Location reddiculous price of their continental breakfast of 30 Euro
The best of staying at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg was the location, courteous service, the size and the quietness of the room. Although it was very charming, our two floor suite, it was difficult for us to tote our luggage and packages on the semi spiral staircase. The neighborhood was not very convenient in terms of neighborhood bakery, restaurants, pharmacies, or convenience stores. The hotel computer room was a sauna closet and with the prices we paid, free internet should be available hotel-wide.
What I like best about the hotel is its location. It is situated in the middle of a great shopping area and is very convenient.
location is perfect... rooms are very comfortable...
The bed was absolutely amazing - lovely soft duvet and pillows Over priced bar in room. Internet 10 euros for 30 minutes
position room is small
Nice room, comfy lobby, good location in tourist district. Very easy to access museums and beautiful old town Paris. Spa very small, concierge gave lousy restaurant recommendation (tourist trap). Great place to stay, wander outside district for food and more authentic Paris experience.
service is good and the bathrrom is good.
the location is exellent very different from last years both for the level af rooms and for the services
location the classic room.
Facilies were very nice and the location is very central. Very short walk to multiple train lines and metro. With one exception with an encounter with a bartender which was terrible, the staff was great. Most front door men are always hustling bags, giving directions and calling cabs. All spoke English. Family's be aware of one minor quirk. The bathroom and shower doors are clear glass with a dulling switch. It just doesn't get real dull. It's still very see through for all members to see. However the rooms were very modern and clean.
Overall help with taxis, dinner reservations, comfort of the room, location close to exciting parts of Paris, extremely helpful staff. Also, the size of the room, relative to other Paris hotels, is superior. A nice, professional, contemporary hotel with a first-class staff and great attention to detail.
The locxation is great for the cente of Paris, without being in any high traffic or people area. The Hotel facilities are good and the breakfast a splendid spread. Taxis are hard to come by, and the Chatalet station, whilst being very close, is a nightmare to understand (Not the Hotels problem)
They should not advertise free internet as for four days I could not check my e-mails as two same people were occupying the two computers they have for hours every day.
Very convenient to RER. Great location! Quiet. Friendly staff.
Well located in a lively part of Paris and close to shopping and restaurants.
The location was great very central The area looked abit dodgy at night but we had no trouble whatsoever!
There was no room for unpacking our clothes! stayed for one week and there was not a single drawer or shelf to store anything so after paying the rate of a 4 star hotel, we got the "confort" level of a 2 star hotel instead. The carpets were filthy and the matresses were soiled! The narrow hallways smelled and felt like a cheap cruiseship. We are very dissapointed with the quality of the rooms and the overall value of this hotel.
easy to visit shops and west bank area the shower cubical water flow was poor to non-existant. we complained to room supervisor but told it was normal on 5th floor
We didn't like the third bed, was too small
Location. Nice rooms. Long waiting line at the breakfast
Service was excellent. All staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel is conveniently located 5 min from the Louvre, restaurants and the metro. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
the pool not enough milk, tea bags etc in the room
very modern and clean hotel maybe a bigger pool food and drink overpriced
Using Eurostar and arriving at Gare du Nord it was easy to transfer to Gare de Lyon Station which is right next door to this hotel. The Hotel was a 10 minute walk to The Palais du Omnisport where we had tickets for a concert - perferct. Breakfast not included, therefore slightly overpriced, and the breakfast was very expensive. Restaurant does not open until 7.00pm - too late for a meal before a concert.
Outstanding everything and love Americans Breakfast could've been better
the pool is nice if a bit small i couldnt get the tv internet in my room to work. i asked reception and they said they'd send someone, but it never happened
The included buffet breakfast was perfect for our family. Also, the indoor pool was clean and well-maintained. Nothing.
