Location most definately!
Buautiful place on the bridge. The place itself must see sight. 20Euro parking fee for one night.
Nothing Over priced. We cancelled our stay after viewing the smelly room with aircondition that doesn't work because the hotel is switching it to a cooling system only in May. We had 30 degrees in the room.
Nice location and good view I didn`t have much time to have breakfasr because of the train.(Londa 08:58) I hope it starts at least from 7:30.
Amazing location, facility, service, food. Even parking. This is the second time I have stayed here and cannot say enough about the staff- superb! Especially Jesus- who has gone above and beyond each time to ensure our stay was terrific!
The balcony of our room and the view were outstanding. The room was large, bright, and comfortable.
Perched on the cliffside, this hotel is one of the best. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and the swimming pool overlooked the valley below. The breakfast was also fantastic.
The hotel was very well located. Easy to find and easy to park. These things matters much in old historic places. Top notch! The room was spacious, and even though we did not have the superior room we had a lovely small terrasse (all rooms have terrasses) with a nice view. We were very happy in the hotel and the city of Ronda.
room, breakfast, ambient, position
Central location with numerous places to eat. Great views over the valley. 20 euros per day car parking.
This parador is an enchanting place. Once you get to it you just forget the outside world and could stay there forever with time standing still. The location is it's main feature and the layout brings out the best views of the countryside around Ronda. Maybe not affordable to everyone.
It has the charm of a small hotel, excellent service and in the center The breakfast can be improved, but it was ok
elevator is out of order
The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Alex at reception was lovely and very helpful. The cafe is excellent! Can't think of a thing. Great location and lovely accommodations.
Location of Hotel Lack of parking and elevator out of action
the location and friendly staff, very nice little hotel which we will be using again.
Very friendly staff, also the hotel is in the centre of toen Nothing
Great location, very professional staff, very comfortable room, original design! Nothing to complain about!
Hotel décor, design and ambience. Breakfast was incredibly poor and whilst staff were friendly, they seemed stretched as there wasn't enough working.
very little , this is not a four star hotel. It offers none of the facilities accociatedx with this categorty of hotel, the price was fair enough for what it was but it self was a major disappointment
View and close to everything
Location of the hotel is good. Rooms are modern, but there is not nearly enough light in the rooms. In the evening you seem to be wandering around in a sort of semi-darkness. Staff at reception spoke hardly any English. Breakfast very basic. Better to have breakfast somewhere else.
Great location right by the bridge over the gorge and next to the bullring. Staff was very friendly even walking us out to the car with umbrellas when we were leaving because it was raining.
Value for money. Location so long as we insisted upon rooms with view. Problem of parking arrangements; having to enter via paid parking area where personnel insisted we pay even though hotel has arrangements.Hotel staff challenged the parking staff but we had already had to pay!this has gone on apparently for 6 years but still isn't resolved!
The location was outstanding and the room offered us a view of Ronda. The staff were helpful at all times and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
easy access to sites, very friendly staff
Not a 4 Star by any means but more like a 2/2.5.Therefore very expensive and somewhat disappointing. Room was tired - Breakfast was very limited and the back of the building with no natural light.
Overall the hotel was good, friendly staff, good location, good wifi. Parking not too far away. My only complaint was the carpeting in the bedroom. It was old and stained so you couldn't tell if it was clean or not.
It was very central. A beautiful town.
Location was good.
Nice little hotel Good location No parking facilities.
Good value Dirty Room Carpet
The triple room is big. NONE
Central location and ease of parking
Visited Grazelema and walked in the NAture Reserve No teat/coffee making facilities in the room
location + value for money + cheap parking possibility
clean and convenient no real dislikes - just a simple easy to use hotel
Breakfast was good-staff (most)were helpful.Room was heated well.Shower was nice.Towels a little thin.
Todo bien la verdad. Muy aconsejable.
The rooms were clean and modern. It was not far to the centre of Ronda within easy walking distance. The breakfast room was a bit gloomy
Friendly, Spanish hosts. Cute room.
Very friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Nice breakfast. Not bad location. Elevator. No wi-fi. The room we got was in the attic, so we couldn't stand in most of the room's surface. We weren't informed ahead that this would be the situation.
