The food (1/2 board) was mediocre at best> The dinners were overcomplicated and fussy while the breakfast---boiled eggs underdone, constantly out of bacon and/or scrambled eggs. The hotel needs fresh management approach
Good location, close to bus terminal and centre of town. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Free use of cablecars in the area a real bonus. Spacious room with balcony and great views over to Allalin/Alphubel.
Good food We did not use the bar as there was no atmosphere.
Quality of meals, room facility and cleaness. None
Excellent food, very good chef. Hotel receptionist, misinformation about Wi Fi, not very helpful although hotel very empty. Tell the staff to smile occasionally!!
I have been several times at the Metropol. and my sojourns there have always been very mice and comfortable. The owners and the whole staff are very kind and friendly. The restaurant is very good too. Incredible good location in the very center of Saas fee.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The owners invited all guests down for an Easter apero and came and spoke to all guests individually which was very enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was fantastic quality and our deal for half board including ski passes was great value. Also getting to the ski lift was very easy as the hotel drove us each day in their small electric cart, and also dropped us off at the bus station for our return trip.
We really enjoyed the meal which was delicious and the spa was a real blast There are only twins beds matched together in the rooms and no queen size bed or king size bed.
Central location, evening meals Cooked breakfast was often dried up and not replenished often enough. "Romantic" room and table decoration overdone.
The sheets in one of the beds were shredded
A nice hotel with a lovelly restaurant interior and fairly good location (a bit far from the lifts to the mountain but close to the central street)
Excellent location right in town with balconies overlooking a spectacular view of the valley and the glacier. Large room with comfortable bed, couch, and breakfast table. Complete and delicious breakfast included. Great food for dinner in the restaurant. no complaints
Hotel rooms were excellent , being recently refurbished. The staff were friendly and efficient. Hotel is in a good position , being very near the main car park, village centre and cable car to the sledging run
The family room was very comfortable and spacious enough for 4. The shuttle to the ski hill and bus was a welcome bonus, and the driver very pleasant. The breakfast was very good. The woman at the front desk would not send the shuttle to pick us up from the ski hill, even though the driver had told us to call to arrange this.
We stayed in a beautifully renovated room with a great view of the mountains. The manager was very helpful in selecting hikes in the Saas-Fee mountains. At dinner the food and service were excellent. The hotel Allalin provided better value than a comparably priced Zermatt hotel where we stayed later in our trip
Sloping wooden beams and quality of design of room Can't think of anything
Breakfast was fabulous. Spa area & services very good. Location good. Room was not on mountain side so view was of another building & no balcony. It also had feeling of a "city" hotel versus a mountain spa retreat. The rooms on the mountain-side with balcony & flowers are likely better.
The reception on arrival was so warm and welcoming and continued throughout our stay. Very convenient to the small town. Comfort and food were both excellent. Nothing disappointed and although expensive, we did feel we received value for money
Good location, nice hotel room, good breakfast
The spa was very nice and clean and the children play room was great. The restaurant was poor choice of evening meal.
The hotel is very comfortable with excellent facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious and the location of the hotel is good. The rooms and public areas of the hotel could have been a few degrees warmer.
The staff, service, accommodations, food, were exceptional. The hospitality was delightful.I felt totally pampered! A most delightful and relaxing experience.
High standard in every detail; warm & friendly atmosphere; great spa.
very pleasant staff.good food ,lovely pool.comfy beds ,good quality duvet,s. the welcome plate of food sat around for 3 days, the room was not tiedied up the day before leaving.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff Bathroom has an inconvenient screen when taking a shower; Hotel wanted to charge for our dogs although on website stated differently.
very friendly staff excellent food comfortable room good location in a pretty vibrant town close to lots of things to do. noise from the street late at night.
Quality of location and spa facilities. They charge for tap water in the restaurant.
The staff of the restaurant was extremely professional and friendly. The staff at the reception was neither pro-active nor very professional. When approached at the reception desk, they did not get up from their chairs immediately, nor did they know the times of bus services or how to obtain cinema tickets. Relevant training of this staff would be highly recommended. No hotel shuttle bus to the skiing lifts is offered by the hotel on Saturdays as according to the hotel is the main arrival and departure date during the week. Unfortunately also no official buses operate on Saturdays. So the hotel guest staying over a Saturday is required to walk by foot to the skiing lifts.