Good location and quiet room Small bathroom
Free Wi-Fi, pool, good breakfast, polite stuff The room was quite small for three people
Close to the office of Rohm and Haas. Comfortable bed. Dinner selection.
easy accsess to train and metro next to a down and out soup kitchen
the staff were fantastic and the size of the room and the beautiful bath only added to our enjoyment. The idea that you had no doorman or bellhop. At 65 yrs of age dragging four pieces of luggage to our room from the street was a chore
i liked its central location the staff where very knowledgeable and the beds and bed linen were out of this world it was my birthday during our stay and was given a bottle of champagne i disliked the prices
Please write at least 15 words
Hotel staff are ok, but need more english speaking staff if possible Location, location
Location, staff support, comfort, friendliness
The Location which central to tourist sites + the cleanliness of the room
superb hotel, superb staff, couldnt do enough for you. yes it is a lot of money, but for a treat and/or special occasion highly, highly reccomended
confort of the room
Bathroom small and uncomfortable and needs to be redesign
The location near to everywhere, the bed is extraordinary comfortable ! Only for the breakfast rooms need more improvement, more bigger for more guests.
Location & service are really good! They gave me a present at my birthday surprisingly.
Pleasant and helpfull staff ,good atmosphere in hotel The hotel has a lovely bar however at 14 euros for a beer you won't stay long
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Refreshing to get this kind of service...
I was pleasantly surprised that such comfortable and business-friendly property at the heart of Paris existed. Aside from the rate, I think the hotel was excellent in all aspects for a person travelling on business who has a little spare time for some leisure. As I stated, I thought the rate was a bit on the high side given it's location.
Not bad, quite expensive, especially when you factor in that you have to pay €21 extra per day per computer (we're two people with two laptops) for internet, plus quite a bit more for taxes and breakfast and parking. Ultimately our €475 room came to about €750 per night with all the extras. Room service food is outrageously expensive - €36 for breakfast - plus tax, gratuity, room service fee, all comes to about €55 and that's if you don't tip the guys either. And, watch the bill, they have habit of charging for extra items that should be included in your breakfast set. The staff were mostly efficient but cold or indifferent and the maid's service was either dumb or lazy or both. They'd always miss things or forget to clean our room or leave the breakfast tray in the room while cleaning everything else. I guess that's room service's job, not theirs?
Service was excellent, and the Purple Bar was Fantastic.
The level of service of the Hilton Chain and its luxury
Location great, friendly helpful staff, they had flowers, champagne and cake in room on arrival, beautiful touch.
central location in room tv very bad overall: choice of channels, image, etc air con would only heat and not cool-only way to sleep was to open window
The room and comfort of the bed and friendliness of the staff could not get selection of movie channels and had no confirmation from the engineer sent to the room as to when it would be operational again.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They also spoke excellent English. Brilliant location for the Louvre.
Extreme helpfulness of most staff. Reference to 'Hot breakfast' Abscence of coffee/tea facilities in room (Neither of these important).
the location was good to get to marais and to st germain as well as of course the louvre so easy. room was quiet, clean large enough in paris terms. so was happy and will stay again. that breakfast is extra. but that is typical of france. also dont like that you have to take your bags by yourself. im too old for that nonsense.
Location Breakfasts is very poor. Staff in bufett one of the shifts is rude staff
Small, clean, kind service, central Better acces to internet and printeracess
Excellent Rooms, excellent location
fantastic location and friendliness of desk staff the mini elevator, but I think this is common thoughout hotels in France
Compact hotel with attentive staff. Space at a premium but efficiently designed with modern baths.
Location Room service was rude, the bathroom smelled really bad and it stunk up the bedroom. breakfast was not good nor tasty. The bed was not king or queen size, it was two single beds put togather, very uncomfortable
The room we had on our second night was very nice. It was as we had booked - a Classic room. I don't understand. If you don't want us to write about a bad experience - which we had - why ask?