Staff very nice and helpful, right in middle of city, easy walk for all tourist areas. We were kept awake all night with street revellers, and racing cars and bikes, up till 5.30am. But it was Saturday night, and hotel staff couldn´t really have done anything, although there was no hotel staff working after 11.pm
Clean hotel and friendly personnel with the best English language skills so far on our trip through Spain.
Very beautiful room for a low price! In the centre of Ronda. It was a little hard to find a parking place - but we did this as well.
nice rooms and facilities a bit noisy street and the breakfast quality should be improved
Friendly staff, even let us choose between two rooms since we were with a child. Good location, walking distance from the old city.
Well located for the tourist attractions. The cold shower. Don't stay here unless you like to start the day with a cold shower.
It was a quiet place. lack of parking room
Very good standard of the Hotel. Beautiful rooms and nice terrace with an astonishing view. Excellant restaurant with good food and a nice selection of wines. No internet computer available for guests.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly. The hotel is right on the edge of the gorge near to the bridge. The view from the restaurant as the sun sets is very special, the food is good too. It might be a good idea to check out what's happening in the town such as bull fights and festivals. There's some interesting things if you go at the right time. Parking is a nightmare, but you're in a Spanish hilltop town with a Moorish history. What do you expect!!!
Personal approach and friendliness of staff made the whole family relax and enjoy the stay. In addition staff knew the area well and gave good advice for what to see and how to travel.
The girl at reception is very pleasant, chatty and speaks good english. The hotel is beautiful with a lovely patio and great views and its great for visiting the whole town on foot as its right in the middle and everything is five minutes away. The room and bathroom are quite small but ok for a short stay.
The location is excellent alongside the cliff edge at Ronda. The dining room looks over the edge and towards the bridge. Book a car park as it's just up the street and the staff help you in and out with the car, but it only has 4 spaces so book early!
Reserved the room with view and it did not dissapoint us. Hotel was not large, but had very airly rustic feeling. The room and bathroom was large and tempreture was controlled automatically by sensor. It had adjoining restaurant with even better view and excellent dinner selection. Although it is not a part of hotel, they served the breakfast at this restaurant as well. Hotel staffs were very warm and nice. I had to print out some E-mail attachement and they let me print out from public room PC to front office printer. WIFI worked fine in our room as well.
A charming hotel nestled on a cliff edge and close to the Town centre, oozing with character and definitely one of the smallest outdoor swimming pools, but at the same time with the most amazing views. Our room was compact, but ample for two and the decoration was ornate, a wonderful romantic feel to the whole place, clean and friendly with helpful smiling staff The only improvement would have been coffee making facilities in the room
The view from our room was breathtaking. Parking is a little way away but that is true of most city hotels. A wonderful experience and helpful staff.
The position of the hotel, overlooking the Ronda gorge is very spectacular. The staff were extremely nice and freindly. The meal, the setting and the service was exquisite. The room was very comfortable but we would have liked a room overlooking the gorge but we booked on a late booking and there was only one room left. Nothing
Staff was super friendly and the view is simply breath taking (if you take a room with a view that is). Hotel is very central and very charming. The room smelled of sewer. The hotel seems to be aware of it but so far unable to do anything about it.
Amazing. Perfect location, gorgeous room and incredibly nice and helpful staff. Five stars.
We travelled through Spain for three weeks and this was the best hotel we stayed in .. and many others were lovely hotels. The facilites and the service were excellent. We particularly appreciated the plan of the walking tour we were given when we arrived. What a great idea. We would happily recommend this hotel to our friends.
The quaintness (is that a word?) really unique hotel The heating was only on for part of the day.. without exception this is the first hotel I've stayed at that was rather cold - the rads were only on from 6-10 and in the mornings, really needed them to be on all the time as it was frrrreeeeezing in Ronda!!
The room, the ambience, the courtyard, the location, No. The only slight disappointment was the breakfast.
This is a family run hotel, and their friendly and helpful approach towards us as guests made our stay a most enjoyable one. Excellent position and service.
Food and fantastic views/history.
Unlike most hotels the san gabriel has enormous charm, courtesy of its previous role as a private home, dating from the C17. The interior decor is quite remarkable. As well, the knowledge and courtesy of management was far above what one normally encounters in hotels.
