Nice location and good view I didn`t have much time to have breakfasr because of the train.(Londa 08:58) I hope it starts at least from 7:30.
Central location with numerous places to eat. Great views over the valley. 20 euros per day car parking.
room, breakfast, ambient, position
The balcony of our room and the view were outstanding. The room was large, bright, and comfortable.
Location most definately!
The hotel was very well located. Easy to find and easy to park. These things matters much in old historic places. Top notch! The room was spacious, and even though we did not have the superior room we had a lovely small terrasse (all rooms have terrasses) with a nice view. We were very happy in the hotel and the city of Ronda.
Nothing Over priced. We cancelled our stay after viewing the smelly room with aircondition that doesn't work because the hotel is switching it to a cooling system only in May. We had 30 degrees in the room.
Buautiful place on the bridge. The place itself must see sight. 20Euro parking fee for one night.
Amazing location, facility, service, food. Even parking. This is the second time I have stayed here and cannot say enough about the staff- superb! Especially Jesus- who has gone above and beyond each time to ensure our stay was terrific!
This parador is an enchanting place. Once you get to it you just forget the outside world and could stay there forever with time standing still. The location is it's main feature and the layout brings out the best views of the countryside around Ronda. Maybe not affordable to everyone.
Perched on the cliffside, this hotel is one of the best. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and the swimming pool overlooked the valley below. The breakfast was also fantastic.
Very central. Old fashioned hotel but perfect for one night. Friendly staff.
The hotel is in a great location, in the center of Ronda, and the entire staff and owner are very friendly.
A really nice hotel with good facilities and parking. The shopping and tourist spots are all around this hotel and as long as you remembr that the shops use the antiquated system closing 2 to 5pm you will have a good time although 1 night will be enough to see everything local. We had a pleasent stay and then moved to the coast for entertainment because there is not much of that here in Ronda.
We chose suite which had sitting area as well. No evidence we could be served coffee later in the evening
Very central location, right in the town centre and close to all tourist attractions. Parking is difficult in Ronda and the hotel's own underground car park is a big advantage. Staff were extremely efficient and friendly. The buffet breakfast was of a very good standard for the type of hotel.
Even though this was a four star hotel the staff could not be more welcoming so far as the storage of our (rather dirty) bicycles were concerned. They were locked away in a special room - that is what I call hospitality, unlike some hotels I could mention.
Hotel was centrally located and was clean, confortable and of very good standard. I left my shoes in the rooom and they promptly couriered themmto me which was greatly appreciated. WiFi in rooms which is very convenient. We used the cafe for breakfast which was "good' but suggest eating our for dinner.
Location close to Puente Nuevo and arena, stuff very helpful, a lot of bars and restorans in the area.
Location. Friendly english speaking staff.
Great location, very convenient parking
Nice staff,nice clean room.Excellent price.
Friendly staff noisy corridors as all bare marble floors
Very kind receptionist guy!
Little hotel in the center of Ronda. Little rooms but comfortable and clean
The hotel was conveniently located in Ronda, just a few minutes walk from the breathtaking views of the gorge. The breakfast arrangement with a nearby cafe was quite good. The young staff were a pleasure to deal with. I would not think twice about staying there again, but for the pillows. The pillows were like sandbags, hard & unyielding.
Very friendly, at check out I even received a small bottle of the local wine.
The location is very good. It is close to the bus station, train station and the old town. The room and the bathroom are clean. The girl at the reception can speak some English. I have to check out early in the morning so I asked her if there is somebody early in the morning. She said yes. But next morning when I came downstairs, there is nobody and the reception room is closed.
cleanliness of room; location a fridge would be a welcome addition to the room facilities
Comfortable, clean and quiet room. Poor breakfast at the cafe where smoking was allowed. Parking quite far away from the hotel.
Very good location and very fair price. Triple room was very small. It is very difficult to move our lagage around. However, for what we paid, it is fair.
It has the charm of a small hotel, excellent service and in the center The breakfast can be improved, but it was ok
the location and friendly staff, very nice little hotel which we will be using again.
