The quiet and beautifull environment. In the small room with smal towel without any handsoup and TV.
It was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Did not have tea and coffee making facilities in the room or the hotel. Had to go across the road to the local cafe for hot drinks and meals which was inconvenient.
The house is pretty with lots of flowers. Rooms are small but clean. If you go the lake by car, the location of this hotel is very good. breakfast is a little bit disapointing.
staff is nice, close to the plitvickie jezera breakfest was quite poor,, the room was clean but tiny like for 3 person, price too high for this condition
Location (very close to Plitvice park entrance); Breakfast is very poor. We had to pay in cash without notification (no cards accepted).
The building was neat, clean and tidy; the decor was good and the finishes excellent. Outside the building was decked with flowers and the setting in a National Heritage park hard to beat. Access by car was excellent. The room was good and efficient but extremely small. Clever use of space in the bathroom - a bit too clever.
I liked the friendly staff and the quiteness of the location There is no TV in the rooms; the only one is in the breakfast room and unfortuntaly it loses signal very often. The brekfast was very poor with no variety.
Location was nice, the enterance 2 to the national park was close. The rooms were not big, but clean and comfortable. Would come back here again.
We loved everything!! The family was so helpful and kind. The villa was wonderful and we had an amazing view of the sea from our balcony! It was just what we were looking for - quiet beauty, amazing private lagoon swimming, and relaxation. We can't wait to recommend this villa!
The lady in charge was extremely helpful. The Villa looked beautful and well kept Location was bit far from Gate 2 and the Villas should pool and keep local transport available for guests
The room is clean, tidy, comfortable and clean. The landlady, Borjana is very kind to let us use the kitchen to prepare the dinner. The house is close to the Mukinj stop. It takes only 20 minutes walking to the entrance 2 of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Nothing
They moved us to another renter of rooms, nice people but poor facility, therefore we didn't stay there more than one night. size of the room, the hight of the miror in the bath room & bath room facilities
The b and b was good, the breakfast was big and tasty. The people were friendly and picked up us from the bus station without request. The hot water heater was terrible.
I stayed at Villa Dada house for one night in September. It is a very nice family-run b&b, has a very friendly landlady, who makes a killer breakfast (this was by far the best breakfast I have had during my years as a b&b visitor). Room was clean and comfortable enough, all seems newly renovated. Wi-Fi is for free and was working all the time. Weather in late September can be a bit moody.
Very close to the park entrance, a lovely place to stay.
Room space, location, silence, breakfast. The best matress of 6 hotels we stayed this vacation! Breakfast starts too late - 8:00am.
The nice thing about this facility is that dinner is included, and it was quite good. Although the facility is new and clean, the rooms are not very well designed for convenience and comfort.
Our room was not cleaned on the first night, and only our towels were changed no the second night, again the room was not cleaned. Also the drinks were not included in the half board price, but there were no price lists on display and the staff did not inform you of the prices when you requested a drink with dinner. Also i think it should be clearer on the email confirmation that this hotel only accepts cash.
Diner could be included, very friendly staff. relaxed atmosphere
Villa Lycos is next to the Plitvice lakes natural reserve. It was a nice friendly place to spend the night before entering the park itself. We'd suggest to change a bit the evening dinner menue; to add some kind of soup and to cut the too big main course dish of fish or chicken.
Nice family hotel and very clean.
Lovely owners. Great food. comfortable rooms. Would recommend
hospitality and obliging service provided by owners
the availability of the staff and the spacious room bed too small (190cm) and not good, bathroom in the hall (as the booking hasn't taken into account that we were three!
Friendly nice atmosphere, the hotel owners are very helpful
The room and private bathroom were both a good size and well equipped. The bus stop is very close by which takes you straight to Pile Gate, and it's a short walk to Lapad's beach and also to Gruz harbour if you take any boat tours. This functions well as a hotel, but did not have the atmosphere of some of the smaller guesthouses we stayed in during our trip.
The hosts are fantastic. Every guest was raving about the service and meals.
Their food (fish:trout) that they cooked was beyond excellent. You cannot pay by credit card
Honest and anxious to please and to help, Owner drove out to locate us and show us the way, even though in the middle of serving meals Room was very basic, net curtains only, so could not keep out the light, No where to be able to sit other than meal area. Meals of limited choice
The hotel staff were very accomodating and drove us several times to the Plitvice National Park entrance a few kilometers away. Also, they made sandwiches for us to take with us from the left over food from our dinner the previous night. One thing that the staff could inform their guests who arrive without cars is that there is trail leading from behind Hotel Bellvue in Plitvice National Park to a small village about 300 meters from Ethno House (the name of this village bggins with M). This trail runs parallel to the very busy main road and avoids having to walk along this busy road to reach Ethno House.