Perfect location for side seeing and museums, especially Louvre as well as for shopping There is no real lobby and reception desk - instead rather ridiculous two stands for staff
Design and location food
Hotels name is not visible from the street
Design and Decoration Broken Lift more than 1 Day (If Compare with this Level)
Every single member of staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel was in a perfect location, between all the main sights to see. The foyer was a little plain and not very welcoming.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were exceptional. They did everything within their power to make your stay more enjoyable and to assist you in any matter.
The staff were very nice and helpful and spoke good english. The breakfasts were very good, we also liked the nice linen used and the comfortable bed. The hotel reception area is not very welcoming. There is only an old couch and 2 very small reception desks with poor quality music playing. My first impression of the hotel was not good, they could have made the reception area much more inviting - get rid of the couch!! We also didnt like the shower as it was hand held! - makes it hard to wash your hair, thats if there is any hot water as on 2 occasions in the morning there was no hot water, especially annoying on the morning of departure before a 24 hour flight home!
Everything was excellent. Staff are very helpful & facilities great. The location is superb, close to Louvre, Pont Neuf and Metro but very quiet in rooms.
Very clean dust free environment due to no rugs on the floor. Excellent staff service. Small hotel, with very personal service. Very quiet room. Excellent location. At 400 a night, it seemed pricey but I don't visit Paris enough to know the going rates. I walked into another 4 star and asked about rates and they were 25 to 30 % cheaper. The quality of the service at L'Empire is so good though that it was worth the extra money. Also, their web site on Hotels.com listed shuttle service which they didn't have, although to their credit, they found me a shuttle service, although in the end I chose to take a car to the airport.
Great location at Gare de Lyon in Paris within 100 meters from the tgv trains, Metro and rer trains.Free internet. Internet did not permit SKYPE.The managers should understand that skype is part of the internet universe and should be available for the guests to use it.Why block it ? To force people to spend money on phone or mobile?
Great location. You walk to Metro, trains and the Air France bus terminal to CGD without having to cross a street Rooms are on the small size ,as expected for this three star property.
Proximity to train station and airport transfer was great. Staff very helpful and spoke English. Comfortable, quiet and clean. Air conditioning temperature could not be altered and was too hot. Hotel was a bit smelly.
Central location, quiet room, helpful staff. We were pleasantly surprised after reading other comments
i stay in these hotel cuse its near the gare de lyon station.
Location near train station This was the WORST stay...room not clean. Noisy room...called down to front desk after listing to over 2 hours of noise in the room above us. So at 2am nothing happened. Called down again at 5am...nothing happened from the front desk! Poor.
Location is great, just next to Gare de Lyon, 1 min only. Suitable for travellers with big luggage. Room size is proper for 2 people comparing to other relatively small Paris hotels. The staffs seem too busy to manage too many things. Which made some services less satisfying and efficient, such as answering questions about Wi-fi password or an extra blanket service.
*Reception has good service *Very close to tgv and have good restaurant around the hotel Their reservation center is not very nice, the lady told to me who had bad attitude. The hotel should improve the quality of their reservation center just like reception
Location is good Air conditioning didn't work properly. Room was very small
Good location when travelling by train arriving at Gare de Lyon which is adjacent to the hotel. Also if travelling by plane to/from Roissy Air France airport bus is a few metres away. Metro and buses to main places in Paris nearby. Hotel staff really nice and speaks English. Good sized room and very clean. Lockers very convenient to leave luggage when leaving late evening. Buffet breakfast at 17euro pp very expensive. Since we were there for 2 nights only we opted for the express breakfast at 7euro pp. It consisted of tea or coffee or hot chocolate, 3 small pastries and orange juice, but to take the same things everyday it tends to be boring.