The room was large and absolutely delightful. I loved the decoration of the hotel, which was equal to its description on the web site. The hotel staff was very helpful, even asking us where we were going next and giving us directions to Cordoba and a map of that city.
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent and useful literature on what do do in and around ronda, and how best to do it, great breakfast, fantastic dining recommendations. Really beautiful hotel, immaculately kept, peaceful, relaxing, homely, and wonderful spacious room. We will be back. Many thanks to all the staff. I cannot think of any faults at all.
We were given the bridal suite as it was our honeymoon at no extra charge - something we thought was wonderfull - Thank You The staff are muy simpatico y amable
Everything. Great location, fabulous staff, wonderful amenities. This is a great, funky little hotel that I would receommend to everyone and would stay again in a heartbeat. We had a great room with a terrace and the hotel has open bar (help yourself 24/7) to drinks and coffee. The location couldn't be better and the staff was wonderful - they give each guest a tour of the hotel and you need one to find all the hidden treasures (like the stones in the aquarium you walk across to access the garden - very cool). Rooms large and comfortable!!!
We liked the pool, the friendly helpful staff, the quantness, the fantastic breakfast & the fact that all drinks are included. A little bit difficult to get to, although Ronda is not the easiest place to navigate in that part of the town.
A great breakfast, free drinks and a games room! Staff friendly and helpful. Not easy to find, at the bottom of a hill (130 steps to climb to go into town). Very noisey, walls paper thin...
This is a quirky but magical hotel, with gardens leading from courtyard to balcony with lovely country views. Our room was imaginatively furnished and the bar/breakfast room is startling. Very friendly and helpful staff.
A fun hotel, with many surprises and plenty of places to just enjoy 'being'. The free drinks policy added to the feeling of welcome, beyond its cash worth. We didn't like the ventilation system. We got too much 'bathroom' smell in the room, and faint cigarette smoke odours seemed to be carried on the centralised system. Our visit was in July and we woke in the night, too hot. It seems the hotel switched off the cooling system in the small hours. It seemed strange to give free drinks yet skimp on the airconditioning. Yet our overall experience of this hotel is still very positive.
great hotel, very very special hotel. Never have seen something like that!
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff The decor and ambience is great One can self serve drinks The breakfast is fantastic NO
Great value for money. Fab breakfast and loads of facilitis for chilling out.
I loved this hotel!! Among the 8 hotels I stayed at in Spain, this hotel was the most comfortable and the most impressive one for me. The location was good. The staffs were very friendly. The inside facilities were excellent, esp. the garden and the small library. When I go to Ronda again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Not at all.
This hotel was wonderful--a highlight of our trip. The decor was fun and eclectic; the location great; the staff helpful. They were also so very generous--complimentary drinks including wine, sherry and beer. And the breakfast which also was complimentary was unbelievably generous and tasty. nothing -- a great place.
We stayed at this small hotel in November 10. Our room was very comfortable and well presented. The restaurant served excellent food. The proprieter was very welcoming and created a very nice atmosphere.I would definitely stay again if in Ronda. There was nothing to dislike about our stay in Aire De Ronda. Marivi the owner provided us with tea or coffee whenever we asked, however it would have been nice to have the facility in the room.
A small hotel (3 rooms) a short uphill walk from the old town. Lovely, modern, comfortable chic style hotel, spotlessly clean. We were upgraded to the suite. Breakfast was good and the lady owner offered to cook fresh food for you.
This small boutique hotel is beautiful -- and the owner and host, Marivi, was exceptionally gracious and helpful.
very stylish little hotel. hostess wonderful and great cook. walking distance to old part of town. recommened
The design, the food, and the service. That they only have three rooms.
Recently opened, most likely the best place to stay in Ronda. Friendly and excellent service, nice room, good breakfast.
The interior of the room was very tastfull. The hotel owner was very good
very welcoming and pleasant. Like a B & B with no breakfast - besides coffee in the lobby - plus cookies and a fruit bowl. We liked it enough to stay twice. Free internet. parking in the narrow streets is difficult and a very small car is best by far. Bathroom lacks ventilation. No bathtub.