The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Alex at reception was lovely and very helpful. The cafe is excellent! Can't think of a thing. Great location and lovely accommodations.
elevator is out of order
Location of Hotel Lack of parking and elevator out of action
Relacting, very spahish and well kept. A fantastic place.
The location just 4 km from Ronda was perfect for either relaxing away from crowds or as a base for exploring the region. The small number and style of rooms made you feel as though you were in your own cottage - again perfect. Being on an active ranch, it was a pity you could not hire any horses there but had to travel into Ronda to do that.
Beautiful country location. Very clean interesting well kept facility. Friendly staff
The staff was very friendly, cosy apartment, large swimmingpool and all the animals of this very beaitful location. Total relax in the countryside we had nothing to complain, the positive guest reviews reflect our experience(we are family with 1 child of 8 years)
Quietness. Mountain lovation, beautiful horses. Website gives the impression you can ride from here. When asked at reception we were told the riding is not done from the hotel. Riding was 3 hours and cost £45. We emailed the hotel prior to going to find out prices and when we could ride and they failed to provide this information.
The location was central in Ronda The rooms had a smokey smell.
Hotel staff were friendly, rooms clean and adequate for a short stay.
Great value! Good breakfast included in the price and the room was pleasant.
The location to the center of the town is excellent. The park across the street is great as you can take walks in the evening with an excellent view of the valley. The corridor of the hotel looks great, but once you get into your room, watch out! We have asked for a quiet room for our 5 night stay, but got this noisy & smelly deal. What I didn't like was the foul smell from the bathroom, which was more less like a sewer backed up. We had to leave the bathroom door closed at all times, as this was quite revolting. This hotel is recommended by Rick Steves in his book on Spain, but he obviously didn't stay in our room! Understandably, he cannot guarantee all his hotels that he recommends.
Central position near gorge. Easy to drop in with shopping.
the locaton very near to the centre.
Great location in Ronda Not impressed by breakfast buffet
Stuff very friendly, all nice and clean, air-conditioning smooth and quiet - best nights sleep inhere! Great breafkfast too.
its central location and value for money. poor sound insulation between rooms and corridor
We were impressed with the service, cleanliness and location of the Hotel Royal in Ronda. It is ideally located and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is also an excellent value for the price. I really cannot report anything that I did not like.
Free parking ( no reservation required) ; very important in Ronda.Good-sized room , very comfortable. Wonderful views from our balcony. May be an issue with sound-proofing between rooms though we were not really troubled.
gardens and view staff mediocre, some facilities in poor repair
VHotelery plesant staff and Very comfortable Resturant Menu quite limited
The room was beautiful. The location was close to the center of town and the view of the mountains was peaceful. The staff was nice and the we enjoyed our stay. The bed was not that comfortable and the water was not as hot as I would have liked. I like hot showers.
the viez no street signs saying where it was
Views and position No information as to facilities activities or local area except one brochure about the bull ring!! Amazing
its location in Ronda balcony rooms with spectacular views hot water very scarce
The location and gardens. Also we were given a room with an attractive view. Spacious room, comfortable and clean. Our room suffered from the smell of damp: water had seeped in from the bathroom above?
The setting. The views were wonderful and our room had a private terrace so we could enjoy them even more. We dined at the hotel and the food was very disappointing. I had the pasta which contained three cm squares of meat and one slice of mushroom. That is absolutely true! My friends' meals were equally tasteless. The hotel is also in need of some serious TLC but the former glory still shows through and we will stay again, but only eat there if they hire a chef!
We like the hotel's proximity to town and the fabulous views of the valley below Ronda, especially from the hotel balcony. Reception staff members were helpful. The food in the restaurant was good, too. Creaky wooden floors in the very long hallways. The overall sense that the hotel's "golden" days are well behind it.
Hotel décor, design and ambience. Breakfast was incredibly poor and whilst staff were friendly, they seemed stretched as there wasn't enough working.
