Nicely appointed and spacious room. Free coffee at all times in the lobby. Friendly staff. The lobby area is decent, but not impressive. That's my only negative. Everything else was spot on.
Free breakfast was convenient and met our needs. Most of the staff had limited English skills.
The location was close to Busch Gardens and the pool was great. The sink was clogged up and when they unclogged it it made the room smell terrible! The housekeeping was a bit lacking as well. The room didn't get cleaned till close to 3 p.m. and the sheets weren't even changed! Not to mention the king size bed looked like it had queen size sheets and comforter on it. We left two days earlier than planned. The staff appeared a bit snobby as well. I will never stay in this hotel again. I would prefer to sleep in a tent!
The staff was very helpful and nice. The indoor pool seemed cold.
Friendly, helpfuf I got a gift but the manger failed to deliver it for 3 days,
Beds comfortable. Lots of room. Real HD tv. Room Very clean (except for smell ) No shower curtain. Room temperature hard to control. Room smells like stale cigarette smoke. Coffee products in room lacking.
The room was nice. The food was plain and undesirable. I stayed in room 301 which was by the stairs. The door kept banging all night long waking me up.
Lovely smart design of suite was efficient. Breakfast was good & all staff were friendly & efficient. Appreciated genuine feeling of interest Shower curtain not effective, allowing soaking of floor with everyone who attempted a shower. A bit dangerous there
Clean, comfortable, quiet, friiendly staff Nothing
Very spacious rooms, incredibly friendly staff, walking distance to restaurants (we recommend Food for Thought) and the outlets Gym doesn't have free weights but the cardio equipment is nice
Decor, Light Fixtures and Bedding was modern - clean lines. I liked two tvs, liked the handicap chair for pool, fresh healthy food choices for breakfast, helpful staff, liked location across the street from Food for Thought (will come again for that feature and bring my elderly mother) would have liked additional suitcase stand (only one provided). Prefer larger pool for lap swimming. change room at pool, & plastic bag to put your bathing suit
The price of the room was good for the size of it I didn't like that when you first walked in all you smelled was chlorine and the bathrooms didn't have an exhaust fan.
only working ice machine was on the ground floor

OMGosh--this hotel is gorgeous! You'll be impressed from the moment you enter the impressive lobby. The room was lovely, and immaculately clean. Hot breakfasts of eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, cereals, yogurt, juice. Helpful staff. The swimming pool water was cooler than I like, but I like very warm pool water. The hot whirlpool makes up the difference, though. Other than that personal preference of mine, everything was absolutely PERFECT.
The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond.
Great location, only minutes from the colonial area, downtown, and outlets. The room size, cleanliness, entire staff, and variety of breakfast options, and wi-fi were awesome! The front desk rep even called after an hour to check our room satisfaction. Our only concern was this rattling noise from the AC unit that was noticeable all night. Fortunately it didn't bother my wife and I used ear-plugs to avoid it.
Location and price Bed was not comfortable and the breakfast room was a disaster.
Competitive price with wonderful accommodations. Clean and nice sized room. Indoor pool was wonderful. Within 5 min of Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center and near good food options and grocery store also. No
Convenience, free breakfast was really good The parking lot needed more lighting

The hotel staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean.

Very wonderful staff. Every person I spoke to or encountered was truly kind and helpful. Seems trivial, but the coffee cups in the breakfast area were terribly small. Even just bumping up to 12oz would go a long way with pleasing guests and not cost a whole lot more.
They had updated their beds and looked nice . Things were clean There was a connecting door to the room next to us and the people in that room had their tv up loud but you could hear every word they said almost as if they were in our room. We had to move to another room due to the noise because we couldn't sleep. The eggs were terrible really only a $50 a night hotel
Beds and pillows wonderfully comfortable - great value for money Breakfast was not very nutritious; convenience foods. Disturbed by the amount of plastic plates, cutlery and throw away - not very environmentally conscious.
