Hotel was convenient , quiet and a 5 min walk to harbour Older furnishings and bedding Pool & sauna old
great location for the city, theatre, restuarants & transport
Cleanliness Broken freezer, water through fridge/old TV's (despite brochure showing flatscreen)/no minibar/bathroom old/double bed instead of queen/mirrored wardrobes
Central location, Easy access to city shopping and transport and Darling Harbour shops and restaurants, 2 rooms adjoining but separate was wonderful. Inability for staff to help with air-conditioning problems in one room.
Overall apartment is spacious Worn out furniture in the apartment. Dish wisher did not work which caused the power switched off hence the fridge defrozed while we we out which was flooded the floor. We told them the problem 2 times but never resolved. One ceiling light was not working. Cutlery in the apartment only enough for 2 people, hence 2 sets each and all cutlery and crockery are mixed and matched. Glass top of side table was cracked and it could be dangerous to young children. There was one time we were in the lift with the hotel maintenance person holding a plunger who told us he just unblocked the toilet in one of the apartments. It seemed to us there might have a few maintenance problems in the apartments.
Close to the cbd and Darling Harbour for our stay. We had a wedding in Darling Harbour. A lot of traffic noise and general public leaving the Darling Harbour area late at night and early morning. If I did not have my wife and daughter staying with me I would have called the night manager to listen for themself the amount of noise coming from outside.
Good location. The doors of interconnecting rooms don't stay open. An interconnecting room should have one door between them that the parents can control, not be two rooms. The ironing boards need foam underlays so guests are not ironing onto metal (did ring up and no underlays were available).
The walls were disgusting they needed painting
Terrible! Very unclean. First. upon arrival we were told that we could not have a non smoking room (which we had booked months ago). If this was not to our liking we could swap the next day! Second. Room was not clean, and of course smelt of smokers. Third. We found a cockroach in the room. Fourth. Internet was charged at $24.95 per 24 hours, but was given to us free after mentioning that my booking through booking.com said it was free......should i go on?
The convenient central location The room was somewhat dated, in particular the carpet needs to be replaced with something more colourful
Pre book hotel and had to pay a 1% surcharge for credit card usage. If it is you, do you think you would bring along large amount on cash to pay for your own hotel room? this surcharge was unnecessary. Again, is it necessary to charge another $100 on top of the total bill?
Excellent location when attending events at Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour. Staff were very pleasant. Bathroom clean but tiling ready for renovation.
I was very pleased with the Park Royal Darling Harbour. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, a very short walk to Darling Harbour itself harbor and a walkable distance from many of the city's attractions, including Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, the Botanical Gardens and the Rugby Stadium. It's also just three blocks from bus and rail transportation. The breakfast buffet was very good and based on the length of my stay, I even got free internet access. I would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location in central business district directly across the street from Darling Harbor, but otherwise an average hotel in all respects. Rooms are clean but plain. Service is friendly. Health club is tiny, but has the basics. Price, relative to other hotels in this area is reasonable. This is a good hotel for any budget-minded traveler. It is conveniently located 3 blocks east of the Town Hall subway station which provides easy access around the city and to/from the airport.
Room and Hotel were good, however the main view was to an overpass. The hotel does not have harbor views

Close to main attractions. Staff very knowledgeable and polite. No microwave.
We booked online and this was our first trip to Sydney, so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location with an easy walk to Darling Harbour, and also the Town Hall train station. The staff was friendly, and helped us get checked in early (our flight arrived at 7:00 am). Overall it was a great experience. The breakfast food was a little different than what we are used to in the States, but overall it was good and they had the option to have items cooked to order in the restaurant. We would recommend the Parkroyal.
This hotel is conveniently located near a lot of the tourist activities in Darling Harbour. Room was in good shape.
My husband and I booked the Crowne Plaza in Darling Harbour for two nights. When we arrived after our evening flight from Tasmania the receptionist told us that they were overbooked and we don't have a room. That he proceeded to start searching for a room for us in other hotels. Eventually ( twenty-thirty minutes later) we were told that we can go to Rydges ( the night manager told us that is was a nice five star hotel and it was not!) and we had to switch hotels again next day. At least we got some taxi vouchers for all the hassle between the hotels. The night manager promised that we will be taken care of when we come back to Crowne Plaza the next day but I really did not notice anything different in the room than the any other Crowne Plaza room in any other city in any other country. The check out process was easy and seamless.
Room with Darlington Harbour view and closeness to restaurants and activities. - extra 2% charge imposed on the bill when paying by credit cart. - traffic noise in the early morning at Room on the 5th floor facing the highway.
