location and very well run
Extremely good value for money. Wonderful staff, location. Room was small, but comfortable. And breakfast was wonderful. Colour of the front door. Looks like a sex-shop.
Excellent location on main street. Deluxe room was very comfortable and spacious with a heated bathroom floor. Rates include breakfast which is a nice little buffet with possibility to have english breakfast as well. Staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommended as it's not too expensive for a city like St Petersburg. If we go there again, we will def. opt for Nevsky Forum hotel
Great staff and service, convenient location close to the railway station and all the attractions, overall a lovely hotel
Boutique hotel; very clean. Very well situated for sightseeing, shopping and eating. Staff courteous and generally spoke English well. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. No
it is just in center what i want
The staff was fantastic in both courtesy and smiles.
nice personnel at the reception desk ; hotel well situated in the city center, next to a metro station ; good breakfast : large (basic) rooms room 311 is next to an engin that makes a terrible noice, night and day...
the staff at reception were great, particularly in helping us find an ice-hockey event. It's right next to Mayakovskaya metro which we used a lot. would be nice to step out of bed unto carpet or a rug - it's vinyl on the floor.
staff very helpful and went out of there way to accomodate any of our needs..service better than a 4 star beds a bit uncomfortable
The concierge and reception desk was great, friendly, efficient, and very helpful. The location was brilliant, the bar area was the best part of the hotel and we spent many an evening there. The outdoor street cafe was brilliant. Very hard to leave the hotel. Didn't have enough umbrellas and it rained all the time. Except for the fabulous jazz bar, waitresses were awful which was par for the course in St. Petersburg. The gym was mediocre and filled with drunken day pass users of dubious connections. Appalling for a 5 star hotel, i felt I had stumbled into a brothel.
the position, Europe bar and live jazz music, concierge Our classic room had courtyard view, maybe kind of expensive compared to Kempinsky in Moscow where we had just spent five unforgettable days. Also no acceptable spa for a five star hotel. All in all pleasant, but it may leave you disappointed because it's too big (groups oriented, though luxury) and sometimes lacks "personality".
Location is superb; staff are 5 star; lovely rooms. Particularly liked the cigar bar. When we mentioned that it was my birthday the piano struck up and staff marched to the table with a cake lit up. Very nice touch. We weren't told in advance that one side of the hotel is under renovation and thus covered in plastic and scaffolding thus no view. Hotel arranged for us to change rooms but we had to stand on a table on the balcony to see the square outside.
Friendly staff and excellent location. Safe and pleasant
Strongly recommended! - Your credit card is used as its own without warning! Price does not match the quality! Olga Strongly recommended! - Your credit card is used as its own without warning! Price does not match the quality! Olga Moscow
Location, facilities, cleanliness, service. Did place twin beds together, rather than separated, but I didn't complain. Electronics a bit dated, and view of court yard mediocre.
For the standard of hotel, the service from the personel was disappointing. Very casual behaviour.
The hotel was very clean and modern and the breakfast was very good. There was no tea/coffee making facility in the room and the hotel was a bit far out of the tourist centre making going out in the evening for a meal a bit of an adventure as most menu's did not have English translation.
Everything was priety nice, very rich breakfast
Very nice breakfast with a big variety of food, the personell was really kind and helpful, the room was very clean and the location of the hotel was about 15 minutes walk from the center The food served in the hotel's restaurant didn't meet our expectations and was not as described in the menu
nice, helpful staff spartan
The best attitude that I strechal in hotels.
It was our second staying in this hotel and soon we plan to come back again. Wonderful location, 5 minutes from metro. Really good breakfast. Friendly receptionists. Last time they made us free upgrade from Standard till Studio room. Thank you, guys! The only thing that I'd recommend to improve is room cleaning. Sometimes, even after our room was cleaned, we still had lumps of dust.