Nice building, good price, nice pool, good free breakfast each morning. It was a nice place to stay, convenient location to all historic triangle attractions at a good price.. We enjoyed our stay. The room had a slight musty smell when you first entered and the maid totally skipped our room for no reason one day during our stay.
Convenience. Ckean. Breakfast good. Nothing
Clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, pool, what else could you ask for? Very pleasant stay, my family and I will return when we revisit Williamsburg! Nothing
The room was great! Comfortable bed, spacious room, and very clean. The location is perfect for enjoying the local attractions. Our room came with a jacuzzi tub. I take showers and this tub was a trick to get in and out of.
Comfortable bed and pillows My stay was not long enough!
Great accommodations and friendly staff. Super convenient to restaurants and shopping.
Locations was great and check-in was easy. Great continental breakfast. Front desk assistant we semi-rude when our cards would not open the room door following dinner.
The hotel was very clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and room was elegant. Breakfast was a great add.
Clean, comfortable room. Hotel is close to everything!
The breakfast selection was amazing!! The bed/pillows were uncomfortable. Husband and I both woke a few times throughout the night and woke up hurting in the morning.
The room refrigerator and microwave ended up being quite convenient. We were particularly GLAD that given the other issues, that we didn't see any roaches or other bugs. *Room didn't smell fresh, in fact, it smelled musky, with a damp, slight urine odor. * Maids did not clean our room, which was disappointing, especially since they looked directly at us when we left, which was BEFORE 12:00PM. (Staff made excuses for possible reasons why.) * Although we booked and prepaid online, the front desk manager took a swipe of our credit card for possible "incidental charges" when we checked in. Upon checkout we had NO additional charges but were denied a receipt of proof, when we asked for a cleared account statement. * The sheets DID NOT seem to be really fresh!
Our room was clean, but coffee and soap were not replenished daily. It was a short drive to Williamsburg. We were gone all day to Jamestown, Yorktown and Monticello so the clean place to sleep mattered most. The hallways and elevator were hot and dirty. The pool was old and icky too. There was no AC in the lobby and hallways, only in the room.
The location was very convenient the indoor pool was a savior from the rain THE HOTEL WAS DIRTY there was an accident At the entrance with 3 cars that wasn't removed for hours while the staff was friendly they weren't very professional. They were out of uniform or in unclean uniforms.waiting to check in took over an hour i honestly didn't stay I just cancelled my reservations
Nothing To make it short, I booked it through KAYAK and when I got there they told me my reservation isn't there and its at a different date. I showed him my reservation and confirmation but he wouldn't do anything about and said it wasn't their fault. The attitude and manners were horrible.
Value and staff Boiler went out and we had no hot water, and the phone didn't work.
Not much! It was quiet. Convenient to great breakfast diner (Shorty's) and Food Lion 1) So much staff that did absolutely nothing 2) Bartenders that were clueless (staff too!) 3) Cleanliness of rooms = 0, maybe a .5 4) Front desk = sooo s-l-o-w 5) Was there for an event - food was late, then kept running out! Everything was cold. And did I mention the bartenders were clueless?
The price It was dirty , no towels ( I called the desk and they made me come get them) the tv only got 1 channel since we didn't have a remote and the bed was broken in the middle, the complimentary breakfast was to run until 10 am but they never restocked it at 9 or 9:30so my choice was cereal but no milk or bread prisoners get better choices WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!
The change in breakfast from the dining room to the foyer was poorly done. The room was not cleaned daily during out 4 day stay. The ice machine was not working and the coffee on our room was not resupplied daily.
The hotel was pet friendly and fairly priced, pretty clean too. I used to be a housekeeping manager so I learned a long time ago not to go shining black lights around. The staff was excellent with our dogs and very friendly. The hotel is mintues from bush gardens and colonel williamsburg. Rather loud bar scene in the hotel, which was fine we were there just Friday and Saturday night, the club goers didn't act like fools or anything, just be prepared fornthat if you are traveling with your family.