The location is absolutely superb. Towards the end of our stay the service deteriorated, e.g. room was only serviced late in the afternoon on 2 days
soft matresses missed more equipment in bathroom
breakfast was great we missed our flight because the front desk/concierge team could not arrange the taxi to arrive on time (even though we were assured the night before that we would have plenty of time and that their taxi partners always came early or on time, never late).
the location and the design of the hall the rooms are quite small and the rooms on the court which are very calm have the view on a part which has to be still restored
the staff, the room, the ease of the staff and the location
Great location, personal service Small room
The hotel is located in the most central part of Paris, walking distance to all major touris attractions. The staff is very polite and welcoming very helpful as well. The room and common area design to perfection. The food in the Resturant is to die for. Very nice hotel worth every penny. You can't get food after 12pm even though the menu says 24/7
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was pleasant with a fine view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The restaurant menu was very expensive but this is to be expected in the middle of Paris. We didn't eat in!
The staff is amazing. Room always clean. Great location
location decor friendly It had plumbing issues. i.e.. oder . Cleaning staff was noisy in the mornings. Staff needs training. This is not a five star Hotel.
The room was quite small but fine for me. I cant really imagine sharing it with anyone - I had filled the small closet and two shelves for clothing. The people at the hotel were nice. The toilet was a separate room and was very small. Too small for my liking.
Atention of the staff is excellent. The hotel shows pictures on the Internet rooms that have been renovated and hence modern and luxurious; however, the room we stayed has not been renovated at all and furniture, carpet and design were old.
The location was awesome! The noise and lack of an outlet in the bathroom, The room was also dated and could see years of wear and tear.
Quiet and cozy room. Spacious and clean. Staff was very helpful at check in and the few times I requested suggestions for dining.
Very comfortable, affordable Hotel with the luxury of the Spa. After long days of walking it was great to relax in the pool and spa! The room was very big as is the American way! Location was perfect.
location of hotel was amazing, staff was great, concierge was great. everything was fine
My boyfriend and I stayed here on our first trip to Paris. The location is amazing - a metro stop across the street, as well as the Louvre and Tuilleries gardens. The bed was large and comfortable, and our room was cleaned no matter how late in the day. The restaurant had a beautiful courtyard and good food (breakfast is not included). The room was a little dark, but the common areas of the hotel felt luxurious. Couldn't have asked for a better location, especially at the price we got. The room was a little dark - could have used more lamps and another mirror. A few nights there was noise from people either closing doors or shutters in the hotel. For some reason the front desk took about an hour to deliver us our bags despite multiple calls, but that was the only time we had an issue with service.
great hotel no complaints
Concierge was extremely helpful with planning day trips and use of metro. We travelled with subway and bus without any trouble as they give you maps and great instructions. Rooms were clean and had fresh crisp white linens. Housecoat and slippers to use spa. Courtyard lovely to sit in while waiting for wife to get ready. We had a two level suite on mainfloor over looking a very French courtyard/garden.
Great location, excellent base for touring and exploring from. Park right across the street and metro station at front door. Staff very friendly - concierge service was excellent helping with decisions and arrangements. Enjoyed the bar in the evenings. Would likely stay there on any return trip.
Overall was a great place but its ally was given a room that was approximently 250 sq feet. Enough place for one but NOT two. To change rooms it cost an extra $50.00/ day. And while we were there the room was rented out again with the same result occurring to another couple. So while it made have great qualities the hotel still scams the customer.
The position Frankly more or less everything! In serious need of modernisation!! Air cond not functioning in a great number of rooms, carpets hardly clean in common areas, state of the building itself, in the garden show the lack of maintenance. An overpriced, and way overrated hotel.
Location ... Location ... Location The courtyards are just gorgeous and what better place to enjoy breakfast or coffee or a drink. We loved our room, # 210. it had a loft with a bed. and a view of the courtyard. Breakfast was not included. I think the room price should include it !
I had a great stay. Staff was very polite and helpful. Location was perfect, breakfast was delicious. Will come back again
Very helpful and courteous staff. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. It will be very difficult to remain classified as **** unless this is done very soon. The 'free' wi-fi is very slow in the rooms.