Very friendly staff, also the hotel is in the centre of toen Nothing
Great location right by the bridge over the gorge and next to the bullring. Staff was very friendly even walking us out to the car with umbrellas when we were leaving because it was raining.
The location was outstanding and the room offered us a view of Ronda. The staff were helpful at all times and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Not a 4 Star by any means but more like a 2/2.5.Therefore very expensive and somewhat disappointing. Room was tired - Breakfast was very limited and the back of the building with no natural light.
very little , this is not a four star hotel. It offers none of the facilities accociatedx with this categorty of hotel, the price was fair enough for what it was but it self was a major disappointment
Great location, very professional staff, very comfortable room, original design! Nothing to complain about!
Value for money. Location so long as we insisted upon rooms with view. Problem of parking arrangements; having to enter via paid parking area where personnel insisted we pay even though hotel has arrangements.Hotel staff challenged the parking staff but we had already had to pay!this has gone on apparently for 6 years but still isn't resolved!
Location of the hotel is good. Rooms are modern, but there is not nearly enough light in the rooms. In the evening you seem to be wandering around in a sort of semi-darkness. Staff at reception spoke hardly any English. Breakfast very basic. Better to have breakfast somewhere else.
View and close to everything
easy access to sites, very friendly staff
Overall the hotel was good, friendly staff, good location, good wifi. Parking not too far away. My only complaint was the carpeting in the bedroom. It was old and stained so you couldn't tell if it was clean or not.
location + value for money + cheap parking possibility
It was very central. A beautiful town.
Nice little hotel Good location No parking facilities.
Visited Grazelema and walked in the NAture Reserve No teat/coffee making facilities in the room
The triple room is big. NONE
Good value Dirty Room Carpet
clean and convenient no real dislikes - just a simple easy to use hotel
Location was good.
Central location and ease of parking
Breakfast was good-staff (most)were helpful.Room was heated well.Shower was nice.Towels a little thin.
Todo bien la verdad. Muy aconsejable.
Swimming-pool, free internet access, dinners and self-service bar A bit out of the way but actually liked the quietness and beauty of the surrounding mountains.
The nice surroundings, beautifull room, nice swimming pool no refrigirator in the room only very expensive food at the restaurant.
very peaceful and relaxing hotel in unique building. great food. not easy to find but actually once arrived it was not difficult to find.
It's right in the middle of olive plantation which gives a whole different feeling. Charmingly decorated. Limited choices in the restaurant. One of the menu items not available. Finding the hotel not so easy.
The suroundings and the way you are welcomed by the staff was fantastic. It was an all round fabulous Spanish experiance! Great!
Very friendly staff, even if we arrived after official closure of kitchen, we still got our dinner (because the place is quite isolated, without alternatives for eating late in the evening). Real nice room, splendid courtyard and garden.
An extremely friendly and welcoming hotel in a beautiful location The access road is very rough in places.
The hotel is very charmy. A small hotel with a good hotel service on a nice location (about 20 min. drive from Ronda). The hotel was the first time a bit difficult to find. But it was
excellent location for my needs; high standard of comfort/facilities for my needs Excellent food, but portions rather small
staff and location, a pleasant respite from ronda and great food they are upgrading the road in and it is needed.
nice rooms and facilities a bit noisy street and the breakfast quality should be improved
It was a quiet place. lack of parking room
Friendly staff, even let us choose between two rooms since we were with a child. Good location, walking distance from the old city.
Very friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Nice breakfast. Not bad location. Elevator. No wi-fi. The room we got was in the attic, so we couldn't stand in most of the room's surface. We weren't informed ahead that this would be the situation.
Well located for the tourist attractions. The cold shower. Don't stay here unless you like to start the day with a cold shower.
Clean hotel and friendly personnel with the best English language skills so far on our trip through Spain.
Friendly, Spanish hosts. Cute room.
Very beautiful room for a low price! In the centre of Ronda. It was a little hard to find a parking place - but we did this as well.