A very professionally run establishment. Excellent English spoken by friendly and helpful staff. Modern and up to date (ahead of most in the UK!). If one enjoys eating in hotel restaurants (this one is good) in the evening do check first if it is being used for private functions - there were 4 during our stay of 8 nights. The full restaurant menu was however available in bedrooms on these nights.
Nice hotel, new, clear and quite. Good location.
Clean, colourful, friendly english-speaking staff. Situated a little away from the center (but 5 minutes from a metro station, one stop to Nevsky Prospect) in the middle of "real life".
Pleasant people at the reception. Quite convenient location -right nearby Usupov palace not far from centre. Quiet rooms with comfortable matress. Clean. Perfect view from restorant at atrium(where the breakfast is served). Pool. No
Very nice reception area. Good for business travel, located very close to the main transportation artery of teh city - interconnection of 3 tube lines makes it easy to go anyway very thin walls, I could hear my neighbour using hairdrier every morning as well as hotel event that was held 2 floors above me
The food in the evening was not good at all. They charge extra for using the swimming pool at certain hours. Extra charge for internet.
Centrally located. Never again... Internet connection very complicated, almost possible only from Hotel's business center. Airconditioning on in a freezing room with outside temperatures of 15o C.
Good and correct English speaking staff. All the facilities are there. The souvenir shop is excellent. 15 minutes to Mariinsky theatre. Have to walk to city centre 5 - 20 minutes. 20 min to Hermitage and to the water front. 20 min to Nevsky Prospect. But did not bother us. The taxi fare to Airport is double the regular price. The breakfast extra charge is way un proprtional. Had a better breakfast outside for 1/4 price
The hotel staff were very attentive, punctual, nice, pleasant!!!! No
high transportation service
The room was great, the bed is very comfortable. The view at the restaurant on the top of the building is so unique and amazing. Location is good as well... St.Isaac Cathedral is 5-7 min. walk as well as Mariinsky theatre.
Everything was fine Breakfast too expensive.
The hotel and the staff was very pleasant and nice!!Very attentive and punctual! No
Very enthusiastic front desk and concierge - we couldn't have asked for a better experience on our first visit to St Petersburg!
Good location for the Nevsky, Moscow railway station, the underground, easy access to the airport. The special offer gave good value. Staff friendly and trying to be helpful. Rooms quite comfortable, good quality breakfast. No business facilities and no gym; reception and bar staff, although helpful, make many mistakes; rooms either too warm or too cold; noisy local parties in the restaurant. Would recommend, but only if good promotion rates available.
ample and delicious breakfast buffet, extremely helpful staff, free wi-fi internet, nice location close to Nevsky prospect and tube (quite a long walk to the Hermitage though) Be aware that the hotel actually has a few rooms without windows (or rather they have windows looking onto the lobby, so no natural light and curtains have to remain shut). We were unlucky enough to get such a room upon arrival, but complained - the room in addition had no hot water and a broken air-con, which made it freezing and the carpet was beyond filthy. We were ready to cancel our reservation and leave, but the hotel staff were extremely helpful and apologetic and put us into a different room, which was perfect and had a nice view into the courtyard. Would recommend this hotel, despite the intital hick-ups.
The staff is very kind and helpful The bed is comfortable Good breakfast The bathroom is a little bit small
I would rate staff 10 stars if I could! Extremely nice, professional and polite, helping and considerate, ready to accommodate any request.
Hotel itself is very nice, new and well designed with contemporary interiors. Staff are helpful (by Russian standards) Location is not very central and there is not much outside the hotel. It's a 10-15 mins walk to the centre. I was planning to use taxis but unfortunately taxi drivers overcharge tourists and the minimum fare even for a short hop over the bridge was 500 Roubles (gb£10). The hotel doormen were not at all helpful in helping us get a fair deal and I think the hotel management should do something to ensure that guests can easily have a taxi at a fair price. We ended up walking all the time which gets tiring considering how much walking is involved in sight seeing and museum visits. Beware: if you plan to be out after 1am ask staff about bridges closing at night or you will be out all night!!
the saunas were the best on earth. The staff was great and breakfast very good. Not a five star hotel but a four except pool/saunas/Jacuzzis which were worth the trip and stay alone Location in between Metro stop. Long walk to any transportation. Taxis were thieves
Quality of the room, spa and swimming pool facilities, design and location. The food was terrible in the 24 hour bar.