We were dropped off by the bus in the town of Mukinje and called the owners of the hotel to find our way. They came and picked us up right away. They also drove us to the park entrance in the morning. Breakfast was good and dinner was delicious.
The owner Igor, was very helpful. He planned an itinerary for us, drove us to the park & after our walk took time off work to return us to the hotel. The location was very close to the bus stop. The breakfast was excellent. The "private facilities" were less than ideal. Our bathroom was across a hallway accessible to other guests. The plumbing had problems.
Owners were very kind and informative. The room was very spacious and well equipped. Ideally located to get to the national park. Breakfast was good value for money and well presented. On site parking facilites. Only thing that let the apartment down was the bathroom. This smelt because the toliet was broken and came away from the floor if you leant on one side more heavily than the other. I do feel this needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
The host was extremely helpful in shuttling me to and from the Plitvice park. Marija came to pick me up from the tourist office after she was called. Was cold at night (heat was shut off at 10 pm and the blankets were not warm enough).
Very nice place and service.
The staff are very helpful, rooms are clean, spacious & comfortable, breakfast are very good. I am very grateful to the house owner because they come to the busstop to pick me up at midnight. The roof drainage system is very noisy
The host was really helpful and picked us up when the bus dropped us too far. It is close walking distance to the park, through a lit up path. There is a bus stop seconds from their place but the bus driver did not drop us off there but it will pick you up there, no problem. The host will help you out with all that stuff. The host speaks very good English.
Great breakfast, nice rooms
The facility was spotless, owners were welcoming and helpful when we were lost (came and found us and guided us to Villa Katja. They provided a standard of service that is way beyond what is required of them.
Location, hosts kindness and availability, beauty of the region
The owner, Igor, was very helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay. We really appreciated him volunteering to tell us the best way to visit Plitvice Lakes, including the best walks and bus and ferry locations. Our room was a lovely place to rest after a long journey.
House Samardzic was just renovated and chalet-lodge decor in light wood result is attractive and pleasant; dining area space rising to a peaked roof and flanked by railing along open second floor loft. Our room was spacious, modern, well-outfitted, clean, good mattress, good hot water bathroom. Hostess Verica friendly and attentive, speaks English marginally (son speaks English), but not a problem for our needs. She offered a superior breakfast every morning: hot milk for freshly made coffee, breads, cheeses, jellies, cold meats, cereals, cookies, fresh fruit). Husband considerately drove us once to a supermarket, and when we left to bus shelter at entrance 2. There's a slight disadvantage (esp for bus travelers) in that it's 2 km from park entrance; a 15-20 minute walk on woodland path. But the hospitality and ambiance offset that.
The owner of House Samardzic are very nice, offer extra service to guests. The family was very friendly & nice to us. They even helped us do the laundry & drive us to the Plitvice Lakes entrance.
Very friendly people. Definitely a good choice!
hosts are exceptional, behaved very well with us, we felt like home. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the house is situated in nature from 1 km to the entrance No 2 in lakes - can complete the route on foot. we felt very good. I do not regret your choice.
The family was just lovely. They were full of great advice and suggestions. The husband took us to the park enterance both days and pick us up. The atomsphere was fantastic. Breakfast was also very good.
The owners are very warm people. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was excelent. I enjoyed my stay there allot.
Just lovely. Very nice room, breakfast was more than filling to give us energy to see the parks. Very helpful family, easy to navigate from bus stop. They even drove us to park entrance. Felt like we were staying at home. Nothing to dislike about this.
Mrs Samardzic was really gentle and always willing to help. We don't know if in this kind of hotels is usual but we though they were going to arrange the room (make beds. new towells...)
Friendly owner, the B&B is close to the National Park
rustic atmosphere, kindness of hosts. web didn't specify distance from park, said it was inside the aprk =wrong! luckily we had a car to get to the park. what do you do in case of depending on other transportation?
good place to stay, close to the entrance of the Plitvice Lakes.
This is a brand new premises clean and well appointed. Walking distance to Number 1 entrance to National Park. Friendly
very close to the entrance of the lakes.
The close location to entrance 1 of plitvice lakes national park. Father and daughter who looked after the breakfast room very good.
A comfortable, spacious apartment with a kitchen facility in a very good location relative to the lakes.
Excellent location. Newly renovated rooms were very well appointed and owners are also renovating the older rooms. We went there one day earlier and asked a room. They provided a room which was very basic. Comparing the 2nd night's room we booked, the room rate was very expensive.
The Plitvice Lakes were realy near to the B&B. Rooms are perfect and the family is very friendly. We have had a very good stay in Krizmanic Family B&B. nothing!