Centrally located hotel offering some of the best value accommodation in Saas-Fee. Excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of fresh fruit. Good 6-course evening menu. Drinks bill brought with last course so no hanging around waiting at end of meal. Pool small but good depth and temperature for swimming. Spa small, but good. No noise from other guests or from outside. Good size rooms. Box of chocolates when paying final bill was a nice touch. Try and go to dinner between 7 and 8 – the one day we went later we felt rushed. Some serving staff not very happy, but good service. Resort is very quite from early evening onwards. Rooms / duvets too warm.
can enjoy breakfast and dinner. recommend to take "Halbpension" One thing that I am disappoined at is that all single rooms have no bath.
locatiodn and viwes not a real option to go bed and breakfasrt
Good position just up from the central square. Great views. Staff generally helpful, especially the younger manager. Food typical for region. Good Wi-fi connection Bathroom a bit functional. No double beds (twin beds pushed together instead)
the quietness of its setting the room was a disappointment given the pictures, bit old fashioned. i was looking for something that felt a bit funkier/special than the standard room.
Location for skiing in Saas-Fee is very nice as it is possible to ski to and from Hotel. The hotel is a small, family run typical Swiss pension. Beds and duvets are comfortable. Suite is ideal for families. Food is good.
Friendly owners, good service, good location within the village., Saas-Fee is very nice place for mountain hiking. The standard was rather basic, given the price.
We had a wonderfull stay in the hotel. The waitress remembered our facourite dish, the favourate coffee recipe and made all effort to make us feel at home. (please note in May it is low season.
Hotel staff is very attentive to my needs, location is perfect.
Dinning, spa, area, equipments Staff - arrogant, impolite
We had booked a room with a half board inclusive, however on our arrival we were told that the hotel offers the rooms with breakfast only, not half board. The lady at the reception apologized for the booking error via Booking.com and gave us a room upgrade and a bottle of champagne. The wellness area is very nice. The towels and bathrobes have definitely seen better times, we missed a hair shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, the toilet needed to be flushed 3-4 times. Once we had used the towels for the wellness area and wanted to go swimming early in the morning on the next day, we had to come down and ask for clean towels at the reception (nobody picked up the phone after long ringing), which is not a 5* hotel standard. The breakfast was not that generous due to the fact that hotel was being only partially operated during the days of our visit.
The room was excellent and the breakfast delicious !
Family friendly + Hotel staff kindness + comfort
SPA area no
second ski room next to the lift was handy, as well as the passage directly to the wellnes in adjecting hotel. Breakfasts was so rich and the staff was wery agreable smaller bathroom and quite loudy air exchauster (running along with turned on light)
Very friendly staff, clean, good value for money
It was a great place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly and the wellness facilities were great. Breakfast was substantial. Rooms were comfortable but the heating was a little high and we couldn't regulate it ourselves. About 5 minutes to the ski lifts and the hotel has a free ski/boot room by the slopes, which was very convenient.
I think Artemis is a very good choice if you want to ski in Saas Fee, stay in hotel but not willing to pay a fortune... Rooms are rather simple and not the biggest, but they are clean and cosy, decent 3-Star Standard. Everything else was perfect - very welcoming and friendly staff, good breakfast, and surprisingly good spa with sauna and whirlpool (two separated areas: naked and not-naked). The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from the lift but there is a locker room just next to the lifts so you dont have to carry your skis and ski boots on the way back to the hotel.
Warm, friendly welcome and hospitality. Cleanliness and tidiness throughout. Fresh decor. Use of the excellent spa facilities in the sister Hotel Europa. Use of the ski room in a another sister hotel near the ski slopes to store our skis and boots in after skiing, letting us walk through the village unburdened and in comfortable boots. No.
The office staff were wonderfully friendly, helpful and welcoming and we felt the rooms were comfortable and a genuine bargain for the cost. Nothing at all.