Everything, and when i come back, i come in this hotel.
This hotel is a perfect place to enjoy the wonderful city St. Petersburg. There is one small disadvantage: the hotel is located on an island. During best night hours (for night-birds) the bridges to the main part of the city are not passable.
The standard of the hotel was very good. The quality was very good which made the time spent there very relaxing.
nothing to complain about , very good and always look forward to staying . looking forward to log fire downstairs ,it was not on ,oh well next time
The spa facilities were excellent and the design of the overall space meant that nothing felt overly large. Having to pay for the spa/pool facilities. It was free from 7-10am which in UK time was 4am to 7am! As we stayed for four days it cost us 4000roubles to swim..
spa zone, swimming pool, restaurant, receiption services nothing
the Spa the reception did not give enough informations to be a new guest
Excellent location, near city center and all tourist attractions. Very good SPA is free for hotel's guests. We came to hotel early in the morning, at 7-30. Check-in was very fast.
The hotel was modern with an excellent breakfast, spa facilities and pool. The rooms were clean and confortable. The hotel is in the center of the attractions with a English speaking friendly staff. The resterant served excellent food. This is Russia and you have the some of the old Soviet attitudes still lingering but it is moderated by the customer driven attitude Solo Sokos is known for and with time will improve.
The location is good. very close to all the museums. This hotel got 4* name obviously because os bribe. Otherwise I do not understand how this hotel can be considered as 4*. Maximum 3*. The rooms are tiny and dark, room service starts cleaning the room at 7.30-8.00 what I find absolutely ridiculous especially on weekends when guests are sleeping. Room service was very noisy disturbing hotel guests resting in the room.
Comfort and the place where it situated
Unbeatable location, just off Nevskij Prospect, close to Hermitage and the river. We stayed in a standard room which was quite stuffy, it had a window but not one that could be opened so zero air and the room was sauna hot. When you stay in a standard room you also don't get access to their sauna/jacuzzi - just in the morning until 11am - after that it's only accessible to guests staying in higher room categories so if anyone is thinking of staying here avoid the standard room and get the deluxe room.
The location of this hotel is simply outstanding, a minute walk from Nevsky Prospect and five minutes from Admiralty/Winter Palace/Hermitage. Wonderful location, without a doubt the best part of staying here, however the hotel itself is a warm and comforting hotel as well, with an amazing Sky Bar on the 7th floor looking out over St. Petersburg. Very conveniently you can order taxis through the concierge service and they will charge this to your room bill so you don't have to worry about stumping up cash when you need to head to the station or back to the aiport. However their fares are much higher than standard city taxis. As a comparison it cost us 700 RUB from the airport (17km) and 800 RUB from the hotel to the station (5 mins!). Much more convenient, however much more pricey.
Walls very thin not enough electric points for shavers/mobile phones
The position of the hotel is excellent, some of the personnel was very friendly and tried to help, the tours organised by the concierge desk were excellent. The rooms are rather noisy. We could clearly hear the guest in the adjacent room. Cleanness of the rooms was fine, but could be improved.
Rooms were spacious!!! Very nice rooms! Was very bad service in breakfast! Much too expensive, better to eat someplace outside for better price and better quality!
Location Breakfast is not included in the room rate
hotel's location is great. staff is anglophone and willing to help. room was large and clean. walls were very thin; we could here people next door talking. window of our room was up high and sealed so we neither could have fresh air nor see any view.
Location was fantastic. Nice and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Although very good hotel, a bit expensive. And breakfast was not included...
The breakfast is great The room was small
To hot in rooms. Not good aircondition.