An extremely nice host and with very good facilities for a relaxing stay. Within walking distance of the Plitvice Lakes entrance so saved on parking costs. Quiet and peaceful area so able to relax in the garden
Location, value for money Can't think of anything
ALL, espeically the staff and the atmosphere NO
Little assistance given in advising guests about taking the trails around the park. No guidance. Had to buy a map from hotel shop and work it out for ourselves. Quite a mission when time is tight.
The location was great. We just walked down to the entrance to the national park. The view of the lake was beautiful.
it's proximity to the national park I found some of the staff in the restaurant a litte rude
Helpful staff and close to the national park. Rooms were comfortable. Internet access a plus. We also enjoyed the food -- nothing fancy but well prepared and nicely served at all hours.
The room were spacious and well equipped. The surroundings were great, Jezero National Park is wonderful.
location not worth the amount of money for the room
good breakfast, great location very short walk to park entrance
The Location and proximity to the Lakes Rooms were tired
Proximity to Plitvicka Lakes National Park.
Although I booked a single room, I was given a triple room (?!) with a balcony facing the lake. Staff are all very helpful and nice. Some staff at the restaurant cannot understand English very well, but it's still possible to communicate with them, with German or at least gestures. It's a bit far away from the bus stop at Entrance 2 (but I think not many people staying in this hotel take public transport like me).
Functional room and bathroom, close to the Plitvice np. Breakfast a bit meager, tough ok.
Villa Plitvicka is a beautiful B&B. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff, it has a log cabin feel, close to the Plitvice Lakes, Breakfast was more than enough, free internet. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was perfect.
Host/staff are friendly and helpful; breakfast arrangement good; accommodation average.
Good location for National Park. Booking was intended to include evening meal. The hotel had no restaurant. Could not and never had been provided. Had to look elsewhere for this service.
Good location, friendly owner. Mattress is very uncomfortable: old-school soviet springs yield backpain. Breakfast is very poor. I've never seen before such thin slices of ham and cheese - 0.5 mm! 2 slices per person. Instant coffee. Orange nectar instead of juice.
Clean and owner was friendly Rooms not acceptable. You could see my bed through a window from corridor
The fact that the owner accepts to change our room (room 4) after the first night of staying, the quiet of this area and the existence of very good parking places. The room 4 is rent only to make money and is an offense for the tourists that are coming there. The windows are in fact skylights and are opening in a kind of hall. In this room you do not have fresh air and natural light.
Fifteen minutes walking away from the park entrance, through a nice forest. There was a temporary problem with water supply in the morning.
The vila was center of village. So it was very convenienced for approaching to market and bus stop. Hostess was also very kind and gave a lot of information for Plitvice. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. People of next room were little bit noisy and the room has smoking smell.
The location was only about 2 km from the main entrance to the lakes complex. The breakfast was good and the evening meal was excellent value for money. Only one other eating place nearby and not of a high standard.
The staff was excellent, location perfect and very clean the shower drian did not drain well.
no arrangement room during staying
Very convenient to visit the national park (walkable) and the staff was very skilled for hospitality. Highly recommend!
Good location to access Plitvice Park by car. The food was a little non plain and basic. We opted for the dinner but may have been better off at the park.
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Lika. Our hostess was very warm and helpful and the location was excellent for our visit to Plitvice Lakes. The room was clean and breakfast was delicious.
It was a real family affair. Everyone was very helpful even down to doing a load of washing (muddy clothes) for us. Restful environment. Cooked an evening meal for us when we arrived late and had not ordered full board. Enjoyed our 2 nights. Thanks No internet but guess that was good allowed time out.
The vila is very beautiful and the room is comfortable. The staffs cannot speak much English but the body language can help. It takes about 25 minutes walk to the entrance of the National Park.
It was close to the park and clean. We booked a room for 4(2 adults and two kids) and were given a "family room" It had one large bed. My son was exploring the furniture and discovered that the chair folded out into a bed, which is good because the bed was far too small for all 4 of us. We were not given bedding for it.
The staff was very nice and helpful. They picked us up from the bus stop after midnight and even made us a snack that night. The food was great too!
the prices are very high, there is no tv and air condition in our room and the weather is really cold, on the other hand there is a terrible toilet smell in room
The room was correct and Helena was very nice person and gave us all informations and itinerary to visit the lakes . Her advise was greatly appreciated. The diner was very good - good quality-price .However the atmosphere was cold and the owner didn't care much about his guests.
The staff were very helpful and attentive and the property had a comfortable homely atmosphere Limited, repetitive food selection. Beware of hidden costs - only divulged at last minute with no prior information and no invoice or receipt provided. Owner accepts cash only - no card or other means of payment accepted. Property is not ideally suited to visitors with no car and the main hotels offer a better location.