Excellent service Very nice hotel Nothing to declare, the stay was just great!
it was the best value food in town and the staff were very kind
Really friendly staff, very relaxed and accommodating, warm room, good breakfast and dinner menu. Wine expensive.
Staff friendly and helpful
Restaurant: Food is excellent. Staff: They are friendly and professional.
Very nice and comfort room, as well as bathroom, and excellent view.
close to the ski lift
The owner and all her staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Saas-Fee is car-free (electric vehicles only) and the hotel were very helpful in running us to and from the post-bus, with our baggage and climbing gear. Excellent breakfast, airy rooms with balcony and stunning views of the Allalinhorn and glaciers.
Location perfect for skiing (very close to lift). Freshly cooked boiled eggs for breakfast on request. Very friendly staff. Free pick up and drop off at bus or parking station. Lovely view from restaurant terrace. Non smoking.
Simple rooms, but great value for money. Fantastic location and views from great balcony. Wellness centre was one of the best I have ever experienced. The staff were super efficient, and very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The hot food options at breakfast were limited to boiled eggs and toast. Maybe another type of egg and some bacon would bring it in line with other hotels
The Customer Service and the Wellness Centre
Was upgraded to the 3 star Europa which was fantastic, comfortable, modern room. Staff frindly and efficient.
good pickup from car park easy to book, and convenient
I came to Sass Fee to climb only and just wanted a cheap clean quiet place to sleep. I got a room for 54 francs and a great breakfast to start my day!! Hope to come back to Hotel Europa Annex next year.
Great value for money and the staff (all but one - a grumpy hotel bus driver) were very helpful and i would definitely return. The family room we had was above my expectations.
we only stayed 2 days so were not very offen at the hotel it was goed for the things we did. explane hou it works with you lugage and going to the hotel. Because in Saas Fee you can't drive your car to the hotel. We had to walk en ask were the hotel was.
Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and available early. Room was very basic and not perfectly clean, decor horrible!
Very good location to view the mountains with snow and it is not too far way from the bus terminal.
Nice rooms. Bus to the skiing area.
Excellent 'Wellness' centre. Friendly and helpful reception staff. It is worth noting that they run a free taxi to and from the Post stop on departure and arrival. Buffet breakfast was fine but not quite as good as other 4* hotels I've stayed in within the region.
Sauna was excellent. Balcony off the room has fantastic view. Hot tub could have been warmer.
Excellent view, breakfast and wellness area. Good value in Saas Fee. Only comments would be (1) ski storage room could be improved (not as nice as one at Hotel Feehof), (2) keys should not have room number printed on them - not very safe if key is lost
Comfortable accomodation , polite and friendly staff.
It was pretty nice. I loved the welness zone - it's so good to have it after skiing day!
Helpful friendly staff Room a little old fashioned in decor. Food became monotonous in its Germanic style.
The Ski-Pass issued to guest was very useful and valuable. I enjoyed riding lifts verymuch. The double bed, with frame having long wooden board spring, was uncomfortable. Every time my partner moved in the bed, I was shaked up and down, getting me awake. Twin bed or two mattress on a solid double bed frame would be nice.
Friendly, efficient staff. Excellent food. Super location. Room standard was not as good as expected for 4 star.
Continental breakfast, comfortable room. Quite a walk to access skiing. Ski locker near the slopes would have helped. Indoor smoking--not used to it in UK anymore!
We stayed at the Hotel Marmotte during the Christmas holidays and had a blast. We've never been to the region and were welcomed with great hospitality. They picked us up from the parking deck with our luggage and took us to the hotel. Wifi was only 5 CHF for 24hrs...which is a great deal anywhere. They'll even take you to the slopes and provide you with a locker at the base of the slopes to keep your skiing equipment. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but the breakfast was included and is your typical european breakfast (cold cuts/cheese/bread/cereal/boiled eggs) and the staff was extremely nice and accomodating.
Close to the mandatory parking center (Saas Fee is a gasoline-engine-free resort). Clean room (although with minimum comfort) with a big flat screen TV. The room has a big flat screen TV, which is very good, but what a surprise not to find CNN or BBC included in the program!
The room we had was quite clean and very spacious. On our balcony there were 3 or 4 satellite dishes, bit much I thought.