Work of staff - they were really respective, carefull, trying to help breakfast in room - poorly served, oversaulted, wrong hot drinks
Position..real in the centre..perfect to visit the town.
room design was nice. you can not open the window - air con not efficient.
The hotel is very comfortable The price for the breakfest was absolutely and ridiculously expensive. Out of any proportion with any other top rate hotel.
I liked the location. The staff were friendly. Free wifi is a bonus. The gym was not great and the hall ways tot he get to the room too dark.
Good location. Good service. Expensive.
A very good localization- Perfect The breakfast is very expensive. Do not take it there
Good location in the center, large room, free of charge tea and coffee in the room, friendly staff, free wi-fi. Breakfast is not included in Junior Suite rate, it's really strange. Carpet near the sofa was not really clean. In the toilet there is no sink, it's necessary to go to the bathroom that is situated in the other end of the room so as to wash hands.
Good location! Hotel needs for renovation, rooms are a bit old-fashioned! Not value for this money!
Proximity to Nevsky avenue .Very good and rich ( Novotel style )breakfast .Cosy cafeteria with good choice of deserts , comfortable sofas and lighting. ATM 24 hours. Polite and well-looking staff . We got smaller room without sofa ( just double bed ) in building 2 .Carpeting was somewhat ( heavily ) spotted . This summer we had a couple of nights in Novotel Edinburg . Same hotel chain and hotel age - but adding some fragrance to air fresheners makes you feel staying in valuable place. You know this feel ...
the hotels is simply ok, nothing special i do not like smell in then room and internet was niot working in spite that it was advertised, you can have internet only at the lobby, restaurant
Room, restaurant (breakfast+dinner), staff Parking is not sheduled
Extremely helpful staff, both in arranging visa inviation and during our stay. Good breakfast and very comfortable room in a new hotel. Terrific location near Nevsky Prospect but protected from that road's traffic noise. Convenient for the metro.
good breakfast, decoraton and service - standard of Novotel same as other cities I stayed. location fairly good. No some amenities in room - shower cap. Bed too tiny for 2 persons.
Really close to the Moskovskaya train station; good price for St. Petersburg. - When we arrived the hotel hadn't received the reservation from booking.com; Air conditioning in the rooms wasn't working and temperatures were pretty high; water on toilets smelled fish.
I had some discussions re wifi with one of te receptionists who was rather rude! but it was solved to my complete satisfaction by Alexander. Bed was super comfortable cupboard in room too small for a couple staying 6 nights.
I liked the hotel staff and the location of the hotel. The room was very cozy. The room wasn't cleaned in time.
specially for business trips - breakfast should be erlier as 07:00AM
The location is close to the railway station, but anyway, rather far from all main attractions. Breakfast is quite various. Terrible noise of air-conditioner made both of us, my wife and me have head ache. And even if we switched it off, nothing changed. Reception staff was a bit out of adequacy and not friendly. One evening we came back to the hotel closer to midnight and security asked for my room key, i shown it to him, after that he watched my wife in kind of strange way and asked her same question. Ok, maybe he just did his job, but don't they think it looked like meddling in my private life? Wasn't it enough to watch only my key and let us, tired and frozen after long walk go in our room in peace, without bothering also my wife? So, we had a very distressing impression then.
location and friendly staff, cleaniless, good undergroung parking, subway station just 1 minute from the hotel, hotel still not finished 100%, looking for attestation from Holiday Inn, seems that some of the fire-exits unfinished and long corridors - distance of my room (almost last room on the floor) longest in my experience from elevators. Please don't charge additional money for using internet in rooms.Air-conditioning little bit noisy - NB! All of my comments are just notices for improvement, we were still satisfied.Thank you!
Nice and clean, friendly staff, good location - airport bus stops by; 10 minutes to downtown by the subway. Breakfast rather overpriced (~EUR 15); also the canteen is overcrowded during the breakfast time. Free wireless available only in the lobby.