The helpfulness of the owner; personal interest/attention of staff
The relaxed atmosphere, the amazing amount of food for the evening meal, the dvd of the lakes and on the day it rained, information on where to go and the rain coats they provided. The tea and coffee at breakfast was never really hot.
Nice quiet place near Plitvice Lakes. Good road from Zagreb.
The warmth of the staff
The dinner and breakfast are great with plenty of good local food. This was the reason we chose the hotel and the food did not disappoint and it was worth the extra price we paid for the room as it was a bit more expensive than other similar lodging in the area. Overall, the experience was exactly what we expected. A clean and simple room with great food close to the lakes. You could hear plumbing from the room upstairs.
Family was very nice and meals were fresh & tasty. It was a bit hard to find since we arrived after dark.
Its location. Fridge supplied. Need to be more environmentally frienly- ie suggest that towel only be washed when necessary. Fridge was overheating on outside- needed ventilation.
Location in the park, friendly staff, wonderful food, very comfortable food. We were delighted with the hotel...everything about it.
The location. The reataurant was also good value. Whilt efficient, the staff were not friendly. The air conditioning did not wrk in our room, in fact it was hating, we wedre not told about this until the following morning, on the checkout. We were not offered an alternative room.
Beautiful setting. Very good restaurant. nice staff. Clean and comfortable and very quiet. Great breakfast Heating up far too high - uncomfortable and a waste of energy
great location, very close to lakes and as we travelled by bus ease and close to bus stop No
Ease of access to park, friendly and very helpful staff Rooms are reminiscent of a college dorm room.
shower works well, hot water plentiful, comfortable bed. hotel difficult to find, no signs. Staff unfriendly, refused to allow us to check out one hour late. Poor use of space inside the building, odd design. No elevator. Way overpriced for this class of hotel.
The location is perfect and the park is exquisite. The hotel has nice public spaces. Our air conditioning did not work properly and we could not keep the windows open because of the mosquitos (no window screens).
Nice setting and good location for visiting the park. The air conditioning did not work properly and made the night very unconfortable.
The location to the park was excellent!
location is perfect, walking distance to entrance 1 (the more beautiful part of plitvice lake) and the best restaurant in town (opposite to ent 1). the owner is very nice (though don't speak much english), breakfast is good too, room is good and tidy enough for sobe.
friendly the weather
This is a guest house which was easy to find by car. Traditional Croatian home with basic facilities. Ok for one night. The host was nice and despite her poor English, she a good effort to make us feel at home.
The owner lady was very kind. Only Croatian and German speaking no English... German is also not very good, but sufficient for basic communication.
Near to the Plitvice lakes Not easy to find
It was clean. the people where kind. and it has a very nice peace and quiet stay.
quiet place, clean room, friendly owners; breakfast is available for 6 euro per person; there was a place for car parking the only point - there was no soap in the bathroom
We rented a 2 person room; not too large but in a quiet neighbourhood close to the Plitvice Lakes. Friendly owners. Possibility of having breakfast. Good value for the price paid.
The house is near the park, it is down a long road so you feel like you are staying on a farm. Beautiful county. The room had beds for four. The owners were nice and gave us milk for our tea. The refrigerator did not work. We put our food outside, it was cold outside and our food stayed cold. The home is in an area with no town. The owners could make extra money by offering breakfast. The shower never got hot. The street the room was on had rooms for rent at almost every house. Next time I would look for a room closer to the main road and a house that offered breakfast.
very quiet and clean and close to the lakes very claustrophobic and small, no breakfast but cafe nearby
in the middle of nature, silent surroundings, basic facilities (a clean room to sleep, extra blankets, new and clean bathroom, TV), friendly owners the hot water in the morning was a little bit cold
The owners of the guest house were very friendly: if you are by bus, get out at entrance 1, not at entrance 2 which we did. It is too far and dangerous to walk. Luckily the owner of the guest house picked us up after calling them and dropped us off at the entrance of the park where we could store our bags before taking the bus. The room was big and clean, the water wasn't very warm though.
the people was very nice and helpfull. They pick us at 2 am in the bus stop and took us the next day to the park.
Friendly people, dropped us off for our bus in the morning and even dropped off the shoes later on that my boyfriend had forgotten..
breckfest excellent, big and clean room nice laydy
Near to Plitvice lakes, in a silent location Only one extra blanket. It was cold in the night. Very slow internet
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, facilities were great (always had hot water), and the breakfast was gorgeous! & set you up for the day :) The lady of the house even gave us cake on our 2nd night.. It was a fair walk from where the bus dropped us off (2km) but this isn't the fault of House Ana, it's more suited to those arriving by car than bus/foot.
Very kind people, home and room new and clean, easy to find, 3km away from the park.
Cleanliness, kindness of the owners, position very close to Plitvice entrance (you need a car)