Nothing It was filthy. The room had mold. The hallways were disgusting and with faulty light fixtures and fire alarms were dangling from the ceiling. The pool had a woodplank in place of a broken window, and the hotel is NOT administered by Ramada.
I liked how close the hotel was to Busch Gardens. I liked the price. The bed was comfortable. Our TV did not work. At least two of our lamps did not work. And, due to unfortunate circumstances, there was no breakfast in the morning. Very disappointing.
The staff was working hard to help with all the issues Checked in around 9:30 pm from being at the local theme park all day. Noticed the hallways didn't look like they had been vacuumed in a while. Roomed looked ok but 10 pm was not the time to find out we didn't have any HOTWATER. We let it run for 10 minutes then called the lobby. They said due to recent work we needed to let it run for another 10. Well that didn't help at all. Called back and they gave us a new room on the other side of the hotel with no problems. The next morning while at breakfast i heard several others complaining about the cold showers. i know the breakfast is complimentry but hard boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal and waffles was the menu. Everyone was eating waffles because well really hard boiled eggs?? They had 1 waffle maker and it didn't always work correctly. The lady in charge was working very hard to keep everything clean and working. When you walk outside that's when you notice the flowers beds was overgrown in areas. My overall stay was not great and we will not suggest this place to anyone. The employees we encountered were great the hotel was simply in poor condition.
Although the bathrooms were new and the bedding all of the doors and floors were definitely very old and gross See above
Proximity to Colonial Williamsburg. Spacious room. Good breakfast.
The hotel must have been recently renovated with bold colors. There were plenty of choices for breakfast including hot and cold items. The shower was great. Definitely book online the price is much better than if you call. Great proximity to Colonial Williamsburg. The beds are very soft. I typically like a soft bed but these were almost too soft. My mother in law who has mobility issues had a hard time moving on the matress.
I really enjoyed your mattresses. They were so comfortable, I never had trouble falling asleep. I have Arthritis and the mattresses were very suportive. Pricing. We were told at check in that we could use our AAA discount. It would make the room about $76.59. Then we checked out ,we were billed higher and were told the person at check in couldn't have done that.
breakfast was great i think you need a pool out side . the one in side is too small
The hotel was a really good deal... the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was great (especially for only $2 each!), and there were cookies each day in the lobby. In order to get to Colonial Williamsburg you have to drive, it is not walkable. There is a bus that picks up near the hotel and goes to the colonial area, however it does not run very frequently.
noisy acclimatisation outside.
Everything was very good.
Room size, cleanliness, buffet, parking, decor Pillows were too small for a king size bed
Rooms were comfortable. Hotel was nicely maintained. Pool was open 24/7. Breakfast buffet was confusing. Some had vouchers some were pay as you go?
great price, location and breakfast.
The cleanliness The service was poor.
The room was very clean and very comfortable. There was an assortment of cookies that were just yummy ! There was not a Bar.
Good location very clean.Friendly staff. For the price need free breakfast. instead of 10:00 made to order.
24 hour "mini-mart", large desk w/power receptacles, laundry, WiFi, lobby decor.
This hotel has recently been renovated and it's lovely. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. The location was close to everything we needed for dining and visiting Busch Gardens. The water for the shower was only warm, not hot, both days. I'm sure everyone was showering about the same time but is to be expected in a hotel. That is the only thing we weren't entirely happy with.
There was a noisy pet on our supposedly pet free floor.
The best part of this La Quinta is the location. A drive of only a few minutes to Colonial Williamsburg. Our bathroom had no towel bar. I can't say I've ever stayed in a hotel with no way of hanging a damp towel. Not even a towel bar inside the shower, and no hook on the door. Therefore the only choice we really had was to use new clean dry towels the following night. The breakfast was sufficient, but very carb heavy. A meat product would have been nice; sausage patties or bacon. The beds themselves were comfortable but the sheets were definitely not the softest.