Staff very nice and helpful, right in middle of city, easy walk for all tourist areas. We were kept awake all night with street revellers, and racing cars and bikes, up till 5.30am. But it was Saturday night, and hotel staff couldn´t really have done anything, although there was no hotel staff working after 11.pm
The rooms were clean and modern. It was not far to the centre of Ronda within easy walking distance. The breakfast room was a bit gloomy
Staff was super friendly and the view is simply breath taking (if you take a room with a view that is). Hotel is very central and very charming. The room smelled of sewer. The hotel seems to be aware of it but so far unable to do anything about it.
A charming hotel nestled on a cliff edge and close to the Town centre, oozing with character and definitely one of the smallest outdoor swimming pools, but at the same time with the most amazing views. Our room was compact, but ample for two and the decoration was ornate, a wonderful romantic feel to the whole place, clean and friendly with helpful smiling staff The only improvement would have been coffee making facilities in the room
The girl at reception is very pleasant, chatty and speaks good english. The hotel is beautiful with a lovely patio and great views and its great for visiting the whole town on foot as its right in the middle and everything is five minutes away. The room and bathroom are quite small but ok for a short stay.
Reserved the room with view and it did not dissapoint us. Hotel was not large, but had very airly rustic feeling. The room and bathroom was large and tempreture was controlled automatically by sensor. It had adjoining restaurant with even better view and excellent dinner selection. Although it is not a part of hotel, they served the breakfast at this restaurant as well. Hotel staffs were very warm and nice. I had to print out some E-mail attachement and they let me print out from public room PC to front office printer. WIFI worked fine in our room as well.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly. The hotel is right on the edge of the gorge near to the bridge. The view from the restaurant as the sun sets is very special, the food is good too. It might be a good idea to check out what's happening in the town such as bull fights and festivals. There's some interesting things if you go at the right time. Parking is a nightmare, but you're in a Spanish hilltop town with a Moorish history. What do you expect!!!
The position of the hotel, overlooking the Ronda gorge is very spectacular. The staff were extremely nice and freindly. The meal, the setting and the service was exquisite. The room was very comfortable but we would have liked a room overlooking the gorge but we booked on a late booking and there was only one room left. Nothing
Very good standard of the Hotel. Beautiful rooms and nice terrace with an astonishing view. Excellant restaurant with good food and a nice selection of wines. No internet computer available for guests.
Personal approach and friendliness of staff made the whole family relax and enjoy the stay. In addition staff knew the area well and gave good advice for what to see and how to travel.
The view from our room was breathtaking. Parking is a little way away but that is true of most city hotels. A wonderful experience and helpful staff.
The location is excellent alongside the cliff edge at Ronda. The dining room looks over the edge and towards the bridge. Book a car park as it's just up the street and the staff help you in and out with the car, but it only has 4 spaces so book early!
Food and fantastic views/history.
We travelled through Spain for three weeks and this was the best hotel we stayed in .. and many others were lovely hotels. The facilites and the service were excellent. We particularly appreciated the plan of the walking tour we were given when we arrived. What a great idea. We would happily recommend this hotel to our friends.
The quaintness (is that a word?) really unique hotel The heating was only on for part of the day.. without exception this is the first hotel I've stayed at that was rather cold - the rads were only on from 6-10 and in the mornings, really needed them to be on all the time as it was frrrreeeeezing in Ronda!!
Amazing. Perfect location, gorgeous room and incredibly nice and helpful staff. Five stars.
We were given the bridal suite as it was our honeymoon at no extra charge - something we thought was wonderfull - Thank You The staff are muy simpatico y amable
The room, the ambience, the courtyard, the location, No. The only slight disappointment was the breakfast.
Unlike most hotels the san gabriel has enormous charm, courtesy of its previous role as a private home, dating from the C17. The interior decor is quite remarkable. As well, the knowledge and courtesy of management was far above what one normally encounters in hotels.
