Cons: Pick up was awkward, there were no appropriate signs at the resort as to where it was. The woman at the bell desk gave poor directions, at best.
The car did not have a full tank when I picked it up, however, I dropped it off with the same amount and that seemed sufficient. The rental person attempted to tell me that if they fill it up on return, it's the same price as if a customer does. WRONG! Read the fine print, glad I did, it's $9.99 per gallon if they fill up FOR you. Soft credit check a necessity if you rent with a debit/credit card...good to know! Also, part of the body of the car (in two areas) began flapping in the wind as we drove! We pulled over to attempt to properly adhere them. Did we mention this to them? NO! The fine print states that whether or not YOU caused it, if anything happens to the car, it's YOUR fault! ....No, I'm so not kidding right now. I highly recommend the fine print reading!

Pros: The guys at the Dollar at Chaparral Suites Hotel made drop-off a breeze. They were super courteous and professional. I would definitely rent from Dollar again.

Slow derive, dirty car
Pros: Mazda 5 hatch back was a smooth ride comfortable
Cons: Very slow representative upon arrive to pick up car. I was there for 45 minutes to an hour to get in the car. Car was not cleaned, oil sticker was 5k miles over. Gave us the wrong keys to the car which held us up even longer. Offered no discount for dirty car, representing was honest and said car just came from phoenix airport and was dirty, however when I asked what she could do for us she said we can have it cleaned but you will have to wait for us to take it to car wash.

Wouldn't honor internet price
Pros: My big issue was I had a Kayak, confirmed price that the salesman stated didn't matter. That he needed to add additional fees, even though the price did include taxes an fees.
It also appears that he added additional cost as protection that he said would be returned at drop off ... That was not.
Martha, the salesperson there when returning, tried to apologize and make some concessions.
The original salesperson was Done. Terrible!
Cons: See above. Cost different that internet confirmed price.

Dirty, smelly, unhelpful
Pros: Car was a newish nissan, worked fine.
Cons: Attendant refused to do walk around. Car was dirty inside and out when I picked it up. It smelled of tobacco smoke badly and attendant just sprayed it with cheap aerosol spray, the car was unacceptably smelly. The location was very difficult to find. I've been to the hotel and conference center several times for conferences but the sign is impossible to see until you're standing in front of it. I'd never have known it was there if I hadn't asked.
Cons: I completely wasted my money. The dates for the rental could not be changed.

Good location, great service
Pros: Excellent customer service upon pickup and drop off at the Hayden Rd location. Rented the Chevy Impala and it was surprisingly comfortable and had a lot of power, too. I enjoyed driving it a lot.

Pros: Clean and well equipped car. Good price and quick check out.
Cons: Pestering about purchasing insurance. We get it, most people rented a car or two or three.
The hours of the location did not allow for an after-hours drop in which was inconvenient.
Check in check out process could be quicker.
The vehicle was dirty and you can tell they did not take a look inside as I found wrappers and spare change.

Pros: The serviceminded guy who helped us change our drop of station. We were not that pleased with the woman who helped us when we picked our car up, she was almost rude but we overcame that since the man was so mutch better to us.
We're also very pleased with the price.

Poor customer service
Pros: Car was clean
Cons: Tank not full when received at northright scottsdale location. About an 1/8 tank shy of full but had just pulled out of parking lot and didn't want to go back because woman rental agent had been abrupt, rude, never smiled; poor customer service. Also my reserved rate of $174.25 was not honored. I was charged approx. $65 more for the base rate plus an additional $200 hold.

Pros: Pickup location convenient and very efficient. We didn't have to wait long.
Cons: Car wasn't wiped down on the inside prior to our rental.
Pros: Kayak saved me alot of money on the car rental. The process was very smooth.

great rental experience
Pros: Great experience, decent rate for the area. When receiving car, the seat was at an odd adjustment for me, an employee (Jeff?) came right out to show me how the adjustment on that vehicle worked. Next time I visit I will do my rental exactly the same way with the same store.

Pros: They brought the second car to where I was staying, which helped and were courteous.
Cons: The location didn't have the car I requested ready. Gave me a car that had been returned with a low tire. No map. They had "run out". I had to exchange the car because the tire started to lose air again. The replacement had not been washed. We had to take the car to a different location to return it, because they were closed Sun. morning.
Pros: Easy pick-up & drop-off
staff member was accommodating
Cons: car was not clean to typical Avis standards: dog hair in rear of vehicle, windows needed a cleaning

Cons: Told I got a free upgrade only to be informed at the other end I was charged. Some roadside assistance charge added as well without my knowledge. Customer service don't want to know.