The hotel room is so spacious and comfortable. The location is so close to Eiffel Tower. None
The location and the hotel staff
The close proximity to both the Metro and Eiffel Tower, River Seine were the only plusses. The room was spacious, but even thought tea/coffee sachets were supplied, there were no cups. We asked 3 times before cups were provided, then the cups were not replaced on the following day. In addition, toilet paper was not replenished and we asked but without success. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned and there were large strands of hair in the toilet on arrival. All in all, housekeeping left alot to be desired.
Staff was rude and unaccommodating. Rooms were not available at the checkin time and staff repeatedly instructed patrons to come back every hour which ruined a day of travel. Wouldn't recommend for vacation travelers.
The whole experience was excellent -- I was very impressed. Staff were unfailingly attentive, the dinner excellent, the breakfast full of available variety. The view of the tower from the balcony impressed my grand-daughter!I am not all that easily pleased, so not inclined to easily give high ratings, but I have to say that every aspect of the stay was excellent. Nothing.
Location & friendlyness. Location & friendlyness.
the breakfast buffet was incredible. Great variety, amount and quality. We also loved that the staff controlled entry to the buffet area so everyone got seated nicely and it kept the start of the mornings pleasant. The free Wi-Fi they offer is a bit too slow to do much, so it is almost necessary to buy the upgrade for 22 Euros/day they offer.
The view of the Eiffel Tower was worth the cost of the hotel. The furniture was a little shabby for the price of the room.
Very clean and modern hotel with above average room size for Paris. A block away from the Eiffel Tower!
Location was near the Eiffel tower and public transportation. Restaurants nearby. Rooms did not have any drawer storage for clothes, There was room for 2 night stands yet there was only one. Paint color in rooms and hall was depressive,
Location n view of eiffel
Good hotel. Would go back. Convenient location (close to train stations and metro). Nice breakfast. Comfy and clean rooms. Nice staff. Private sauna
Good location for our purposes between 2 great metro/RER stations. (Gard du Nord & Gare de l'est) but a bit off the beaten path. Need to work on the lighting in the bathroom - hard to see for make-up and hair. Otherwise, room was great. My daughter and I had 2 twin beds and a corner room with small balcony facing the street - it was spacious and quiet on the 5th floor. Would stay here again. Spent little time at the hotel but it was quiet, comfortable and clean and the staff was very personable. Can't speak to the food as we did not eat at the hotel at all.
Staff, room The suite was amazing, the standard room a bit small
Very clean and contemporary style. Very nice and professional hotel staff. Free coffee, tea, croissant, and free use of umbrellas. Room was not large, but plenty of space for a 4 night stay with 2 people. Great location. Exceeded our expectations in every way.
We needed a place for 1 night stopping through Paris, on the way to London next day via eurostar. The room was small but not by Paris standards. The bed and shower were perfect. The staff was super helpful and nice. For the money it was the perfect place to crash for the night.
absolutely nothing the staff, the cheap, tacky interior, the filthyness, the rude staff constantly smoking .. the loud noisy contruction all through the night, the paper thin walls to here the lowlifes staying in the area fight, the constant sounds of sirens and distress calls.. did i mention the rude staff. the bugs and spiders in the bathroom, the lazy housekeeping service.. the stink of musty furniture throughout the place. i wouldnt even consider the food after seeing the filthy environment
We ended up at a Hotel Mademoiselle due to our Airbnb falling through. This turned out to be much better. Friendly staff, central location, and clean cozy rooms. The area is a bit dirty and dodgy at night, BUT as long as you're aware of your surroundings you'll be fine.
Staff were great and very helpful. Rooms were well appointed and nice, comfortable, and clean. Hotel was quiet and located close to metro and a number of excellent restaurants, shops, and bakeries (Mekerbeche nearby is a must-visit). 1. The shower is extremely poorly designed so that every time you use them it floods the bathroom floor with water, this makes showering a chore and could easily be avoided with some small renovations. 2. This hotel is located in a somewhat dubious area, not what you would expect, given the price you are paying.