We recently stayed at The Crowne Plaza in Sydney, Australia. We found it to be very clean and a great location for Darling Harbour. We usually ate at dining room for breakfast which served delicious fruits and a good variety of juices and pastries. The only problem we had was the rooms were cleaned slowly and we had to wait to see if ours had been cleaned yet. They said that they had been extremely busy. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!
location convenient--high quality bedding and bath
Great hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Shower room if you arrive too early for check-in. Free everything- wifi, breakfast, snacks, minibar, evening drinks. Even "shoebox" room was large enough (at least for one person). King room was great too. Shower in "shoebox" was a bit tight - lots of water on the floor afterwards. Shower in King room was fantastic.
The hotel was in a good location with easy access to all attractions the staff were friendly and very helpful with info about the area, easy to find from the airport Could be better priced ... thought it was expensive and did not include breakfast as most other hotels in the area were cheaper and had same facilities and included breakfast
close to the city
Close procimentry to Darling Harbour & Star City & Entertainment Centre & China Town & paddys Markets & Sydney Aquiriam
The location at Darling Harbour-It is so easy getting to anywhere-We went to two shows one at the opera house and one at the olympic stadium--The food is varied and great. A bit surprised to find that I was charged a fee for using a Visa card, the room is very expensive as is, and then to find another $22 on top of $1400.00 for a 3 day stay I found a bit pathetic, not that the $22 is a lot, but one feel is that really necessary from a hotel of this class?
being very handy to darling harbour, central sydney
The only thing I liked was the availability of the outdoor pool and access to internet in the lobby. When I arrived and walked into my room, it smelled horrendous. Then walking into the bathroom their was some object of grossness in the shower. We called immediately and transfered to another room that was ok, but still had an odd odor. Then later in the evening, when coming back from dinner their was puke in 2 of the 4 elevators just sitting there. The front desk was informed, but really didnt act on it. I had to ride up to my floor with puke on the ground cause the other 2 elevators were taking too long. I spent 475 dollars for the one night.....I was extremely disappointed. Didnt even bother to try and get a refund.
Position Too far from airport,
the breakfast was lovely, and it is very handy the position, the bathrooms need a fan
I enjoyed the closness to the city of Sydney and the harbour side views from our room. The additional cost of the car parking. The lack of exhaust fans in the bathroom.
Its location No
Ease of access to Darling Harbour Noise from streets.
The staff were really helpful and very welcoming.
Easily accessible to the inner city at an affordable price.
Friendly and helpful staff. Saturday night traffic outside is somewhat noisy.
Its closeness to Darling Harbour and the city. One of the toilet seats wouldn't open and close properly.
Very comfortable, quiet, close to the convention center and shopping, small cafes, weather no
Conveniently situated and although close to amenities was pleasantly quiet. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Reception staff - particularly Jessica- were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was really central for Darling Harbour. The first room we were offered on the 10th floor was very poor it was like being in a corridor and we were so disappointed not to have a harbour view but the reasonable priced upgrade made a world of difference
Locality Room's curtain had been broken & not replaced, so no privacy; very limited in room facilities
Friendly atmosphere. Serviceminded staff. Nice view and close to restaurants, shopping, museeums etc. I think the hotel could have free internet or at least a little cheaper.
Staff was very friendly over all! The woman working the front desk argued woth me at checkout over my bill, she looked up the wrong room even after seeing my name & the room was different. I understand different dialects and accents are hard to jugglbut more patience is important when dealing with internationals.
The views of city were great.....convenient for city access. not really.... just ok. The price has increased quite a lot from my last stay.
The hotel is near to a shopping mall, food & very near to some of the interesting places to visit. First of all, this is not a complaint.. This is just a purely suggestion. But i personally think that the room is too small for a price of AUD300 per night.. Perhaps upgrading your room to a slightly bigger room and changing your TV room to an LCD TV would be great.. And providing an extra pillow would be a bonus :)
The shower pressure. The room was disappointingly small. I realise that it would be expected that a twin single room would be small - I will however not book this room configuration in future. Also the view was taken up mainly by the curtain. I also thought that for a Habour View/City View it would have been higher than the 2nd floor.
Location; view of harbour Incredibly small room meant for one person only; had to crawl over spouse to get out of bed. Banged a sore knee into the wall when I turned over. Having no space on one side of the bed is unacceptable when two adults in a room. This was not told to us when we booked.
Being able to have everything within walking distance. And the view from the room of the sky line at night