Very friendly staff, close to hwy and local attractions, Strong shower head and nice water pressure Clean parking lot and facilities, The beds weren't very comfortable and the room seemed cramped The pool was very chlorinated
There was a very nice young man who worked in the restaurant, named Tyler who went out of his way to help.He also was the acting supervisor during one of our conference meals so he is a jack of all trades. I thought the front office staff were not as friendly as they could have been. The housekeeping staff was slammed when I was there because of the different times people leaving and checking in to the hotel. My room was comfortable but some of my other friends who were there said that they had to wait until late in the afternoon before their room was cleaned.
Bathroom was clean but needed to be updated.
NoTHing!! Everything about this hotel was horrible. From the dirty rooms, smelly atmosphere to the fact they were under renovation that we didn't know until we got there!! If it wasn't for the fact we were EXHAUSTED, we would have asked for out money back and gone somewhere else!!!!
It was convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, with only a 3 minute drive. If you wanted to walk you probably could too. The price was the best around; we payed 230 for 3 nights. It wasn't the cleanest and needed to be updated. There was a crack in the sink, a couple of light bulbs were out, and holes in the sheets. If you go here, I suggest bringing your own blankets, and buying Lysol and comet to clean up beforehand.
The rooms were extremely small Had a bad smell very over crowded the hotel manager was extremely rude and to much construction not clean at all pull out bed was broken bathroom should just have standup showers because they were extremely small I will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN NEVER
Good location. Basics need renovation. Dirty wash cloth left in bathroom.
The room was nice and clean with a mini fridge. Very comfortable. The beds were definitely old but I was comfortable. Very good location - near everything without being off a highway or in a loud spot. The front desk gave a nice restaurant recommendation. The room came with two beds, but I'm pretty sure they were two full beds, not queen, which meant my fiance and I had to decide between sleeping in separate beds or squeezing into a small one. The wi-fi was free, which was great, but cut in and out constantly - varying from full strength to not connected at all. It's a very big hotel, so boosting their wifi capability would be great.
Great distance from busch gardens and water country, friendly staff Beds were awful my girlfriend and I woke up with sore backs and headache you can tell beds were warped and sheets barely fit on the mattress. There was a jacuzzi which looked nice but we went in and it was cold!someone knocked over a paper made sign taped to a cone saying broken.desk person said its been days doesn't know when it's being fixed
The available amenities. The mattresses were well overdue for replacement.one of the beds had a dip in it of over three inches. Cleanliness was questionable at best. Sliding glass doors were filthy. Rear parking lot was dirty and we had to step over a liquid oozing from the dumpster on our way to and from our room. I did not express our concerns to the staff.
Less then 5 minutes from the park. Beds were comfortable Had to duck to use the shower, room smelled like mildew. For the price would expect more.
It was close to the sites we wanted to see. Housekeeping was beyond poor, uren stains on mattress cover, and hair on the bathroom floor. We asked to have the bathroom cleaned but when we returned later we smelled bleach but the hair was still there.
Allowed pets, breakfast was excellent variety and taste Poor state or room - mold above shower and tub was dirty; stain on bedding; room smelled.
We liked the conveniene of being able to walk in to the town of Williamsburg We both thought the pool area could of been nicer , needed new chairs , tables & unbrellas
Price was so reasonable yet it came with good breakfast and a comfortable room. The ourdoor pool was perfect for children to release energy after a long drive. This is a perfect place to stay if you are gone most of a day and need just a place to sleep.
-pool -free wifi -dead bugs on bathroom floor -DIRTY bathroom -breakfast was gross
Location was good. The pool was nice & Clean. The rooms we above 90 degrees upon arrival. The bathroom was not clean. The bathtub had dirt and hair in it.The staff was promt to fix the situation but did not remove all the hair from the tub. The parking lot is very small. I had to use two spots to park my Ford f-350 longbed truck. I would not reccomend this hotel for these reasons.