The hotel room was on the small side but very well equipped for the price! We especially enjoyed the multi-room speaker system with headphone jack plug that we used with our iPhone to play music, the rain shower with great water pressure, the windows that overlooked the courtyard that opened all the way up with a great breeze, the big closet that fit all our bags and clothes for our long trip, the mostly friendly staff that understood English well. The proximity to the metro stations was nice but we found Rue Magenta to be very sketchy with a lot of vagrants, loiterers and gypsy beggars. We did not have a good experience with one of the night guards, we asked him to call us a taxi but when it was taking too long to arrive and we changed our minds he got very mad and almost began yelling at us. We had a dinner reservation to make on time and would have missed it if we waited for his cab to arrive. That's not the proper way to treat a guest at your hotel. Also the "spa" was disappointing, there was no privacy and other guests were walking in and out during our reservation time, including hotel staff interrupting the water bed massage midway asking if we had made an appointment. Yes we did make an appointment, please check your books instead of interrupting! So that experience was completely ruined.
Staff was friendly, welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage at the front desk as our room was not ready for check-in. We arrive to Paris earlier than the check-in time. We dropped off our luggage and went about our day. By the time we came back, it was great to know the staff brought our luggage to our room. We didn't stay in the room much. as we were out all day. I would recommend that the hotel would suggest different places to eat around the city.
The room was absolutely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great but not included. Staff were nice. The "big bus" tour and train station are walking distance. It was far from all historic places that we wanted to see and go in Paris so we had to take a bus or train at day time and taxi at night since I didn't feel safe walking in that area. If you are staying for few days I suggest to get a hotel close to area you are planning to vist but if you are planing to stay for a week or more this is a good place if you don't mind paying for taxi at night!
the location the price of the breakfast is really indecent I am afraid
We were a large party with small children and a bicycle. The staff was very accomidating, providing extra towels and bed linens promptly. They stored my husband's bike during our 3 day stay and were very helpful in arranging an early (430am) wake up call and taxi to the airport. Our room, a junior suite, was very large, comfortable and clean.
was very nice
the staff were friendly and they know me as i stayed there several times. When we arrived we were told by the hotel that were having problem with airconditioning and they offered us a small suit instead of 2 rooms. this was not convinient as we both had to share one bathroom and te second bed was very small. anyway the hotel also offered dscount so we paid lower amount that what wa anticipated.
I like the location of the hotel and the staf friendly The room very small and no resturant in the hotel only one for breakfast its 3 star hotel not 4 star .
The location was good ,the bed was very comfortable and clean, and the daily breakfast was very nice.I would like to point out 2very nice and very helpful staff named Khalid and Corrina. Very small rooms no veiw. There was no irons or boards in the rooms you had to go to the5th floor wich was inconvenient
Great location. A mix-up with the room (King bed versus twins) was quickly remedied.
location unsafe when you walk further at night
I really enjoy the location og thr hotel, nearby metro station, close to some sigtseeing, close to LIDO, a lot of shopping areas. very long service of checkng out, no swimming pool.
Very comfortable bed Double bed turned out to be two single beds pusged together
the staff is very friendly room cleaness was not to the standard
It was a lovely hotel with really nice and helpful staff. I will not hesistate to re-book on my return to Paris for either pleasure or business
Everything is good but the rooms are sooo small ;). N.
The location, one block away from champs-elysee. Room was very small (single) the furniture and linens looked weathered. The bed was very uncomfortable. This is a new hotel on your listings so I didnt have a review to reference
the staff very friendly and helpful
The location is very strategic, not far from the heart of the city. The parking area in front of the hotel is too crowded
Cosy, well-designed hotel, centrally located for easy walking access to the heart of Paris. Rooms are on the small side, but very well planned and feel comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. For the price of the room, you would expect breakfast to be included and the internet is rather slow, which when you're traveling for business, is not great.