Nice english speaking staff, the hotel it self rather new, located not far from the city centere, close to the metro station close to the hotel is located building uder constraction and the view was not so spectacular
Check in was impolite.....but after that everything was fine and very polite!
big DeLuxe room for reasonable price. some construction works in progress. poor ventilation in the corridors, halls. bad view to the inner court. hard to find because of covered up hotel's signboard.
Very good hotel, european style and level of services the price could be a bit lower since the location is far from the downtown
internet facilities sport facilities were very poor
Transportation convenience and comfort Reception clerk promised to wake us up in the morning but failed to do this. Registration of our immigration cards was not performed in time for checking out.
very good far from center
Excellent rooms. Good location for the business traveller but stil handy for the metro to the city centre Faciliies at the moment only adequate but inprovin every day as the hotel fills up.
We lived in a very quiet room with a good view of Vasilie Island. The hotel is close to the Winnter Palace and the Metro. The beds are not comfortable. They are too soft.
Third time we have stayed here, enjoy it every time we stay here. good value for money. Friendly helpful staff. good location close to great shopping and near to tourist attractions.
Absolutely fantastic, lovely hotel, helpful staff, clean, cosy rooms and good location next to the river. Don't worry about getting around, the concierge can order you city taxis which are very reasonable and the hotel is within walking distance to the fortress, Hermitage and centre.
Spacious room (for St.Petersburg), soft comfortable beds, LCD TV with numerous channels, wifi internet is quite fast, complementary drinks for guests central conditioning that can't actually provide comfort temperuture during sleep (rather hot) and window won't open (no handle). Too hot blankets for current weather.
Lack of toiletries
You actually offered better rooms than we had booked. The staff was friendly and tolerant with children. The hotel was at walking distance for the main sights.
Stayed for 4 nights. Very comfortable rooms, modern and clean, beds were very good. Friendly staff with good english. No problems. Helpful with visa support. Good location. Not in the centre where it's touristic and busy, but in a quiet location and easy to walk to the centre. Right by the river. Only used the hotel for sleeping, never ate breakfast there or anything so can't comment. Didn't particularly like that the double bed, was two twins pushed together, the gap in the middle was annoying. One morning there was no hot water for showers, but this was fixed by the afternoon. No idea if this is a recurring problem. Rest of the time it was fine.
Good location near the city center. The staff was mostly friendly. The room was clean and everything in it worked fine. Bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows available. The double bed was just two beds pushed together. The gym was under renovation and no information was given about that beforehand.
Clean, very good room, good service
I liked our bed) nothinghttp://www.booking.com/review/a93af21870730bb7.en.html?label=review_im;aid=304142
Excellent, professional staff. Very courteous and helpful wit requests. breakfast buffet was splendid and with plenty of choices. The made-to-order omelettes were delicious! The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is located to many excellent attractions and is a very good choice for exploring the beautiful city of St. Petersburg. Highly recommended!
clean everything was fine
Close to the airport Had to run the water a long time before it got hot
I've been in this hotel for few days during a business trip. The hotel is very close to the airport. Is a tipical very big russian hotel, lots of rooms, lots of people. The reception desk emplyees are a bit slow due to the few people that are working there. The guests must wait to much time before receive assistence.
Location is near airport and can avoid the traffic jam in the downtown. Hotel building is a bit old and we can not operate the airconditioner in the room.
The good breakfast, round the clock is on duty the doctor In advertizing there was an information on working pool and Spa-SALON, at registration in hotel the manager it was confirmed. But upon it has appeared that the pool and Spa-SALON don't work a month and even a month won't work.
Good location for airport and metro Very busy with tour groups, Unhelpful unfriendly staff. Price fixing between hotel staff and taxi drivers.
There was no ref (mini bar) in the business room.
Room was ok at the price offered and the nearness to the airport. During sheck out the front desk forgot to give me my passport back and they could not find my receips from visiting the restaurant the night before.