Bookings at Hotel Ronda are allocated into one of two establishments - "Hotel Ronda" or "Baraka". We were lucky enough to have stayed at the Baraka which is a very idyllic Andalusian house in one of the winding cobbled streets in Ronda's old town. It is rare to be able to stay in a Spanish home complete with white washed walls and inner courtyard and still have total privacy. wonderful stay
Lovely house full of character. Great location for sight-seeing
It was like staying in a private home and Nieves (the owner) and Rocio (her niece) were excellent hosts.
The hotel os well situares, its very small and cozy, clean and cute. Wonderful fluffy towels and a comfy bed. La señora Nieves is a very caring perdón. She knew what we needed before I did!
the friendliness of the owner basically, i felt it was over priced for what it was.
It was perfect!
The welcome at Hotel Ronda was so friendly and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The location is right in the middle of all the places to visit, close to the bridge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were all delighted with our choice and our stay.
Very friendly, great location, easy to find.
Helpful Hotel staff and very pretty room and bathroom. Location was good for tourist sites. Rooms and bathroom are quite small. No English language Satellite channels. Very poor inclusive breakfast. Hotel is very small and is situated amongst many Restaurants all of which, including theirs are over priced.
staff very helpful and rooms clean and bright. Location was great for the bridge and gorge as well as for walking into town.
The central location was very convenient. Hotel had a very relaxed style and breakfast was adequate.
Very clean and comfortable Breakfast was a bit disappointing - very basic.
Free wi-fi Internet access
Only stayed one night, but staff were helpful came in early to accomodate an early checkout
Location of the hotel Half board basis but food was poor
Convenient location; value for money
The hotel was just off the main street with immediate access to the old town and the walks above and around the Gorge and the bulllring.
Well situated for sightseeing and walking. Big clean bathroom and bath with nice hot water Romm was very small. No staff on front desk after 4.00 pm
Great location and great atmosphere very dark hallways!
Touring and sight seeing Lack of facilities, dining room and terrace closed no explanation, no parking, dreadfull smell, no staff, very noisey lift, poor beds.
We loved the location and the room itself was very charming. The front desk staff were very helpful. The pricing was excellent and we'd definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone wishing to stay overnight in Ronda!
happy atmosphere created by hotel staff.Hotel has an excellent location in old town centre but is not noisy.
Beautiful views, the swimming pool, the gardens, the peacfullness, the excellant friendly staff, the rooms. No hotel bar or snacks.
We had the suite overlooking the garden. It was beautiful. Loved the huge shower head in the bathroom. The gardens of the hotel are amazing; tiered, private and with lots of flowers and fruit trees. The pool is lovely too and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The hotel is like an oasis within Ronda. At times there was noone on reception. If you need to check out before 9am, it is best to pay the night before.
old world charm the garden was "tired" and a lot of the paving stones need attention
perfect garden, perfect location and helpfull staff! Great hospitality!
this was a beautiful small hotel in a converted old house decorated with traditional furnishings in excellent taste, part of 500 yr old city walls in the lovely town of Ronda. The gardens were breathtaking, although the pool was not open (October!) Very welcoming staff, esp Prudence - who talks English, very rare in hotels in Spain. Too cold for terrace breakfast so we all sat round lovely old table and enjoyed talking to other guests, while breakfast was served to our individual tastes. because we had booked through booking com we were not entitled to the 10% reduction advertised for readers of the rough guide
Fabulous old world hotel, absolutely unique. The garden and view was unforgettable. A real little trasure.
The accommodation is unique and intimate, whilst being within the walls of the town of Ronda and close to the main sights. The plumbing was in need of repair as the bath washbasin emptied extremely slowly - approx 5 minutes/
The atmosphere and the views over the countryside
Very friendly staff and great location in the old part of town and near tipical non touristy restaurants, great too relax and simple. reccomend
Wonderful quirky hideaway in a perfect position. Fabulous pool and gardens. Good recommendations for eating out, given by pleasant receptionist (both receptionists were great). With just a little more thought and attention to detail, this could become an outstanding bijou residence. Current negatives: broken glass in parts of lawns / terrace; no individual aircon remote for each room: meagre breakfast; dog excrement around gardens (cute dogs though!) Could do with bigger beds in suites.