I really recomend this hotel as it was very convienet and very close to everything
The rooms are great as are the staff.
airconditioning was not very effective despite my changing the room.
Overal was good. Room service selection was limited in choices. I Bar only have French Menue and no English. No English Channel on TV only CNN. Mentioned above
Severly understaffed and any service requested takes quite a while. Rooms were not cleaned on on time, until we requested specifically to clean them in the evening. Turndown service was done on 1 day of 4. Used glasses from the minibar were not replaced for 3 days. Waited 1 hour for check-in after arriving at 4pm on a Friday. etc.
The Sofitel Hotel is well located and within walking distance of the Champ Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe as well as the Charles De Gaulle Metro. This allows for good connectivitey. There are also some good inexpensive eateries nearby. We mentioned that we were coming on the Honeymoon in our notes but we were treated as if I was the Sole occupier of the room. The Honeymoon touch was missing a bit especially since we read about another review who were treated specially for theri honeymoon.
The location is just fantastic - the hotel is located in 2 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, with nice shops and restaurants all around! Hotel staff is nice. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety, a bit expensive though (31 euros per person, free for kids). Free internet in room (luxury room). Variety of tv channels was very poor.
Hospitality of hoel staff At 29 euros per person, breakfast is quite expensive.
Atendimento da recepção e concierge. Housekeepers should make less noise and be more gentle when closing the room doors. They should start working after nine o´clock and attend the customers requirements more acurately. Matress is too softy and unconfotable and unable to provide a good sleeping.
Hotel Staff Unconfortable and old carpet.
Closeliness to the Gare de l'Est and other attractions. Especially the carpet could have been cleaner and the room a little bigger.
Near the rail way station The room price it's so expensive compare with the facilities that we received. But if the price is not the problems, I'll recomend to others traveller to stay in this hotel.
quiet misplaced my luggage, breakfast was to expensive for the empty baskets and plates. Didn't take breakfast the 2nd day.
the position is perfect when arring at Paris gare del est
It is not close to any of the tourist destinations. You had to take a cab or the metro to any of the sites. Our room was very small.
It was very close to the station and quiet easy for nearby shopping The Room is too small there is no space to move .
It was really cold in the bedroom, the heater didn't work properly.
Location was great, near lots of metro stations and close to everything. Easy walk to main train station that connects to Amsterdam. Comfortable, clean room. Our only issue was lots of noise (ppl on the streets) in the wee hours of the morning. If we stay again, we'll request a room not facing the train station. Very reasonably priced! We only stayed one night but were able to appreciate the courteous staff.
Proximity to Gare d'Est Railway Sation where we were arriving. Not good part of town, esp at night.
> Very convenient location to the Train Station and bus tours. > 30 min walking distance to the Pyramid/museum > Internet included > Reception is patient and very helpful > good restaurants within 5 min walking distance from hotel > Hotel is clean > I thought breakfast buffet -15 euro was expensive .. may be normal in Paris .. I brought my own cereal bars and took coffee outside
the hotel is very central of the city and near by the metro and bus and trainstation
O.K., I know its owned by Hyatt but It still felt boutiquey and small with a personal touch (as if not owned by Hyatt). The staff focused on attentive service, from the front desk, to room service, etc. Its clearly part of the staff culture. There is an intimate feel as if they all know each other--and everything about you. When I spoke to one front desk person they know a discussion I had with another the day before. The Concierge was amazing and made recommendations and the actual reservations and when things were not available made good judgments on his own for changes. We felt like they know us and were watching out for us. It is not that big really which helps in this case. The rooms felt well maintained with a terrific balance of old world and new. Highly Recommended!!!!
Concierge services are exceptional - special thanks to Eric, Remy, Magaly.