If you need a hotel fairly close to the airport, this is an okay option. Check in took 45 minutes. They will try to impose a registration fee for $40!!! This needs to be done away with Park Inn. You are the only hotel i stayed at that tried to use this scam. Also, the rooms are small and very outdated.
Close to the airport and easy to get to the downtown by metro. Staff and management is good. WI-FI is for additional payment.
To air condition & to fagito the personal should learn english
Rooms have been fully renovated and became modern and updated since our last visit a few years ago. You can feel western style management of the hotel. We booked golf view but got side room - so it was not worse it to pay extra for such view at all. No mini bar / fridge in the room. Nothing except of handgel and showergel in the bathroom - not even a hairdryer. One of the days TV didn't work (they told us it was some maintenance)
Stop and read this! I travel all the time, and with my experience I learned to identify hotels from one star to 5 star hotels. This particular hotel is not a 4 star hotel. A 3 star hotel would have a shower gel, small soap, fan for your hair. And when you get a delux room you may also get rob, and flippers. At this hotel you get none of the things I described. And if you make a request to bring it you to your room, then they charge you a fee. I asked for a Bay view room. I got a side view room, looking over the roof of Aqua park. Location of this Hotel very far from the city, and if you use a Taxi, they charge you arm-and-a- leg. This Hotel is huge, and No-one to take your luggage. I would not recommend this Hotel. 2 star at best.
The facilities was great, the staff was mostly friendly, the concierge were not knowledgeable, and or adept enough to know that when you give someone names of banks on a piece of paper, it would also be nice to give them directions to these locations. The Spa facility were excellent..breakfast buffet ok, but never ever changed..same menu everyday.. This hotel charges for internet service, but in a rather deceptive kind of way, you pay 600RUB for 1 day internet use, but they fail to point out that you get a total of 250mb to go with it...so if you happen to download anything of any size, your 250mb is gone in 60 minutes...after 4 such occurrence, I decided that it was more cost effective to purchase a wireless card...600RUB can purchase internet for a month...Their room service policy/practices leaves a lot to be desired, you order hot water for medicine, and they charge you 130RUB for hot water, then another charge of 130RUB to deliver it to your room...a hotel this size should have coffee/tea maker in every room...you expected more for 84000RUB...this hotel is way off the beaten path
1) Personnel - communication at the receiption desk. 2) Absence of the hygiene kit in the room. 3) Room key could stop working anytime. 4) Receptionist (there was only one like that) lacking the information about hotel services.
aquapark very good and it is exciting for children minibus number 248 transfer between hotel and nearest metro station(primorskaya) and bus number 7 transfer between hotel and city center (nevsky prospekt street )
Nice view on the Bay Hairdryer upon special request in lobby
there were a good spa and wellness gym and tasty breakfast) , room comfort, poor infrastructure at the hotel, high price for poor service, location (((
Still it is "huge" hotel you can get your own privacy as well. Quiet rooms Sortiment of toiletries very limited, no minibar, rather poor breakfast. They did not find my Booking.com reservation.
Front staff is friendly for concidering in Russia.
all was ok, but the problem they do not have a bell man, I mean theoretically they have, but in reality nobody helps you with the lugagges.
The walk to subway (metro) is 10 min. The staff was very courteous. Breakfast was excellent. I did not try to use spa/swimming pool. Location for me was very convenient, but for tourism may be a bit far from the main sights.
the breakfast is very good and the Service of cleanliness are excellent. the fitness gym are something you do not see generally in hotel this gym is Equipped properly and excellent. no
One of the best hotels in S.Petersburg. The staff was very friendly. The room reflects the 5* comfort and was equipped accordingly.
Nice room, nice staff Billiard and swimming pool closed everytime you need them. And we chose the hotel cause my son likes swimming. Three star breakfast.