Convenient location The bathroom area was small, no refrigirator or microwave for the room, did not like the breakfast offered
It is one of the closest hotels to the William and Mary campus (within walking distance) for a seemingly reasonable price. It did not feel clean. It is an old hotel with a very outdated bathroom (which was not pleasant to wash in). Both nights, we noticed small bugs in the beds. When turning the air machine from a cool to warm temperature, it sent out smoke which set off the fire alarm in the room. When checking out of the hotel, another resident was complaining to the front desk of a rash she received from the bed, most likely due to bed bugs, which was not comforting news. Overall, not a pleasant stay and overpriced for the quality.
The manager was really congenial, and quite professional and courteous when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the hotel and intent to leave. He was the bright spot in an overall unpleasant experience. The wifi, which we used in order to locate another hotel, worked fine for us. Hotel had significant problems with cleanliness. Towels had stains, toilet was not clean, water from the tub faucet smelled moldy, the room itself smelled musty, and the pool did not only have debris in it but also film on the water. We read the reviews ahead of time and were quite encouraged that this would be a real gem of a place at a great price, but the cleanliness was such an issue that we checked out within a couple of hours of checking in - something we have never done in our 24 years of traveling as a couple.
Friendly staff, safe area, the rooms are not super clean, and a little old... but over all its a safe place to stay for the night, location is excelent
The hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, restaurants etc., the room was clean, breakfast was good.
The staff was nice. It was only for one night. My toilet didn't flush. The ceiling was caving in a certain points. The sheets had oil spots in them. The bath tub had a crack in it. For some reason I was in a handicap room? The maid came into my room while I was sleeping. Make sure you keep the chain on at all times.
Close to Williamsburg Place and many other attractions. Room was clean, and we'll kept for the age of the hotel.
Very little. Heater did not work. Had to sleep with my winter coat on. Towels were so thin you could have used them as mosquito netting. Only one grab bar for shower. Older people with poor balance beware. Once you are in, there is nothing to hang on to. Railroad tracks only a couple of hundred yards away were constantly filled with freight trains rumbling through day and night. Barren foyer. Terrible art. Breakfast was dried out sausage, runny scrambled eggs, watered down orange juice, and terrible coffee. One of the worst hotels I have stayed in in over fifty years.
The bed wasn't horrible and the lady at the front desk was very pleasant. Our shower had barely any pressure and know to adjuse the water temperature was broken. Our door was also jammed so we had issues opening and closing it.
We were a little worried that we couldn't choose our room/bed type before arriving, but we ended up in a nice spacious room with a king bed that we really enjoyed. Microwave and fridge in the room were very helpful. Heard good things about the breakfast, although we didn't try it ourselves. Hotel staff was friendly. There were a few issues with the room (the drapes were ripped, the coffee pot didn't work, and the shower door was stuck and wouldn't slide) and they did not fix anything. For such a nice spacious room the shower was a disappointment - small, no tub, and the floor was yellowed and unappealing. The pool hours were a little restrictive, we would have happily gone down for a quick dip in the pool or spa after close (11 p.m.)
Very clean. Staff was very polite
The hotel is well situated, close to all three historic triangle attractions, restaurants, and the premium outlet. Staff were courteous, and the room was neat and clean. A good value. The rooms have a fan/blower under the window for heat and air conditioning. The unit switches off and on frequently. The unit in our room was very noisy and sounded like we were in an air tunnel, and so loud it woke us up at regular intervals during the night. Needless to say, we did not feel very rested in the morning.
Newer Clear Business class finishings. Frig in room No free breakfast The in-room lighting and design was terrible. (1) Bathroom LED lights were beyond too powerful. (2) no table by the bed with a lamp. (3) no room lights. The one lamp was in the corner and difficult to reach without climbing over a chair. Also, in general, Holiday Inn has the same 1960s room with nicer stuff. Will not use the chain again unless it is the only option.