Excellent location, helpful staff, clean rooms, large and light bathrooms, really french atmosphere, close to most of the sightseeings and fashion boutiques. The decoration of rooms is a bit tired, but this is a problem of the most of the hotels in the centre of Paris.
it was next to the metro station
The quality of the rooms, decoration, and space are far far less than shown in the pictures and indicated in the hotel desciption.
The best about hte hotel is its location - just next to the Louvre, between two squares, walking distance to everything I wanted to visit (never took a taxi or any other kind of transport). The receptionists were English-speaking and nice and helpful. The room was spacey (stayed in a junior suit), as well as the bathroom, cosy and clean. In fact, everything in the room, as well as the service, could be compared to a 5* hotel (including the cosmetics in the bathroom). Plus, the free WiFi is a nice addition to all. The hall and the corridors need renewing - the first impression of the hotel lowers ones expectations because of the old and a bit dirty common spaces in the hotel. Another thing, is that the air-conditioning was poorly working and it was a bit hot, but I just turned it off and opened the windows from time to time. Also, unpleasant surprice was the thinnes of the walls - I could hear every slam of a door and footsteps, however, no one really made noise, so I slept like a baby. One more thing about noise is that the windows of my room overlooked an inner yard and when opening the window there was a bussying sound from the air-conditioning or other machines. Overall, these were quite minor problems and didn't spoil my stay in the least!
Great location ......just a short walk from some fantastic places of great interest. Buzzing cafe night life right on the doorstep too....good atmosphere in the hotel... It seemed expensive and the quality failed to match the expense....certainly for a pound based UK visitor. There was a shortage of helpful welcoming staff....particularly at reception where you face an unacceptable wait. Irritating.
The worst hotel Old smelly rooms , bad carpet dirty, wood very bad
Location, nice atmosphere On the expensive side
The welcoming and very helpful staff, cleanliness of rooms, and above all, the excellent location. The room service was poor. We had a baby and we used to order warm milk twice a day. They gave us hot milk one day, watered down the other, cold another, and so on, even though every day we asked for a glass of warm milk. I guess it all depends on who is on the shift.
Location and comfort.
Great traditional typical parisian 4* hotel. Excellent location. Wanted 100 euros to stay until 1:00pm for check-out. Offered me 12 noon free.
- light with sign "don't disturb"; - morning newspapers; - the bussiness room/Internet is always busy; - the lamp on the bed's table fall down several times per night; - this is no possibility to swith off the night light
the bathroom was excellent then room was on the small side
I was there for a business trip, and we rented their 'Manhattan' conference room for a presentation preparation. Very clean hotel and responsive staff. The location is very good. It's walking distance to the place de la concorde, the opera, madeleine, saint augustin, and other landmarks.
The massage I had was one of the best in my life...
Hotel Position. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. In general the rooms are small, and the hotel a bit "tired". Severe remodeling must be done to improve the hotel to deserve its price. 1) the hot water takes ages to come, I.E. no hot water recirculation pumps. 2) the room looks aged, and so did the bathroom. Not classic, but aged and overused, tired. For example "classic" weight scales that do not work. Why bother having them at all? 4) this ridiculous type fridge in the room! Charging as soon as you remove an item. I really dislike them. This is not a service fridge for cliens, it is a sales dispencer! It even has a note for a space 10cm by 10cm by 10cm "area for client". Like it is making a joke... ridiculous!!! 3) This hotel is very expensive for what it offers very bad value for money
the staff is very frindly and good services the hotel is too small and my opinion should be 4 stars NOT 5
It was clean. At least one staff was useful. The billing system when we booked online did not tell us the exact charges. It should give us the total figure for all the days, and not just the charges for one day/night. We thought the rate was one sum and when we got the bill we paid 4 times more. This was a bit confusing and embarassing. The online billing system misled us
Staff, room, breakfast, ambiance Gym bit small and wrong equipment
overnight befoe travelling on no
Very nice Hotel, the service was very good too.
The location is fantastic, and the service is 5 stars. The rooms are too small