Idea business base with prices that werefair by Russian standards
Good rooms, good location, nice restrant I thing bath is to old - from soviet union time
Nothing Comfort rooms are not in the main new building but in the old one (4story offices building, very old, scuffed, maximum no stars at all). Awful spring bed. Yellow water in the bathroom. No WiFi at all. The worst I've ever seen...
breakfast, restaurant small room and bathroom
On arrival we were upgraded to an apartment room with a huge bedroom! That was really nice, breakfast is really good, the choice is very wide, although the variety of food could be more different everyday, but still this hotel a good value for money. Hotel is situated not close to the metro station, nearest is about 10 min walk. It was my 4th time staying in Azimut and i will go there again, because its the cheapest good accomodation in the city with good breakfast and friendly staff. If you have more money, kindly advise you to book Business room, Comfort room is more simple and furniture is different. Bathrooms must be upgraded.
Breakfast Not clean water
Availability of WIFI Inadequate lighting in the room and non availability of fridge.
The breakfast Hot water is brown! No air conditioner.
Rather nice Sky bar on the 17th floor. There is some smell on the first floor and red carpets.
Everything is ok!
Good value for money hotel. Breakfast buffet has enough choice and flexible hours. It was very busy, as there are always busses passing through as well.
The dining facilities were convenient and well presented with pleasant and helpful staff. Ambience good. The sink in the bathroom did not drain well so it was hard to get any hot water to shave.
I liked everything but the price. breakfast was too expensive.
Nice Finnsih quality Hotel
My room (on the 7th floor) was quiet, had an opening window and was not too hot. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. As my stay was during 'White Nights', the thick curtains were appreciated! Room fittings are tasteful and high quality. The spacious 'Provencal' style restaurant/bar area is relaxed and cosy - good selection of tasty dishes to suit all appetites and... No complaints!
Nice hotel, not far from the city center. Probably too expensive without special offers. At least breakfast is 3-4 times expensive than in cafes 3 mins away. Rooms are neat and furniture is new. Ask for a room on the highest floor to enjoy the beautiful view - Sokos appeared to be one of the highest buildings in the area
I liked the design of the restaurant, especially the fireplace. The food was excellent. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only small minus, not all menu dishes were available.
superb interior and comfort nothing I suppose
The bed and spa The location!
My family stayed there for one week. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located close to the Metro, just two stops from the Nevksy Prospect. You can get to Nevskly Prospect in 15-20 minutes by metro or in about 45 minutes by walking. The hotel staff was very helpful and they talked good english. The room was very clean and spacious. Compared to other hotels in St Petersburg, this was reasonably priced. The free wireless access was very convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was quite expensive, so we ended up not getting it.
Wireless internet included in price. Good breakfast. Good air conditioning of the room. Good bed. They have to include price of the breakfast in the price. Lack of TV programs.
Absolutely everything nothing
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the courtyard is lovely
A really nice hotel. Rooms comfortable and food in both restaurants very nice. Well placed for visiting the city centre and tourist attractions and just a couple of minutes away from the nearest metro station Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been handy.
Everthing was wonderful at the Helvetia. The service was excellent - polite, helpful and understanding of foreign travellers who cannot speak Russian. The only little thing that I did not like was the bed. It was 2 x double beds to make 1 King Size bed, which meant the mattress was not suited for the bed. I think to make Helvetia even better, this will need to be addressed.
Hotel staff very helpful and all aspects of the hotel very clean and tidy.
calmness and romantic of enclosed restaurant area (beer + wine), excellent staff members
TV Japan was available. No elevators. Having filled the bath with hot water, the water turned cold halfway. I could not use hot water for several hours !!
Good location, good food, good service high price
The Helvetia has an excellent location very near the metro and the main shopping street, yet is is very quiet. It comfortable and clean, while being less pretentious than other hotels in the area. The food served at breakfast is very good and their restauants are praise worthy.
Absence free Internet (Internet is payed by special card - it's no comfortable)
The level of service, friendliness of the staff and level of assistance they were willing to give.