The room was large and absolutely delightful. I loved the decoration of the hotel, which was equal to its description on the web site. The hotel staff was very helpful, even asking us where we were going next and giving us directions to Cordoba and a map of that city.
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent and useful literature on what do do in and around ronda, and how best to do it, great breakfast, fantastic dining recommendations. Really beautiful hotel, immaculately kept, peaceful, relaxing, homely, and wonderful spacious room. We will be back. Many thanks to all the staff. I cannot think of any faults at all.
This is a family run hotel, and their friendly and helpful approach towards us as guests made our stay a most enjoyable one. Excellent position and service.
great hotel, very very special hotel. Never have seen something like that!
A great breakfast, free drinks and a games room! Staff friendly and helpful. Not easy to find, at the bottom of a hill (130 steps to climb to go into town). Very noisey, walls paper thin...
We liked the pool, the friendly helpful staff, the quantness, the fantastic breakfast & the fact that all drinks are included. A little bit difficult to get to, although Ronda is not the easiest place to navigate in that part of the town.
Everything. Great location, fabulous staff, wonderful amenities. This is a great, funky little hotel that I would receommend to everyone and would stay again in a heartbeat. We had a great room with a terrace and the hotel has open bar (help yourself 24/7) to drinks and coffee. The location couldn't be better and the staff was wonderful - they give each guest a tour of the hotel and you need one to find all the hidden treasures (like the stones in the aquarium you walk across to access the garden - very cool). Rooms large and comfortable!!!
Great value for money. Fab breakfast and loads of facilitis for chilling out.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff The decor and ambience is great One can self serve drinks The breakfast is fantastic NO
A fun hotel, with many surprises and plenty of places to just enjoy 'being'. The free drinks policy added to the feeling of welcome, beyond its cash worth. We didn't like the ventilation system. We got too much 'bathroom' smell in the room, and faint cigarette smoke odours seemed to be carried on the centralised system. Our visit was in July and we woke in the night, too hot. It seems the hotel switched off the cooling system in the small hours. It seemed strange to give free drinks yet skimp on the airconditioning. Yet our overall experience of this hotel is still very positive.
This hotel was wonderful--a highlight of our trip. The decor was fun and eclectic; the location great; the staff helpful. They were also so very generous--complimentary drinks including wine, sherry and beer. And the breakfast which also was complimentary was unbelievably generous and tasty. nothing -- a great place.
This is a quirky but magical hotel, with gardens leading from courtyard to balcony with lovely country views. Our room was imaginatively furnished and the bar/breakfast room is startling. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I loved this hotel!! Among the 8 hotels I stayed at in Spain, this hotel was the most comfortable and the most impressive one for me. The location was good. The staffs were very friendly. The inside facilities were excellent, esp. the garden and the small library. When I go to Ronda again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Not at all.
It was too far away from the town center, and roads around area are windy and not light well for night driving.
Very handy to visit Ronda , just outside the city on the way to Sevilla. Very calm and sunny pool!
Location was ideal for touring, hotel was nicely decorated and rooms of good quality road works currently being undertaken close by.
The room was large
You could have a good view of Spains countryside. There was nice art at hotel rooms walls. We waited 40min to get service at reception. There was no restaurants, bars or pools open the whole day. Hotel was at countryside, so we could not go anywhere else. We starved at the hotel room and there was nothing else to do than just watch TV. We actually went to ask hotels staff to give us some proper food because we were very very hungry, but the best they could do was potato chips, toasts and vine and they charged 20 euros from it. It was very noisy till the 23:00 so we could not even sleep. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was the worst hotel experience in my life, and I have been in many hotels. Definetly not a "four-star" hotel. This hotel partially ruined our Ronda-trip because we were very tired on next day.
I liked everything about this hotel. The receptionist even helped me get an entrance permission faxed at the last moment to the nearby National Park. Muchas Gracias! I had thought that it was in town but, once there, I didn't mind that it was 7km from town as it was the nicest place that we stayed on our trip to Spain.