Clean and comfortable hotel in a quiet location a short distance from the Hannig chairlift.
Good staff and cosy feel to the hotel.
The Marmotte was well up to three star swiss standard (quite high) and friendly.
Saas-Fee is a beautiful destination village in the Swiss Alps. It's the perfect location for a quiet and relaxing weekend. nothing.
Excellent, friendly staff, well organized, no hassle, great mountain view and as said you can ski right in front of the hotel door.Highly recommended.Umur,Istanbul...
Great location for the Express Lift/ Lack of resturante flexibility
The owners were most helpful and considerate. They helped with our bags while we skied on check-out day, and provided a place to change before departing. The ski lockers have built-in boot warmers that worked wonderfully.
probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed in! Helpfull owners and fabulous location next to ski lift.
I liked the country and cosy decoration. Very clean and comfortable. The staff are very gentle and nice. If I had the chance to be back in Saas Fee, I would certainly stay at Christiania.
I liked the spa room, the terrace and the different bar rooms as well as the restaurant room The relatively late starting time for breakfast, especially in a ski resort, only little or no variation on the breakfast buffet
Great room for a family, and wonderful care and service from the owners.
We really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful owners, will pick you up and drop you off at the bus terminus. The hotel has a good location in town, close both to the ski hill and resturants/bars in town. The owners were really helpful when things went wrong with our flights home, couldn't ask for more.
The spacious and comfortable rooms with sufficient cupboard space; very good bathroom; the sauna an steam bath; the location within easy reach of the ski area; the efficient service. Breakfast is rather basic and stinhy with no fresh fruit.
The owners very nice and helpful, the location excellent, the place great
We were made to feel most welcome. Thank you No
Already at questionaire hotel: smoking in restaurant allowed. And cheesfondue cold at the table, returned to kitchen. Other days diner not at the hotel.
Frıendly and helpful staff, bıg spacy rooms, good kıtchen
We got such a low rate on booking.com that we were expecting a bare-bones hotel. However, this hotel is a historic hotel that has been recently renovated and is very centrally located. Though we didn't pay for the upgrade, we got a suite with balcony facing the glacier - a very pleasant surprise indeed. Absolutely recommended, particularly during off-season (July 1-2 for us) and book through the website for a great deal.
Smart comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. The nudity in the spa / wellness area which is accessable to children is not very nice
staff was quite responsive and room worked well for family of 4 corner room on street side problematic with the noise from the bar that went on till 3 AM. should not note whirlpool as it's single-individual capacity and must put coins in to operate.
Very peacefull, staff very friendly, we got a room upgrade
Character, charm, excellent location at very centre of village, homely, friendly staff. The Feeloch restaurant is very good. The bar lacked atmosphere. Not really the hotel's fault I suppose.
The staff were extremely nice and helpful. We will return
very good service, good location, good food !! no
Staff were excellent, friendly and very efficient. Facilites were very good, food excellent and the location was perfect for skiiing and apres skiHotel room was good as expected for ski resorts and the bar and restarant were well run with a friendly cosy atmosphere
Good situation - rooms comfortable and clean - excellent breakfast -staff really obliging
its a great hotel with nice view and nice staff they made a hold on my credit card before i arrived and then charged it again upon checking out (they should just confirm the hold) the money took 2 weeks to be released from the bank i needed that to pay other hotels in my travel plan
Please write at least 15 words
the location, the staff and the modern style
location is perfect, spa area really nice, cosy atmosphere
I thought the meals were excellent and the staff generally were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and Spa facilities no
Excellent food and staff. Reception very helpful.
Location at the edge of the Village. Friendly Reception & overall services. Excellent food and choice on a fixed menu.
very good service by all
Great location Clean & well appointed rooms with balcony. Nothing major - some tea & coffee with the kettle provided would have been a nice touch.
It was fairly close to the ski lifts in Saas Fee and the room catered for 3 of us quite well We couldn't find any information about Saas Fee itself in the hotel and we couldn't get a taxi back to the main car park when we left at 6:45am. (Saas Fee is a car free village so you can't drive to the hotel itself)
