it all around town. We were very very happy with the service and they went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated. The hotel was also very clean and very classic of Oaxaca. Breakfast was also really good. Beautiful view on the roof of the city.
The staff was very courteous. The rooms were quite nice. The street was a little noisy as it was a bus route but not too noisy from room.
The hotel is lovely with a buffet breakfast served in the open patio. It*s an easy walk to all the sites in town and you feel very safe on the streets at night. The staff are wonderful. Very helpful. We loved it here so much we decided to stay an extra week.
Good value for money. Efficient and benevolent staff. Limited choice for evening meal.
it is an alright hotel, the balcany of the hotel roof is nice rooms are so so. no window facing outside
The staff was very nice and friendly and the food was good The rooms did not have windows
Beautiful hotel with so much history. Great service; professional and personable staff.
Perfectly located, beautiful grounds and pool, large clean room, attentive service- what more could you ask for? My 22 year old daughter didn't want to leave. Neither did I, will certainly return. Nada! Great place on quiet street so close to everything
Very convenient to tourist attractions, galleries, museums, street fairs. Tall young woman on the morning staff was bi-lingual, very friendly and gave the best hints about finding items (ibuprofen, coffee) in the neighborhood. The restaurant was quite good (especially the shrimp pasta) and in the mid-range price-wise (as is the hotel). The bed was firm (as I like it) and overall it made a budget-conscious trip very affordable. There is a programmable safe in the room which can easily fit a camera, a laptop, lenses, and valuable documents without issue. The windows on interior rooms are arranged around small shafts that carry sound -- other guests, showers, etc. This was an issue after 1 a.m. Additionally, there was renovation being done on hotel rooms from very early in the day, most days of the week (including weekends). The pool is relatively small and in a courtyard surrounding by the building so that hours of poolside sunlight are limited. Since I was there for more than a week, these items came in to play. I don't offer this as criticism, just for awareness when booking. Also, there is an envelope for tips on the nightstand -- when I had no small bills to put inside, service declined. I preferred less service, but even when I left the do not disturb sign on the door, I found my room cleaned. I am a very private person, so this felt a little bit like a violation.
This hotel has an excellent location in the middle of the historical centre of Oaxaca, one block from the Zocalo. It is very charming, with a patio, a restaurant, pool. Very quiet despite its central location. Poeple are very friendly, the hotel offers nice sightseeing tours.
Nice place - the courtyards are beautiful and staff were warm and friendly. Rooms away from any main street so quiet. Restaurant had good basic food. Showers were not great. Lighting in rooms too dark - not enough sunlight coming through. Mirror no good for shaving - I cut myself. No international universal power points or adaptors for electrical stuff available. Wireless a bit slow.
the hotel is nice however would like a ascensor for the ups floorss