No info on construction that was going on and pool and hot tub closed. Nothing like listening to a jackhammer on your weekend away with your wife. I was also told breakfast was included with our stay but then had to pay for it with no consideration and wasn't very good to say the least.
In general the quality of hotels in Williamsburg is very average. This hotel is no different. Cleaning staff are friendly and try hard but the entire building needs repairs and upgrades. Breakfast was decent but lacking in healthy options. Front desk staff were less than welcoming. Room has very small TV, no channel guide and very uncomfortable chairs. WiFi is very slow and spotty. Hotel computers are so outdated and slow they're absolutely useless.
The hotel was close to the park and close to food etc. but it's a tourist town so there are tons of hotels close by. The staff was pleasant and berry helpful. The building was very dated, one elevator that took for ever, our room was nothing special the bathroom was left dirty hair on the floor and it was sticky! The breakfast made my boyfriend and I sick.
Location and price point The attending manager was a bit kurt and rude during a few questions at checkout. The breakfast seating area is too too small for the amount of guests they hold so much so that the lobby now holds some standing room tables as an overflow but poorly implemented too few to be effective. Also the breakfast area was extremely short staffed as they were constantly running out of food on all days during my stay, guests were on line waiting for items to be cooked and served. I have stayed here before and had a much better experience however even though it was the labor day weekend they should have been better staffed and should have rethought the seating areas perhaps offering outdoor seating as an option.
although they said the hotel was non smoking we had people in the room next to us smoking. when we complained about the smoke we were told there was nothing they could do about it.
Location, fresh baked cookies.
The coffee and breakfast were good. The employees at the front desk were incredibly rude. When we checked in, one of our sheets was dirty and when we called the front desk about it, the woman working told us we could come get a new sheet if we wanted to, but didn't offer to come re-make the bed for us. The mattresses are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The fitness center was very limited and two of the machines didn't work at all.
Affordable, in a safe area. Staff was friendly and responsive to requests. Breakfast was decent. A good option when the higher end hotel chains jack up prices over the weekend. Large indoor pool. Carpet was old and worn down. Needed to be vacuumed under the beds. Description was misleading, said "1 BR with a pullout sofa. " definitely expected an actual separated BR, not the case.
The only characteristic that I found enjoyable of the place was when I was not staying there. It is located within a reasonable distance to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Where to begin? The key cards de-magnetized at the slightest handling. The beds were so terrible that I actually slept on the floor. I could feel every spring in their crappy mattresses and could not get a wink of sleep. The ceiling of our room looked like there had been multiple water damage instances involving a leaky roof. The room smelled musty. It was only one step above "Crack den". The breakfast was terrible. The eggs were probably powdered and tasted worse than the eggs they serve in the Navy (and in prisons). The potatoes tasted like cardboard. They should just skip those and stick to toast and bacon. The cost of this room was $285 (including tax). When I pay that much money for two nights, I expect to at least enjoy my bed. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE except a crackhead.
Location Comfortable Beds Indoor Pool Cleanliness of Rooms Good value for the price Breakfast could use improvement - Eggs tasted fake and weird toasters took way too long - 2 rounds and English muffin was still barely warm, not dark at all seating for breakfast - chairs too big, bulky and heavy. almost impossible for person sitting against the wall to get out. chairs in guest room were very uncomfortable.
Everything was neat and tidy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfy beds. Good night's sleep and nice breakfast in the morning as well. Already made reservations to stay again.
Very nice hotel with no problems with the room and/or staff The coffee machine produced probably the worst coffee I have had in recent times.
I loved how it was so spacious and clean. I also loved the fact that i could bring my dog. This was a huge convenience for us since we could not leave him at home. no
The room and the breakfast were definitely the best of this hotel
It was well equipped for the price, soft comfy beds and plenty of pillows (I like a lot of pillows and usually have to ask for more), clean and nicely decorated. Would have preferred a check-out time of 12pm instead of 11am.

Location Plenty. Old property. Limited accessibility, choice if room, choice of bedding.