Personnal at the hôtel welcoming . Authentic Spanish atmosphere A little bit too far from the centrum of Ronda. Along the highway
Not much, paid for a junior suite. It wasn't it was a fair size room only and as such very overpriced. As above. Supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Did't either look or feel like one!
Friendly and efficient staff.
The room was very good The breakfast was not soo good
A little gem, with all you could ask for in a full service hotel in the countryside a couple of kilometers outside Ronda. Bed was a bit hard
Great location,Very clean & tidy
Staff were quick to help with any concerns No one realy could work out how to stop the aircon.
The hotel is well priced, in comparison with other hotels in and around Ronda. It is an adequate hotel, within easy distance from the town. I would not recommend it for more than one night, it's ideal if you're travelling around Andalusia. There seems to be a nice pool outside, but since I stayed here end of november, of course did not enjoy that. Staff were very friendly. The location is close to the highway, which is handy, but not scenically interesting.
Lovely clean room, helpful staff.
very pleasant staff, clean rooms, nice pool, good food. road noise very bad,as was the air con.
We asked to change rooms immediately we checked in as the balcony was next to a large air vent from the kitchen. We thought the room decor was out-dated and rather shabby. We sat on the balcony in the evening but there was a strong smell of drains every few minutes which meant we had to go inside. We had a car and were able to travel into Ronda but otherwise the location was not very convenient for sight-seeing. Overall, the price per night was very expensive, and did not reflect the accomodation. A budget price would have been more reasonable.
Rooms were impeccably clean and staff courteous and friendly Breakfast was overpriced and rather disorganised. Its situation 2 km from the town was a problem, given that parking in Ronda is difficult to impossible
A well run hotel with excellent modern facilities. The out door pool was and bar/restaurant facilities weere good for a budget hote.
rooms modern and clean location supposed to be quiet but situated on main road constant noise.
The hotel os well situares, its very small and cozy, clean and cute. Wonderful fluffy towels and a comfy bed. La señora Nieves is a very caring perdón. She knew what we needed before I did!
Lovely house full of character. Great location for sight-seeing
Bookings at Hotel Ronda are allocated into one of two establishments - "Hotel Ronda" or "Baraka". We were lucky enough to have stayed at the Baraka which is a very idyllic Andalusian house in one of the winding cobbled streets in Ronda's old town. It is rare to be able to stay in a Spanish home complete with white washed walls and inner courtyard and still have total privacy. wonderful stay
It was like staying in a private home and Nieves (the owner) and Rocio (her niece) were excellent hosts.
very welcoming and pleasant. Like a B & B with no breakfast - besides coffee in the lobby - plus cookies and a fruit bowl. We liked it enough to stay twice. Free internet. parking in the narrow streets is difficult and a very small car is best by far. Bathroom lacks ventilation. No bathtub.
Very friendly, great location, easy to find.
The welcome at Hotel Ronda was so friendly and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The location is right in the middle of all the places to visit, close to the bridge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were all delighted with our choice and our stay.
the friendliness of the owner basically, i felt it was over priced for what it was.
It was perfect!
The interior of the room was very tastfull. The hotel owner was very good
This small boutique hotel is beautiful -- and the owner and host, Marivi, was exceptionally gracious and helpful.
very stylish little hotel. hostess wonderful and great cook. walking distance to old part of town. recommened
A small hotel (3 rooms) a short uphill walk from the old town. Lovely, modern, comfortable chic style hotel, spotlessly clean. We were upgraded to the suite. Breakfast was good and the lady owner offered to cook fresh food for you.
We stayed at this small hotel in November 10. Our room was very comfortable and well presented. The restaurant served excellent food. The proprieter was very welcoming and created a very nice atmosphere.I would definitely stay again if in Ronda. There was nothing to dislike about our stay in Aire De Ronda. Marivi the owner provided us with tea or coffee whenever we asked, however it would have been nice to have the facility in the room.
Recently opened, most likely the best place to stay in Ronda. Friendly and excellent service, nice room, good breakfast.
The design, the food, and the service. That they only have three rooms.
